Just wondering when in the given travel window you will be traveling (and why-like what about that time of year makes you want/have to go) and which resort you are staying at. I called Friday to update a change of address with Disney and was told I have the 40% pin under my name!:woohoo: I'm trying to figure out when we should book-that's if my husband lets me! We were just there in November:upsidedow
Thanks everyone!-Kelly:wizard: here's some pixie dust for codes!

WOO HOO::banana: Booked Beach Club Sept 5-12, 2009. It's our fav time of year to go and our resort of choice. We love Labor Day weekend and week following....low crowds, so hot you want to spend lots of time at SAB :thumbsup2

We booked Nov 29th - Dec 5th at the Coronado Springs (waterview). We were planning on going around those dates anyways, so when I got the PIN code, it pretty much sealed the deal.
I really enjoy going at this time of the year. It's not crowded at all, and the Christmas decorations are already up. I can't wait!!
We are heading to WDW Nov 29th thru Dec 8th!!! This will be our 3rd trip between Thanksgivng and Christmas. The decorations and Christmas activities are the main reason we go during that timeframe. The crowds are not as light as they used to be but are still very manageable.
We were considering taking a year off but just like jennapens, we received the code and booked!:santa:

We are going a week later, the 19th-27th and I'm scared :scared1: by your comment about the heat....is it really hot? Are we talking sunny days or Africa-hot? Do you know when the temperature starts to come down?
I must say that I'm really jazzed about getting to try the F&W fest, but I can't deal with serious heat and humidity....

Haven't gotten the code (yet), but I love going in Dec. and my son's b'day is 12/16, so that's our week, and it's a code week, so still waiting.

We're going Sept 24-30th. We had booked a free dining bounceback at POFQ, but used the code to upgrade to BWI. We chose this week because my son will be on break from school (so the kids can go stay with my IL's) and our AP expire on Oct 2nd.

Used it first to book my birthday trip in September. As soon as I heard the dates I called and voilą I had a pin. Then I convinced DH to go the first weekend in March to celebrate his birthday a week late. The week of his birthday wasn't covered.

We will be there Sept 20th-27th. Celebrating our anniversary (2 weeks early, but we can't travel the actual week of our anniversary). We chose the date because it's close to our anniversary and we've never been at that time of year before.

Hi, I have a question. I recieved a 40% off in the mail. I have no idea what I did with it. If I call, do they have a record of this, or am I out of luck. I've read where others call to check if their is a code under their name.
Thanks for your help.

Oh yeah, it's definitely hot and humid. :cool1: But the weather there isn't that drastically different than from where we live, so we don't mind. I am not sure you can count on getting fall like weather with some cool downs until much later. :confused3

We are going Nov 15th - 21st. This is earlier than we usually go..do you think they will have any Christmas decorations up yet? They should be starting the Christmas parties that week so I am hoping!!
We are staying at the Poly..Magic Kingdom view. We usually stay at the Comtemp...the view is awesome there. Is the MK too terribly far away from Poly? Will I be disappointed?

Both, my cousin and I got the 40% code postcard and since we were already planning to go back in September, we booked.
Animal Kingdom Lodge, Savannah View!
We are going from September 9-13th. We like going the week after Labor Day. The crowds are low. Normally they offer Free Dining during this time, which we're still holding out hope for and the heat doesn't bother us since we're from Louisiana, we're used to it.

I would definitely call and explain the situation. They will probably have record of the pin under your name. Good Luck!:wizard:

We stayed at the POLY for the first time from Nov 19-25th. This was also our first time going to DIS that time of year and we went to our first MVMCP. The decorations were just starting to go up at the resort, but because of the party the MK was decorated. Other parks were decorated some too, I'm not sure if to the full extent. I've got quite a few pics on my TR if you want to check it out. Oh, also as far as the distance to the MK from the POLY--it is really great because not only can you use the resort monorail to get to MK (by stopping at the GF first) but the TTC is also within walking distance so you are just a quick hop from the direct monorail, ferry, and the EPCOT monorail. Also, the POLY has a boat launch to MK too! Lots of options. Check out the POLY thread over on the Resort section. They got all the dish on the POLY!

We're going November 26 to December 6 and staying at POR. This will be my 5th trip for this same week. Our family loves Christmas. Going to Disney this time of year just makes Christmas more magical. The decorations are beautiful and puts you in the spirit for Christmas.
While I haven't booked it yet, we are thinking of a visit from 9/26-10/3/09 for the beginning of F&WF--never been but always wanted to go. With the pin, it makes it more enticing even though we are already going in May.
As to our resort choice, we're undecided--either YC, BC or BWI if we feel like spending the extra $$$ or CBR to save some $$$--not sure yet. We will most likely book it and wait out flights. If we can get a good rate on those then we will go and if not, we'll cancel. :thumbsup2
Frankly, I was very surprised that the EPCOT resorts had such great availability for F&WF--usually they are booked early for the event. :confused3

Have you stayed at any of the EPCOT resorts before? Do they feel really far removed after staying at the POLY? I'm sure they must have a different feel to them. Trying to decide whether we should try one or wait until DD is a bit older. Hmm...decisions, decisions! We too want to try to go during the food and wine festival-first time for us too. Now, to convince the husband...

Thanks!

Yes, we have stayed at all three of the EPCOT resorts before during various visits, but our primary hotel has always been the Polynesian. If I had young children, I would find the EPCOT resorts less convenient because of the proximity to MK and the need to bus there. Since our kids are older (and we don't do MK that often), we stay at the Polynesian due to our love of it! :lmao: For our money, the Polynesian has the best transportation options AND great CMs, not that there aren't wonderful CMs at the other resorts as well.
For this stay, I know my husband and I would be focusing on EPCOT and one of the EPCOT resorts would be a great fit. At this point it is just a matter of whether we want to spend the extra money for the convenience of YC, BC, or BWI or save a large chunk of change by staying at a moderate and be a little less accessible to EPCOT. We really do hate the busses. . .and we don't want to rent a car and drive while on vacation.
I'm with you--decisions, decisions. . . :confused3

If you can't deal with serious heat and humidity DON'T GO!!! We went the end of Sept. 2007. Never been to Africa, can't imagine it's hotter. It was like vacationing on the face of the sun.

We are going Sept 26-Oct 3. I love this time of year. Lower crowd levels. F&W festival and MNSSHP. I'm not crazy about the heat or the humidity but that just means we have an excuse to take pool breaks.
Have fun!

We will be at the Poly Lagoon View Club Level from November 29 - December 6! I'm so excited that the Xmas decorations will be up. We were there Jan 5-12 2008 and it got me more in the Christmas spirit than I was BEFORE xmas.
I'm so glad I can get all the Christmas-y fun and then come home and be totally in the holiday mood!
I couldn't have done it without the 40% code!

DH and I have been planning to go back to WDW in the Fall of '09. I wanted to go in Oct. - better for my work schedule and not so HOT. DH found good flights for us, but only in Sept. So we booked 10 nights at ASMu at the AAA rate. We were satisfied with $787. But less than a week later we got a 40% code, so we switched to POFQ for $220 more.
In 2005 and 2006 we went to WDW for free dining. Those trips were planned around that offer. This trip just happened to fall in an eligible time period. Now I have to figure out what we will do when/if FD is offered again.
