Has anyone had the Major Domo? We are not having attendants so we won't have anyone to hold the rings...:confused3
I thought this might be a good idea...but I'm unsure of cost...Might have FMIL hold the rings. Might be easiest...Don't know
So, if you had Major Domo could you pls post cost and pics if you have them!
TIA

If the only reason you're considering the Major Domo is to have someone to hold the rings, let me save you $650: Your officiant can hold the rings. The groom can give them to him/her before the ceremony starts. :thumbsup2

LOL. My brother held our rings. I only had a FG and RB, but he was 3 so no way in heck was he going to actually hold our Tiffany rings! SO my brother did :)

We had the Major Domo as my DH didn't have a best man. He really made the ceremony, no one was expecting him. He also announced things at our reception. There is photos of him in my TR.

Are your parents going to see your BEO or costing sheet? He will be listed on these.
We told our planner that most of our things were surprises and she wrote that down on the BEO.

$650 FOR ROSE PETALS!!! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
That wouldn't go over very well... I'll have to try and figure it out. I love the idea of having him but we area also having (as of right now) Mickey & Minnie...Mom & dad are paying for those...hmmm...I'll figure it out if we decide to do it. I am sure DF will poo-poo it...like he did Grand 1 and then said we could do tickets for CDS-um same price...but figured if we wanted to watch the fireworks with a brownie...we didn't need a 20 person minimum to do that. We could go to the park, get a brownie for everyone and watch the fireworks for "free" :headache:  Oh well...I'm gonna think about it and see what happens in the next little bit...
 Is it possible to have mom and dad pay the original BEO...add something to it...have it sent to my house and then pay off the balance?

Talk to your coordinator. I had ordered a grooms cake for DH as a surprise and he had cindy's carriage added on as a surprise. Our coordinator knew all about it and sent us 2 different BEO's - He got the one with the carriage & I got the one with the cake. It worked out perfectly neither one of us found out about it. If you stress that you really want it a surprise the will keep it a surprise! Most people have Major Domo as a surprise anyways so they are use to it, even the officiants "play" along when they know Major Domo is coming in.
