First let me say :disrocks: I only joined a few months ago when I started planning our very first trip to the most magical place on earth! You guys are the BEST group of people.:wizard: Spreading pixie dust all around from Disigns for tee shirts to helping to map out days in the parks. I just love it!!!:grouphug:
Okay, so this is going to be a very challanging trip for me some off you may already know my husband can't get time off work to come so we are leaving him behind. 8 days with the kids and no dad that could be a mistake I can already see now what they will get away with!!!:scared1: I have decided to bring my mother with me to be a help with 4 kids. Yep 4!!
DD13, DD12, DS8, DD6, see what I mean 3 girls and only 1 boy. I could be in trouble, DRAMA is in store for sure.:scared:
Oh did I mention my mom (who I love very much) can tend to drive me Crazy! She a riot though, have you cracking up one minute and pulling you hair out the next. Oh and let me mention that she like to spend a lot of money and I mean my money after she spends all of hers, so with that said I will be budgeting her along with the kids each day.
Let me introduce you to the kids!:cheer2:
First up this is the oldest her name is Cory. She is a DRAMA Queen! Likes to keep the other kids in line commando style. At the same time she is very helpfull, sweet, and caring.
http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/qq131/kmshaw79/coryann-kissescam049.jpg
Next we are on to number 2 we will call her Shy beings she is pretty shy and she is a good kid. She get straight A's and is very clever. I think is likes to hide things though or she is just a very good finder!:rolleyes1 Things seem to come up missing then Shy seems to always be the one to find them a couple days later. It very strange and I mean like keys, school ids, Nintendo Ds's, get my point. She is a tom boy for the most part but like the girly things too.
http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/qq131/kmshaw79/summer007.jpg
Next on the list is going to be Trevor. The best kid most of the time. Poor boy lives with all girls except Dad who works alot. they put him through a lot. He doesn't complain much goes with the flow.
http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/qq131/kmshaw79/Random649.jpg
Last but not least Jersey. Now she is sooo much like the first DD13. Which means they don't like each other very much. When havack happens it is always those two going at it. Yep a 13 year old and a 6 year old. Belle is very cute but :rolleyes1 okay she is a Monster!!
http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/qq131/kmshaw79/Random648.jpg
So there are my wonderful kids and you can see I have my hands full so WDW without dad could be trouble.:sad2:

To sum it up I love my kids ofcoarse and they are my life!:lovestruc We had booked a Disney trip in 2006 and had to cancel because my husband had a mild stroke and some issues with money so that was the end of Disney dream. So we decided to plan for 2009, which ofcoarse I did! April26-May3rd. We will be Grand Gathering with two other families. When my husband told me he could not go those days (after we already booked) I said then we will be going without you. After all we cancelled once because of him right!!?? Plus we planned with two other families and we are not going to rearrange their schedules. He is okay with it. I almost think he is happier now hen when he was going. After all hes not the amusment park type of guy. Doesn't like rides, heat, or walking!:confused3 But he will miss seeing the kids reactions, so he went and bought me a new camcorder to tape it all. Oh and let me show you what we will bring with us!
http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/qq131/kmshaw79/flat009.jpg
Yep!! I made a Flat Standley of him, because he says he wants to eat dinner and take pics with his family. I need to try and fix his head still, can't seem to get it the right size. I guess that means he will be at Disney after all.:woohoo: So when one of the kids get out of line I will pull him out of my fanny pack and make them carry him around. Punishment thats right the one who has to carry around dad will look like a fool!!:rotfl:

So we will be staying at POP Century doing the buy 4 get 3 free. Man that is a good deal, so we added the regular dining plan. One sit down meal, one quick service meal, and one snack. I can't book my dining ADRs until January 24th I think it is, but I do have two Grand Gatherings and a Chef Mickey's booked so far. We will be doing the Safari Celebration and the Good Morning Character breakfast. As for Chef Mickey that will be a dinner. The other reasurants I would like to book is Ohanas, Crystal Palace, Akershus Royal Hall, we will do T-Rex, and I was thinking about Le Cellier.
As for our park days heres what I'm thinking so far:
Day 1- Arrive at POP check in eat luch at resort, unpack then off the Magic Kingdom for EMH. Cryastal Palace for dinner.
Day 2- Animal Kingdom for rope drop. Lunch at Flame Tree, explore Discovery Island, and Africa, and maybe the conservation station on this day. Then go to DTD for shopping and dinner at T-Rex.
Day 3- Epcot all day! EMH till Illuminations it will be a long day. Akershus for lunch and Sommerfest for dinner.
Day 4- DHS for rope drop. We will do two quick service meals this day maybe Toy Story Pizza and Flat Bread Grill? We want to see Block Party Bash and Fantasmic!:thumbsup2
Day 5- Animal Kingdom again this is our Grand Gathering day so we will explore Dinoland and Asia before checking in. Dinner at Tusker House.
Day 6- Magic kingdom dinner at Chef Mickeys
Day 7- Magic Kingdom again Good Morning character breakfast at Tony's Town Square.
Yes we are doing Animal Kingdom 2 days! I've heard from different people that AK is a 1 day park. We are zoo folks and really like the animals. I want to take my time going through this park. So I figured if I just did Africa and Discovery in one day and Africa and Dino in the 2nd we would see everything.
As for MK we are going 3 days! Day 1 train to Frontier Land and do Adventure land also that day. The 2nd day we will do Liberty Square and Fantasy land. The 3rd day will be Tommorrow land and Toontown. I think we should be able to see all!!

Hi! You most definitely are brave taking your 4 kids without your dh! :worship:

I love your "flat dh" that you'll be bringing along! :rotfl:

I've never heard of the good morning character breakfast at Tony's Town Square. I'll have to look into that.

Can't wait to hear more. :goodvibes

The character breakfast at Tony's is a Grand Gathering. I was suprised after hearing that Tony's Town Square no longer does a breakfast, but I guess only for Grand Gathering. Thanks for stopping by.:cool1:

2 months ago I had started making shirts from the disigns I got from other dis-members. Thank-You sooo much:grouphug: I had decided to make front and backs of each shirt, probably not such a good idea beings I was making 8 shirts per person. Yes 6 people = 48 shirts front and back!:scared1: Which is okay but have only made about half and I already use 4 or 5 printer inks and dozens of transfer papers. Both light and dark transfers. Here are just a few I have made so far. Notice DH is on the yellow safari shirts so thinking of redoing those.

I'm trying to convince myself I don't need to do front and back of each shirt its just a waist of money that could be going towards Disney!:rolleyes1 Let me tell you I have messed up alot of shirts with puting names upside down and burning the transfers and other stupid mistakes. My DH thinks I'm crazy, he'll just say "take a break from shirts" and I'll say "no I want to get them done" then right after that I'll mess up 2 in a row. Oh well the kids just use them to sleep in now they love them. My DS even wore one to school the other day without me knowing, when he got home I was sooo embarest because it was one that I spelled his name wrong on!!! I know bad. Not only is it spelled wrong but it was missing a letter and the R was backwards. I know his teacher was thinking what the!!:confused3 Anyways I try to be more carefull plus the disigners have new bubble character names which I've decided is better then the iron on felt letters. I will post more pics tomorrow.

Wow! I can't believe how many shirts you've made/are making! :worship: They look great!

Do you just print out the graphic onto special iron transfer paper and then iron? If I wanted to just make 5 shirts, would it be a fairly inexpensive and easy project?

We are staying at OKW.

Great shirts; I don't have the patience to make them and while I think that the group would wear them for a night; I definately couldn't get them to wear matching or even coordinating shirts for the entire trip!

I buy most of my shirts from Micheal's Crafts and they are usually 2 for $5.00 and they are comfortable!! The transfer papers which I also buy from Micheal's are the cheapest priced I've seen the light transfers are 10 for $10 and the dark transfers are 5 for $10. I love the dark transfers they look great. The light transfers can only be used if you have white or pastel color shirts plus you have to mirror the image or flip it because it will need to be printed backwards. Here are some pics of shirts with the light transfer on darker shirts. They kinda look like vintage material.

Trying to budget my kids. I live about 45 minutes away from a Disney store and have been there quite a few times buying gift cards and disney dollars for my kids. I also went to Big Lots and bought some index card holders for them to store them until we go. So for X-Mas I gave them each a small bookbag for the plane with activities such as magnetic play sets for the two little ones, sun glasses, disney pens, journals, well each bookbag had a disney envelope with $30 in disney dollars and my sister gave each kid a $25 dollars gift card. For each birthday they got a $25 dollar gift card, and they have been earning the rest of their disney dollars on odd jobs chores.....
Well I should say Coryann has been making alot of money, as for the rest they will be mad when she has lots of spending money and them not so much. Lazy kids. I've told them many times already I will buy their Mickey ears and some candy at Goofy's candy store, plus Build a Dino at T-Rex, so other than that they are on their own. I just counted and guess Cory is not that far ahead! She has $107 all together so far, Shy has $95, Trevor $86, and Jersey is at $83.
Anyways I'm trying to decide how much money I should let them bring into the parks each day. Their two $25 gift cards will be for DTD for shopping that day. I was thinking $15 a day into the parks should be good for them or is that not enough? After all they are only kids and don't need to buy for other people as I will take care of that. Any advice on that subject.:surfweb: I thought I'd submit another photo. So you can visualize.

Sounds like they're making quite a nice little amount for themselves. :thumbsup2

I don't really have any advice. We don't buy a lot of souvenirs and I never really give my kids any money to spend per se. On the last trip we did buy them the light sabers and I bought them each a stuffed animal. I think that was about it (their grandparents got them some pins as well).

I would think $15 a day would be plenty - especially for the younger ones.

01-12-2009, 03:21 PM
Thanks I thought that should be plenty but wasn't sure ofcoasre because I've never been. Remember with DH not going I'm sure they will think that I'll give in and give them more $ those sneaky children of mine.
Like the other day my mom who will be coming to Disney with us told Trevor to do something (not sure what because she was babysitting them) and he could make a couple of disney dollars. Well he told her "we will already have $270 dollars to spend" WHAT who in the world told him that!! I believe I've told them about a million times what you earn is what you'll have besides the money they got for b-days and x-mas. What a riot he is!:lmao:

While I'm writing out day plans I'm wondering if 3 days at MK is to many. Should we do 2 days at MK and 2 Days at Epcot? After all it will be Flower and Garden Festival so....a lot to see. :confused3 I know I would spend more money going through the worlds though.????

carissanboys

Personally, I'd do two at MK and two at Epcot. There's A LOT to see in the World Showcase, but then there's also Future World.

I think your probably right:thumbsup2 I should talk it over with my Grand Gathering partners. Who by the way are supossed to be writing on here too... but they are procrastinators which I guess is why I'm the planner!!?? I feel like going clearance shopping right now. My favorite thing to do lately. I have bought the kids so many pairs of shorts for $3 dollars a pair. Disney crocs for $7.50 and disney pjs for $5.00 and its addictive. Been about a week or so and I'm feeling ready to see just what I can find. I think what I still need to get for disney is Coryann 3 pairs shorts or capris, new swim suit, and a pair of crocs. Shy needs swim suit, and 2 pair shorts. Trevor needs 1 pair shorts, 1 pair pjs, and something else I can't remember right now, Jersey needs 2 pairs pjs, and maybe a new swim suit. I need a few pairs short/capris, a new swim suit for sure, I would like a new pair sun glasses, and a new pair of crocs. DH needs to let me shop. Plus its time to go back to Disney store!!:woohoo: I think I'll get my mom and myself some dollars this time.

My husband and I had been talking a while back about how to get to the airport. I have a mini van, but if my husband drove all 6 of us we would not have room for luggage.:confused3 If I drive myself to the airport it will cost around $18 to park per day = 8 days. That will be around $145 plus gas (about 60 miles) each way. So anyways my husband mentioned taking a limo to the airport.:sad2: The kids heard and ofcoarse were histatic. My Jersey 6 years old says "a limbo I never rode in a limbo before" so needless to say they all want to ride a "limbo". Jersey is so scared to ride the plane btw none of my kids ever rode a plane and Jersey is just scared to death. I try to reassure her that its much safer than driving but instist that flying is much worse saying "but a plane blows up when I crashes".:scared1: So maybe driving a limo to the airport will make a plane ride so much better:thumbsup2 I called around yesterday to get pricing on limos and heres what I came up with. One place said they have strech limo but may not be able to fit 6 people with all our suitcases so they would send a town car behind with the luggage. That would total to be around $480 round trip:eek: $270 for the limo(round trip) and $210 for our luggage (round trip). They then offer a party bus that could hold up to 15 people (if Dawn and her family want to ride with to airport) plus luggage for ONLY $625 round trip!:scared: So as I'm getting discouraged:guilty: I decided to call 1 more place and they tell me they only carry the strech Lincoln Navigators, that can hold up to 14 people. The round trip to the airport and pick up is only.....................:rolleyes1

$275 yes $275 and that is round trip!!!:cheer2: She then tells me if you want real early or real late it would be an extra $15 dollars. So what I think $15 dollars ain't xxxx. And remember its the Lincoln Navigator (I took to the airport before with 12 friends) its so nice and the kids would be in heaven. Little Jersey the monster she is would be in heaven:cloud9: not only a limbo but a huge limbo, with lights and mirrors and pop and music! So I think that the idea for now! Then Dawn says well we don't know if we'll have the same flight, I'll be booking mine this week and she's not sure yet for her so didn't think how it would work if we were on different times. Then I think well even if we were a couple hours different it is still a ride to the airport in a LIMBO and could wait a couple hours. Right!!?? So anyways its one more way to make our Magical vacation just that much more Magical:rolleyes1

The limo is a great idea, esp. if Dawn will join you! We used to take use a car/limo company but instead of a limo, we would get a passenger van. They were cheaper than the limo and still plenty of room for the 6 of us w/ luggage (on average golf clubs, 11 suitcases, 6-8 carry on type bags/suitcases)

Kim and I have been friends since Jr. High. She moved in next door and we became friends quickly. I have always told her that I liked being her friend because she is more outgoing(I tend to be more shy) and she always had something exciting going on. There was a period where we went our separate ways and lived our lives but we have been hanging out again for the last 2-3 years. Our families have done alot of things together the last couple of years including Wisconsin Dells(with the men) and we took a mini trip to St. Louis. Now everytime I go somewhere the kids ask,"Are Kim and her kids going with us?" They like playing together, especially her youngest and my youngest.
Here are a couple pics from St. Louis. we went to the Arch and City Museum.

The two oldest (Corey and Cory) fight all the time, I think its a love hate type of thing. Sheyann and Robert are good buddies remember Shy is a tomboy. Jersey and Chanelle are just to funny best friends one minute and not so much the next. Here is a pic of Jersey when they were having a spat. You can see Chanelle in the back round not caring that Jersey is ready for world war!

Is T-Rex on the dinning plan yet (I see you can book through Disney)? WHEN is the MAY calander going to come out!!!!:scared: How long before your flight does the Magical Express bring you back to airport? Are there surrey bikes at POP? OK I finally got my computer back, since we came down this weekend. I was going to call you today (Monday), but they put Christian in the hospital. He has pneumomia, in both lungs, so I will try either tomorrow or whenever they let him out.
Ok so now that I have found this post, which I could remember the name of so it took me awhile, we can have all three sides.
Those shirts look great by the way, and that flat stanley is sooo cute. And yes everyone she already said that we really do have to eat dinner with it. But its cool, since mine is gonna be all alone. Alright well I will call you as soon as I can.

I have decided I need to do what is going to be best for my family's needs and wants! :rolleyes1 So I will start posting each day 1 by 1, and you both can decided which days we will be together and which days we will part. Dawn called Disney to change some things on her reservation and asked once again about Grand Gathering and to make sure we will all be close together on the resort, so we can always hang out after the parks with the kids at the playground or pool if we do not stay together in the parks. The first thing I should tell you is that I cancelled the Grand Gathering on that Sat and changed Chef Mickeys to that morning instead.:scared: Sorry!!! Heres why, Dawn is going for sure now!!?? And she is probably going to have to take off the dining plan:sad2: and I'm not sure that using two meal tickets on 1 event may not be such a good idea with not having the deluxe dining plan. Also Sat is my mom's 3rd year anniversary of sobriety and Chef Mickey's is going to celebrate that for us!:upsidedow Okay ready to hear what time Chef Mickey's is for? pixiedust:

:lmao: ......7:00a.m yes that early!!:crazy2: Sorry again you can take it or leave it. I just wanted to be able to make rope drop at the Magic Kingdom that morning and plus I figured it will be our last day at Disney and want to get a full days worth in. I haven't cancelled AK Grand Gathering yet but think I am because of the 2 meal credit thing. Let me know what you think about that. If you are really against it then I will keep it but if it doesn't really matter then I will cancel it. Let me know how much $ you need in Disney Dollars and I will get them for you, I could either send them or give them to you in Disney.

Okay I'm going to post day 1 today! I don't think I'll have time to posts more until tomorrow.

Last I knew (when I checked last week), T-Rex Cafe was NOT on the dining plan and you had to call their restaurant directly to make a reservation.

Disney World has just changed their web site, and they have T-Rex down as making ADRs with the Disney Dining number!?:confused3 I guess I will try on Monday the 26th when our 90 day window is!!!:cheer2: Thank you

Okay here goes day 1 plans for the Shaw family. :mic: I call it that because I've been trying to plan with you both and not getting to far so I planned for my family and you guys can do what you want and plan your days according. I Love you guys!!!!!!:goodvibes

Magical Express to POP by 2pm. Check in then eat lunch while waiting for our room to be ready. Unpack and freshen up! Grab our sweatshirts (if needed)and head to MK. There will be EMHs that night and will be open until 1am I figure we should be at MK by 5pm, I'm going to start our first day in MK by taking the WDW Railroad to Frontierland. People may think I'm crazy:rolleyes: but I don't want my kids to really see the castle that 1st night beings we will be getting a late start and will be getting dark soon there after. Plus I want to do every nuk and crany in the MK and if we focus on one or two areas each day we can achieve this!!:drive: I've also heard that MK should not be done 1st because the other parks will not measure up and we will be doing MK 3 days but not again until day 5 so I'm also trying to keep the peace as far as whining to go to MK everyday.:scared: With that being said!!!!:mic:
So once in Frontierland we will get FP for Big Thunder Mountain and head to Tom Sawyer Island while waiting for our FP window. Go back to Big Thunder and ride. Next ride Splash Mountain, get FP if line is to long.:crazy2: If Splash Mountain is a breeze then ride and head towards Adventure Land and get FP for the Jungle Cruise. Ride Pirates, Tiki Birds, Alladin Carpets, then go to Jungle Cruise for our FP window. By this time it should be around 8pm and we will go to Crystal Palace for dinner. Watch "Wishes" from behind the Crystal Palace!pixiedust: After that I will leave it up to the kids to either go back and redo Adventure and Frontier Lands or head to Liberty Square and Fantasy Land. If going towards Fantasy Land then we will FP Peter Pan then ride Haunted Mansion, "its a small world", Mickey's Philhar Magic, then back to Peter Pan for FP.
Although I said I'll leave it up to the kids I'm more leaning towards going back to Adventure and Frontier Lands to redo. Only because I really think once they see the rest of the park they will want to ride everything and want to go back the next day (which is AK day). Either way take the WDW Railroad back out then to resort to sleep. As a travel day I'm sure the kids will be Very tired and cranky by late and we have AK EMHs the next morning.
So like I said you can take what you want and leave what you don't, all in all we will be at DISNEY and it will be fun either way!!!!:grouphug: Let me know how you feel about these plans and let me know who wants to eat at the Crystal Palace so I can book that way. Also I booked Chef Mickeys for 14 people let me know if your family will not be attending so I can take those seats off I won't want to hold seats away for other Disney goers.:)

I have enough time to write day 2 before getting ready for work. As you guys know AK has EMHs this Monday morning and I'm so excited to do AK. My family just Loves animals and going to the zoos.:cool1:
7:45am is rope drop and I don't want to miss this. Once in the park we will head to the safari to ride first, but I will run to Everest to get FP before hand. After we ride the safari, we can explore the pangani forest. Back to Everest for FP window, ride Kali River, explore the Jungle Trek, go get FP for Dinosaur, ride Primevil Whirl, Nemo Musical at 11:30am, go to Dinosaur for FP window, ride Triceratop Spin. Eat lunch at Flame Tree. Go get FP for Tough to be a Bug, character landing, Festival of the Lion King show is at 2pm we need to be there by 1:20pm to get a seat. After the show go for FP window for Tough to be a Bug. Last let the kids play at the Boneyard to blow off some steam and redo what kids really liked before heading out. Jammin Jungle Parade at 4pm if we want before leaving.
Return to POP to swim for an hour then freshen up for DTD for this evening, shopping and dinner at T-Rex. I think we should do dinner first then shop so we can walk off the fat. :rotfl: Plus the kids will be hungry after swimming.
So there are my plans for day 2! I know we are all doing dinner this night together but just let me know around what time you guys want to eat.

A question for everyone who has been to Disney! For emh hours are all the snack carts and quick service places still open unitl closing? I'm trying to finish planning my days and something I need to know.:confused3 I also need to know if street venders accept Disney Dollars? Is T-Rex on the dinning plan yet (I see you can book through Disney)? WHEN is the MAY calander going to come out!!!!:scared: How long before your flight does the Magical Express bring you back to airport? Are there surrey bikes at POP? (I thought I read that somewhere) plus I have a million other questions that I can't think of right now!!pirate: I would LOVE some input anyone Please!!:bitelip:

Not all the QS and snack carts are open. In fact, many of them do close. In MK Casey's and Ice cream parlor are open and Cosmic Rays is still open. Pinochio's I know is closed.

Street vendors do accept Disney Dollars.

May calendar probably not coming out until February. - I know, stinks, right?

Your Magical Express bus will be scheduled to pick you up approx. 3 hours before your flight. Last year we were told that one stops every hour (at OKW, I believe it was 1:45, 2:45, etc) so with that info we opted to take the one an hour later since we didn't want to wait so long at the airport, but check at the hotel to make sure this is still the case if you think 3 hours is too long.

Ok, I just checked the boards, from the hospital.:sad2:
As far as the Grand Gatherings I think thati would be best to cancel them since they use 2 credits, especially with Jesse being layed off:rolleyes2 . As a matter of fact he and I were just talking about this before he left tonight, Day 1 works good for us, because he still wants one day for recreation. So i figure one of the MK days we will do that. My plans are going to have to be little different from everyone elses anyway since my kids are so small.
And as far as the AK Grand gathering go ahead and cancel because we can do a safari anyway, just not with the meal. And Chef Mickey's that time is fine with me, and then off to MK is cool since we will get a full day there.:moped: (Christian wanted me to use that one). Now i just need to figure out what my kids can and can't do.:happytv:

Michelle I have all the info you need to know!:goodvibes I just need to know how tall your kids are (not how many remote controls high):thumbsup2 and I'll let you know. I also have all the info on times and places for all the charaters, plus I have all the show times for all the shows. I've been doing my homework!! It helps I have a secret planner helper!!!:rolleyes1
Thank-You secret planner helper!!:grouphug:
So your planning on doing the first night with us for sure? Crystal Palace too? Chef Mickey's is a go head with your family?! Dawn said she thinks 7am is to early but I say its vacation!! Get your xxx up and get going, I'll be out and about early every morning!!!:moped: (that one is for Christian):wave2: BTW do you plan on pre-ordering the photopass?
I almost forgot what about day two? You are going to DTD with us for T-Rex? What about AK, I can let you know what you can do with the kids while we ride the big rides. You know you can do the rider swap so you can ride with us!?

Guerrero2915

Well there is no remote here in the hospital so I can not measure him like that anyway.;) . When we mesured them last at the game place Faith just at 40 inches and Christian was just under. But when the lady at the game place did on a different measuring sign, she got Faith at about 39 and Christian was 38 so we are going to have to do it again, but I am going to go with 40 for each of them. If I have to I will buy shoe lifts for them.:rolleyes2.
As far as the first night yes that is good with us, I figure that the first and last night especially we could hang out. Since we have not seen each other in ten years and who knows how long it will be until we see each other again.;)
As far as Chef Mickey's no that is not too early, it's Disney World!!:hyper:
So far I think that we are going to AK with you, cause he is not telling me anything anyways. But when things change he is like, "why are we doing that now", so what do you do!?!?!?!:scratchin
And for Disney Dollars he said 100 and we will just get them there that way they don't get lost in the mail and you and us are not out that money. ust let me know what I owe you for it and i will pay you back. And yes Jesse will be watching the kids while I ride the rides.

littleboss

Okay $100 is good, and its dollar for dollar so $100. If your kids are 40 inches they can do almost all the rides Michelle. Hold on a minute!:hourglass

littleboss
01-21-2009, 09:49 PM
Okay at AK they can do everything at 40 inches except Expedition Everest and Primevil Whirl. If Christian is only 38 inches he also can't ride Dinosaur. But everything else is a go!

Ok. Ive been crunching numbers here deciding if I want the dining plan or not. Its 693 for the quick service or 917 for the regular. If I get the regular, I have to pay a tip everyday, If i get the quick I get a refillable mug, 2 snacks and If I add in TREX, Chef Mickeys and Boma, (pay out of pocket) I would be just a little more than the 917. I am leaning towards getting the quick service, My kids will still be happy, the still get to go to TREX and a character meal. What do you guys think???????

At MK they can ride everything except the following are 40 inch requirment, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Stitch's Great Escape!:cool1: So not too limited there either. I'm getting so excited and can't wait until April. I woke up yesterday morning and was so happy and I woke Bryant up and said "I had a dream I was in Disney and it was FUN!" and he said so what!!!:lmao: Not like he really cares hes not going, I keep forgeting. 6 or more people and the gratutity is added in automatically. But, of course, even less than 6 people you're going to tip at every TS meal. :thumbsup2

Sorry I meant you can tip what you can afford and not 18 to 20%. So even if you tip $5.00 its not that bad. You can plan for your tips instead of wondering what your bill is going to be for each place.

I want to do Future World for most of the day and eat lunch at the Electric Umbrella (counter) then around 2:30pm-3pm go towards Worlds on let the kids do the Kim Possible Missions and just check out the Flower and Garden Festival. I'll try and make my ADR for Spoodles for around 6:45ish. Walk to the Boardwalk for dinner and check out the entertainment on the Boardwalk. Back to Epcot for Illuminations at 9pm. I have it all mapped out with details and character spots, I'll post details when they are all done with real ADRs.

I think your friend meant that even with the ts dining plan she would have to pay a tip in addition to the $917 as opposed to the cs dining plan where she wouldn't have to factor in tips for any of those.

My kiddos are much smaller than your friend's (I'm hoping DD will be 35" to get on Barnstormer!) but there are lots of things to keep them occupied while others ride the bigger rides or if there is a show that the older kids aren't interested in, maybe that is when they can do those rides while the kids see a show. In AK, the dino dig area is a great area; I'm going to let DD and DS do this. This would be a great way for them to spend some time while others ride Dinosaur!

Yes I understand! Heres were I'm coming from, if your going to get the CS plan and still pay for TS meals then why not just get the TS plan. Besides that her kids CAN EAT. I think all in all she will be buying more food than she is planning. She is leaning for the CS plan because of extra snack and refillable mug. The mug is nice but it only cost $12 per person but you only really need one or two, and it only be good at the resort just another thing to carry around the parks beings we don't have a stroller. Also the days we eat table meals together as a group we can split the tip 3 ways.

As for the Dino dig area I've hear some very good things about it.

The Magic Kingdom will be having two new shows or entertainment I should say. Stitch's Supersonic Celebration which will be in Tomorrowland (street party) and Move it! Shake it! Celebrate it! My daughter has a tumor in her foot and has been in quit a bit of pain these last couple of days. So I call the Ortho doctor who said "Sheyann has a tumor in her left foot but it doesn't look cancerus so lets not mess with it unless its really bothering her" I should have gotten a second doctors look at that time but didn't, anyways I call him and say she really having issues with this foot and her ankle is starting to swell. They say he will not see her (I have a different insurance now) and she needs to go to a children specialist at the Univeristy of Chicago. Find its about an hour drive but a specialist is good right!?:scratchin Yes its good if you want to wait a month to see a doctor I mean the girl is in pain (shes only 11 years old) should I tell her to just relax and deal with it?!!:confused3 Maybe I should just take her into the ER and see what they can do.? Yea, I am leaning towards getting the quick service, because I do know how my kids CAN EAT....... Heres how I look at It, if I get the regular, then I KNOW I will have to buy more snacks and drinks throughout the day PLUS add in a tip for 7 days which will add up to well over $900 and if I get the quick, I get 2 meals, 2 snacks, and Mug for each(we dont like to drink off one another) plus 2 sit down meals which will be the $900. I havent made my decision yet but I am going to make some reservations on Monday and if I have to cancel then I will ASAP so another family can have it. But maybe it might turn out to be about the same amount of money and I forgot that the kids will have their own moooolllaaa so I can make them buy thier own snacks. Now that I am thinking.... almost $1000 to eat for a week!!!!! No wonder I was reading on the budget boards that some people were talking about bringing sub sandwhiches into the parks.... I know I dont want to to back to the room to eat(maybe only breakfast) so I WILL figure out what I am doing because I AM GOING TO DISNEY and I AM GOING to EAT SOME GOOOD FOOD>AND HAVE A GREAT VACATION!

Cinderella's Castle is not a buffet is it but your right they are all buffets!!:lmao: My family has Sci-Fi and its not a buffet. Is Ohana's dinner a buffet?:confused3
Well I realized that day 4 is all messed up and needs to be reworked so I'm gonna skip it and do day 5.

Ohana's dinner is not a buffet but it is a family style set menu - they bring it to your table, all you can eat, so it is a psuedo buffet!

Me and Kim went clearance shopping and Im really excited that all of the clothes that I bought for Chanelle actually fit!!! I got 2pair of Baby Phat Capris and a pair of plaid shorts all for the same price I would of paid for one of the Baby Phat!!! I think sh'e all set, I need to start buying for myself and the boys.

Monday Kim went up to the Disney store and picked up Chanelle's Belle dress with the headband and shoes!!! It is so adorable on!!! She is going to wear it to Cinderella royal table and to Akerhaus breakfast!!!

Im still waiting for my tax return so I can book my flights...Im getting on four times a day so I can get the best rate through Southwest. Time's ticking away, it will be here before I know it!! Disney World, here we come!!!

Yippie!! My trip is all paid off! Everything is booked, I was laying on the couch with my husband the other night and that was just not the norm (usually on the computer trying to plan something) and I said to my husband "I think everything is pretty much done, what do I do now?" and he replied " wait for two months" man oh man 2 months is a long time now to just wait so now I think I will just blog in here some if nowbody minds.;)
List of things I needed to do for Disney:

1. pay off trip
2. book airfare
3. book limo
4. buy summer cloths
5. get new crocs
6. save spending money
7. dress for Jersey (sleeping beauty)
8. finish shirts
9. get snacks for room
10. tip envelopes together
11. dining ADRs booked

I can't even think of what else needs to be done. Any advise from anyone on what else needs to be done?:confused3

Okay I have a question!
What is "Betty"?
I have read in a few trip reports of people drinking "Betty", I was wonding what it is.
As for me keeping up with this pre trip report its hard I just want to get there already, 2 months and 4 days to go.
Also I'm thinking about decorating my window at POP I've seen lots of pics about it and some other reviews of people thinking it trashy!:confused3 Any input or thoughts on that subject? I would like to do it but don't want to offend any other Disney goers.

Well, i think life has gotten in the way with keeping up with this pre- trip report. I have been busy with school and just everyday life. The kids are so excited they just had a week off for spring break, go to school this week and then are off again next week!! I have several appointments and school this week so that should make the time go by fast!!! I have one problem though. I need one more siutcase!!! I'll have to ask my sister to borrow one, because I don't want to dip into my spening money!!!
