Having a group of five and wanting to get away from the craziness of WDW every night, my husband and I thought a cabin would be best. What's the maximum distance we'd have to walk to the park shuttles? Do you drive from your cabin to a parking lot every day?

If you are in the farthest cabin in a large loop, I would estimate 100 yards to the nearest bus stop.
You then take an internal bus to the Settlement Depot to catch a boat to the Magic Kingdom OR you take an internal bus to the Outpost Depot to catch a bus to any of the other parks or DTD.

the walk is not real bad. And in fact with the sights and sounds of the Fort it is real peaceful. We staid in the cabins for a number of visits before we bought our camper and after our first stay we decided to stay nowhere else on property. well except for the Contemporary or the Poly!
