I'd love to know how to get any other Disney experiences in LA. I've heard great experiences from the Adventures by Disney travelers in LA. I'm really reaching here, but can any of those experiences be done outside of ABD?

Tours of Imagineering or Disney Studios?

Nope - those are ABD exclusives. The only time the public is allowed on the lot is the Christmas sale at the studio's retail store on the 2nd weekend of December. Even then, you can't walk past the store - only up to 20 feet from the Mickey Ave/Dopey Drive sign.

There's the El Capitan (http://disney.go.com/disneypictures/el_capitan) movie theatre in Hollywood, which frequently has live preshows. The Disney Soda Fountain is next door. The El Capitan is across the street from Grauman's Chinese Theater and the Hollywood and Highland complex and Red Line subway station.

You could drive over near the Disney Studios and gaze from afar. No public tours as previously mentioned.

Just east of the studios (see map) (http://www.wikimapia.org/#lat=34.1559942&lon=-118.316896&z=16&l=0&m=h&v=2) is Griffith Park's Traveltown train museum, which also includes Walt Disney's Carolwood Pacific train museum, aka Walt's Barn (http://www.carolwood.org/WaltsBarn), which is open the 3rd Sunday of each month.

I am going to move this to our other board, and maybe you will find more info there!

Are any of the Disney Channel shows taped in front of a regular non-invitation audience? I know HM is by invite only but was wondering about the rest.

Check www.ocatv.com for Disney Channel show tickets. We have been able to get tickets to Hannah Montana (before they became private) and Cory in the House.

Wizards of Waverly place can be ordered from www.audiencesunlimited.com
