We returned from a six night stay at the Boardwalk Villas last week. This was our first stay on points. We purchased at Wilderness Lodge (150 pts) last year and thought we would try Boardwalk first. It was great! We had a two bedroom (rooms 3040 & 3042) which overlooked the Main Pool. Room 3042 had a direct view of the clown face. The view from room 3040 was pretty much obscured by trees. The rooms were fantastic and the service was great. We did have a car and used the valet service several times during our stay. Very nice service and very nice people. About the only items that we did not think to bring were coffee filters and paper plates. We pool hopped to the Stormalong Bay (Beach Club) and the Wilderness Lodge. If anyone has any questions I would be happy to answer them.

We are getting for our first stay in a 2-bedroom next Sunday. Was wondering if you were wishing you had paper plates so you would not have to wash dishes or because there weren't enough plates, etc. in the 2-bedroom for your group? I had thought all that was supplied, and now I am wondering what all kitchen supplies we may wish to take. We do plan to have some meals in the room to save some money, and there will be 6 in our group.

RweTHEREYet:

Do not worry about the kitchen supplies. They have almost everything. The paper plates would have been nice for snacks or quick meals when we did not want to use the "fine" china. There is a dishwasher so you can load it up and keep on using the good stuff if you like. You may also want to throw in some paper cups for the same reason as the paper plates. We ate every breakfast in the room and many lunches. It was very convienent and saved lots of $$$. Also used the Spoodles carry out window for Pizza in the room one night.

Enjoy your trip.

Can you tell me what kind of coffee filters are needed for the coffee makers in the 1-2 bedroom units? Did you end up buying them somewhere?

I was just about to ask the same question about the coffee filters. Nobody wants to deal with me until I've had my am pick me up!;)

We just returned from BWV on Saturday. The coffee filters are the round ones for the 10-12 cup coffee maker.

As far as the coffee filters are concerned, Maxwell House sells coffee packs that are filter and coffee in one. I used these on our last trip and they worked just great. Much easier that buying filters and coffee. Just take one out and throw it in. They come in a blue square canister. If I remember correctly, they were around $3 for 10.

We just got back Friday. Had a great week.

Note: do get paper plates and non stick frying pan. You only get enough plates for one meal. The standard frying pans were a pain and our stove heating elements had a problem with being bent and the pans sat at an angle.

Construction is still going on. They were painting our hallway all week and working on the LUNA Park view rooms.

I always use the Maxwell packs at DVC, too. Just a hint -- for a full pot, you need to use two.

Glad you liked our home, Mark! :)

My recommendations, and what I plan on bringing for our next trip real soon:

1) Whatever your most used piece of cookware is. In my case I live on ramen soup, so, I bring a good measuring cup(the ones in the room are iffy) and a nonstick saucepan.

2) We shop down there for groceries, and will be getting some paper plates, and maybe some cups too, mostly just for light snacking. We usually throw everything in the dishwasher before heading out to whichever park for the day, and havn't run out of dishes yet.

3) Pick up packages of those new 'tabs' type dishwasher and laundry washer detergents. You can throw a half dozen of each in with the luggage to cover the whole week easily.
