Best View of the parks, fireworks, & Water?

Which Resort do you all feel has the best view?

I am looking of a view of the parks from our window OR the Fireworks displays, OR even the "canal" of water running through SSR, OKW, BCV, & BWV
I have been looking for a map of the entire Disney Park/ Resort location- I saw one on here some time ago maybe Chuck posted it???

I can't find it now so I am asking opinions from everyone-
I am asking so we can decide next place to book and what area to request-

Oh we will be doing a 2 BR Villa no matter where we stay- maybe... possibly... not sure yet a Grand Villa- Need to decide that too! Thx! :goodvibes

best fireworks - BCV.

now the bwv view of the bw is nice - but not my favorite water view - like fountains so like OKW and SSR views better.

that say you just need to wait - BLT will have some great views of fireworks and wonderful views of water.

We own at AKV but I really would like to stay at a "Waterway" Resort in July- I have been looking for that map of the entire Disney Property and again I believe it was Chuck??? If anyone is familiar with this please I would love to ask him for it- Thx-
I was thinking OKW or BWV in July- I am saving BCV for 2010!! WooHoooo! I really really want to stay there- It looks absolutely lovely! I really wish that property was available when we bought- We bought AKV for the kids- and Yes! We do like it- I figure we will stay there more during Fall/Winter time frames and maybe Spring after this year... We really have no idea yet-
However, in July I would like to stay where I can see water and the kids can get a great view of some night happenings from our room balconies- whether that is fireworks, the parks all lit at night, or just a beautiful waterway view (for us adults) In the morning to see the parks opening or a beautiful waterway with the morning sun coming up in some direction to us...
We are staying at SSR in April and I am trying to see if a one Sunday night stay at SSR as well for just DH & me will be feasible before September-
So... next stop>>> which Resort? I guess as I ramble on, we will love all of them for various reasons- Just can't decide right now- I'm like a kid in a candy store! LOL

None of the resorts have everything you are looking for. But:

BCV has a view of the Illuminations fireworks that are higher up, but not the lower stuff.

OKW has a great view of water and golf courses.

SSR has a great view of water, golf courses and DTD.

AKV has savanna views.

VWL has no views other than trees - but the seclusion is wonderful.

BLT will have a 20% view of MK including MK fireworks.

BWV has a view of the boardwalk (20%), DHS (higher view), Epcot (higher view).

None have a direct view of the parks except for BLT.

there are fountains (I think) off to the side - that might be seem by the firework views.

the map here - look at the MK view - so it might be a fountain view and fireworks - no way to say until someone stays in those rooms.

There is a wonderful thread with hundreds of pictures of the resorts, grounds, and views.

Note: Expect to spend hours dreaming and enjoying this thread! :) :)

We absolutely love the boardwalk view. However, I think watching fireworks from the room is a huge letdown from actually seeing them in person. Of course, you are just a 5 minute walk from the International Gateway from BC or BW.

Oh Wow! You guys thanks so much! It looks that no matter where we decide we will love it! I am leaning towards Boardwalk but I am intrigued by OKW and the Florida Keys theme- I am going to go find the sticky mentioned and browse for a bit- Since I am asking for a July trip- (6 mos out) I guess we will be attempting the reservation first and hope we get it- then if not available we will know the next choice to ask for...
I really appreciate all of the responses and the specific descriptions of what we can possibly see from where- Again, I am sure we will end up loving all of them- If we aren't careful some add ons at various resorts may be in the future!
