we are going to be leaving DLP on a Sunday from Hotel Cheyenne will be catching VEA bus to Orly Airport.
Our plane departs at 7.30pm. Will we be ok if we catch the Vea at 4.45pm in front of our hotel? or shall we go for the earlier time which is 3.34pm?
(on the vea site it says that it is advised to catch the bus 2and a half hours prior to check in) but as u can see i will be trying to make the most of our time in dlp

Do you know how long the trip to Orly will take by VEA?

I don't know the answer to that, as we fly into CDG. It can typically take up to one hour on the VEA between DLRP and CDG, so if going by VEA, I'd get one closest to 3 hours before my plane's departure time.

If it takes longer to get to Orly from DLRP, you'd need to factor in extra time.

That seems like a long time before check in opens! I'd probably go for the 4:45 one but without knowing the transfer time it's difficult to guess.

Is that 45 minutes by VEA, or 45 minutes by car/private transfer?

The reason I'm asking is, by car or private transfer, CDG is less than 40 minutes drive from DLRP. But on the VEA, its rarely less than one hour, and I have been on one VEA journey which took an hour and a half, as there was an accident on the motorway en route.

the journey time is around 45minutes.

So that would get you to the airport as check in opens then. Personally I'd go for it...but I am a person who likes to cut it fine. In October the drive to Dunkerque takes just under three hours and our ferry was at 8pm, we left at 4:45 :thumbsup2

I've always assumed that Orly was a lot further away from DLRP than Roissy, you've got me wondering now what airlines fly into Orly that we might be able to use.

I think it's Beauvais that's a lot further away.
