I have a question about the 4day land and 3 day sea package

just a quick question... I'm leaving for my 7 day land and sea at Disney tomorrow morning and I will be staying at Caribbean Beach Resort. I heard through these boards that you can make a room request and when I called they said that all Disney cruise guests can only stay at the barbados section. Has this happen to anyone else?? Anyone know why? This has upset me because my mom has had a recent knee injury and I wanted to get her as close to the food court as possible . thanks!!

The reason Disney tries to keep all the cruise guests in the same section at the resort is to make it easier to pick up luggage for transport to the ship for the cruise portion of your trip. You should advise the DCL person checking you in that your mother has a knee injury and that you need to be near the food court to avoid excessive walking. It may or may not work, but it is at least worth a try.
