I've never been to either of those places. My mom and I are trying to decide where to go for dinner when we get there on Friday. Eat in Disneyland or maybe Downtown Disney...?
Mmmm I like to share the chicken dinner at plaza inn
It's huge. The green beans and mashed potatoes are good!

Rancho iget the kids chicken meat in place of the regular on the tacos
The platter meat has some tomato based sauce that doesn't agree with me.
I liked the menu before they changed it last time
Too many changes and not always better

My mom doesn't eat meat, chicken or fish so I wanna find some where that will have a varity of non-meat dishes for her to choose from.

No babies yet. Not that I havent been trying. :lmao: Oh well.. at least we are for sure they are coming out tomorrow. Im so nervous, I think I might barf. I think I made a huge mistake. I dont think I really want any more kids. Do you think they would notice if we ran out of the hospital without the babies? :scared1: KIDDING!!:lmao: But really. Im terrified. Seriously. Two babies at once? Who DOES that?? :sad2:

My mom took me and the kids out for dinner tonight, and the waitress said I walked like a duck. I would like to see how well she walks with a gigantic swollen pregnant lady foot up her butt.

I think we are all ready for tomorrow.. I went to the school and got everything straight with them, Alex had already told his teacher that we were having babies tomorrow.. She was all.. She is so cute. :lmao: I showed my mom how pickup works, and where and when he needs to do whatever. We are all packed.. I hope we are ready. Oh well. We are about as ready as can be. My belly skin is so tight its freaking numb. :headache:

What are you doing on here Megan? You're messing up my new career in fortune telling! You are supposed to go into labor this evening, rush to the hospital and have the babies at 2:40am on March 2nd.

Sorry, but it's a little late to change your mind now. But if you want I can send you my grandmother's dime birth control device in case you get any more ideas.:thumbsup2

Good gravy! I missed so much and Staley is having babies tomorrow????? I'm so excited for her and her family. Yay!! :woohoo: :yay:

I talked to Bernice this afternoon. I was able to get Thursday off! I was afraid my supervisor and manager wouldn't approve but they did. I'm planning to hang with her half-day and then I have to head home since I'm working on Friday.

We are thinking of breakfast somewhere....maybe Catal? Storyteller's? :confused3 Need to check with her. The Catal menu looks yummy

I wish you a speedy labor and complication free births today.
I will be thinking of you and anxious to be back online tonight to hear the good news. Think of all of the hyenas being there with you in spirit, if we could we would be right in there holding a hand , leg, or sporks at the ready depending on the mood :lmao
I have faith that you are a wonderful mom and twins will make your love even stronger, sligtly crazed mom of course... But I believe you and Frelan are up to the task :)

I wish I could post some cute birthday images but it would take a lot of effort to handtype it all Lol even the smilies here require mega scrolling on my tiny credit card sized screen. I swear I need bifocals now.
At least it fixes my spelling mistakes ; )

What time was she to go in today? Early I hope! Nothing worse than sitting at home waiting and waiting
Building anxiety

March 3 is a good date, day after dr Seuss birthday :)
They could have Cat in the Hat themed birthday party
Hmmm I have a strong desire to buy Disneyland something goodies for Jasmine and Vincent's birthday
I wonder if the make twin pins :) of course I could get Twins baseball stuff in MN :lmao:

NO BABIES TODAY. The stupid f-ing hospital canceled my FREAKING induction. THEY dont think I am ready. So THEY want me to wait another WEEK. CHeap f-ing *******s. My Dr. called this morning and told me to some into her office so we could try to get labor going.. She checked me, and I am dilated to 3cm already. So she stretched my cervix... sending me into some LOVELY contractions, and she said that she could feel the baby's head pushing down during my contractions.. So that is good. I go back tomorrow for more stretching. If nothing works, and I am still pregnant this weekend.. I am DEFINITELY being induced Sunday. The nly good news is after all this.. my labor will probably fly by since I am already progressing. :sad1: I am so bummed.

Have you considered swimming? It's supposed to help bring on labor and is easy for pregnant women to move around without feeling the stress on joints. Also, I read that swinging on a swingset causes a slight Gforce that helps labor along...no that doesn't mean you can swing yourself in circles over the top bar at the playground!:rotfl2:

Of course walking, stairs, and squatting all help. But I know you're not moving around too good right now.

But definitely think about swimming and having DH help out!:thumbsup2

So we went this morning and signed the papers to refi the house due to the new lower interest rates. We only had about 10-1/2 years left on our old 20 year mortgage. I took out a 30 year mortgage and lowered our payments from 1,300 to $700. Although we are used to paying the higher amount, so I am having them double our payment each month and take $1400 out. That way we can be completely debt free in 9-1/2 years!   Although my goal is to pay off even more and be debt free in 5 years. :thumbsup2

Oh no what a bummer
Odd that doc wants you in but hospital doesn't that's weird
I thought it would be up to your doc and you to decide on approp treatment
That stinks

Yep have hubby help things along wink wink
Or midwives encourage nip stimulation
Caster oil too but that's icky and can make you feel sick

I'm posting while sitting in the walkway from the grand to downtown disney
Just enough signal to work yeah!
It's warm today
Yesterday it rained for a bit and my crocs have little tread left so I almost face planted several times
Note to self need real shoes in spring at Disney ugh
Crowds are light busier at DL than Dca
Walked onto Soaring
Single rider for midway mania fun fun ride , much easier to score than on buzz would be good for little kids too

Fantasmic was missing the giant puppets and the dragon did not appear
She stayed as maleficent and it wasn't quite the same
Small world is nice! I had my doubts but the new additions blend in perfectly
Castle walk thru was nice too, not what I remembered but I liked it
White water snacks is closed, didn't know until I walked back there
Off to hint for food
Hope you can kick start it ok your own megann
Hugs

Oh and Alison way to go on refi , awesome!

I had a blast today
Very mellow mood as I left which felt wonderful

I was sitting after I ate , just watching people on Main street
Noticed Jasmine and Aladdin trying to make their way to their meet and greet area
They didn't get far as a crowd developed around them
Watching the interactions and here the
Mad Hatter and Alice come sneaking by my table
Hatter tried to startle Aladdin by making noise behind him, they had a good laugh
Then alice and the mad hatter sat at my table
Perfectly in character the whole time and they took turns telling me jokes
Eventually other guests noticed them sitting with me and began to invade
I said my goodbyes and walked with a lighter step for the rest of the night

It's not the first time Mad Hatter has sought me out, one recognized me and the boys at Goofy's . We had an interaction inside DL the year before :)
I believe it was the same cast member this time too .
You know you are a Disney nut when the cast begin to recognize you, and you know them by name ( like a certain CM at plaza inn that is a poster on the DIS , today she was filling at the corn dog cart ..I was like Hey I know you LOL)

Sounds like a most wonderful evening. Those are the best times at Disney, when you can just relax. :thumbsup2 Which is perhaps why I love the waterparks so much. Whenever life gets stressful I just think about being in a tube floating around the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon...relaxing music play, looking at the beautiful flowers and foliage on the banks...like I'm in another world.:thumbsup2

Oh well gives me time to watch the news and slowly pull myself together for a rainy day.

So umm staley any progress? I hope you get your wish for labor to begin now :)

Had him on his due date the very next morning.
Hopefully that worked for you !

Hey guys!!!

Staley :grouphug: to you - hang in there!!! The babies can't stay in there forever!!!

I came here today to check on you, but alas, still no babies.

I will throw out a brief update, before I am back off to work. Worked 48 hours last week :faint:, and it will probably be the same for this week too :faint:. Sadly, this will probably continue for awhile.

We have a major tour with the big bosses tomorrow that has been keeping us busy. We re-did our whole menu, added some things and actually have some really yummy sandwiches that I was terrified of

Friday we are off to Prescott to see how DD does in the regional science fair, then we drive to the valley. Saturday is my Grandparent's 60th anniversary - so that sounds like loads of fun :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:. I already have quite a list of stores that we have to hit (we got nothin' here, seriously peoples) and then we have to rush back Saturday night, so I can work again on Sunday :lmao:

I will definitely keep looking for baby updates though :goodvibes

Went to Walgreens at lunch today...with my shopping ad list and pile of coupons. Get to the checkout and I'm pleasantly asked if I could please step to the other Coupon Clippper Special Service Register. WTH??

A nearby asst. manager ran to the register and very quickly and efficiently rang up my purchase, he said he would say each price aloud and if anything seemed the wrong price please let him know right away, then he quickly scanned all the coupons. I inquired, why the special service??:confused3

He said that all customers with large amounts of coupons deserve special service. He has the capability to override incorrect prices and take questionable coupons. It speeds up the regular line and speeds us coupon clippers up as well. No angry customers when the coupons don't ring up right, no waiting for someone with a key to override or make corrections. It worked great!

Of course I joked that us coupon clippers caused problems.:rotfl2: But he reassured me that they very much value their coupon clippers, winked and told me "we make money on coupons"! They sell the product, get reimbursed for the coupon amount, plus 8 cents extra. So overall he said, we get 8 cents more for each product that you purchase as compared to a non-coupon clipper customer. He laughed and said that their store just made an extra 72 cents from the 9 coupons that I used! Not only that, he said that some manufacturers give them the option of taking the extra 8 cents or getting even more by taking 16 cents worth of free product for each coupon on their next order.

Guess the stores are finally figuring out how to make coupons work to their advantage, the manufacturers are probably happy because they know most merchants will choose extra free product, so they continue to get shelf space. Geez, we all win with coupons!

wow busy dizzy!
I thought of you when I was on small world , the room with the African mask that reminds us of your trademark scolding shaking head smilies :)

Awesomeness at walgreen's
I wonder if they will make that a chainwide policy
It would be a huge incentive for couponers, I know several people who refuse to shop at walmart because of bad customer service when using coupons.
My local yahoo coupon group discusses which stores give them a hassle and those stores that do well. Enough that we avoid certain locations , driving out of our area to shop at the " good " ones.
Bravo to Wags for doing it right!

So I think I overdid it yesterday, my leg muscles are screaming at me. I'm on strolling speed with lots of resting stops today. Rained hard off and on all morning , love my umbrella today :lmao:
Crowds picked up when the rain stopped but overall smaller than yesterday.
Did a few walk on for rides, another round of single rider at midway mania
Fun stuff

Bought wooly mammoth crocs as I was sliding everywhere in my worn out ones. Pricey but compared to a hospital bill to treat a broken bone ..... Priceless!

More rain, gave up and went back to hotel a little early.

There is a mallard mama duck that has enraptures guests and cast members.
She has a flock of babies following her all around the carts in front of the castle. They move fast but I believe there are a dozen in her brood. My thoughts if a mama duck of a dozen can safely raise her young at DL then Megan will be just fine with her soon to be brood of four :) :lmao:

One of the security CMs follows the ducklings to make sure No one touches the babies. He was worried momma duck would anandon them.

It was too funny and cute at the popcorn cart, the cm looked down and suddenly he was surrounded by ducklings . He had to wait for them to go around his cart and back to momma duck.
They still have that fuzzy wobbly look and go peep peep. Extremely cute to see they have adapted to life at DL. They ignore the crowds following and taking pictures. It was puzzling to the security cm why momma duck had them out during a busy evening .
E had a duck as a pet, he told me when the ducking first began to quack that it would startle itself. Peep peep QUACK

Everybody here seems coupon friendly, except for Winco. They have a big sign up that internet coupons are not accepted due to fraud. Seems strange to me, especially now that the legitimate internet coupons all have bar codes. I would think they could just say only scannable internet coupons.:confused3

Wow, what fun! :rotfl: I had a Mad Hatter and Alice encounter about 2 years ago. I asked if I could take a pic with them and my little sister was with me (my older sister was waiting for her friends at the gate and we were sitting on Main Street). Next thing you know the Mad Hatter and Alice linked elbows with me and told me to walk and skip with them. Then they started walking all zig zag and crazy and making me crazy. Then they stop and point at this little boy and say: " *GASP* That's T's evil brother!" :rotfl: They led me around in a crazy pattern and finally let me take a pic with them. :rotfl:

Drive by as I never seem to be on when anyone else is. Staley, did you have those babies yet? I hope you are comfortably holding them by now!

With the baby news Staley brings I wont even go into what we have been through. Lets just say in the last week I've been to a funeral and have been crying nonstop. I wont say specifics though. My family is fine so no worries there.

Melody I j ust scanned through and I see your sister is sick. I'm just scanning so if I missed anything forgive me but how did the surgery go? I hope well. I will pray for her.

My inlaws were just here, devil beasts both of them. Luckily we were busy with Morgan's competition so I didnt see them much.

Jake and I are headed to San Diego tomorrow. If he had a pass I would come up to Disneyland for a few hours tomorrow but he doesn't :( My brother is moving so I am going to help him pack up.

Bernice, how long are you there for?

I hope Alex, Sam, pixster, Sarah Christina and dizzy are all doing good. If I left anyone out forgive me I didnt mean to!

Wait a sec, this is the girls only weekend. DUH! Maybe I can swing by to say hi to you ladies on the way to San Diego tomorrow. My brain is not fully functioning right now but that might be possible. Who is there? Bernice? Melody? Pix? Anyone else? I should have figured this out earlier. Someone call me but I cannot post my number here. LOL!

BTW, I miss you guys. Pix sent me a message on facebook which is easy for me to get on and post something quick and get off. I have been so not in the computer mood lately. I need to come and chat more.

I put my maiden name in as my middle name. That way if people from my past are looking for me they can type either name in and find me. Seems like it would be harder for people to find you with the hypenated name. But then again not sure how their search thingy works.:confused3

That is awesome that they were born on different days. I think it will make them feel more special on birthdays. I had two cousins that were twins and born in different years. One was born on December 31 and the other was born on January 1 about 15 minutes apart.

You guys should definitely set up a Facebook page, it's lots of fun. Bernice doesn't chat much on hers...Pix posts updates and I just found out Shawna is on there also. Actually the DIS is set up as a group over there also.:rotfl2: Even the Disboards are abandoning the Disboards for Facebook!:rotfl2:

It's nice because you can keep in touch with friends, family, you can do instant chat, PM, Wall(public message). The only thing I don't think it does is allow multiple people to chat at once. But I guess you could set up a group and chat that way.

Things move so quickly in the social networking internet world now that I think message boards like these are becoming obsolete. I think they are going to have to update to a Twitter or Facebook way of thinking.

I know that clipping coupons is saving me money, but I was curious how much I spend on groceries each month compared to the average family of four in the US.

According to some research that I'm sure my tax dollars paid for...the average family of four in the US spends $450 per month on grocery(food) and $600 per month on total groceries (food & personal care/hygiene products). You should also add in an extra $20 per dog or cat.

So I SHOULD spend $700 per month. I went back thru my checkbook and I am averaging $239 per month on TOTAL groceries for the past several months!!!!  Not bad for a family of four people, 2 dogs and 3 cats! Of course I'm sure my meat bill is a bit lower since DH got an elk this year. But red meat isn't the main meat we eat, we probably eat chicken 3 times a week at least. Anyway, I'm still very happy with my total family bill. But I'm sure Bernice could beat this by a long shot...bet her number is more like $23.90!:rotfl:

I bailed early from the parks tonight
My body is catching up with my age, these long days of conquering the park are over for me :(
Had a great time with pix :)
Hitting up our favorites and browsing the stores, nice mellow day
Pix bought a cute tote bag
Started the process to have it personalized only to be told by the cm that they don't allow nicknames ( she wanted it to say pixster). I don't understand the policy, they've had it on and off for the hats and the guest of honor badges. I know in the past they would only do first names or would only allow single word names. They let E do a name badge of Mr Garcia once, it was perfect for a teacher :)

I only have 2 hrs in park on Friday
Right now I am debating just watching tv in my hotel room instead
Too sore and tired, might change my mind in the morning :lmao:

We shall all have facebook and ditch the dis ;)
Guess that means I need to add that to my itouch apps and post more often eh?

For being low season
It's not that low in crowds
The birthday deal has made a huge rebound in numbers, it's not crazy busy but a lot more than I expected. High capacity rides are 5 to 15 wait at most. Popular rides 20 to 30 at the very most.

Lots of consruction walls in both parks, exciting to see new changes being made with a tiny bit of bottleneck hassles in key areas ( like main street)

Off to bed :)

Hello Hyenas,

Wow, one day from taking off from work and all heck breaks loose! :faint: :sad2: Why is it that my customers wait until I'm out of the office to drive me nuts? :sad2:

I'm happy it's Friday though. :yay: My bf watched Watchmen with one of his co-workers after work yesterday (there was a show at midnight). He told me it was the worst movie he had ever seen. I actually wanted to see it but he said it was really really awful and horrible. I'm surprised he didn't walk out from the movie. I read the paper today and it got 1 1/2 stars out of 4 stars. Must have been really terrible. :rotfl:

This morning I got Jack In the Box for breakfast- their sausage egg and cheese croissant is awesome. Oooh...Farmer's Market is today. Maybe I will stop by after work and get some fruit and cucumber yogurt with pita chips from the hummus guy! :yay:

Bernice- I had lots of fun with you. My feet and legs were so sore last night but they feel a lot better today. I waited a long time to get on the tram. People were pushing and shoving and fighting to make their way on the tram. Some even tried to squoosh 5 people in one row and it just was not possible and the CM made them get off. I think I waited for 20 minutes just to board. :faint:

It's nice and sunny today. I'm glad it's not raining anymore. Not sure what my plans are for the weekend but I hope you guys who are attending the ladies trip today have a great time. :) Take lots of pics! :)

I have some photos of me and Bernice from yesterday. I'll upload them later if I get a chance.

Good Morning Hyenas,

When I got off of work yesterday I made a spur of the moment trip to DTD. The traffic was horrible on the 5 fwy and it took me over 2 hours to get down there. :sad2: I decided to try calling Melody and luckily I was able to reach her but we had trouble hearing each other. She was headed to a DVC tour with some of the other ladies and so I gave her my phone # so she could call me. I was starving and it was already 8pm so I decided to grab a bite to eat. I parked in the DTD parking lot and got a good/close spot. :thumbsup2 I wanted to eat at Croc's by the DL Hotel pool but it was closed. I decided to try Hooke's Point since I had never eaten there before. I sat at the bar area and just had water and a salad (caesar dressing and shaved parmasean cheese) and their scallops. The food was really good and surprisingly cheaper than Blue Bayou. :thumbsup2 They also give discounts for Premium AP's which helped. :)

After dinner I called Melody and she told me that they had just ended the tour and were headed towards Napa Rose for drinks. I headed over there and had never been in Napa before. It's really nice inside and I didn't know that they served desserts and cheeses. I didn't order any drinks but I did sit and chat and met some really nice people. :goodvibes All the ladies were really nice, a few I recognized and remembered from last year's trip. It was good to see Melody too. We chatted and just hung out at Napa and then we left around 11 or 11:30pm. It was a bit odd that Napa's bar stops serving drinks at 10pm on a Friday. Not sure why. :confused3 Some of us were all puzzled by that. The ladies headed back to the hotel and I had to head the other way back to my car. I hugged Beth and some of the other ladies and hugged Melody and took off home. :)

*Bernice- Beth said that she saw you and I walking past Rancho del Zoccalo on Thursday. She said she was by Riverbelle and tried to call our names but we didn't hear and were too far away. I think we were headed towards the restrooms or Fantasyland, can't remember. It would have been cool to see them that day though.

*Sarah- I tried to call you last night but wasn't able to reach you. We were all wondering where you were and if you wanted to join us at Napa Rose. Hope you have fun today :)

Hey ladies!! Im HOME! And I have BABIES!!! :cool1:  Frelan was posting from the hospital from his PSP. It was CRAZY times!! Here is the scoop.

Tuesday I went to the Dr. and she said I was already a 3, and stretched me. Then told me to walk, walk walk.. and come back the next day. :thumbsup2 So we took the kids to the park, and I was all over that big toy. I looked a SIGHT Im sure. :lmao: Anyhow.. My mom kept the kids overnight, and Frelan and I were like :confused3 NOW WHAT??? We have never been without our kids!:lmao: So we ate dinner and went to bed. :rotfl2: Living the high life, I tell ya! The next morning I woke up with TONS of pressure in my pelvis, and I called my mom and told her I thought today was the day!! Frelan and I went to Walmart and picked up some hospital snacks, and headed off to the Dr.s office. She checked me, and I was a 4!:cool1: And my contractions were coming every 5-10 minutes. She wanted me to get them a little closer together, and head on in! So we walke some more, and that was it. I was in full on labor! We stopped for dinner, and headed off to the hospital! We checked in, and got situated.. They hooked me up, and away I went! I was a 5 when they broke my water, so they told me I should go ahead with my epi.. So I did. they gave me a little pitocin.. and I fell asleep. They woke me up an hour later, and I was a 10!! Time for babies! it is a little disorienting to wake up and be told to push. :lmao:

Anyhoo.. I push once or twice, and little boys heart rate started to drop, s the doc vacuumed him out, reached up and pulled out little girl. It was very fast. Really. They woke me at 11:30 to check me and I had babies at midnight. They are gorgeous. :lovestruc

All day Thursday we had people in and out of the room doing all kinds of testing on them. :headache: ALL DAY. They had low blood sugar at birth, so they had to get tested every couple of hours.. Then Jasmine failed her hearing test.. 3 times.:headache: All kinds of other stuff going on because they were early. Car seat test, Umm.. I dont know.. Im still a little out of it. :lmao: I feel like I got hit by a truck. I guess squirting out two babies will do that to ya. :rotfl2:

Nursing is going VERY WELL with Jasmine. She is doing KILLER! Greedy, hungry little thing. Vincent.. not so much. :guilty: The lactation consultant isnt hopeful for him. his mouth is very small.. to small for my nipple. Plus, until my milk comes in.. there just isnt enough to feed them both.

They are both SUPER healthy, and wonderful!! CUTE too! Jasmine looks just like Mikalah.. JUST LIKE her! Vincent looks like Mr. Magoo. :lmao:   I LOVE it! He is my grumpy old man, and I swear.. I could just eat him up! Pics in the next post!!!

Awwww Megan. You have such an adorable family. I just love the pics of A&M holding V&J.:thumbsup2 Sounds like things went pretty well. Bummer than Vincent isn't nursing well...my DD was like that, had trouble latching on, was getting hungry so DH finally at Day 5 gave her a bottle and she sucked it dry. Some babies just don't do well with nursing, all you can do is try. :grouphug:

CONGRATS!!!!

Precious little angels.
Loved the pics of the big kids holding the little ones :) CUTE!
Hopefully Vincent will get the hang of nursing, like Alison posted some babies take a little longer to learn and others never quite get the latch correctly. I had to be a bit more careful with Noah to latch , figured that out the hardway ouch!
Low blood sugar is common with twins, easily treated but yeah annoying when the lab comes every few hrs to poke them . Get them settled and calm , in walks lab or someone else. You will get more rest at home! :lmao:
Thank you Frelan for keeping hyenas informed :)

This whole daylight savings deal has thrown off my groove.http://i40.tinypic.com/2m5b6vp.png :rotfl: My bf slept in until past noon so I woke up and shopped online. I found a coupon code for American Eagle and bought some clothes. Then I drove down to DTD and went to World of Disney to do an exchange. It was around 2:55pm. I read that the ladies trip was meeting up for drinks at Uva Bar around 5pm but I wasn't going to hang out in DTD that long. :( Otherwise I would have joined them. I wasn't there very long. I'm all disney'd out for the week. :faint: I went to the DLH to get some Chip N' Dale snacks and I traded 2 pins with a CM. I chatted in line with 2 people in front of me when I was waiting to pay. We were just talking about snacks and stuff. :goodvibes I was thirsty so I bought a drink from the small cafe outside the DLH. I parked in DTD and took off back home and showered and am just relaxing. My bf and I are planning to go out for dinner. We are still debating where to go but I am starving. I didn't eat anything all day and am hungry hungry hungry!! http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d141/MJAngeL_03/CG-HUNGRY-SMILEY.gif

Howdy Hyenas! Hope everyone had a great day. I slept in this morning and then went to work for about 5 hours. Then met some of my breast cancer friends at Borders for coffee at 5pm. We've had snow off and on for the last two days...nothing serious, just typical NW snow. The roads were clear and it melted off.

Hello Hyenas,

I had some car trouble that needed to be taken care of. Whenever I brake from 75mph down to 60mph (example: exiting the freeway) my steering wheel would shake. At first it wasn't too bad but then it started getting to the point where I was really concerned. I called the dealer early this morning and headed down there for them to take a look. I ended up replacing the front brakes and machining the front brake rotors. I had a feeling it was the brake rotors as I had read similar experiences on the car forum. I also needed to replace the air filter since that was dirty (inexpensive to replace). Total I spent $230. :faint: Tomorrow I need to get an alignment because my car is pulling to the right. It's not too bad but I'd like to take care of that immediately. It's due to my car having new tires and I just had them rotated a few weeks ago. I got a coupon for $20 off from America's Tire for a shop that is close by to my house. I made an appointment for tomorrow to have that done.

I hope you guys are having a good day.

Catching up on housework and laundry, boys are such smelly messy creatures when women are not around to keep them in line :lmao:

Had a longish talk on the phone with my sister , she sounded blue and totally fed up with her husband. Personally I think he's going thru mid life crisis thing, in summer he bought a boat. She was not pleased. Now he bought snowmobile, it's junk and he regrets buying it. He's looking for a nicer one. Pissing her off even more because they can't afford if plus will have go keep it at my parents because he couldn't use it in town anyway. Three hour drive to my parents , more money spent on gas.
She threatened the D word, I was like really?
I don't know what is going on, to me it's all very sad and odd because E and I don't fight .

I didn't see anyone until Sat. morning and if Melody hadn't of caleld me I would have missed out on the group shot because the location was changed at the last minute. It took us 3 hours to get to Disneyland on Friday. My mom and I were exhausted just from the drive down. We ended up just grabbing something to eat in DTD and looking in a few shops and then we went back to the hotel and went to sleep. :rotfl: Which was good because we were at Disneyland when it opened at 8:00am.

I bought Pinocchio this morning on DVD. :yay: I've been waiting for this movie to be released from the Disney Vault. I think I missed it the last time it was out on DVD.

One co-worker has an eyepatch on from having a case of pink eye. Anyway, this other co-worker of mine is on a rampage and was complaining (loudly I might add) that she refuses to get sick and catch it, blah blah blah. :sad2: Then she comes out of production with a can of Lysol and starts spraying the keyboard for our time clock and then continues to spray all the doorknobs in the office. She made quite a spectical of herself and everyone thought she was overreacting to it all. :sad2: She was treating this person as if he had the plague. :sad2:

Ahem....Just received a catalina at Fred Meyer. It is the strangest thing I have ever seen and here is what it says:

NEW FREE(up to $4.25)
when you buy
South Beach Living Fiber Fit
Granola Bars or Hi Protein Cereal Bars.

So does this mean I get a free box of their granola or cereal bars??? Or does it mean that I buy one and get one free??? I've never seen a coupon that doesn't clearly specify. STRANGE INDEED!!!

Howdy, Hyenas!

I was going to post a quick note while DS4 was in the tub, but he's already clamoring for me to go wash his hair, dang it! :sad2:

Let's see, what's new...? Not much. DS8 and DH are wrapping up the winter basketball season with a final game this Saturday, and an awards lunch right after. It will be good to have that done with, since we've had a few weeks of overlap with spring little league.

I had no idea how intense little league is! The kids are almost all from DS' school, which is nice because we know most of the kids and their parents already. So far the kids are all getting along and eager to learn and play. During the first practice DS8 was grinning ear to ear, it was so cute to watch! Practices are 3 days a week, and once games start (one or two a week) they'll drop ONE of the practices. So this is a 3 or 4 day a week gig for the next several months. Good thing DS4 isn't really involved in his own sports yet, sheesh!

Did I mention DS4 is reading??? Coulda knocked me over with a feather when that happened! Anyway, he is charging through the first set of BOB books I bought. The first one, entitled MAT, reads something like this:
Mat.
Mat sat.
Sam.
Sam sat.
Mat sat on Sam.
Sam sat on Mat.
Mat sat. Sam sat.
The End

He can read the first couple books all by himself, needs a bit of prompting in a few spots in the third one, and a bit more help on the 4th one. Each book adds a few more letters/sounds to the ones learned previously. I am just stunned at how quickly he is picking this up!

OK, he's out of the tub and I've got his skin medicated and creamed, so we're off to watch a little TV before bed.

Hope you all are well and happy. (And WHAT IS WITH THIS WEATHER??? Snow yesterday, cold and sunny today, supposed to hit 50 later in the week... Is it really almost spring???)

Little League is a killer. I'm actually kind of happy that DS didn't want to play this year. It starts feeling like all you ever do is hang out at the baseball fields. At least basketball takes place when the weather is cruddy and there's not really anything else to do.

Awesome that your DS is reading. DD learned to read when she was 4 also.:thumbsup2

They don't return phone calls, don't answer phone calls, it's just ridiculous. His adjuster lets all calls go straight to her voice mail. They seem very unprofessional. :sad2: His mechanic has been trying to reach the adjuster and had to call several times to get a hold of someone.

The mechanic also has been waiting for the check from his insurance company, which they did not send out as they had promised. :sad2: I don't blame my bf for being frustrated. It's already been 3 weeks and he wants his car back. He's been taking his motorcycle to work. I'm not sure what's going on with his insurance company but they are LOUSY. It's inexpensive, quick and easy. It will wash all those nasty germs right out of your nose. I use mine at least every other day...daily if my nose feels a little stuffy. This is now my second winter with absolutely no colds.

Got allergies...it will reduce or eliminate them.
Exposed to cold germs...it will wash them right out.

Think about it...we all wash our hands to reduce germs. Why not do the same with your nose? Germs enter our body in only a few areas...the nose is the main one. For $10 you can eliminate most of your wintertime ailments.:thumbsup2

No, they don't offer coverage for a rental car. :sad2: His insurance company is terrible. He doesn't really need a rental since he has his bike. I know he loves to ride his bike around (he has Kawasaki Ninja 250R). If it rains he borrows one of my family members cars (my grandma doesn't drive much so her car is available just in case).

Maybe I should try this. Do you have squirt it in your nose?

No, you squirt it in your ear.:rotfl2: It is 8 ounces of water that you squirt up your nose. It goes up one side and comes down the other. No, it does not hurt. The first few times will sort of freak you out, because you expect squirting water up your nose to be painful. But I assure you that it is not! The baking soda/salt solution makes it completely pain free.

Here's a video of the procedure...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zYLvSMAprg&feature=related

Try this once a day and you will feel fresh as a daisy! Oops wait, that's a different product!:lmao: :rotfl2:

This product is not recommended if you have a completely stuffy nose. But if you can breath at least a little bit thru each nostril it will help. Using it on a regular basis will keep your sinuses really clean and well I'll be blunt...booger and mucous free. Although you may sometimes get a bit of water going into your mouth, if you use it regularly it won't happen. That generally only happens when you have a stuffy nose. Also, what they don't show on here, but is included in the instructions, you should tilt your head to each side to drain out the residue on each side before leaving the sink area. Unless you like walking around with Kleenex and a water dribble nose for a couple of hours!

FREE MONEY ALERT!!!

JCP has a coupon good for $10 off $10. It can be used online also at JCP.com. If you go there, click on the outlet store and you can find lots of items that are cheap. I got 3 shirts for $4.99 each - $10 coupon = $4.97, of course they charge about $5 for shipping, plus sales tax. But not bad, I got 3 nice shirts for $11.82 total!:thumbsup2

When you check out just use the promo code BUDDING.:thumbsup2

Of course I wrote the code down on the coupon before I took it to the store, so I get to use it in store and online.

But the deal I got at the store was even better. A set of 3 Corning French Ware baking/serving bowls, regular $39.99, marked down to $19.99, I used my coupon and brought the price down to $9.99. But here's the good part, they had a $10 mail in rebate form!:dance3: :dance3: SO....I paid $9.99 + 0.82 tax = $10.81 - $10 rebate = $0.81 cents for a $40 set of bowls.:dance3:

You WILL freak out the first time. Because you will start slowly squirting water up and it seems like it's filling up your brain and is never going to come out. :lmao: Rest assured that it is just filling up the sinus cavity. You may see some gross stuff come out the first couple of times. But if you use it even a couple times a week thereafter it keeps it clean.

You can purchase them at most drug stores, Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, Rite-Aid, Target, Safeway, etc...My starter kit with bottle and about 50 packets was $10 at Kaiser Permanente.

Question for the Coupon Queen!

STRANGE INDEED!!!

wow, weird. Ya think they left something out there.. like what is the new free thing?

I have an oddball in my expireds that I'm trying to decide if it's worth the possible hassle
"Free Extra box with coupon"
Get one free natural popcorn when you take advantage of the B1G1 offer in store.

Okay, my store does expireds and they had this on a display stand long past the promo. Do I get a free box with no purchase? Do I buy 2 and get this one free? Do I hang onto it and pray for another B1G1 promo? :confused3

Argh! I grabbed a few without reading it. I would feel guilty if I tossed it, but darn it it's FREE and do I really want to piss off a cashier? :lmao:

Oh give me a home where the Hyena roam....and the deer and the antelope play. Where seldom is heard a discouraging word and the skies are not cloudy all day.

Hyenas don't roam....we saunter....with a margarita in one hand or in Grumpy's case...rum!!

Sometimes I like to mosey!! but only after a few RUMS!!!

:rotfl:

Your commercial would probably beat the one for the snuggie (I don't like that commercial and their "snuggie" makes it look like their in some kind of blanket cult!

Hubby has been having issues with acess site, had to start a new spot but was unsure how and where.. off he went to the clinic for the neph nurse to pick a spot.
It worked today, but it wasn't a happy place as he still had alarms. :headache:

There is a chance he will need to have it fixed with an arteriogram, similar to roto rooter where they will snake through the fistula to remove blockage while viewing it (using radioactive dye). It's a simple thing but would involve a hospital visit for a few hours. New to us hospital too, just to make it more nervy. Bleh. :guilty:

It's been many years since he last had to have this done. Hopefully the radiologist can fix it. If not, then he would need surgery to revise the area. They would schedule surgery right away and he would use his acess the same day after surgery.
Nothing like sticking big needles in an area that is freshly cut and sutured...

oh joy!

We just hope that they won't say he has to stay there to dialyze, it would seriously suck. Once a person is in routine to self dialyze i's hard to turn it over to someone else , to take on the role of "patient" and not in control of your own care.

Wish him luck that the new spot will be happy. :upsidedow

Don't excitedly rush out to the mail box every day looking for the NasaDock. I filled out the survey and it took about 6 months to get it! I had completely forgotten about it. There was no place to fill in a color, so I put my color choice in...apparently FREE doesn't get a color choice, I got bright green! But it does work nicely. I used the suction cups and hung mine on our bathroom mirror.

I looked at them. :thumbsup2

Best time to start the sinus rinse is when you don't have a cold. You can use it twice a day if you are very stuffy. If I feel stuffiness coming on I use it morning and night. It does feel strange at first, but once you've done it a few times and realize that it doesn't hurt then it doesn't feel so weird. Honestly I thought the doctor was nutso when he had me get one. I was so freaked out to use it.:rotfl:

I still say you are too critical of yourself, it was just fine. Mine looked pretty silly, but it was fun! I have a whole stack of botched character drawings from the other times I have done the classes.
Plus the ones by the boys and E.
Some day I will frame them all up for a big collage for my hallway.

In one of our apts we plastered the hall with every school art project the boys produced during the time we lived there (several years). It was beautiful and fun to see how their talents improved over time. Now I just have a few key pieces from that orginal collection, nice but not nearly as cute and colorful.

hmmm, think it's time to pull out some watercolors and have a family paint day. :goodvibes

We had a chance to see hubby's classroom today-- oh boy what a mess!
It's a huge room, desks on one end and lab tables on the other end. Plus he has a storage room.

There are tons of cabinets and drawers in the lab area, some are labeled but when you pull open the drawer... it's a bunch of junk tossed together and maybe a handful of what is suppose to be in there. Impossible to know what he has in the room already. Even more bizarre, he has supplies in the attic storage and even in someone else's classroom. Why in another clasroom? No clue.

I popped open a cabinet, hey you have curriculum books here. Hubby replies "ya they're 20 years old"

umm, so why do you still have them in classroom?
"I dunno."

He needs a solid full week to sort thru the crap, unfortunately that just can't happen. Guess I will be volunteering to clean.

I was checking out their reviews and it said that every Friday night they have smores night. You can purchase a smores kit and sit around a nice fire that they have and just roast marshamallows on sticks with your family. They also have desserts for adult couples to spend a nice relaxing evening together. I want to try to check it out. :goodvibes

We're both tired but hubby is very happy with my coupon skillz :cool2:
Super Target 50% off
Multiple orders at Cub thanks to the Kraft buy $25 get $10 on your next order. Did three rounds of the Kraft items (Cheese-- lots of cheese. 100 calorie and south beach items that after my high value coupons cost me just pennies out of pocket.)

Then took my $43 in cats and sizable stack of coupons to save 65% plus scored a nice 21 cent off per gallon gas coupon (It's one cent per $10 purchase, this time it was before coupon total of $210, paid $88. We can stack with 3 other gas coupons up to a total of 90 cents off per gallon).

The not so fun chore, trying to put it all away. :faint:

The hubby had his first night back at work last night.. and I am still alive!:lmao: Tired as heck, but I have pretty much been doing the overnights by myself for the past few nights anyways.. the babies are eating SO MUCH. More then I can pump. Seriously. And my freaking nipples hurt. BADLY. There should be some sort of numbing spray i can use. :lmao:

Alex and mikalah are both adjusting well.. Mikalah hates my guts right now, but loves the babies.. So I can live with that. As long as she isnt getting aggressive with the babies, and I can give her lots of loves during the day.. Plus her daddy is making sure he spends lots of special time with her. Alex is just LOVING the babies. He wants to hold them and kiss them and change their hineys and feed them.. He is a great big brother. Mikalah tells everyone that she is a big sister now.. :lmao: Its wicked cute!

Frelan isnt handling it as well.. He LOVES the babies.. but they dont really like him all that much. :lmao: They cry when he holds them, I told him it was because of how tense he is when he holds them.. They can smell his fear. :rotfl2: Plus he is afraid their little heads are actually going to snap right off and roll away. :lmao: I did manage a shower today though.. that was lovely!

Okay. My little milk hounds are calling.. Night ladies!!! puckerup:

wow! You go girl!
Hey that means you are going to need new clothes as more of the weight falls off :thumbsup2 Nursing burns thru the calories as I am sure you have figured it out now.

I had chapped and ouch feeling the first week or so with nursing, they toughen up but I remember feeling miserable for a little while. If you can handle it... express a few drops, smooth it over the area and allow to "air dry". Yes I know, how lovely to have the girls hanging out to dry  it works to heal up the ouchies.

Sounds like all of you are adapting to the new additions. :goodvibes

Yesterday I watched Race to Witch Mountain. My bf and I thought the movie was all right, not too bad. :thumbsup2 I had a coupon for a free small popcorn at AMC with a purchase of any size drink. :thumbsup2 We ate at El Torito afterwards. We sat at a booth close to the bar so we could watch the Laker game. They beat the Mavericks. :dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Over the weekend we had a break-in at our office. Luckily no one was here but they broke the glass at the door and stole our HD TV that was in our conference room. They also broke into some other buildings next door to us. I hope the cops catch them.

Ah, it's nice to see a little bit of activity on the hyena thread. I was wondering if everyone has moved off to facebook, which I still need to set up an account.

I'm currently debating about my yearly pap exam. I'm covered financially if I get it done here in Scotland, but I've been going to my Dr back in Canada since I was 18 and I'm really nervous about going to somebody new for this kind of thing. So the question is, do I pay and go to the Dr I'm comfortable with or go to a new Dr and not have to pay.

What would you guys do?

I think you should go with the new DR in Scotland. That way you're covered. I understand what you mean about being comfortable with a doctor you are familiar with as opposed to a stranger. I suggest just giving the new DR a chance. :)

whoa!
The lady has meditated so strongly that she is becoming one with the couch. :lmao:

MIL was here on the weekend.

We went to Mall of America so she could find shoes. I had fun using various coupons to show her my coupon queen title.

We both bought new blouses at CJ Banks/ Christopher and Banks. (Though she was funny about it.. she made the snide comment to E that it was an "old lady store", he wanted to reply back "well when the shoe fits..." :lmao: I know it wasn't her style, she tends to wear things ummm not appropriate for her age :rolleyes1 or umm too small and tight.. eek! )
My new adage is "you won't know until you try it on" , suprising how much more things I am willing to try with that mind set.
Anyway, we scrounged thru the clearance racks, offering up things that she might like. She did buy a pretty blouse that would look cute over a cami. A little more dressy than too tight T shirt and jeans. .. for $5 after coupon and sale. :thumbsup2

Part of it is she has lived out in boodunk country town for so long, as she put it "if I wore that back there they would look at me and whisper what's wrong with her?! " . Now she lives in a busy college town, I think it's time to invest in some cute trendier clothes. Besides a new look might be good for attracting a bed mate ;)

The next day we took her to our new fave night spot, there was a cover band playing top 40 type songs from 80's to current. She got nicely toasted while E and I danced the night away. :cool1:

All these happy things, back to work on Monday for hubby.
Boys have spring break.

Monday work day brings some scary and sad news. Over the weekend one of their students got shot at a park, just a few blocks from school. It was gang related , the student and sibling got caught in the cross fire. One shot in the leg, other shot in back. Both will recover from their injuries.
Because of the incident, they are on lock down.. no recess, must escort students everywhere, closed windows (have I mentioned it was 65 degrees yesterday?), locked doors.

E takes it all in stride, meanwhile .. I'm not sure how I feel.. scary but realize that E is doing waht he loves.

I would put my big girl panties on and go to the new doctor. But then again half the medical professionals within 30 miles of my house have seen just about every body part I have (or every body part I have left!:rotfl: ). Good Morning Hyenas,

My goodness our thread is so quiet! :sad2: :rotfl:

It was 80 degrees yesterday and will be the same today. Then the weather will drop and become cold again. :confused3: Last night I went to a shopping area in Oxnard. They have Home Depot, Borders, Old Navy, Cost Plus World Market, Anchor Blue, Bath & Body Works, Nordstrom Rack and other stores all in the same lot. I went to Old Navy and found a cool graphics t-shirt. I waited in line as this one customer purchased 4 or 5 large garbage sized bags worth of flip flops! I thought it was crazy and couldn't help but wonder what he would do with all of them. Sell them online? Sell them to friends? Create a million fly swatters with them? :rotfl: The store didn't have big enough bags so they had to use large clear garbage bags for him. I was laughing at how long his receipt was because the cashier had this expression on her face like: "When will this stop printing??" :rotfl:

I went to Cost Plus and got a few things, looked around Borders and then left. I remembered there was a Chik Fil-A that just opened nearby but I have never eaten there and wouldn't know what to order.

I stopped by Target on the way home and bought a couple things. They had Domokun dressed up with bunny ears and another of him dressed like a chick. I bought the chick one for my bf and I kept the bunny one for myself. :) I was starving and it was 9pm so I went to Wendy's and got a hamburger and then headed home, did some laundry, read some of my new book (The Time Traveller's Wife), watched part of a Laker game and then hit the hay.

Hope you guys are having a good day. :)

Well I went on vacation at the first of February and I've been trying to catch up with my work every since then. Not to mention that I had to finish doing year end and getting all of the records over to our tax accountants. Plus, I'm trying to get ahead on my work so I can take the kids to FL next week for spring break. I've just been really busy and working 6-7 days a week, tired when I am home. So I guess the DIS got knocked down a few rungs on my priority ladder.

I figured Megan was going to have her hands full with the twins.

Plus I think there are a few of us on Facebook now.:rolleyes1

Man alive, our thread is soooooo quiet! :sad2: I miss the good ol'days when we were all chatting and our thread was lively. :( I guess we are all too busy now and our schedules are different. I do miss all of you :(

I got called into the manager's office awhile ago. I got a surprise bonus check for the work I've been doing. The bosses agree that I've been working hard and taking good care of all my customers. They said that they know my customers are very difficult to deal with but they appreciate my hard work. I was really surprised and happy :)

Last night I headed to the mall to take a look around Sanrio. Browsed around the mall to look for some cute necklaces (ones from Claire's or Charlotte Russe, Icing, etc.). I noticed a lot of the stores in the mall have gone out of business. I left the mall and picked up an order from my favorite Middle Eastern kabob place. I stopped at Whole Foods and bought some sweet seedless purple grapes and my favorite cheese (imported from England). The cheese I like is called cotswald cheese. It's really yummy and tastes excellent with crackers :)

It's so very sad that kids feel like they have to resort to gangs. Even sadder still that there is no answer. Well there is an answer, but it's up to the parents to provide that answer. It's just not really something that a community can do. Sure we can have programs that divert some of the kids into other activities and give them mentors. But when it comes down to it, the root of the problem is within the family.

That is just so sad and bad. :sad2:
