We are going in June using the Military discount available. We are currently booked at the POP and I think I have decided to change to CBR. We are a family of 5 so we will need 2 rooms. Without the code CBR would not be an option, but I want to stay a few extra days to just enjoy the resort. I have a few questions.

Without paying extra, what building should I request to be as close to things as possible?

How is the food court? If we were to do all meals there a few days is there enough variety?

Anyone have pictures of the new pool?

Is the pirate cruise for the kids worth it? Looks like fun to me.

Thanks so much for anyones help or advise. I am suprising the family when we get there, letting them think we are staying at the POP until we arrive and instead go the the CBR. Cant wait.

I believe there are some rooms in Martinique that aren't preferred locations. Next closest to OPR is Aruba and Jamaica - a 5 minute walk! :goodvibes

We love CBR for it's beautiful grounds, hammocks on the white sand beaches, quiet Caribbean music playing everywhere, a relaxing tropical feel, a beautiful bridge, island & lake, great & huge food court, friendly CM's, double sinks in the bathroom area with the most storage space underneath them of all the moderates and the LARGEST rooms of all the moderates! All the rooms have been or are currently being redone. CBR is centrally located to all the parks and does not share buses with any other resort. :goodvibes

All that PLUS the pool can't be beat – it's brand new, very large, zero entry, and has 2 slides! The new children's pool is pirate themed and has several slides and a tipping bucket. They also have a marina where you can rent water-craft and it is open year-round and you know about the Islands of the Caribbean Pirate Cruise for children 3 days a week. pirate:

The whole resort is like a vacation within a vacation, a “leave your worries at the door” kind of place!:cloud9:

You might want to take a look at the CBR FAQ thread. Lots of good information in the first post. Link is in my signature.

We always get a standard room; Aruba and Jamaica are across the lake from food court, but keep in mind the the blgs. for both villages are spread out so you could end up very close to the bridge or further away. Either case has not been a problem for us.

Martinique has some non-preferred rooms which are not too far from OPR.

IMO, the food court is fine with variety. Salads, hamburgers, pizza, chicken strips, some Italian choices and some roasted chicken and other hot meals. (that station with the roasted chicken is usually open for dinner time)

We haven't done the Pirate Cruise.

The arcade is in the same bldg., next to food court and gift shop.

We love the CBR! Enjoy! :)
