How do these codes work?

My mother got an email for the 40% off on the days I will be at WDW, 11/29-12/5. She emailed it to me knowing that I have a trip booked and she is not going, can I use it? :) or am I just out of luck? :sad:

She would have to be on your reservation as well.

nope you can't...they are non transferable..Unless she is going with you,She would need to be on the ressie and present at check in.

We had a similiar situation.We had just booked 10 nights at ASMu in Sept. A few days later our son got a 40% code. Even though we knew the answer, DH emailed guest services asking if we could use his code. A day or two later we got the responsewe were expecting, "no". (He is not traveling with us.) Well, less than 3 days later we got our own 40% code. Coincidence????? We then used our our code to upgrade to POFQ.:cool1:

Okay, so I called the regular reservation number and talked to a CM that told me I didnt have a code attatched to my name. I was very sa but I decided to call back and talk to someone else because there have been many times in the past that different CM's have told me different answers to the same question. Well, the second CM told me I DO have a 40% code :woohoo: .

Needless to say I changed my reservation right then. THANK YOU DISers for al the information that you guys put on these boards because I never would have thought to call and check.:disrocks:

So I guess I would try calling at least twice to see if you cant get a code!
