I was looking through the menus for the TS restaurants I have reserved and I'm concerned about the kids menus. This is our second trip to WDW, but first with DDP (basic). My kids are not the type to eat chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese.
I'm hoping you experts out there can help me - is it possible to order a kids sized portion of an adult meal and have it count as a kids TS credit?
I have the following ADR's for dinner:
Wolfgang Pucks
Le Cellier
Whispering Canyon
I would appreciate any words of wisdom!

Looks like those rest. are perfect picks as they each have something from the grown-up menu that is also on the children's. You might pay OOP for an apetizer for them to split as well depending on their hunger. Also the meals are huge so I am sure that you and your husband will also be able to share some of your meal with them.

Click on the Dining tab above and you'll be able to see menus for each place and can decide on items that might appeal to your children.
We did not choose any of the places you have so I have no first hand experience with those places. I will say that kids eating habits can change so quickly, so what they won't eat this week, they might be willing to try by the time of your trip.
Our then 5/6yo now 7yo loved and loves pizza, but now will also eat some fish, certain veggies and has loved mac and cheese since he could pronounce it. I would really consider having at least one buffet in your line up as the kids can have anything on the buffet, not just the kids section.

As mentioned, most places generally have one more "sophisticated" menu item so if the kids are not too particular about what that one item is, there are some decent kids meals out there.
We went to WCC last August and DS9 loved it. He ordered the skillet (along with DMom and I) and really enjoyed all the meats. They also let us order shakes and smoothies on the DDP. All total, he had a mango smoothie, watermelon appy, the salad and cornbread, all the meats that came on the skillet (he loved the ribs and pulled pork), and worms in dirt for dessert. He was thrilled with the variety. :thumbsup2
I haven't been to the other places you mentioned, but DS9 found the kids' fish meals to be good as well. He had Mahi Mahi at Coral Reef and salmon at CRT.
Anyway, in the last 2 years, DS had been on the kids' DDP and has not ordered chicken nuggets or mac & cheese at either TS or CS one single time.
Have a great trip!:goodvibes

2 years ago at Le Cellier my then 3 yr old daughter ordered the steak and loved it! They even recommended a smoothie for her made to look like an adult mixed drink (like a frozen strawberry daquiri). That was before all the changes though. . .

thank you very much everyone!! All that information has greatly set my mind at ease - I was very close to cancelling some ADR's and only eating at buffets the whole trip.
This is a fabulous community!
