most always soaked! Most first time riders dont know that the drop visible from the park is not the wetest or the only one for that matter. There is actually a hidden drop that soaks you.

GRRRRRR....but thanks. DD LOVES all rides, water included, so I'm trying to go to SW and IOA prepared :(

Soaked even with a poncho!!!! picture your feet stuck in a deep puddle during the ride. Take your sneakers off before hand!

This may have to be a flip flop day :)

Is there somewhere to put sneakers so they stay dry? Lockers?

Yes - they have lockers adjacent to the ride entrance. Also be aware of getting a soaking from the water cannons that other visitors operate!!

We made it through the ride, I turned to my dh and I started to say "I didnt get wet".....before I finished the sentence, I was SOAKED by the water canons!

And this would be me :)......I sure hope I can convince DD that mommy does not need to ride and she can have some quality daddy time ;)

Are we the only family in the world who didn't even get damp on this ride! I was disappointed as it was a red hot day and we wanted to cool off.

you are not!;) We've been a couple times and the first time we got soaked so I had it in my head the second time to be prepared, but hardly got wet at all, we sat in tha back first time, up front the second time, not sure if that makes a difference?

DS begged to ride early in day. I have NEVER gotten so wet. SOAKED. I could have jumped IN a pool, and not gotten that wet. It ruined our day!! I had to pay outrageous prices to buy us cheap shorts and shirts, and our shoes squished the entire day. Worse thing is, the ride was very disappointing.

Not even a teensy bit damp? :confused3 I usually get soaked as soon as I sit down because of all the water slooshing around the boat from it's previous "journeys". :rotfl:

I have exited the ride sporting varying degress of wetness - from drenched to the "I've pee'd my pants" look, but have never been so lucky to escape the water completely. :rotfl2:

We have always gotten wetter than water!

FYI - You cannot take any backpacks on the ride. You have to rent a locker right beside the entance to the ride. At least yor stuff stays dry.

If you ride in the front you WILL be soaked ~ it's the second hidden little hill that gets you, after you go down the big drop. Also, there are people waiting at the water cannons to target the dry ones, lol.

I have ridden in the very back and not gotten very wet, but the water does puddle back there. I like the seat second to the last row, no water puddling there and not too wet .

Definitely wear a poncho and sandals or crocs..

Have fun, I love that ride ♥

I presume you are talking about SeaWorld in SD's J to Atlantis. I live in San Diego; have read it several times; and have never been soaked. Just a little damp. Nothing to be worried about.
