I know this may be a silly question but DH has some qualms about the little ones falling overboard. Is this possible on any portion of the ship. We'll take the normal precautions... moving the furniture off the verandah, double checking the doors are locked outside to the verandah, and of course watching them like hawks. But is there anyplace on board that is especially "dangerous"? Barb's pictures on the castaway site show plexiglass on the verandahs (thanks Barb!) but how about the rest of the ship. The are good kids, as good as a 3 and a 4 year old can but they are part monkey :)
Are we worrying unnecessarily, paranoid, etc..?
Thoughts?

If memory serves, virtually the entire ship has plexiglass along the railing.

I would not be too worried about it as long as you keep an eye out. On our last one a child was standing on a chair next to a railing and a CM came over and nicely said that was not safe.
Just expain to your children that if they fell it would be a long way down! Even at 3 years old they will be able to appreciate that when looking down from the deck. Ann

Keep both eyes on the kids. I was wondering about the same thing and I can tell you that if your kids are on the "Wild " side they could climb their way overboard from certain places. I turned my back on my 3 1/2 year old daughter on deck 7 aft one night and turned around to see her climbing the rails. I almost S..T my pants and grabbed her. My heart started beating pretty fast. You know what I mean? Just keep an eye on them. For the most part you will have no worries. One thing I didn't want to have to do was the ole "Swan Dive" from deck 9 or whatever deck your on. I might have drowned myself with all the Bahama Mama's I had. I wonder if my wife would have missed me? LoL. Ha Ha.
We were on the May 4th Cruise.
