I think she'll go for the slide. :)

Laura, no, you didn't make my timeline but as soon as we got home I sprinted into the house to read your update!:rotfl2: Then I helped unload the car...:cutie:
Anita
Glad that errands took the backseat to DISing..
Oh, wow! It sounds like this is just the beginning of the surprises!!! :goodvibes
There is nothing as great as the room coming up...
Laura, I think someone must have dumped a load of pixie dust on your family!:cloud9:
But there were some not so great moments later.... when I wondered where the magic went!
I never did find it - I had never heard of them moving a family to another resort, so I was thinking more along the line of one of the suites at CSR. I'll keep the "secret" quiet...;) I think CP might have something similar up her sleeve...
That is SO great about getting rack rate credit!!!!!!!!!! :wizard: That's like $300 isn't it???! And other credits? AWESOME! I'm so excited to read about them all!
Yep, someday we will stay at BLT-when it's inital popularity has worn off and we can get it at 7 months. I wish their rooms were the same as the main hotel though, I think the main hotel is prettier, but I do like BLT too-and the monorail with small kid(s)....I think I would LOVE that.
It was over 200 dollars... and at first I thought they were going to suite us there or something like that. I am glad we went to the Contemporary.... I loved it, the kids loved it, DH loved it.... I would highly recommend it, and I was not a fan before.
That's what I was thinking.
What a start! :cool1:
Thanks MeMom!
I read your tripee last year and loved it. My family always goes in Novemeber, so reading this really gets me going! I can't wait for the next installment:)
I have a big one for tomorrow hopefully!
I say yes to Em, and I think they are going to love that pool!
I did not realize until the second day there were two pools...
So pretty! I say yes to the slide!
I liked the slide!
Your room looks like a great location. I can't wait to read about the pool.
It was crazy to follow the corridor, I did better taking the outside path, but who knows.
Check out all the space in that room!!! Wow!
Love the bathroom -- how were the sinks -- did they drain well or threaten to overflow!
I am intrigued by the list of activities -- can't wait to see which ones your girls did.
Hurray for upcoming pool pics!
Those rooms are huge. The pics don't do it justice. We had two queens, a daybed and the pack and play and still lots of room. The bathrooms were huge too. Way bigger than any other Disney resort room...I wish they made them that big now a days.
I saw that you had posted over on LL's PTR so I thought I would come by...wow your pictures of the Contemporary are just gorgeous!! And you have some beautiful children...I'm going to go back and read but I can't wait to catch up and hear all about your trip!
Thanks for joining in.
wow.....so cool that you got moved to CR! it's not my dream resort or anything but i'd jump at the chance to stay there a couple of nights just to experience it. that kids check-in is so cute! can't wait to see how it all turns out!
by the way, the link that you have for "our room" on your index doesn't link to the post but a reply but someone. just thought you might want to know! ;)
Fixed the link, sorry!
I am telling you it is a fantastic resort. I loved WL, but this has the best transportation.... and great dining options, stores, pools, activities, staff!
Wow and Oh My Goodness!! :yay: How amazing!!

It was great, hard to live up to though.
Wow! I love your view. I would love to stay on the ground floor, but DH has something against it.
I think she'll go for the slide. :)
The upstairs garden view did not have balconies... which I would have missed and did miss at CSR!
I am going for a yes on the slide for Emily:yay:. She is a little trooper. The view looks great.

These are not the pictures I imagined that would be starting out your trip report! As for style, I'm not a Contemporary-type person, but it sure would be awesome to be steps away from Magic Kingdom for a few nights!
I'm sure the girls weren't old enough to feel like royalty as they checked in, but one day they'll look back and realize what a great opportunity that was!
And this getting back to reality talk...
I can't take much of that.

The grounds look much prettier than I thought they would! And the pic of BLT is great. My kids would LOVE to be at a monorail resort, I think. :goodvibes It was so easy when I was a kid and we stayed at the Poly. Of course, there was no DHS or AK then. We tried to hop a bus to AK after breakfast at Chef Mickey's last Sept., and had a heck of a wait. I don't know how much you rode the buses while you were there, but did you find them to be convenient?

Isn't it great how you can plan and plan...and plan and still end up with lots of surprises? Your view looks great! DH would love the Contemporary. I'd love to have all that extra space and the garden wing room still seems lovely. Glad to hear the family liked it too!!

Emily has no fear... she puts big kids to shame! Too bad she is about an inch short of 40 inches!

I took a lot of pics that first day or two... and I am now a Contemporary fan! I wish I would have gone up to the California Grill just to see. Next time!
Wow! That room looks awesome! And I love the pics on the way to the pool. Can't wait to read more!
The rooms were super nice, I like the remodel. I was most thrilled by the space though...
I'm anxious to see how the pool rated for your family. That is one of the reasons that I have never seriously thought about staying at The Contemporary....we'll just ignore the price. ;)
You know that slide is actually from River Country. The lifeguard who got to know my crew well told us that. While it is not a pretty slide, it is a fun one!
Plus the additions to that area they are making are fantastic... more about that later!

We only did one bus ride. It was similar to the bus experiences at WL. I am sure that the ride to AK takes a while, hence we made some changes to our plans:rolleyes1
How exciting to be upgraded to a deluxe ! Especially to a resort you wouldn't normally pick.
I would recommend the Contemporary to anyone... I was really surprised!

The plans at times went out the window... it is harder to travel with seven, an infant who you cannnot be sure how he would act, unbelievable heat and a three year old who certainly had a mind of her own. But we had a great trip...

Off to the pool....
Our first Mickey sighting...
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0109.jpg
Of course my brave soul did the slide. Hannah, Doug and Em all headed up to the top... and all loved it!
It was super nice to be in warm pool water, it had not gotten warm here at home yet, so our swimming had been in cold water!
The slide was fun, fast, and there was almost no line. We found the shady spot and camped out. There were always plenty of seats poolside, which was nice. I also thought the pool had tons of lifeguards, way more than CSR. It was funny because it got deeper towards the middle, so Hannah would all the sudden not be able to touch.
There was a lot of area around the pool being rehabbed. It was not so pretty, but I am super excited to see the final results: a water playground. Interesting... there also was no baby pool, but my kids did not care.
Here are some pics:

Along the way I chatted with another family that had been moved from CSR. They were moved for one night too, refunded one night, but were unhappy about the time they lost.... I think I would have thought twice for a one night move too. They also had two rooms traveling together, and at first put them way apart at the Contemporary, but they quickly resolved that. I think that the resort had lots of rooms...

I didn't realize they were building a splash park! That is really great to hear. They had it under construction when we visited in January, but it was not evident what was going on. I'm really glad they are expanding the area-it seemed like a very simple pool for a Deluxe when compared to AKL or WL.
I'm really glad to read your positive review of the CR, it just makes me want to stay there even more!!!!

Downtown Disney Time!!!
We showered and got dressed and ready to hit DTD.

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0111.jpg
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0112.jpg
This was hot... so the girls did not cooperate much, but I knew during the daytime it would be worse.
We walked through the Contemporary and wait only a few minutes for the DTD bus to pull up... I think we stopped by the Poly on the way!
By this point we were hungry, but of course the bus put one child to sleep- Emily. I guess that swimming did her in. So we carried Luke and put Emily in the stroller, which meant we were off to find food and a high chair for Luke.
To be honest I love to spend time at DTD. I prefer a morning or afternoon to the crazy evenings, but I did not see that fitting this trip. I looked at tonight as our possible only DTD time, so I needed to see what we wanted for sure and do the shopping!
We went to Earl of Sandwich for dinner. Honestly there was not much of a line. Hannah wanted grilled cheese and I agreed to split a salad and sandwich with DH. He was to order and I started to feed Luke.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0116.jpg
The food was yummy as always, we got a ton and our bill was under twenty. A good deal if you are not on the dining plan! Unfortunately Emily slept and missed dinner, and Hannah ate every bite. We were going to get Emily something when she woke up:rolleyes1
We headed through the TrenD, Team Mickey and then onto Basin. The sky was darkening quick... rain was coming so DH said make it quick! Hannah even spent some of her own money on this
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0118.jpg
This was the only thing she asked for all week. I consider myself lucky because my kids just don't ask to buy things. Em had a short list of things she wanted, but really it was stuff that Hannah had that she did not.
We got our purchases (I bought the Mickey head soap bar-- strawberry I believe) and we got to The World of Disney before the rain poured.
Just as we left Basin, Sleeping Emily woke up. There was no way to get her food now, it was just pouring, lightening and all. I knew we could get a snack at the WOD if we had to... but we kept it quiet.
We decided to do most of our shopping that night (Disney Visa discount, the tote bag deal, and a 40 dollar gift card if you spent 200). For a while we stayed together, but it got hard so eventually the girls and Luke parked it with DH in a corner, which was hard to find because once it poured the store became a madhouse!
You always have to try hats on....

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0126.jpg
after this Emily was hungry. I had really no food that she would eat with me (snacks were with Grandma, packed in the car) so we bought a set of the suckers to appease her for a bit. Actually she ate one of the set before we paid... but we had to do something...
Emily wanted a musical jewelry box and the Alladin figurine set, Hannah got a HS Musical hairthing. They decided on two autograph books with dad, the princess and Fairies book.
Luke made out, he got the Fab 5 figures (the oversized set) a pirate Mickey plate, bowl, cup and silverware!
We also got our 2009 ornament and album, a puzzle for this winter, a set of pirate Mickey and Friends cups (we got a set for our neighbors too) and a frame.
I got my much sought after red bag---and the tote.
Here is a picture of the stuff, plus just a few more items, we really were done shopping!
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0761.jpg
We still needed Ears for Luke and pins, but knew we had plenty of time!
We were "stuck" in there for over two hours, and finally made our way back to Earl of Sandwich as it drizzled to get Emily the same sandwich that Hannah had hours ago.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0132.jpg
Afterwards we went to the Christmas store. I knew we had to order Luke's ornament to be personalized....
While I ordered the girls watched tv. Grr... I had to pick the ornament back up after Friday. They would not ship to the resort because we didn't know our room number. This to me is stupid. They don't take things to the room anymore anyway. Oh well. I figured at least my parents would make a trip down there, or I could always get back there.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0134.jpg
By this point it was almost ten. I figured there was no light parade on the water, it was still raining or Wishes that night. The girls were done shopping, so we did miss some of the areas, which made me sad. However taking the three there was hard enough, so we headed back.
We walked back to the bus stop, waited less than a minute and were back to the Contemporary!
But we needed a treat for the night...

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0146.jpg
So after we enjoyed our Mickey bars and purchased our mugs, we headed back to the room. Hannah quickly fell asleep, then DH and Luke. Em struggled a bit since she took a late nap, so we watched some Disney shows and before long we were dreaming Disney dreams of the trip ahead!
ooops! I forgot until I looked. The girls had worn their swimsuits under their outfits. They thought they had a date with the fountains. Unfortunately there was a dj doing a kid dance party on the fountains when we arrived and then the rain! They were not even on that night, so no go!

The update was great! Every single picture of the kids is adorable. The pirate crew picture looked fun and I loved the picture of Luke with his crackers....
Wow, sounds like it really poured but that is a great excuse to get your shopping done and I can think of much worse places to get trapped by a rainstorm!
You got some great souvies and I'm glad Em got some dinner!
The Mickey bars were the perfect way to top off the evening, but I'm not seeing a picture of Luke eating his!?!
Sounds like a very fun evening was had by all!
Oh and I'm glad you and Hannah got your soap from Basin, I'm still kicking myself over that one.....

You two are brave taking 3 kids into WoD with a single stroller! I am impressed. :)
I love all your purchases. I insist on getting an ornament and an album each trip too. The puzzle is a great idea for those snowy winter days, I'm going to steal that idea from you (as well as many others I'm sure).
I love EoS and it is a must for us each trip. That stinks that they didn't get to play in the fountains. I remember your past pictures of them running around.
So lucky to be on the monorail. What a dream!!

What a great update and a great night at DTD...I always try to make one of my first stops the WOD store so I can pick things up and I have to tell you I love that cream tote bag, I wonder if it will still be there because I would love to get my hands on one of those for the school year.
I just adored your pictures in the store you have some really cute kids and it looked like they had fun and ending the night with Mouse Ears...always a great way!

My DH would go shopping that very first night too - I'm always the one arguing with him, because I'm afraid I'll find something ELSE later on. Maybe if I plan better, I'd be more successful! I kinda like the idea of your first day - just the pool and DTD. We're always flying in early and starting our package that first day, but I like your idea SOOOO much better!
You guys look like you had a ball, and finishing up with Mickey bars sounds like the way to go! :thumbsup2 Doesn't WOD just get PACKED when it rains?? And it seems to rain anytime we go to DTD in the evening...Glad you found what you wanted!

That is just a random from Earl of Sandwich. I loved it too, Hannah's smile had issues as the trip went on... so it is funny to see
It was a massive shopping spree. I just wanted the darn canvas bag, DH was all for getting the shopping done.
The update was great! Every single picture of the kids is adorable. The pirate crew picture looked fun and I loved the picture of Luke with his crackers....

I like the little CS place there at the Contemporary. I think it was super fun to watch the monorail whiz by while snacking!

So lucky to be on the monorail. What a dream!!
There is a stroller rental place there now. I wanted to investigate if we could have used our length of stay rental there too, but I did not check. It was a bit trying, Emily was a bit of a pill at first after waking up and Luke is 20 lbs!
We have year ornaments for all our trips... one bit the dust this past year, but that is okay. It happens. Buying the album makes me eventually print pictures, I am waiting for a great deal and the photopass CD for that.
EoS never disappoints. It was yummy and I was hungry. I did not care what DH picked!
What a great update and a great night at DTD...I always try to make one of my first stops the WOD store so I can pick things up and I have to tell you I love that cream tote bag, I wonder if it will still be there because I would love to get my hands on one of those for the school year.

I think the canvas tote will be my school bag. I just pulled the one I have been using out and thought I would change. I figure having a Disney school bag will remind me why I go to work!
I love the Mickey Ice Cream bars, I had been waiting to have one!
I LOVE all your purchases......I am starting to make a list of things to hunt down while we are there in September!!!!
I had my list... which MeMom's pictures always helped me add to. Honestly we did very little buying after that evening....I will share them later!

I figured if I found something I liked better later we could return an item, but we did not. I liked having the down day on our arrival day, it was fun to relax!
WOD was crazy, but we were stuck. It was monsooning and the lightening was crazy. We just figured we could wait it out.

Wednesday, June 17th
Looking back this might be my favorite day! There is absolutely nothing more wonderful than your first morning waking up at WDW! In this case we were at a fabulous hotel and had a special breakfast planned before a day of swimming and resort fun!
My sweetie Luke decided to start the day early, around 5:30. So he and I headed to the patio for a bottle and to just watch. Two ducks joined us for the morning (no camera outside, sorry) so we just chatted with the ducks. About 6:30 I showered and then he and I headed to the main building. We were going to do some resort exploring, MeMom Style!
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0147.jpg
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0148.jpg
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0150.jpg
My first stop was to see if the CM could check for dining possiblities at EPCOT the next day:scared1: I had decided we wanted to take advantage of the Monorail and try to switch our AK and EPCOT days. My problem was I had a dinner reservation at The Coral Reef on Friday, and nothing tomorrow. If we were going to EPCOT I hoped to have a reservation...
The CM checked and when she offered Tuttio Italia at 3:00 I took it. I figured we could talk about it later, I had seen some good reviews of late and we like Italian, so why not! First change, and not much of a problem!
We headed to the main floor and walked toward the MK end, where we found the most fantastic patio! We spent a good 45 minutes just sitting there, soaking up the atmosphere, watching the monorails start!

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0158.jpg
Then we went in and roamed through the three stores on 4, filled my mug, and sat by the DVC area by Chef Mickeys. I chatted a bit with the CM who was nice, (never imagining that we would be buying) and people watched. It was super fun watching the families come off the elevator to their Chef Mickey breakfast! So many excited people!
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0159.jpg
Finally around 8:30 we headed back to see what the rest of the family was doing. We had a breakfast at 9:55 to get to!
So everyone showered and dress and we headed back towards the monorail!

So we were quickly seated with our wonderful breads in hand! The juice was a jungle juice blend, super yummy. Our table was behind the station where the meats are cooked, but it was nice, I was not sure how Luke would react to the characters. The fruit was out super quick, so the girls ate the carbs and Luke loved the fruit. I could not cut quick enough!

Luke was not so sure about him!
Then it was time for some dancing and parade movin'. Our tray of food came then so I got the plates ready with eggs, potatos, Mickey Waffles, bacon and sausages! It was really good!
Then Pluto

We set off to explore the grounds, but my girls had other ideas. They wanted to swim!
So we jumped back on the monorail ( I was so thankful that we were at the Contemporary... this meal was so easy to get to!)
And I got off... at MK! I had been told at CSR that I could have our tickets printed for the next day so that we would not have to go and check in at CSR before heading to the parks. DH took the kids back to the resort, and I was going to take care of the ticket situation! I went to the ticket booth and explained my situation, the CM placed a call to CSR and then issued my tickets. It just took a few minutes. I think he thought I was crazy to not be going to into MK then, but I wasn't. Then came the problem... we had tickets to get into the park, but no dining for tomorrow. He could not issue that, that had to come on our Keys to the World room key. So the trip there was in vain. I now had paper tickets, and was not sure if I could get them back on my room key, but I figured I could. Also we needed our meals tomorrow at EPCOT. So at this moment I realized someone had to go to CSR before EPCOT tomorrow morning to check in. I was a bit frustrated because the CSR manager acted like I would have no problem, but I had not been specific in regards to our dining plan issue. I was not going to let this upset me...
Oh well... so I headed back to the monorail.... and off to find my family!
Up next: swimming what else!

like someone before me said, your kids are just absolutely adorable! i don't even know which picture to quote because they're all so good! luke was looking at lilo like, "what in the heck is that????" :lmao: so funny that emily was scared of the characters but she'll stand with that creepy-looking tiki guy! :rotfl2:
i hope you got the meal thing worked out. two years ago in september of '07 they didn't add the DDP to our ressie by mistake and couldn't work it out until DVC opened (i was with tara at OKW on DVC points) the next morning at like 10:00. we would be at MK by then and didn't want to have to come all the way back to OKW to work it out in the middle of the day so they told us to just buy our food and we'd get reimbursed when we stopped by the lobby on the way to the room the next night. i hope they did something like that for you!

I loved watching Luke with the characters. And he sure seemed to be having a great time on that patio! What a great spot for pictures!! I could easily see spending a while just looking. It's nice to at least have something fun to do like that when the little ones are up so early. I remember in Virginia Beach when my littlest was only about 2 months old, he woke up in time for me to watch the sunrise over the Atlantic. Not something I probably would have done on my own :rolleyes1, but something I ended up enjoying.
The dining plan issue is a bum - who wants to waste good vacation time going from resort to resort on Disney buses? (Nothing against Disney buses, but they're not the quickest form of transportation when you need to do something like that) Looking forward to seeing what happened!:surfweb:

Congrats again on the DVC!
The leis were fun and our O' Hana's pic was good, we even bought it.
Thanks for the early morning pictures of the Contemporary. You're right, that patio had a marvelous view, and what a cute picture of smiling Luke.:)
It was so peaceful. We saw one jogger but that was it. I loved just being able to sit outside and relax. Luke was not a sleeper at WDW, so the patio was missed come CSR.
What a great morning, just you and the little man! How did you keep him contained while you took a shower? I have a feeling me and my little man will have many early mornings as he likes to start mornings at 5 am when he is on vacation. ;)
You got some really great pictures too. I am longing for WDW right now and your pix just gave me the fix I needed. :)

He was a bit taken aback by Stitch... he is kinda scary. There is no forcing Emily to do anything, nor talking her out of anything either. She is a force to be reckoned with.

Laura, I love your backpack! What print is that?
The backpack is in a retired pattern. I got it last year from the Vera Bradley outlet sale, I think it was Mesa Red. I loved that pattern, my Hipster is in it. I cracked up a few times when I realized DH was hauling it on his back, we used two bags on park days, a regular backpack and that one.

Luke was a trooper. I had visions of him being hard, because he is demanding. He was not a good sleeper at night, but he was fantastic despite the heat and hectic days. He never was bad, unless he saw the bottle being made and we did not get it to him quick enough!

That came in the car with my parents. I figured it took less car space, plus I would have been mad if the airlines broke it. However the big stroller did go to the parks somedays... he could recline and sleep easier in it.

Wednesday, June 17th
After we reunited in our room we quickly got our swimsuits on and headed to the pool. Once again plenty of poolside seats, but we headed back in the shady corner. Everyone took a dip, and then Luke started the eye rubbing, which lead to this
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0215.jpg
and he was quickly asleep in his stroller again.
Our plans for the day included:
3-3:30 Temporary Tatoos
3:30-4:00 Giant Jenga
4:30-5:00 Pool Basketball
5:00-6:00 So you think you know Disney Trivia?
8:00 Campfire on the Beach
8:30 Movie under the stars
10:00 Electrical Water Pageant /Wishes
So we swam from probably 12:30 to around 2:45. The kids kept the slide busy,
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0217.jpg
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0218.jpg
and then we headed inside for a snack/ late lunch.
Emily and Hannah split the nuggets kids and I got a salad. DH had some of my salad, and the girls fought about the darn chocolate pudding ordered by DH....
we must have missed the tatoos, which was fine because quickly the kids got involved in the Jenga

taking some quick dips to stay cool! They also shot a few baskets too.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0227.jpg
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0229.jpg
We were super ready for trivia, and got started on the game... but then the rain started, slow with my kids still swimming, but then the lightening and thunder started, so the pool area was closed. They had some awesome prizes, but we got a few rubber ducks for playing...
So we headed back to our room to regroup, pack and check in again with my parents. They thought they would be at the Contemporary around 7, so we decided to get dressed... and head to the main building.
Once there we decided we had time for a trip around on the monorail. We planned to eat dinner with them. So we took our twenty minute ride...
and went back to the counter service place. DH and the girls ordered dinner.... I was still stuffed from lunch , and thinking now I never ate dinner that night?
My parents arrived, grabbed food and we ate with them, heading out to the beach around 8 for the campfire, but sadly the rain had ruined it for the night.
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0230.jpg
But the movie was on, and we headed to get swim suits on the girls...
and they swam, explored the beach and were disappointed again (technical difficulties... the movie, Pinocchio never started). Part of me was now thinking they were preparing me for leaving tomorrow, since the last three activities we had planned on doing fell apart!
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0231.jpg
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0232.jpg
So around 9:30 we all separated. DH and EM headed to the patio to see Wishes... grr, Luke and I walked to get him tired, and at 10:15 Hannah and my parents made a beeline to the lake to catch the water Pageant.
Finally around 10:30 everyone pass out, we were packed up and ready to head to EPCOT the next morning. My mom and I were taking the monorail with the kids, and DH and my dad were headed to CSR to check in. They were going to catch a bus from there and meet us at EPCOT!

I am so sickened by the accident with the monorails. I have always loved to ride the monorail at WDW, and it was especially special this trip to stay at the Contemporary. Isn't the monorail accident tragic? I've been thinking about it all morning. You are absolutely right. Bad things aren't supposed to happen in WDW and certainly not to the monorail. I don't know if I'll look at it the same way again? I'll be interested to see what they find to be the cause of the accident.

Luke is just adorable in his swimsuit and shirt. I almost had to do a double take because B. has the same hat, similar shirt, and similar trunks.
Your girls really like to swim and I'm surprised they are just not wiped out by the end of the day. I guess with all the excitement it is hard to settle down.
I'm so upset about the monorail accident. It was the first thing I heard on CNN this morning. So sad that the driver was only 21. I hope they find out what happened quickly and get the problem resolved. Must be so strange to not see any monorails today...

What a sweet update!! Your kids look like they LOVED the pool!! Too bad you didn't get to see the movie. They do that at the Grand Floridian, too and guests from the Poly get to go--since it rained every night we were unable to see any of them, though--on our list for next time!! Can't wait to read more!
I'm also saddened by the monorail accident. Praying for everyone involved!

Another great update! My favorite picture is the one of Luke by the pool with his bottle-a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e!! Reminds me of my ds at that age--give him a bottle and all is right with the world:cloud9: Looks like everyone had a great day hanging at the pool even if the last few things fell through.
It is so sad about the monorail accident. We rode it so often this last trip...I keep wondering if he was our driver at some point.

What a fun afternoon and evening at the Contemporary! That's a shame about the last three activities not quite working out as planned though. :(
The monorail accident is just tragic! It has haunted me all day -- the monorail is just one of those things I always think of when I think of Disney. :( That poor CM and his family.

Oh, how much fun you must've had! I swear, I'm going to learn a lesson from you and really, truly take a day to enjoy the resort. I'm so glad you got to upgrade like this - what a lot of wonderful memories for you!
I think that there are lots of reasons why the monorail accident has me so upset today - but the top two are that the poor man was just doing his job trying to get happy vacationers back to their beds, and that it's Disney World. Like you said, bad things just aren't supposed to happen there! All we can do is pray now that his family finds some peace eventually, and that Disney can pinpoint what went wrong so that it will never happen again.

Oh my goodness, look at that little baby belly! :cutie:
Too bad some of your activities were ruined. I hate that when it happens. I do think that you couldn't have been upgraded to a better resort for your first two days though. What a nice way to explore a new place!
I hope the morning goes smoothly....:rolleyes1
It was sad that the last day we could not do all that we had hoped to experience at the Contemporary. But it was all more than we expected. I was a bit miffed about Wishes... DH failed to say where they were headed, so I ended up going to the beach with the rest the gang. oh well... it was just a little thing.
I can't believe how sad that is. I feel so bad for all of those involved. :guilty:
I can't really grasp how horrid it would be. And how much of a mess today's transportation would be... a busy holiday weekend none the less!
What???!!!! :scared1: What happened???!!
I am sure you know...
Oh my gosh, I just sent Marc off to find out the details...
How tragic!
We had a young driver last year when we sat in the front. I never would sit in the front again, and probably will be more forceful about keeping my entire party together. We separated once, it give me chills thinking that now.
Great update! I can't get over how many activities they had planned (even if several of them didn't work!). The kids look so cute in their suits!
Isn't the monorail accident tragic? I've been thinking about it all morning. You are absolutely right. Bad things aren't supposed to happen in WDW and certainly not to the monorail. I don't know if I'll look at it the same way again? I'll be interested to see what they find to be the cause of the accident.
I wonder what we will ever find out... Disney keeps things hush hush I think at times.
I'm so sorry you had some bad luck on your last night. I'm sure you would have had a great time! It does look like you made the best of it though. The Giant Jenga looks really fun, Hannah looks like quite a pro. Did Em ever pull one out?
It's fun to see you all enjoying the pool so much, we usually never take the time to really enjoy our resort. That did finally change for us this trip though...
Hannah would say later the big kids wouldn't let Em, but the Em I know never lets anyone push her around. We love resort time... in fact I learned how much we need it this trip.
What a bummer that you evening activities got washed out (literally) and then the movie was canceled. :headache:
It looks like you guys enjoyed your time at the Contemporary though, taking full advantage of the upgrade. :thumbsup2
The movie probably would have been a backdrop. My kids picked the pool over sitting, but would have caught bits and pieces I am sure.
look at that belly!!!!! so cute and huggable!!!! :goodvibes
i love how luke has your DH's sunglasses, sort of like, "hmmmmm....what are these? i think i'll try them on." :rotfl:
really cool how they had all those activities for the kids. too bad some of them didn't work out. sounds like you guys had a full day anyway though!
this is just awful. my sister called me this morning to tell me. i hadn't been on the internet yet and hadn't even turned the TV on so i didn't know. i just heard a little while ago that he was only 21. my prayers are with his family and friends. :sad1:
It made me sick to see the FB pic of him (the driver) ... just like he was still around.
Luke is just adorable in his swimsuit and shirt. I almost had to do a double take because B. has the same hat, similar shirt, and similar trunks.

I knew that you would be able to say it in a way that expresses how I feel. Thanks MeMom.
We were at WDW when two "bad" things happened before.... there was a hostage situation when we were on our honeymoon at the Boardwalk and a person died on Mission space during a trip. Both were terrible, but isolated incidents. This is something I think everyone that visits WDW shudders to think about, because you have to see the monorail and or ride it.
Oh, how much fun you must've had! I swear, I'm going to learn a lesson from you and really, truly take a day to enjoy the resort. I'm so glad you got to upgrade like this - what a lot of wonderful memories for you!

Do you have a day---- we went back and forth, were divided, almost changed, DH tried to change at the last moment.... but honestly we fit in the 1 bedroom as a family of five only at the two resorts. It is less points at AKV, so that was my deciding factor. I do not want to not fit at our home resort, nor do I want to be point poor and have short trips.

I couldn't believe when Marc started figuring what our last trip would have cost at rack rate...$6,000 (BCV 1br 10 nights and SSR studio 3 nights). Our December trip would have cost $9,500 (Kidani 2br 5 nights). We would have never spent that kind of money for a resort stay but with DVC it's possible.
I guess it's all about the Deluxe resorts and we are hooked now. If I had to move to a moderate over a weekend I would consider to lengthen our stay too.

That is the numbers I want to see. I doubt we would be able to stand a single hotel room for much longer. I do think we will probably do some regular hotel nights on the front end of trips though. I do love some of the hotels...

That monorail accident was HORRIBLE. The next morningwe walked into Epcot and I thought it was strange that we didn't see one and then at lunch I found out about, it was very creepy! Thursday, June 18th
Let the vacation begin! Our package was to start today, so we were beginning our seven days of the Dining plan and park hoppers!
I had called the day before to check with the bellmen about moving our luggage. I told them I hoped to be on the monorail at 8, so when should I call... they said to give forty minutes. That was worse case to get to our room, load and mark the bags. He assured me it normally is not that long, but he wanted me to allow enough time. Doug and my dad headed via car to CSR at 7:15. They were checking in and getting our keys to the world cards and my parents with their tickets on them.
I called about 7:20 the kids were finishing their breakfast cereal and were bouncing with excitement to hit a park. The super bellman came, loaded our 14 items (we had them moving more of our stuff that my parents had brought along with some of their things that we did not want in the car). He was super nice, triple counted and we tipped him royally...and our luggage was supposed to be at CSR between 1 and 4.... so no problem- right?
So off we were to the main building, filled our mugs and we took the monorail to the TTC and then onto EPCOT. Super fun, super fast way ... infact as Doug texted me....they were there already too. So we met them at the front of a turnstile... we were there almost an hour early. So we walked around, sunscreened up...
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0235.jpg
and waited. It went fast, but we were there too early...I had no idea we would get there so fast and hit the monorails so perfectly!
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0236.jpg
DH went to get the stroller as we got through the turnstile. Emily went with him, and guess who we saw, with no one waiting or with her.. Daisy, Emily's favorite. So Hannah saw her quick... I felt terrible, since we tried hard last trip to find Daisy to no avail, and we see her first thing before the park opens at the left side of Spaceship Earth!
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0238.jpg
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0237.jpg
We met back up with DH and headed to the front and saw some more friends as they got the opening of EPCOT ceremony underway!
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0240.jpg
As the rope dropped we headed to Character Connection, what else! DH went to get our FPs for Soarin' my parents were super excited to be back on that ride!
Somehow a family got in front of us... we were the first ones in, but the mom pushed ahead, oh well.... so no group character photo this year.
But we did get some good ones...

There are some great pics of Luke on the photopass card with Minnie... I will share them when I get the disk.
We then met DH right outside and headed to the Living Seas with Nemo and Friends. This was a big hit.... Emily loved this ride this year, Luke loved it too. My problem is the long cue... which we cut around the corner to miss it the second time we rode.
Then we wandered around the Seas..
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0256.jpg
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0257.jpg
and we headed in to the first Turtle Talk with Crush!
Except Crush had technical difficulties... boo! So as we exited the Seas the family minus Luke and I headed to Journey to Imagination. I took Luke for a diaper change and to get FPs for Test Track. We were then planning to meet back at Soarin!
So Luke and I cut back toward the bathrooms behind Character Connection to see....
Max!
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0260.jpg
He was just in the hallway! We changed diapers, walked through Mousegears for some browsing, and got our FPs. Then I took Luke to the Seasons Foodcourt for a bottle. He was a ready... and once DH and the family got down there we were off to Soarin- my parents, Hannah and I! The rest of the gang went on the Land Boatride!
Soarin was well fantastic! My parents both love that ride too, so we grabbed some more FPs for later. Hannah liked it this time so that was great too!
After that we cut through the Character Connection....and Max was still out. So it was the girls turn!
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0262.jpg
We then went to taste some of the Cokes from around the World. We were awfully hot and some of them hit the spot! I spared all my family from the Beverly!
We decided to go on to World Showcase, it was just a tad past 11.... so off to Mexico!
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0263.jpg
And Emily got to see her beloved Donald's boatride! We rode it twice, and Luke was getting tired as was Emily.... so my mom was going to sit with them in the strollers in hopes of a quick nap, while the rest of us rode on the Norway boatride....my dad stayed for the movie but DH, Hannah and I slid out! DH went to check on Grandma and the kids...
Hannah and I then visited China,

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0269.jpg
and then Em had to meet Mulan too.

It was a beautiful day. WS was pretty empty since it had just opened. We had lots of time to spare until our 3:15 reservation in Italy.... so we were going to leisurely explore the countries and see who we might meet. Then mom saw who was out.....

That was one of the biggest reasons we chose AKV too. The dues are higher, but less points - it probably balances about out....and you are less point poor! Love that term. ;) I like the various choices with AKV, all the way from Value to Conceriage to cater to how many points you want to spend/have left!

We happened to just see Mulan as she was walking back to her spot. I guess she had just came out, so Hannah got to walk with her. Mulan asked her all kinds of things about our trip, what she likes and it was funny because Hannah told us about it... normally her answers are nothing.

DH went to get the stroller as we got through the turnstile. Emily went with him, and guess who we saw, with no one waiting or with her.. Daisy, Emily's favorite. So Hannah saw her quick... Love your latest update. What a great morning/afternoon at Epcot. I'm curious to see what happens with your luggage. You've got me nervous!
Congrats on the DVC ownership! I love DVC! My first three trips have been great. I figured my first trip rack rate would have been around $4500. That was 3 nights 1BR VEro and 5 nights 2BR SSR. My second trip about $750 (3 nights SSR studio) and my third trip was 2BR Kidani. Wigd.....Did you say $9000????? I have to check that? They say you generally get your payment price back in 4 - 5 years. I think I am on track for about 4 years. I'm going check that Kidani rack rate now.

Just ahead, along the pathway we could see Snow White! She is still number #1 for my girls and it was great to see her on our first park day!
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0272.jpg
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0275.jpg
Unfortunately Snow White was not an overly sweet princess, not nearly as nice as Mulan, which was kinda sad because the girls love her so. Oh well. Emily even wondered since Snow White gave her a kiss last time... but we have a great Snow White moment coming later this trip!
As we found the princess this day Emily made it a point to find them on her dress and show them. Belle, Aurora, and Snow White were all represented, as was Cinderella, but we did not see her this day.
We explored Germany... grabbed a pretzel for a snack to share as we proceeded on to Italy. Once there I made sure to check the menu ... we had reservations there later and I had never studied the menu:scared1:... it looked good so we were set. As we headed on we got some lemonade slushies to drink (a favorite for the week) and explored the American Pavillion. We were going to see the American Adventure and enjoy the Voices of Liberty first....
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0276.jpg
I think this was probably my favorite thing we did the whole day. There singing just amazes me. It had been a few trips since I had heard them... and I am so glad we did. The kids all loved it!
Then stinker child moment came in... Hannah threw a fit about going to the American Adventure... boo! So I took her out, while the rest enjoyed the show. Once she realized that she gave up an AC theatre and everyone else went she realized she had made a bad choice.... but it was too late.
So we went over to Japan, explored and decorated the mask....and leisurely walked back the the American Adventure. We found my mom who had left with Luke... he was not a fan nor ready to go to sleep. Then my dad, DH and a sleeping Emily came out...but the nap was short lived. We explored more of World Showcase, Morocco and France before heading back to see if we could eat a tad bit early. It was getting hot and we needed to get inside, Luke had fallen asleep again, but we were hopeful we could at least get the stroller in their large lobby as we waited to eat. We all washed up a bit, and were seated about twenty minutes early- yea!
Tutto Italia gets mixed reviews, but for us it was two thumbs up! Our waitress was a doll, so pretty, she kept our drinks filled and brought us tons of bread, which my girls ate! Our table was in a corner, with a spot for a sleeping baby--- yes he slept the entire time! What a nice meal we had...
Everyone was happy with our food, desserts were good too. The best thing was we had just ordered our food when I noticed it was getting dark outside. I sent DH out to make sure that we had everything from the WDW stroller... and he got no more than back when the downpour began. Needless to say we took our time and were so thankful to have been inside and missed the rain!
Upon leaving we donned the ponchos... and headed to France to see

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0281.jpg
There are some great pics on the CD... I will upload once I get them. Belle and Aurora were simply wonderful. Belle had them pose sideways so cute and Aurora had them twirl... great interaction on our photopass pics!
My parents just loved to see the girls faces when they were with the princesses, especially Emily. It was too sweet!
We then hoped Jasmine and Aladdin would be back out...
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0283.jpg
Then onward we traveled around WS..... still in the rain...

The rain was getting in our way of really exploring... and so we headed back to Spaceship Earth, rode that and then knew we had done enough.... the kids were had. My parents stayed, with our Soarin FPs and Test Track FPs.... and we would see them back at CSR.
We dropped the stroller off, walked with two tired girls (Emily got saved by DH who carried her) and headed to the bus stop... and the bus pulled up. I struggled to shove things in the bag, we had the big stroller and three kids to handle. This was hard..... we had the huge stroller and not the extra hands for our first bus ride!!!!!
So I handed a big ziplock bag to Hannah to hold as we got on, while I carried the two bags and Luke. DH held the stroller. Fortunately he new we were to get off at Bus Stop 4, which was right beside 8A, our building. The remodeled rooms are beautiful, loved the doors to the bathroom, we stuck the pack and play in the corner there and could close Luke off so he could sleep.. and adjoining rooms saved us.... we had at least one child sleep in the room with my parents each night!
Two room pics...

We got off and headed to our room... no luggage-- so DH called. I took the girls to explore The Dig Site, and soon the boys met us, he said the bags were to be in our room in ten minutes. We kept on walking towards the main building El Centro.... and the rain hit! I was checking out the mug situation, and was told that I could use my mugs from the Contemporary with no problem... that CSR has their own mugs, but honors all mugs now...
Mind you DH had left the room with Luke in a stroller. Nothing else- no food, diaper, pacifer, bottle---- not something a mom does! We were stuck at El Centro with a tired and hungry baby. He had ate a little, but not dinner yet- so yikes! The girls were hungry too, so DH got them some Gelato in the Cafe Rix. (Side note #2--- DH brought the wrong room key when he left our room, he had our old Contemporary key so he could not pay for the Gelato, thank God I brought a key when I left with the girls).
I though left with a very unhappy and tired baby when the rain slowed... and headed back to our room for some dry clothes and PJs for Luke.
But there was still no luggage! It had been over a half an hour for sure, we were stuck in El Centro that long. As I called bell services our door was being knocked on and the bags arrived.... thank God!
He put them down fast and furiously... and left, I started to try to get Luke settled, when the bellman returned with another bag. (I know bad me for not counting... I did then)but I was consumed with Luke. I started unpacking and found our floor was rather wet and some bags were wet (my Vera Bradley Duffles)... but I assumed they got wet on the way over to our room.
As my parents returned to CSR we started unloading the rest of their car too and unpacking and getting kids settled and it was after ten when my mom asked me to come to their room and take a look---- she had a luggage piece with her shirts in it that were soaked! 8 soaking yes soaking shirts that you could ring out! These were in a bag that she had taken out of the car and had in our room at the Contemporary and somewhere (CSR) had let that bag get soaked! She did have one shirt that was dry, but pretty much her entire shirts for the trip were wet. So we began to hang them up, and I proceeded to call the front desk. It was getting late but they had to know about this, and since the bags were brought over in my name I had to call....
The manager was busy ( I asked to speak to one... and they said she would call me back). I asked for a return call in less than twenty minutes, because it was getting late and I wanted to go to bed. It was over twenty minutes and the manager did call back thankfully. I explained our situation and what had happened to the bag and that it was full of wet clothing. She offered to have someone come and get the clothing to dry, but it would take a while to have someone there --- it was late by this point. I said no, because honestly we were tired and wanted to go to bed. They did credit our room for the inconvience along the way, and we did talk to bell services the next day, but it damper my feelings about CSR. Our move over entailed more than they had said it would initially (ticket issues, luggage issues) and we were really tired when we unpacked that night, versus unpacking on a non park day.
As all this was unfolding, and I was getting stuff together for the next day (the girls, DH, and my parents had gone exploring so Luke could crash in the quiet) around 9ish I realized that I could not find a few things.... a formula dispenser, our two mugs from the Contemporary, my little TGM touring book, Luke's clip on fan, sunscreen) and realized that these items had been in the ZIPLOCK BAG---- the one I had entrusted to Hannah! I know not my brightest moment, but it just did not all fit!
So as I layed down to sleep that night... we were barely unpacked, had wet clothing and had already lost a bag.... and was wondering why I had taken my three kids to Disney and had six more days of parks ahead!
Up Next....What would Animal Kingdom bring?????

Ohhhhh noooo! I can just feel your stomach drop when you realized that you were missing the bag that you had given to Hannah....
Is it even possible to find something like that?
I'm sorry Snow White wasn't sweet, I was remembering that kiss from last year, but it does look like you met up with some great princesses after dinner. Em looks like she really is warming up to them!:goodvibes

I'm so sorry to hear about all that with your luggage!!!!!!! :sad2: And then the missing Ziploc Bag. Ugh. Not a good way to end a night...wet, tired and frustrated.
I am happy to hear CSR comped you for the room though, at least they tried to make up for it instead of just making excuses about the rain. I hope you got the bag back....

OH my that was not the best start to CSR I agree!! :sad2:
Given that they were trying to make the best of the situation with you and the move for CSR to Contemorary in the first place, you'd think they would have been a bit more hospitable.... they clearly let your luggage sit in the rain. That is unacceptable! I do hope they gave you some compensation.
I also truly hope your bag with the mugs and such shows up!!! :scared:
But as with every vacation everywhere, sometimes there are ups and downs -- hopefully this is the only "down" moment ?!?:flower3:

You had such great luck seeing characters: Snow White, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins, Alice, and the Pooh Gang! Can't wait to see the Photopass pictures! :thumbsup2
I am so glad you loved Tutto Italia! We used the restrooms in there one day and I just fell in love with the decor -- now I want to eat there!
How horrible about CSR and your bags! You would think bell services would have enough sense to not leave your stuff out in the rain! :headache: What a rotten way to start your stay there! :( I do hope the clothes dried out and you were unable to get unpacked and organized!

What a great EPCOT day with a ton of great character interaction, but a not so great ending!!!
Really her entire suitcase was soaked?? I'm so glad you were able to get them to credit your room back some of that!!
And oh no to the lost bag, that is never a good feeling! I'm constantly making sure I haven't left something behind and checking things at Disney so I know that would have driven me crazy!

You had a wonderful day at Epcot! You met so many characters! I am a little jealous. Emily looks so cute with the princesses, she just looks so happy. princess:
What a bummer about the wet luggage! That is just awful. I was wondering what they do in those situations on my trip since there were so many downpours. I did see the staff at ASMu walking with those big luggage carts covered in plastic.

That's got to be the very best Mickey mail there is.:cloud9:
It was good Mickey Mail... but it still is not free!
Don't feel bad, Laura! Sharing your excitement is the next best thing to actually owning! :goodvibes
Love little Em planning away with the DVC guide!
It just cracked me up seeing her sitting there looking away....
Great picture of Emily with her cute smile. Did she ever see Daisy on this trip?
Finally...we waited in our longest line for her probably, the things moms do!
The people we rented points from for our upcoming trip just bought last year. They didn't want to pass it up, but didn't want to go back this year.
BUT...you did say last year that you weren't going this year....
But I do want to go on vacation....
I did send something your way today, but sorry it's not DVC....or even fake DVC....
LL... be on the lookout!
Laura, those sun dresses are just darling! :cutie: :cutie:
How did Luke do with the characters? He looked a bit unsure about Pluto! You're getting to see some great ones... we've never even met Max! Can't wait to see "who's out" next!!
What a fantastic start! Soarin' and a near-empty World Showcase... I think I'm going to try to do the same thing and get to WS just as it opens. F&W will still be going on... :crowded:

He had some great moments in pics. I wish he would have been able to walk/stand... next time!
We do well if we hit WS at 11... we are in front of "them"

It was just the icing to realize I had trusted a five year old... stupid me. Plus we had not planned to drag that stroller that consumes one person, but that morning it was an easy monorail ride:confused3
There is a lost and found, by the TTC... that is where the stuff goes, you call and they take a look....
All the pictures of the girls with the Princesses are so sweet! They are just beaming. :goodvibes

They comped half the room cost, which I feel was totally fine. I did not call for the money I called because that is terrible service. When the bellman came he said they only had two guys that night, so they were super busy, and I did feel bad for him. However missing delivering one bag and then having a soaked bag erased my sympathy.
The bag had clearly sat in water, it was a thicker luggage bag, and the bag itself was not soaked, it had dried almost out... The Veras were pretty wet, (2 duffles) but luckily they had stuff that did not stay wet in them. The floor in our room took a night to dry out from where he put a wet bag though...
OH my that was not the best start to CSR I agree!! :sad2:

I know now that if they move your stuff they won't put the stuff in the room unless you are there/checked in .... but I personally feel since we moved to help them that step should have been skipped.
This was a down moment... one where the reservations about taking an infant came out... and any that you might have....
The girls are so sweet with all the princesses!
Their little dresses are too cute!
I love the characters in WS, I think they cannot be beat! I just wish they would have been outside for pics. Luckily the rain did cool it down a lot, which was nice.

I'm glad you had a peaceful dinner. It is always nice when the little man gives the family some peace at dinner time.
I was laughing when you were describing how your DH just threw Luke in the stroller and headed out. Such a Dad things to do.
That really stinks about your bags getting wet! I'm glad they gave you a credit to the room, but what were they going to do with the shirts to dry them out? Throw them in a dryer to shrink them as well?:confused3
:hug:I had those same thoughts after a horrible series of events in November. I think they happen to everyone who is traveling with more than one child at some point. I could feel your stress trying to load up on the bus because we felt the same way in November and we had one child less than you. Those big strollers are so hard to unload/carry/hang onto on the buses. I'm sorry you lost your ziploc bag too. I hope tomorrow is a better day.

Wet luggage - such a bummer! I know how you felt that night (well almost), cause I changed resorts in the middle of a trip and no matter how hard you try to be organized, you just do it as well as you want to. Then to have wet luggage on top of that! Uggghhh! I bet when you went to bed that night you almost wished you have never started at the Contemporary. I think the more people you are responsible for, the worse the disorganization feels. At least they comp'd part of your room. Still - rather pay for the room and have dry luggage!

I figured you would find the baby and dad with nothing humorous.... it was the those things that did me in this trip. Although DH redeemed himself our AK day.
Emily had so much fun, A is going to be great this trip. She was so into all the characters. Honestly there are over 100 darling pics of her, whereas Hannah is not good in pics normally. There were moments though that Em was difficult... but you know what I think about about three year olds versus two year olds....she had been easier the past two trips, but really "got" the magic this time!
The shirts were dry by the next afternoon, but they were hanging all over my mom's room. A dryer would have been nice but we were too tired to stay up with them.
I remind myself every trip will get easier with kids... and that I knew going with three kids 5 and under would be insane. We did have a great time, but it was hard, harder than going pregnant for sure.... partially due to our touring and stuff, and I had to let things go at a point... once I reached the ugly moment!

No, I wish we had stayed at the Contemporary. We had a hard time fitting our stuff in the CSR room, there was a lot less dresser space--- we outsourced Hannah's clothing to my parents room.

You had a bad meal didn't you at Tutto---- it is coming back to me now- right? We enjoyed it and it fit in our schedule better than a dinner at EPCOT on Friday...
My parents loved watching the girls with the characters. At times my dad would joke about how much character time they spent.... but it won't be like that forever. I try hard to get them to see characters where the waits are managable...

I am going to upload AK now, so I can at least get a start on that day. Tonight we are going out to an adult dinner and right now the girls are with DH at the pool before the rain starts. Luke and I are going to run to get some Scrapbooking supplies... I have gotten the stuff all out again in hopes of getting caught up the next few weeks. (Luckily I am less than a year behind... Vacation 2010
I know I said we would not be going back in the pretrip report, pre DVC... but now we have points for 2009 that we need to use next summer.
With that said, we do not plan to go to the parks during our vacation... I know some of you probably think we are crazy... even DH said at dinner we could, but for a one day ticket... no and I am not sure I want to buy a longer length ticket with non-expire... but it could change. To be honest I think Luke would be hard to take next summer, and still being outnumbered yikes!
What we are thinking is to use our points at Vero Beach at the 7 month window for next summer. Probably June, probably for about a week. Since Luke does not count, we can stay in a studio... there are different types so we are doing some research. If anyone can share please do!
We also plan to stay at WDW for a few nights...probably a studio. My first choice is BCV, I think our girls would love the pool and we would really have time to enjoy. BWV is tempting, as is SSR since we would be close to DTD. We would hopefully do some of our favorite meals, enjoy the resorts, pool hop perhaps, and explore Orlando a bit
Any thoughts are welcome..
That would then leave us for 2011 having 2010 points, and 2011 points and 2012 available to borrow if needed. We thought we would be doing a trip with my parents that year in a two bedroom at AKV in the summer. My parents though are not sure if they want to go in 2011, they might want to go in 2012.... which then maybe means a trip the five of us in 2011, (Luke again would not be three... free admission, dining and does not count for occupancy) and then 2012 a trip with grandma and grandpa... so many things to think about! If we know for sure we are going two summers in a row----APs for me (then maybe I can get a third trip too)

How wonderful! I think that would really be the best part of DVC - knowing that you WOULD be going back multiple times. Of course, the accomodations are a perk, too. :thumbsup2 We're actually looking at OKW for our large family vacation next summer now, even though we're not DVC (with more people to split the rooms with, it's not as expensive). I'd like to try Vero Beach at some point. And I'd LOVE to let my kids explore Stormalong Bay at BCV someday. Have fun with all of the planning!

I would love to see you get BCV for the start of your trip, Cape May breakfast would be lots of fun to do! As you know I do have ulterior motives.... IF you were at BC a one day ticket to Epcot would be very nice, as you know, it's a great place to hook up with princesses! Then there is storm along bay, Em and Luke would love that sand and Hannah would have a great time in the lazy river and whirlpool! The slide is so much fun too!
OK, so much for my unbiased opinion..:rolleyes1

Your future plans sound great! Very nice options. I have seen lots of photos for Vero Beach, does look really pretty! :goodvibes RELAXING.....
We got APs this year, b/c we had already committed to two trips, and then when DH moved dates, he agreed to three... with the DVC it seems a good plan to get the APs, you get a discount I think? And with a family, after the 2nd trip they have paid for themselves.. so you gotta do three to really take advantage of the "free"
Good luck with whatever your plans are!!! I am sure they will be great! Looking forward to your next TR installment :surfweb:
Hope your adult evening was fun!!

Your plans sound so nice!!! I was day dreaming of a Vero Beach trip yesterday. I haven't a clue what they offer, but just the simplicity of a "beach trip" is very appealing.
We bought APs in January this year because we knew we'd be back in December.
And lookee here...we are going in January too! APs, and a "free child" are wonderful trip enablers. ;)
I wasn't sure if a child under 3 counts toward occupancy. It is very good to read they don't. I have some possible plans stewing and the fact that Henry is under 3 and doesn't count helps a ton! :thumbsup2

Enjoying the trip report so far. The pics of the girls in their princess dresses are adorable. And Luke is a handsome little guy.

You got to see so many wonderful characters in Epcot! We were character challenged this trip and didn't see many at all.:confused3
Great pictures of everyone-a very beautiful family you have!
Vero Beach does look amazing. I think any way that you use your points, if your family is having a great time, it is worth it.:thumbsup2

I think the all the options are super fun to consider. I think OKW would be great, their rooms are bigger, and the studios have two queen beds.... that might be a place we stay soon too.
BC is first choice for next year... I would love to go to Cape May for Breakfast, we have never done that before... and it would be fun if we could get there before you leave!

I figure maybe we could spring for a non DVC resort trip using an AP discount.. or tack some nights on that way. We would get a DVC discount on the passes, which would be super nice too!

Animal Kingdom Day, Friday June 19th!
I was super excited to be going back to Animal Kingdom. I had high hope for all the things we had not done before, and hopefully we would have a great day! Since the unpacking soggy luggage took forever, we moved our departure time back to about 8:15. Everyone got up, dressed and ready to go, ahead a few minutes of our target departure time. We loved the quick walk down our building to the bus stop- it was a great location for us!
We watched a few buses for HS and EPCOT come by, but I was not worried, I knew we were super close to AK. We arrived about quarter till, and made our way through bag check (I was their worst nightmare--- two backpacks, a small collapsable cooler, yikes) and through tickets. I decided that we would try to have our tickets put on our keys to the World card later that day... the paper tickets acted up in the FP machines!
We could barely see the opening show, in fact probably only the adults could see Mickey so far up and away. I played it cool though, I did not want the girls to be mad they "missed" something. DH started to skirt up through the people to get in the stampede for Expedition Everest.... we were headed to Dinoland!
Our first ride of the day was Triceratop Spin....

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0302.jpg
and my partner... he was not sure what this was going to be like!
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0301.jpg
just as we got off... DH met us, so he went on with the girls and my mom for a second ride....
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0309.jpg
watching his sisters.... he loved all the colors and stuff back there!
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0311.jpg
we exited and headed past the Boneyard, it was not open but the girls sure wanted to stop there... it looked so fun.
We then split up, I took Luke and we wandered around till we could get FPs for the Safari. Our plan was to meet up at Lion King, the first show was at 10:00, my fast pass window opened up at 9:55... would I make it! They were headed to see It's Tough to be A Bug, a first for the girls.
Luke and I made a purchase, of a Disney hat. There selection of sunhats for boys is terrible. The hat is a bit big (will be perfect for next summer) but he was really not liking the hats that I had brought for home that have a strap under the chin. We roamed and took a leisurely walk toward Africa. I am kicking myself that I did not take pictures, I tried to just look at the details I miss normally when we are in a hurry!
I got to the machines plenty early, and would just stick a ticket in to check the times... 5 minutes, 4 minutes, 3 minutes, 2 minutes... I am sure I looked so stupid and I was getting sick of those not time yet passes coming out. Then it was finally my time... and I got my six FPs and boy we booked it back to Camp Minnie Mickey!
As we went past the CMs at the entrance they said I would make it... I was glad to know my jog was not in vain in the heat! I parked the stroller and got our junk and off to the Elephant section I went. I am sorry again.. no pics, Luke was in need of a bottle and some snacks, so I watched and fed him! The Lion King was a big hit with all, It's Tough to Be a Bug... not so much. The girls made it through, but didn't like it, Em especially. Someday!
My girls had seen Pocahontas just outside, back where her show was, but did not get a picture yet since I had the camera. So we went back to her theatre...
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0314.jpg
Chip and Dale, hoola hoops and music were there for fun....

Another new character for us to meet!
This was my chance... Finding Nemo was at 11:15. It was 10:30 now, so I decided we were going to try to make it. I had chatted with an AK CM in line yesterday when we were meeting Jasmine, and she had said that if you wanted to see Nemo the earlier the show you go to, the better luck of not waiting forever. DH took off to go get FPs for Kali, and the rest of us headed to Nemo. We weaved through the que outside... parking our stroller about a mile away I think. DH met us right at the entry and we made it! We were in, with some seats to spare! I was so excited to see this show, but Luke was ready to nap. The CM was so sweet, she let me just rock him up top in the aisle while we waited for the show to begin... and he slept through almost all of it! What a good boy...and what an awesome SHOW! The girls, DH and I loved it. My parents were not as impressed, they liked Lion King better. I am so glad we got to see the show, but again, no pics, I had a sleeping baby on my lap.
I think that the show was not a hit with my dad though because of the RUDE moms and kids behind me. They kept bumping in to us, leaning on us, and the moms were talking loudly the whole time, threatening to leave if the kids did not behave multiple times, but no follow through. It was a bit much for me, I just wanted to keep Luke asleep and would have taken my kids out if they misbehaved, no questions about it. Poor parenting IMO! But I was bound and determined to enjoy the show! The kids were around my girls ages, if not older, so I know they could have behaved better!
After Nemo we knew it was lunch time. We ate at the first CS we passed, Restaurantosaurus. Not my first choice, but it was lunch time and we were hungry. I ended up with nuggets, (Emily wanted a hot dog), Hannah had nuggets, my mom had the Mandarin Chicken Salad, and the guys had Hamburgers. All in all a good lunch, we all washed up, went to the bathroom and got filled up, including Luke!
We were ready to head to our two week Safari... but snapped a few pics first!
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0320.jpg
Again there are some photopass ones... this week I promise. I think that my favorite of the girls was taken here. Our photographer was great, Luke just hammed it up for her... yes we were hot but she made everyone smile!
http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0323.jpg
I must admit I was a tad bit worried to go on the safari so late in the day.... but we saw lots of animals....

http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z305/iluvxu/IMG_0331.jpg
but again nothing as great as CP's giraffe! That would have been awesome!
After leaving our two week safari, we met Flick!

He has the best backdrop of any character...
and we were off to ride Expedition Everest. Hannah's cousins and neighbor friends all raved about how fun this roller coaster was, and we got her on it somehow. She rode with DH, and I rode with my dad....it was a hit! She loved it! We had left grandma with Luke and Em, both who were looking tired in the gift shop. Asia needs some AC CS places to rest! Luke was getting had... but Hannah wanted another ride on Everest and I still wanted to catch the parade! Some decisions had to be made...

Wow, you guys really busted some tail at AK! I am impressed to see all you got done. We've done Nemo and FOTLK one time each, but on different trips. It's so hard to get them both in with the current times they are offered -- which is a total bummer for the crew who can't/don't enjoy the thrill rides there! Sorry to hear that the girls were not fans of ITTBAB - hopefully next time will be a charm.

I'd be okay without going to the parks on a trip, too. I went once when I only went to one park for one day, but I have never been without going to any park at all. However, I can think of lots of things we could do without ever going to on of the four parks: mini-golf, Chip and Dale's campfire and movie, resort hopping, Wishes from the Poly Beach, any resort character dining, AKL to see the animals, Ft. Wilderness to ride the horses, DTD, waterparks, DisneyQuest...
Some of those cost money and some don't, but I doubt it all adds up to the price of a park ticket. I also wouldn't be opposed to staying on Disney property and going over to the beach, SeaWorld, doing things on I-Drive, etc.
Flower and Garden Festival is beautiful and Magic Kingdom dressed in orange and pumpkins is cool, so I hope you'll get to do those someday on a spring or fall break.
Right now, I think a couple of days at Beach Club with nothing to do but enjoy the resort, smell the lobby, enjoy SAB, share a No Way Jose, have a clam bake at Cape May Cafe and sit on the beach with a campfire, smores and a movie under the stars sounds wonderful.:cloud9: Can you tell I miss the Beach Club?

I LOVE Em's sunglasses - do you happen to remember where you got them?
It sounds like you had a great time that day. I'd like to catch Flik - he really does have a great backdrop! We just don't spend the time we should in AK - mainly because of the heat. But we WILL see Lion King in 2010. We saw Nemo last fall and loved it - my sister-and-brother-in-law got the soundtrack for me for my birthday. I can't blame the girls on It's Tough to Be a Bug. I haven't seen it since I went (pre-kids) with DH, my parents and my brother in 2000. I just remember my brother (he was 22 at the time) jumping up and shouting a few choice words at the end because he was in one of the seats where you "feel" bugs moving out at the end. It really was funny (for us). But my kiddos are nowhere near that yet!!!!

Great picture with "the boys!"
The rain was getting in our way of really exploring... and so we headed back to Spaceship Earth, rode that and then knew we had done enough.... the kids were had.
The did do so much that day! Boo for the rain!
I struggled to shove things in the bag, we had the big stroller and three kids to handle. This was hard..... we had the huge stroller and not the extra hands for our first bus ride!!!!!
I can just picture it! :sad2:
I though left with a very unhappy and tired baby when the rain slowed... and headed back to our room for some dry clothes and PJs for Luke.
Aww, a tired baby can't possibly be a good end to an evening!
But there was still no luggage! It had been over a half an hour for sure, we were stuck in El Centro that long. As I called bell services our door was being knocked on and the bags arrived.... thank God!
Uggh! It would've been so nice if the bags were there for you...
These were in a bag that she had taken out of the car and had in our room at the Contemporary and somewhere (CSR) had let that bag get soaked! She did have one shirt that was dry, but pretty much her entire shirts for the trip were wet.
Oh, Yuck!!
I realized that I could not find a few things.... a formula dispenser, our two mugs from the Contemporary, my little TGM touring book, Luke's clip on fan, sunscreen) and realized that these items had been in the ZIPLOCK BAG---- the one I had entrusted to Hannah! I know not my brightest moment, but it just did not all fit!
Did she leave it behind on the bus?
So as I layed down to sleep that night... we were barely unpacked, had wet clothing and had already lost a bag.... and was wondering why I had taken my three kids to Disney and had six more days of parks ahead!
You must've been exhausted! What a roller coaster of a day!
On to the next update... sorry... I keep getting behind for some reason!

The beach is #1 priority next summer. Emily and Luke need a beach vacation, we went to HH when Emily was three months old... so even Hannah has little beach experience behind her. I love all the pics of an empty beach, I am not a fan of crowded beaches.

I thought of Brooklynn at Pocahontas. It was fun back there, we could have stayed longer but we wanted to go and see Nemo. I was hoping we would catch Chip and Dale later in the trip....
The salad was good, the hamburger did not get rave reviews from my dad... just okay. The nuggets there were not the normal kiddie meal ones they were actually pretty good.
I must admit I never had a hamburger the entire week, which shocked me!

sorry you had rudeness behind you at nemo. that just kills me. i vow to not be one of those parents who threaten to discipline my kids loud enough for everyone to hear me but then never really follow through with it. i hate it when people ruin others' enjoyment of the show because their kids are misbehaving and they're too lazy to do anything about it!
yay for hannah for riding EE!!!! i'm glad she liked it. :thumbsup2
I had forgotten the naughty kids and parents until I went to write the update.... so it did start to pale in time. I did enjoy Nemo, I just want to be by people who behave next time!
Great pictures with Pocahontas and Flick. I agree Flick had a great background.
I love the Mickey sunglasses.
If Vero Beach does not work out, I hear Hilton Head is great for a beach trip also.
HH is hard to get in the summer with DVC from what I have heard. But I would love to stay there someday, we visited it to check out the resort before!
Wow, you got to both shows!! Awesome planning.:thumbsup2 Ian was also not a fan of ITTBAB.:sad2: How neat that you got a picture with Flik! I'm not sure I've ever seen one with him.
DH wanted to get one just because of the background. It does look cool!
Another great day for everyone! Luke looked so happy watching his sisters on Triceratops Spin.
Sorry your Nemo show was made less than magical by the naughties behind you. I figure it this way, the apples don't fall far from the tree and that's why the parents were the way they were!
I hope you made it to the parade, it's a good one!
MeMom has made me want to see it... and after an hour or so I knew that we would not get out of there in time to come back for it.... we were so close!
The sunglasses are old, they were Hannah's but fit Em perfectly!
The heat was a kicker there, luckily it was not one of the hottest days yet, actually we all did good there heat wise. Those shows helped a ton!
Em's glasses are just the best!!! :lmao:
Oh, there seems to be a recurring theme lately on summer TRs and It's Tough to be a Bug! Poor girls!
I am so glad Hannah loved Everest!!! Good for her being brave enough to try it out!
Everest is the one thing she talked about wanting to get back to do again the entire trip.... so I think it was a hit!
You must've been exhausted! What a roller coaster of a day!
On to the next update... sorry... I keep getting behind for some reason!
Kathy
It was a crazy day at EPCOT. It was a long day...
You're right... what a backdrop for a picture!!
Hooray for Hannah! I'm so surprised she liked it...what a big girl!! :goodvibes
Today seems like a much easier day for you all. Except for the rude people at Finding Nemo, things are going great!
So glad!
Looking forward to the results of your "decisions!" :thumbsup2
Kathy
Soon!
Well I am to 2009 in my scrapbooking... which is good progress for three days work. I hope to get my photopass CD and order my Disney prints and get caught up by August! I also plan to finish AK later today...

Em's sunglasses are so stinkin' cute!!!!! Where did you find those? Do you recall if they sold them in 'boy colors'?
You are really rockin' AK - so many rides and shows so quickly! I hope we can make it to FOTLK this time around, I hear its an awesome show. Henry did NOT like Nemo, but we were in the front row, so I think it was all just too much for him. We'll try again, especially now since he knows who Nemo is! :goodvibes Sorry you had to deal with the rude Mom's and kids. I agree---bad parenting!
Glad to read EE was a hit! :thumbsup2

I am so impressed with all the scrapping you got accomplished! I need to pull out our Disney album from last August and get that done before the baby arrives. I know I'll never get caught up if I don't!

You are rockin' on your scrapbooking! I cannot get motivated. I have pictures printed out but no desire to go upstairs to get it done.

Love your AK update!! You had some great character meets and you are right Flik does have the best backdrop of any character!! It really does seem like you guys were having a great day!! Can't wait to hear more on what you guys decide to do!!
I haven't seen FOTLK but I'm in love with Nemo it was a fantastic show!!!!
Wow there are people who are caught up with their scrapbooking or close to it....I need to be inspired by this people LOL I'm so far behind its not even funny LOL
I love your latest update. You guys really made the most of your AK morning. Wow - good fast pass attack and way to go - seeing both shows before noon.
If you decide to go to Vero beach, I think you will really like it. I stayed there for three nights last summer. If you want to see pics click on my June 2008 TR. I posted tons of pics. We stayed in a 1BR which had a fabulous view of the ocean. We were so lucky to get that room. My understanding is that the OVIR (ocean view inn rooms) are the nicest. They have the same amenities as a studio, but a different configuration. The best part is - the ocean view! Let me tell you - the ocean view is really something you want here. It is fabulous in the morning and fabulous at night! Not all of the studios have ocean views.
Your kids will love Vero because there is a ton for the kids to do here. It's really a lovely place and I look forward to going back!

So we left off with two tired kids (Luke and Emily), a brave Hannah and four adults. This is where DH won a medal! He said he would take Luke back to the room for a nap/cool off! There was no arguing on my part, so I sent him with a bottle and pacifer and room key- nothing else and off they walked. Even a stroller would have been too hard. So Hannah and my dad rode Everest again... I tried to get a picture but it did not take them long enough, I missed them. We grabbed two FPs incase we wanted a ride later...
Our next stop was Kali River Rapids. We had six FPs but my dad did not want to ride. I was ready to cool off, so my mom and I took the girls. Emily was quiet, it was her first big ride, she was over 38 inches. After she rode it she said we got wet, but wanted to go again. The kind CM gave me an extra FPs so I could take the girls (we were short one) and we rode again. I had wrapped a poncho around my shorts, so that kept me a bit dry...
The girls played in the wet area for a few moments, and then we got 4 frozen lemonade slushies (we had a ton of these) and headed to find a spot to watch the parade! I was super excited as were the girls.
We found a spot across from Pizzasafari and then I took the girls in to their bathroom to put on some dry clothes. Then it was parade time!

What an awesome parade. I am so thrilled we made it. We had two FPs that we had gotten for EE but the return time was not until 5:30, so we gave those away to the newlyweds we were sitting by for the parade. They had not rode it yet...
I really wanted to see this parade, and it did not let me down at all! We were ready to go... I would love to have stayed and explored some more, but I knew that everyone was tired. So while we did not get to do the Trails we did accomplish two biggies... Nemo and the Parade!
So we headed out... there were not many people exiting, which was nice. The bus arrived quickly and we were back to CSR after a brief run through at Blizzard Beach.
DH, the girls and my parents all were pool bound. Luke was sleeping, so I waited with him, thinking I would call the Lost and Found center to check on my bag. Just as I was getting a CM to describe my stuff I looked at our Mac Stroller in the corner... it had been in my parents car, and when we unloaded it we stuffed it there... and I saw it! THE ZIPLOCK BAG with all my stuff (the fan, mugs, sunscreen, TGM info book, formula dispenser-everything). STUPID ME! I was glad to have found the stuff, even though there was nothing that impt!
Once Luke woke up we met everyone at the pool! What a beautiful pool area! It was fun to splash around in, and once again Emily braved the slide... she was a pro!

We swam for an hour or so before deciding to head to the Pepper Market for dinner. The Pepper Market is certainly different. They seat you at a table, then give you papers to take up with your order. We received a drink, our entree and dessert. We did get our desserts after eating, and then you check out and pay at the end. We did not have any issues about the tip there. On this night I did not go up at all... I fed Luke and managed the girls, who colored away until their food arrived. I had the fajitas, they were great, and later had a chocolate cake that Hannah ate. The best dessert seemed to be the ice cream and apple pie that DH and my mom had!
We then roamed around the gift shop, filled our mugs and headed back to get ready for MK! Everyone went to bed pretty good and earlier because tomorrow was MK day!
This was a better day than I expected. In terms of the heat, it was probably the coolest day weather wise that we had, which was fantastic for being at AK- the hot park. Our meals were good, our snacks refreshing, and the kids were good.

My parents LOVE the Pepper Market. The best thing is on the dinning plan it counted as a Counter Service. But the food seems more like a Table Service! :thumbsup2
I really wanna try out that pool! How cool are those stairs!

What a wonderful ending to your AK day. DH gets the prize for taking Luke back to the room. Yay!
I love Hannah's pose at the pool, super cute, she looks like a little Diva.
The set up of Pepper Market seems really weird. :confused3

I just love Hannah's pose in this one!
So glad the ziplock turned up, even though it wasn't important, it surely was a relief to have found it.
Sounds like you had a great day! Can't wait to read all about MK!

WOW!! I'm all caught up! We were gone for a long weekend in Dallas and I've missed so much! I loved your Epcot and AK pics!! You lucked up in the UK getting Mary Poppins, Alice, AND Pooh and friends. When we were there it was only Pooh and friends. That's awful about your wet bags!! But glad you found your lost one! AK looked like a great day! We just loved the Nemo show when we went! And where was that section where you met Pocahontas? We met her at Camp Minnie Mickey--but that was the day it rained 11 inches. We missed a lot of that park. The parade looks really cute, too! They canceled it the day we were there. Great updates! Can't wait for more!!

What a great afternoon! I so want to see this parade, maybe Rob will take B. back to the hotel. A girl can dream. :)
Love Hannah's pose in the pool picture. :) Em is a champ w/the slides too. She needs to have a little talk with A. about pools and slides. :)
I'm so glad your bag was just misplaced and not lost. Like you said, not the end of the world, but still nice to have all of those things.
Yeah for MK!!
