Hi,

I am calling tomorrow to make reservations for my first time at Hilton Head.

But I need help with room locations.

What is the Live Oak Lodge like, is it close to the pool and do the rooms have a good view?

I really like staying in the main lodge at Vero so I hoping this lodge is the same kind of set up.

I am going to request a one bedroom and going to call day by day since it will be Easter time.

I am looking so forward to my first stay at Hilton Head because I have heard so many good things about the place.

So if someone could help me out here and recommend a good location for me to request. I would like something close to the pool area since this is my daughters favor place to be.

Thanks for your help

Minnie

The HH Resort is very compact and nothing is very far at the resort. The lodge is the furthest from the pool, but is still within a 5 minute walk.

There are only 21 1BR villas and 16 of those are in the Lodge area. The Live Oak Lodge is very different than the lodge at VB- no expansive lobby and no restaurant or store. (The store and snack bar are near the pool.)

The other 5 1BR villas are loctaed beneath the GV's. None have a pool view, but all are near the pool area.

There are 3 room views- Marsh, Pool and Island. Marsh views look out at Broad Creek and offer a look at the changing tides and the water life there. (We've seen dolphin and otters from our balcony). Island views are wooded and of other buildings. All views are pleasant.

Have a great trip! :)

I just got back from my first trip to HH. My building is #18, which is marsh view. The check in guy says #18, 29, and 31 are the best, all have excellent views of water. I called 3 days before my arrival to request for the room (marsh view, top floor, quiet...etc), and I got exactly what I want. This is a tip I got from this board.

Everything is very close by. The Lodge is right by the entrance, have covered parking, and furthest away from everything (but still very close). The building around the pools are too noisy for me. But either way, everything is fantastic there.

Enjoy.

I need to book my HH trip for next year also. When is Easter? I don't know what I did with my dvc calendar. I haven't been to my first dvc home in a long time. I miss it!

:D

Easter Sunday is April 20th, so tomorrow will be my first day of calling.
