No new job yet, but I now have the focus and plan to make it happen. Actually, I realize we're going to be ok no matter what. MB and I have been together 35 years... and we will survive. Somehow I have a feeling of.... all will be ok. Somehow. Don't exactly know why, but financially, I think we can survive and wait. I love Mary Beth, and she loves me. You all know that, but it helps me to say it.
So, it has only been about 7 weeks, but I have to come back and interact with my DISfriends. I need to do this to help myself feel good about helping others. Short of giving blood, I really don't do much else that is good for others.
Anyway, I am here and I see some new people, and I certainly see my old friends posting.
I am going to try to be measured in my participation time, and I will enjoy every moment.....
Okay... I'm now leaving this post to look for those needing assistance.

Good to have you back Rob!
I tend to be a optimistic person and not a big worrier. When I first started in engineering, gave me some great advice. He told me don't worry. 99% of all things that people worry about are for no reason. Things that have happened, can not be undone and are in the past. The future that you think will happen, rarely does. You can only control the here and now. For the most part, he has been right. This doesn't mean to be careless, just don't waste your time and energy foolishly.
It is a good thing to have a positive outlook and attitude. People like happy people, and better things tend to happen to them.
The economy will get better, it always does. That's why they are called business cycles.

Not sure if you are TOM or ROBIN, but thank you... I have come to realize pretty much all you are saying is soooo true. I like to be a happy person. So I am.

Welcome Back, Rob! Keep in mind that you have to go through hard times to truly appreciate the good ones. Everyone goes through them in life, just in different ways. We've all got a story or two to tell. Personally, we've survived various health problems, an 'outsourcing' and many other roadblocks along the way. You just gotta keep your head up and look to the future. Better times are on the way for you! :goodvibes

WOW.....that is sooo true...thanks for posting that.
Good to see you back Rob:goodvibes I do believe in the power of positive thought. I have recently made some life changes with myself...ie lost 60 pds, and I can tell you that thinking positive has made all the difference for me.
I just told myself when it got really hard....just continue on this path...all the small things that we do add up to the big stuff....AND the bumps in the road are just that bumps....don't make a mountain out of the bumps...and you'll sail over them.:goodvibes
Good luck to you.....it will all work out:goodvibes

Good to see you back Rob. My job at times makes me crazy but it scares me to death of thinking about being without it. I work for a newspaper and our sister paper has had layoffs, but none here so far. Let's pray for a big rebound in 2009!
