Bubbles

Are some brands of bubbles better than others? I went to a wedding once where the bubbles didn't bubble very much.

If the bubbles are important to your day, I would recommend buying a few different brands/bottles of bubbles to see which work the best. (The soap to water ratio could vary from bottle to bottle or manufacturer to manufacturer... The longer the bubble solution has been in the bottle might matter too? Science questions that I don't know the answer to...)

If you find bubbles that you like, you could then try to buy that brand in bulk, and perhaps personalize the bubble bottles yourselves if you (or someone in your family) would like to take on a DIY project.

Other than that, maybe a DISBride has had good luck with a retailer.

I got mine from hobby lobby, very cheap I ordered labels and decorated them with rose and ribbon, they were the best bubbles yet

I got mine from the knot.com. They werent the wands, they were the short bottles. They worked great!!

The very best bubbles I've ever used are not wedding bubbles but are from germany. Alot of indepdendent toy stores sell them - Pustefix from Germany http://tangenttoys.stores.yahoo.net/pustefixtube.html The bubbles are out of this world - they're wicked colorful and big. If I have some spare dinero before the wedding, I'm going to buy a case of them for the staged exit. :)
