We are seriously thinking of getting AP's. We just went in December/January. Are thinking about going in late April and for sure are going in October 2009. We probably will go back early April 2010, too. I think the AP is a better value for us BUT are there any other benefits to it just then being cheaper than buying the tickets each time we go? Like do they offer room discounts for AP holders at all?

All Ears (http://www.allearsnet.com) has a fantastic and very complete list of benefits and FAQ on APs HERE. (http://allears.net/pl/apass.htm)

If you plan on going more than 11 days in a 366 time period and would get hoppers, you are crazy not to get APs as it is cheaper (especially for 3 trips) than buying tickets.

They are certain things that are available only to AP holders from time to time: pins, resort discounts, store discounts (including the Disney Store), previews, free parking, etc. See the above link for more details.

We got rooms at the Grand Floridian for our upcoming trip for less than $300/night with our AP. I think that rack rate is $399.

AP holders can also buy the Disney Dining Experience Card, now known as Tables in Wonderland. Gets you 20% off your cheque, including alcoholic beverages. An 18% gratuity is automatically added, but we tip more than that anyway.
