OT- I'm sad... I need a bit of support

so here's the deal today is my 20th birthday..... and my closest friends are going out with other friends and not with me....some have said they are busy today... and I'm really feeling sad... I mean it's my birthday.. thank god my cousin came from Rome... I don't know... are this true friends??? I knew here on the boards I could vent, thanks guys for reading :).

Im sorry you are feeling sad - Why not go out by yourself - see where your Birthday takes you - do something you enjoy like photography or dancing. Friends arent the end of the universe - they let you down from time to time - enjoy yourself anyway! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! WHIP

I have had quite a few parties where some of the people I asked didn't show. Why not plan something on another day? I had my 20th Birthday party a week before, because i wanted to celebrate with people from Uni rather than home. Just do it on a day they can do! :goodvibes

Yes indeed your cousin came to see you enjoy your time together! :cheer2: If there is a surprise party enjoy it if there isn't enjoy what ever you decide to do!! Don't depend on your friends to make fun for you make some for yourself and if your friends do come through for you you can be happy about that if they don;t you will already be having too much fun to worry about it.:bday:

Unfortunately in life sometimes you may not get to celebrate the day on the day. I don't know how many anniversaries my husband and I have had to celebrate on a different day because of whatever.

Have a great time with your cousin and just enjoy being with yourself. Hopefully you and your friends' schedule will work out better tomorrow.
