So what am I doing???

I decided to trot over to Lake Anna and get pictures of the new snow!

I didn't stay very long until my batteries died. Hopefully, after breakfast I will make it back over.

Normally, I would stay on the couch and look out at the snow but thanks to my DIS Photography Board friends, I have been challenged to get out in all kinds of weather and take pictures!:)

Update: I made it out a 2nd time. When I went over to the lake, the Akron Fire Dept was over at the lake practicing rescue so I got a few pictures of that!

So, while I'm taking the picture of the one firefighter (the one waving at me) he yells "Hi, mom". What a shock when I realized I was old enough to be his mom!:eek:

Great pictures!

It started snowing here a little while ago. (I'm in NJ.) I'm really excited to get out an take a few pictures of my own when the snow accumulates a little more.

We were supposed to get snow here in DE today but so far nothing :confused3

Nice pictures!! Here in southcentral PA we got just a bit of the "wintery mix" rain, sleet and snow. Folks north of that magical line called the PA Turnpike usually get snow and we get stuck with the sloppy mess kind of preciptation.

hope the firefighter in the water was just practicing:scared1: ..

and hope you are ready for the minus double digits they are calling for the next day or two, i won't be venturing out for photo ops in that for sure:rotfl:
don't know if you use lightroom or not but since ohio is basically gray skies all winter( maybe not as bad for your area since it's a little farther from the lake) there are some nice presets there to darken/blue the sky since "blue is pretty much none existent . forget the address but i posted it in a thread about presets.

Well, you have to know that my favorite picture is of the yellow Labby! LOL.
We are expecting snow here in the Dayton area tomorrow and Wednesday. Hoping that by the weekend, there will still be something to photograph.
The gazebo pics are really lovely as well.

i agree, the framing is great as well. i was just reading about that and it mentioned if it doesn't add to the photo don't use something to frame it( which i always feel like i need to do anyway) but i think the tree limb really does it here and points you to the steps etc in the gazebo...:thumbsup2
