I finally caught up the TR. Fantastic!!
First of all, congratulation on your wedding. I had shoot a few wedding photography in my life time. I hated it. Always a lot of pressure and afraid I will ruin their moment if the pictures isn't up to the standard. Thankfully, I have no complain so far. Then again, I never charge those people a dime.
One thing I found a lot of common in all these TR. No matter how bad the situation was, people seems to end up laughing about it but only if Disney is involve. I wonder why?? Hmmm???
I am not a cruise person but I might give it a try some time in the future. I really want to get close to the Flying Dutchman. I am willing to do the parasailing just to get some bird eyes view pictures of the Flying Dutchman. However, I am so not a beach person. I grew up on a small island that was beach everywhere. I had enough of sand and sea water.
How many pictures did you took? I shot over 3,500 pictures on my 7 days Feb trip. So far, I have processed close to 500 pictures. I think 7 to 800 should be the max I can use.
Keep up the good work on your TR.

Okay so it was the last morning of the cruise and hubby and I agreed to set the alarm for 5am to make sure we got up and got ready in enough time to make our 7:15am breakfast time at Animators Palate. It was so hard getting up when that alarm went off, not really because of the hour (though that was a horrible time to be getting up) but mostly because we new it would be the last time. If I hadn't mentioned before the beds on the ship are uber comfy and I was sleeping great so I was really sad to be leaving.
So after we sleep walk ourselves through showers and getting ready we do our once over of the room to make sure we have everything and then bid farewell to it. Upon walking outside we ran into our stateroom host whom I was equally sad to be leaving. I gave him his tip envelope and thanked him a billion times over for being the best and taking such great care of us. Then we made our way down the long hallway to the elevators and over to Animators.
The air onboard the ship was bittersweet, you could tell everyone was happy to have just done the cruise but at the same time everyone seemed so sad. I was one of the sad ones.
Only three out of the six couples who made up our tablemates showed up to breakfast, the one couple like I said probably ran off the ship because she didn't want to be there and the other two I don't know what happened to them because they had said they would see us in the morning.
Now this would be the first time during the cruise that I was very disapointed in the food and the service for that matter. Everyone was so rushed and hovering over us to take our order. I know it's because they have to take care of everyone and also get ready for the next cruise but sheesh give us a minute would ya. When we figured out what we wanted and ordered, which was pretty simple food our server came back to tell hubby and I they didn't have things we wanted anymore. That was a real bummer. Needless to say what we did end up eating was bad. I had scrambled eggs that just tasted nasty and hubby and I both had pancakes that were hard and overcooked. The bacon was undercooked and even the coffee tasted like yesterday's news. It was really disapointing but we both just chalked it up to being so early in the morning and the crew being under pressure to feed everybody at different times and also get ready for the next cruise. We ended up not eating very much of the food and more or less just talking to the other tablemates about what everybody had planned after the cruise, and everyone was heading back to Orlando to enjoy Walt Disney World. We said our goodbyes and headed towards the exit, it was at this point I wanted to cry.
I snapped this pic of the christmas tree and decorations that had been put up at some point on the cruise.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%208/DSCF0270.jpg
Then I took this just before we stepped off the ship for the last time.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%208/DSCF0269.jpg
Bye Bye Disney Wonder, we had a fantastic time....
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%208/DSCF0274.jpg
So we get down to the luggage area and retrieve our bags with no problems at all and then get through security and customs and before we know it, we are back in the real world. The porters kept asking us if we needed help getting to our car but we could manage just fine and off we went.
Now this next "incident" that happened may very well make me look like the biggest B$%@H in the world but I don't really care, I'm gonna tell you what happened anyway.
As hubby and I are approaching the rental car I notice there is a lady leaning on the side of it. Now first let me say I don't lean on strangers cars no matter what, I just don't do it, it's disrepectful and there is always a 50/50 chance some kind of freak accident could happen and the person leaning on the car could cause some kind of damage, unintentionaly of course but could still happen none the less. So with that said as we approach the car I notice the lady see's us coming and when we stop at the car she can clearly tell it's ours. She makes no move to get off so I tell her "Could you please not lean on the car". She say's "Oh, sorry I have a bad knee" and then removes herself from the drivers side door area. That I figured was the end of it, but I was very wrong. So hubby and I are putting the luggage in the trunk and I'm thinking to myself if she has a bad knee why the heck isn't she sitting in her families car or leaning on there car for that matter. Then out of the blue another family member say's to my husband "Isn't that a rental car anyway?" Hubby responds by saying "Yes it is but I still have to take care of it and pay for it so having somebody use it as a cushion is kinda bothersome." Needless to say this lady would not let it go and started telling us how rude we are and how mean we are. While all this was going on between her and hubby I was still organizing the trunk of the car and really biting my lip not to get involved because it would have been very undisney like with what I had to say and since they had kids in the van I didn't want to go at with them. Finally they all piled into the van and left and we did also right after them. She proceeded to flip us off just before we lost sight of them on the road. Lovely huh? All because I asked her to get off the car.
And with that interaction behind us we headed off towards Orlando. The ride back was uneventful and pretty boring. Since hubby and I had already been up since 5am and pretty sleepy we just kinda drove in silence, each of us in our own little world.
We got back to the Orlando area a little after 10am and started to look for our next hotel to check in. It was the Best Western Lakeside. We found it pretty easy and proceded to wait about 10min at the checkin counter before anybody even noticed us. Already I was wondering about this place.
I finally said something to one of the gentlemen behind the counter that wasn't doing anything in particular if he could help us and rather reluctantly he did. He was so rude and barely said two words to us the whole time and never once did he make eye contact with either of us. At this point I was only hoping the day would get better.
So we get our room key and head off to unload our stuff, we soon realized that this guy had given us a room all the way at the back of the hotel, like the very last building. O'well whatever.
All I can say about this place was it's a good thing that DH and I are not picky people about hotels and resorts and stuff because this place was BLAH, JUST PLAIN BLAH. I figured that since it was only serving the purpose of sleeping and bathing who the heck cares anyway, I have better things to spend my money on then a five star resort even on my honeymoon. But of course that's just my opionion on the matter. Hubby doen't care either way, he can sleep anywhere, I think it's just a guy thing.
Anyway we unload all our stuff and settle in for the next four days and then we sit down and try to decide what to do for the rest of the day. I had finally been feeling better then ever since the honeymoon started and really wanted to make the most of our last few days so I suggested going back to the Magic Kingdom. Hubby was onboard even though we both really should have taken a nap instead. That would never have worked though because we were to excited to be back in the world.
So on that note off we went towards the Magic Kingdom.
Coming up next.......Zombies are walking around the Magic Kingdom.

Very happy you like my TR! :goodvibes Saying it's fantastic is quit the compliment.
It was a shame about our photographer for the wedding because when we met with him we really liked him and then on the day of the wedding he did a complete 180 and was just a turd. He never asked me if I wanted anything done with any of the photos after he took them so that's why I adjusted some to my own standards and they seriously looked better when I was done compared to what he did. Go figure.
I think it's that Disney Magic that makes people laugh off most incidents that happen when you are there. Something about that place just makes you smile and forget the bad times, at least for us it's that way.
I wish I could try parasailing but I have a fear of heights and don't think I would be able to handle it, but the view on Castaway Cay is probably amazing.
I believe we took over 3,000 photos on our trip as well but I'm not completly sure. We have not even began to develop any for our scrapbook yet, I really need to get to that in the near future.

So it was a really short drive from the hotel back to the Walt Disney World area, maybe about 10min if that and pretty soon we saw this lovely arch again.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%208/DSCF0281.jpg
It was really like driving under it for the first time again, we got all giddy and happy.
We parked the car and I made the executive decision to leave the bride and groom ears behind this time because hubby and I were to tired to fuss with them today.
While on the tram I snapped this picture.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%208/DSCF0287.jpg
I know we took the monorail to the main gate this time but we don't have any pictures from that because we used those few moments to take a power nap.
Finally making it inside the park hubby and I stood there staring at each other like well what do we do now. We really didn't have a game plan and since we had been up since 5am we were just clueless. Let the zombie walking begin.
The only thing we new for sure that we wanted to do was get fastpasses for space mountain. In the meantime we took some pictures as we just stood around.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%208/DSCF0291.jpg
As we got ready to leave the area I spotted Chip & Dale so we got in line for pictures with them.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%20Photopss%20Pics/image214.jpg
As we made our way down Main St. we stopped for some more photopass pictures but this was the only one I really liked.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%20Photopss%20Pics/image221.jpg
We headed towards our only real destination, Space Mountain and just kept snapping photos on the way.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%208/DSCF0304.jpg
We got our fastpasses and were surprised to see that we didn't have that long to wait, maybe like an 1 1/2hrs. We decided to stay fairly close to the area and just continue on our wandering.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%208/DSCF0308.jpg
I decided to head us towards Toontown in the hopes that the line for the judges tent would not be that long and we could get a picture with Mickey. I was also able to get a daytime picture of the sign.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%208/DSCF0311.jpg
Hubby and I both had to use the restroom when we got into toontown and it was while both of us were doing our business we realized that the world around us was still moving like as if we were still on the ship. I thought I was crazy when I had been in the bathroom stall and I all of a sudden stumbled because I swore it was moving back and forth. I emerged the bathroom with the weirdest look on my face because some lady nearby asked me if I was okay. I sat on a bench waiting for DH and when I did I started to focus more on the ground and sure enough I could swear that it was moving. When I saw hubby coming towards me he had a weird expression on his face as well and I new right away the same thing must have happened to him. He sat down and before I said anything he asked me if it felt like the ground was moving at all. I know there is a name for this condition and it happens to people sometimes after they get off a cruise ship but I can't remember what it's called. I don't know why it didn't happen right away but when it did kick in it was the most bizare feeling ever. We both started laughing because now we looked like tired drunk zombies walking around.

Great trip report! I also have the 'condition' where the ground keeps moving after I get off a cruise ship. I almost think it's because we adjust 'too well' to sea legs and then don't lose them when we get off the ship! In my case, this feeling lasts nearly a week after a cruise. I tried cruising only twice because of it. The first cruise was seven days and I thought the same condition wasn't likely to happen if the cruise was shorter but even on a 4 day cruise, I ended up with that odd feeling. In fact, I dislike the feeling so much I am loathe to try cruising again!

Sorry to hear about the unpleasant "incident" at the parking lot.
I know exactly what you meant about the "moving" feeling when you stand on solid ground. That happen to me whenever I sit in a car for extend period of time. I travel to NC at least twice a year. It's a 10 hrs minimum of driving. I always have a "floating" feeling the very next day. :rotfl:
Hope you still manage to have a good time at MK.

I've been on two Disney Cruises (and one RC) and I never got that feeling too bad.
I get a feeling similar when I roller skate and I like it. As someone who has never drank alcohol or did a drug, it makes me feel like I'm on drugs (if that made any sense at all) :)
I am sad to get to the end here and find out the ending is not done! Stop everything and finish!
And to Top Dog: Sir, you are not done with your TR either! Your fans are waiting Mister ! :)

That same condition happens to me when I get off a treadmill or even an escalator. I imagine I would be toast if I took a cruise.
Sorry you had to endure the nasty leaning woman. Perhaps her bum knee spread to her personality. Obviously she feels the need to spread her nastiness around. Glad to hear it didn't "stick" with you.

Yeah Grumpy McNasty was a pain in my spinkter, that's for sure!
It was seriously a sight to see about us getting our drunk on because one minute we would be standing there just fine and the next one of us would just tip over. I could only imagine what people were thinking.

I'm sorry that the weird feeling from cruising last so long with you, thankfully hubby and I only really had it bad on one day. I wonder if there is something that can be done to prevent it from happening. :scratchin It would be a shame if you don't get to go on anymore Disney cruises because of it. :sad2:

GreatBiscuit called "incident" lady Grumpy McNasty and that all about sums her up. She needed a good swift kick in the rump from Mickey Mouse as far as I was concerned. :rotfl2:
I can't believe you get that weird feeling from being in the car for a long time, that has never happened to me Thank God. We did have a good time regardless of the feeling, it was like being on our own disney ride all day.

Maybe it happened to us because it was our first cruise ever, I don't know. Either way it didn't bug us too much, we thought it was pretty funny.
And yes the alchohol and drug reference made perfect sense. :thumbsup2

Oh that would drive me batty if I felt that way after getting off a treadmill or escalator all the time. I could only imagine what the cruise would do to you if your that sensitive. :scared:
Nasty leaning woman, also know as Grumpy McNasty was in serious need of a personality check. I couldn't believe the big deal she and her family made out of it. Such a rude and ignorant bunch of people. :sad2:

I was very happy the beds were comfy also because just like you, that is my number one concern about going on vacation. 90% of the time the beds are horrid and I don't get any sleep at all. Infact we just got back from Las Vegas and the bed was awful and I ended up getting sick because I didn't get any rest. :(

So after hubby and I found out we had severe sea legs to deal with we just continued on like nothing was wrong. That was a task in it's self since we would seriously be standing still and the next thing you know one of us would tip over or stumble for no reason whatsoever. I tell ya it's a good thing I was feeling so much better at this time because had I been still very sick and on medication plus this new found dillema, I would have been toast.
Anyway we continued on with our tour of ToonTown not really intending to do much just waste time waiting for our fastpass return for space mountain. We took some random photos as we walked along.

Finally it was time to head back over to space mountain. I was beyond thrilled to not have to stand in the hallway of doom as I will call it.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%208/DSCF0321.jpg
I was not keen on the idea of having to sit tandem style on this ride, probably because I'm so used to Disneyland's space mountain being side by side seating. Something about it terrified me on here though. After watching them load and unload a few times I was feeling more and more nervous which is just stupid because I really like space mountain at home. How different could it be?
Well finally we get up to the loading area and the CM was going to give me front row. I politely declined and requested a seat in the back since I was still nervous. At least I made the people behind me happy who now got the front seat.
I won't give you a play by play of my ride experience but I will say that space mountain here is very different from Disneyland's. I have mixed feelings about it. For one thing it's really lighted in there, so much so that I could fully make out the track, at Disneyland it's pitch black. And Florida's has actual drops on the track that I totally did not expect that made me giggle and scream at the same time, Disneyland could use those. All in all it was pretty cool and I would go on it again and maybe even sit in the front seat.
After space mountain I believe we decided to head back over towards toontown to catch the train for a ride around the park since we had not done that yet.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%208/DSCF0342.jpg
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%208/DSCF0340.jpg
That was the extent of photos we took on our train ride since we ended up just putting the camera down and relaxing for awhile. It was a shame too because had we had energy there were some great photo spots. O'well.
By the time we had done several trips around the park we decided to get off the train and head over to splash mountain since it was roasting outside and we figured it would help us wake up a bit.

Hubby thought the next photo was just the cutest thing ever. Notice the bird on Brer Bear's nose and the fact that Brer Rabbit is laughing at him. It was one of those just perfect timing photos. That bird stayed put for lots of photos.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%208/DSCF0353.jpg
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%208/DSCF0355.jpg
So we headed to the line to wait I don't remember how long it was but I didn't really care at the moment. Just as we got ready to get in line some guy tapped me on the back and when I turned around he held up two fastpasses. He was not able to ride at the moment and so he offered them to me. I was thrilled and even more so when I saw the return time was for now. I thanked him profusely and we headed to the the fastpass line.
The ride woke us up alright, we ended up getting drenched. It was okay though, it felt great in the heat. I wish I had our ride photo because it was pretty funny. I have a sour milk expression on my face, probably because I was waiting for the big splash and hubby looks like a little kid with a big smile on his face. Don't ask me why we didn't buy it or take a photo of the photo because I couldn't tell ya.
Coming up later, we wander around some more of course. Did you think we actually had a plan at some point in the day? Silly DISers. :rolleyes1

Hope you guys are feeling better. How was Vegas ? Can't wait to read more of the TR.
We are feeling better, thank you. Just some sneezing still going on.
Vegas was good, the weather was great except for the last day when it got really windy and off and on rain. It was a last minute trip because hubby wanted to go to the Knight Rider Festival they had going on. He is a huge fan of the Kitt car and since they had a whole bunch of them there he wanted to see it. He actually has a Kitt car himself but he's not done working on it yet and he needs to fix the transmission on it so he wasn't able to take it to the festival, he was sad. Such a goober I'm married too, but I love him.

Great update!! I love that photo with the bird on the nose. Great catch!
From what I understand, Space Mountain will be close starting next month for renovation. Maybe they will improve the ride a bit.
I am very surprise they actually have a Knight Rider festival at Las Vega. I too also a Knight Rider fan but not big enough to build my own KITT. There is a guy here who drive around with his KITT all the time. From a distance, it looks pretty good. But when you get close to it, it isn't all that.
Here are a few snap shot when he attend the local car show. Hope your DH like them.

OK, I finally managed to catch up on this one (I think I started reading it when it was only three pages or so, and forgot about it until now.) Since I'm definitely in the "not a morning person" camp here, I can certainly relate to not wanting to get up early for any reason, rope drops or otherwise.
It was nice reading about the cruise, but I'm sorry you ran into some "incidents". Even having been on a couple of cruises (on Princess) myself, I would have to agree the pools there look rather small. Still, the Animator's Palate looks like it would be an interesting place to see...
And yeah. I think I've done the zombie walk around the park before myself. It's especially annoying when you're halfway zonked and everyone else you're with is on their first day and full of energy.

Anyway.... I think I would have liked Space Mountain a little darker, I actually like not seeing the tracks. I love roller coasters but get this wierd fear of them as I am in line or riding. Most people that have seen our honeymoon photos don't even notice the bird unless we tell them. I don't even know how hubby noticed it.
I had heard that space mountain was going into refurb for awhile and the first thing I thought of was making it darker in there, so I hope that they do.
I showed my DH the pictures of the KITT car and right away he started analyzing them to see what season dash the guy has. I swear he can stare at a KITT car for hours. Anyway he said thanks and I thank you as well.
This was the first Knight Rider Festival in Vegas ever. Hubby kinda stumbled upon it when he was looking for parts for his car. At first we were not going to go but then he changed his mind at the last minute. When we spoke to some of the guys running the festival they said that they had expected a bigger turnout and so they were not sure at the time if another festival would go on next year or not. It's an only time will tell type of thing I guess. We both thought the turnout was pretty good, there was at least 30 KITT cars on display and alot more people then I thought were there having a good time. They had celebrities from the old show and the new show there and lots of good entertainment. I think that more people would have showed up if it were not for the economy right now. It was kinda bad timing to decide to put on the festival with so many people struggling right now. I was even surprised to see how empty Vegas was on a weekend, I typically avoid Vegas at all cost on the weekends because it's so crowded. Don't get me wrong there was still a good amount of people but not wall to wall like I'm used to. We could tell that Vegas is struggling with the economy as well.
I had fun though and hopefully they will do it again next year and hubby will be able to take his car this time. As my friend keeps telling me I am now Mrs. Goober all because of a car.
Oh and we are feeling much better, thanks.

Hi, so glad you have caught up!
I think even if I hadn't been sick for most of the honeymoon I still would have had a hard time getting up in the morning also. It's weird because once I'm up and dressed it's okay but giving me that push to start the process is almost impossible.
I loved the Disney cruise but I really do think they messed up on the pools, they could have done sooooo much better with them. I'm hoping that the two new ships will have bigger pools.
I don't think I would have been a very friendly person if we had been with other people who had energy and we didn't. Thankfully hubby was in the same boat as me and we must have looked pretty bad at some times because we started to notice that people would just stay away from us and usually clear a path for us if they saw us coming so it wasn't all a bad thing. :rolleyes1
I'm caught up!!:cool1: Grumpy McNasty - What a witch, it doesn't matter if the car is a rental our not, it wasn't their car, no leaning! Sometimes a nonplanned day is good too. Just being in Disney is good.:rotfl:
Yay your caught up.....again!
I love that name....Grumpy McNasty, it's just peachy and rolls right off the tongue. I will be using it for further annoying people. ;)
I think our wandering around nonplanned day was seriously the least stressful day of the whole honeymoon. Go figure!

That's what I was hoping for in writing this TR, I really wanted everyone to see how excited I was going to DW for the first time and being able to share our experience with everyone has been fantastic.
Thank you for reading along. :goodvibes

Dear God, don't ever let your hubby get one. Talk about spending some serious money. Don't even get me started on how much money my DH had dropped on his KITT car and it's not even finished yet.
How come your hubby won't go back to Vegas? Did he have a bad time there? The guys working the Knight Rider Festival said they may or may not do it again next year, at the time they were not sure. If they do you might be able to convince him to go. Actually now is the best time to go to Vegas because as I had mentioned to someone else above they are suffering with the economy as well and have slashed prices on everything. We are actually going back in May and are going to book at room at one of the high end hotels because it's less then half the price it normally is. I will think happy thoughts that you can get him to go back with you. :goodvibes
Oh and a big hole in the track, Sheesh! Of all the things to imagine. :rotfl:

I have a wild imagination. Not always a good thing lol. :rotfl2:
Hubby was rather unimpressed with Vegas. Nothing bad really happened I guess it was just not his scene. Unless of course he has some sorrid story he is too embarrassed to tell me. For me I just want to go there at least once. I have always heard that it can be a relatively cheap vacation spot anyway so I can imagine now would be the the time to travel! We are not actually married yet so I joke often with him about running off to Vegas to be married by Elvis. At the end of the day though I know he will go with me though because he loves me dearly and likes keeping me happy. He is a good sport like that.
Oh I can imagine the cost in building a KITT. However we own a Jeep that hubby uses for off roading. Now he has owned several Jeeps but never told me Jeep must stand for just empty every pocket. Wow I thought we got off cheap when we bought it until I found out all the modifications you can and will need to do to off road. Then there is the random crap that he breaks while off roading. Like my freaking step to get in the darn thing. Can't break his step... no break the step where the woman who is 5'3 has to climb in.

Hello, nice to have you onboard!
How cool that you have a weirdo kitty like mine. She was a stray and was so goofy looking when we saw her that we couldn't resist bringing her home to stay. I love her eyes they are just the coolest thing ever. What is your kitty's name, I would love to see a picture. :goodvibes
We have a Fujifilm Finepix J10 8.2 megapixels camera. It's really no big deal but hubby is pretty darn good at taking photos so they just come out looking really good most of the time. Glad you are enjoying them so much.

Yeah I'll say you have a wild imagination.
Funny you should mention going to Vegas and getting married there because as we were driving down the strip in downtown where all the chapels are we happened to come across a couple that just got married by Elvis and they were having pictures taken with him when we drove past. It was really funny and everybody was honking at them and yelling congrats. Well it sounds like someday you will get there and I don't know what year he went to Vegas but there is seriously soooooooooo much to do there now it's almost ridiculous, so he might like it better now.
Good grief about the jeep. Thank God there is not really a high demand for off roading in CA (at least were we live) otherwise that would be one of hubby's hobbies as well. It's kinda funny about the step though, that's the kinda stuff that happens to me all the time too.

If it makes you feel better I'm not happy about our extended forcast either because my birthday is on April 8th and we are going to Disneyland and it's supposed to have scattered showers that day. Okay finally moving on with this TR.
So hubby and I leave splash mountain after getting a good drenching and we find ourselves wandering around aimlessly again. At some point in the walking we had lined ourselves up for this lovely shot.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%209/DSCF0364.jpg
At that point I had decided I wanted to head towards Pirates to see if Captain Hook and Smee were out for photos so we headed that way. While we were waiting for them to come out the Jack Sparrow pirate tutorial was going to be starting so we decided to watch that. I don't have any pictures but hubby took video. Unfortunately all our video is to long to upload. Sorry.
I gotta say though that whoever was playing Jack Sparrow did a fantastic job and looked just like Johnny Depp.
After that was over we turned around just in time to see Captain Hook and Smee messing around with the crowd. We waited in line which moved really fast and when it was our turn they were hysterical. I was talking to hubby about something and Smee had taken my hand and was trying to get my wedding ring off and I hadn't even noticed at first, sneaky little devil. Too bad the photopass guy didn't catch it. They were a hoot and so into character it was great. You can see in the picture of me and hook that I look scared, he is really intimidating if he wants to be. :lmao:

We took a couple more pictures around the area before we headed on our journey.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%209/DSCF0381.jpg
Hubby asked me if I wanted to ride Pirates again knowing full well that I didn't. Instead we headed off to the jungle cruise because we hadn't done that yet.
The line was long when we got there but since we had nothing better to do we decided to just stand in it. Hubby and I quickly realized that when standing in a narrow row of lines and going around and around and around several times, just doesn't help when you are suffering from sea legs. I think I fell over like 10 times and hubby kept bouncing off the sides of the queu line. It was very funny especially when I would catch the looks of the people around us. Hear are some photos while we waited for our turn.

I have like a billion more photos from the line but we will move on to the ride. I think we waitied for about 50min before it was our turn. It was worth it though because our guide was great, she had a british accent so right away I loved her. She was very, very funny and for the first time in a long time I laughed through most of the jungle cruise ride.
Pictures in next post.......

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%209/DSCF0461.jpg
I'm not a huge fan of the tiki room because for as long as I can remember I was always dragged into it at Disneyland and so I'm kinda just over it now. I figured on this occasion since it was hot as you know what and I was so tired we could go see it. As you can see I was ready for a mini nap.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%209/DSCF0454.jpg
Upon exiting the show we spotted that place across from the Aladdin magic carpet ride, I don't know the name but they have slushie type drinks there. We got in line and it was so yummy. Talk about refreshing.
And on that note we decided to ride the Carpets.

Those were fun, I liked how they pitch forward and how the camels spit on you. Would you believe the spinning helped us to walk straighter when we got off. :lmao:
Walking better we wandered along and I decided I wanted to get a mickey ice cream. Hubby took probably the most unflattering picture that ever was of me happily eating away.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%209/DSCF0524.jpg
Then these guys came over and noticed our Just Married pins and said to pick a song and they would play for us. Of course we couldn't think of anything to have them play so they took it upon themselves to play the wedding march. It was pretty funny and after they finished the huge crowd that had formed all clapped and yelled congrats to us.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%209/DSCF0523.jpg
We thanked them and headed off again in search of nothing in particular.

I guess you didn't have the energy to get up and dance while they played for you?
You know I haven't rode the carpets before. The tricertops spin and dumbo but for some reason I just stick the kids on the carpets and watch (or in my DH's case take off). Maybe I'll try them.
Funny that the ride "helped" your sea legs.

Oh' Lord it didn't even occur to me to get up and dance and besides that hubby DOES NOT LIKE TO DANCE! It was hard enough getting him to shake his booty on the wedding day much less in the middle of the Magic Kingdom.
It was pretty strange how the ride helped us walk better, it didn't last very long though and pretty soon we were walking sideways again. :sad2:

So we headed off again and hubby had decided he wanted to go see the Country Bear Jamboree show. We walked over there and a show had just started so I asked hubby if he wanted to wait but he said to forget it so we left. :sad2: I suppose being tired and somewhat cranky was catching up to him and his patience level was slowing down.
We found ourselves walking past this sign and I had to take a picture because it's one of my all time favorite movies.

The Hall of Presidents was closed while we were there so we left this area without doing much except looking around. I'm looking forward to seeing that on our next trip.
We decided to head back towards the castle and the Fantasyland area in the hopes that the lines wouldn't be that long. Yeah right! :rolleyes1
Stopping at the castle first we took some pictures.

Hubby decided to start taking some more photos of the back of the castle while I tried to figure out what to do.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%209/DSCF0548.jpg
Then hubby moved on to taking photos of the area.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%209/DSCF0556.jpg
Then I had remembered how I wanted to see Mickey's Phillarmagic show (sp?) so we headed over there. Well of course it was closed down at the moment. The CM said they were working on the problem at the moment and had no idea if it would open up again or not. I was so totally bummed, from all the stuff we didn't get to see or do I really wanted to see this show. So we walked away and hubby suggested that we just hang out and chill in the area to see if it was going to open or not. I was fine with that and then for some unknown reason because I must have figured that the day we were having wasn't rough enough I suggested we go on It's a small world. I still really have no idea what I was thinking. I think hubby even fell backwards a step or so when I said this.
Off we went.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%209/DSCF0566.jpg
So we rode the ride in what I could only call a sleep induced coma like state. We didn't speak, we didn't move, we didn't take any pictures we just sat there. Needless to say we both now needed toothpicks to keep our eyes open and a wall to bash our heads on several tmes in the hopes of getting that song out of it. :thumbsup2
Moving on shall we!
Phillarmagic still wasn't open and the lines for everything else were outrageous so hubby decided to get cute with the camera again. It amused him for awhile.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%209/DSCF0589.jpg
And I did spell it wrong. Ooops, sorry.
So I grab DH and we run over just in time for the next showing.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%209/DSCF0586.jpg
I loved, loved, loved, loved, loved, did I mention I loved this show. It was so cool and so cute. I'm so glad we waited around, it was totally worth it. I especially loved the ending with Donald, so adorable.
I took this picture of Donald in the store as we headed out.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%209/DSCF0574.jpg
I could have gone crazy shopping in there, with all the Donald stuff but since we already had half a disney store back at the hotel that we had to figure out how to pack and still three more days of parks, I figured it wasn't the smartest thing to do. Next time.
After the show we both decided we were to pooped to pop anymore and just wanted to leave. I was so sad because it was our last day at the Magic Kingdom but I was beyond exhausted as well. The only thing left that I wanted to do that night was get a photopass picture in front of the decorated castle. We headed out to Main St. which was already packed for that nights showing of wishes and the parade. We searched and searched for a photopass guy but we couldn't find one at all. I was so tired and being caught with so many people around us was driving me nuts that I just said forget it. Hubby managed to take our own photos of the castle on the way out.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%209/DSCF0606.jpg
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%209/DSCF0605.jpg
We made our way upstream towards the exit. It took awhile but we finally made it back to the car. I was sad because there was so much we didn't get to do at the park and I never got to see wishes or any of the parades. As we started to drive on, I started to tell hubby we were for sure coming back, no if's, and's butt's about it.
This was hubby's face after I said my spiel.

:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:
Well we realized as we got closer to the hotel that we hadn't eaten anything all day, not since breakfast on the ship at like 7am that morning. :scared1: I have no idea why we never stopped for food I guess we just hadn't thought about it. Anyway we headed over to Taco Bell and they were having some serious issues this evening so we left and ended up going to Red Lobster instead. Yummy. While we were eating Wishes had started and we could see the fireworks from our table. It was pretty cool and I got to see some of it.
After dinner we went back to the hotel and literely fell into bed, I don't even remember putting jammies on. We were out like a light until the next morning.
So there you have it ladies and gentleman. The longest day of our lives, at least to us it was. It wasn't very productive but we still had fun.
Coming up next we finally get to Disney's Hollywood Studios!

Hey everybody, I'm soooooo sorry to leave you guys hanging for the last few days. It was my intention to update last Monday but we have some friends that have been going through some personal issues and so we have been babysitting there little boy at there house while they talk and work out the problems. Needless to say I have not had a chance to get to a computer till now. Anyway our friends have now worked out the issues and are doing great. They actually went with my hubby and I yesterday to Disneyland to celebrate my birthday with me. We all had a blast and there little boy who is just over a year old had a great time on his first visit to the park. I promise to start our DHS day tomorrow but for now I'm just going to answer all you lovely people that left comments since last we spoke. :goodvibes

Yes I was smiling like a loon when we got out of Philharmagic, it is a feel good attraction for sure.
I can't wait to see what changes they do to Space Mountain and I'm sure I will try the front seat next time. I'm just a chicken when I go on a ride that I'm not familier with the first time.
I'm sure everyone did think we got plastered before we came into the park. :sad2: It was so funny watching everybody's faces though.
I didn't even think to go on Carousel of Progress to get that song in our heads instead, I will do that next time. :thumbsup2

I know since we have been back and I read other TR and tips and stuff around the boards I get overwhelmed with the amount of stuff we missed. O'well that just means lots more trips in the future. :yay:
The fireworks were a complete surprise, it was the coolest thing watching them while having our lovely seafood dinner. Ewwww, I would think the ranch would ruin the flavor of the biscuits, they are heavenly all by themeselves. Oh, I'm getting a rumble in the tummy for them now!

So I wasn't able to do an update yesterday like I planned, so sorry for that.
Before I start I wanted to say I hope everyone is having a fabulous Easter weekend with there families.
Now moving on with this TR.
We are now on Friday Nov. 14th and this was our Disney's Hollywood Studios day. I was super excited to get to this park.
In keeping with our normal routine of not getting up early unless we had to I would say that we finally got out of the hotel room at 9 almost 10am to head to the park. We didn't eat anything before leaving which I was fine with since I was still full from the Red Lobster the night before. You should not go to bed on such a full stomach! Hubby and I had passed out cold and didn't wake up once until the alarm went off. I had never been that tired in my life. Never again will I go to a park just off the Disney Cruise unless I have taken a nap first. Lesson learned!
Heading outside it was clear right away it was going to be another warm day. I was slowely getting tired of the humidity every day, soooo not something I could live in. I guess moving to Florida sometime in our lives is out of the question.
Anyway we got in the car and soon we were driving under this.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0003.jpg
Then we pulled up to the parking area and it was really creepy and kinda weird that we were the only car.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0005.jpg
We catch the tram and pretty soon we are at the main gate ready to start the day.
Here I am willing hubby to stop taking photos so we can get inside already.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0011.jpg
When we get inside I'm already in love with the place, I have a thing for movie type amusement parks. Call me crazy, it's okay. Hubby starts taking photos.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0021.jpg
At some point during our walking these characters intercepted us and started going nuts because we were on our honeymoon. They started making a big scene about it and the guy on the car jumped off and started blowing bubbles all around me while she was yelling for everyone to gather around and stare at us because the happy couple just got married and who knows how happy they will stay so you all should get a good look at them now. Ya know Disney humor. It was actually very funny and I was cracking up the whole entire time.

I sat around all day reading your report from the beginning. I was at Disney at the same time. I think November is a good time to go. I LOVE the Festival of the Masters art show that takes place one weekend in November so I like to go then.
I have been on the Wonder and the Magic and loved reliving it through your report. I'm really glad I didn't have a sea urchin incident!
I think I was walking around Port Orleans the same day that you took phots there.

It was very sweet and Disney did a great job at making us feel special. pixiedust:
I don't have a clue why we happened to be the only car pulling in at that time but it was really weird and even the cast member made a comment about it when we pulled up to the parking booth. He said something like in all the time he worked there that had never happened before. Strange!

Thank you so much for reading, I'm glad your enjoying it. I thought November was great but I have also never been before so that is my only experience, we are planning on going back Nov. 2010 so hopefully it will be nice for us again.
I learned my lesson about wearing my water shoes on serenity bay, I will not go in the water again without them. It took me like 3 months after the urchin incident to get all the thorns out of my foot. :sad2:
Such a small world to think you were right there when I was, I wonder how many people I actually passed that are on these boards.

So finally escaping from the street performers we continued on. We were actually making our way towards Toy Storia Mania but we were doing it slowely. We figured if we got there and all the fastpasses were gone we would just wait in line and that was fine with us. It's not really my thing to run from ride to ride for fastpasses, we are more of the either we get them or we don't type of people. Of course along the way we were snapping photos. I was already in love with this park. I don't know why people don't like it that much. :scratchin
We did stop for some photopass pictures.

We also missed One Man's Dream which I was really, really sad about and it will be the first thing we do when we get back to the park. I had planned on doing it later in the day but I didn't know they closed it at a certain time so when I got back over to it, it was closed.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0036.jpg

Another must do for next year.

And then we had arrived at our destination.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0038.jpg
I loved the green army guys, they are just great. They kept sneaking up on people and doing these crazy poses with them and the guest wouldn't even know they were there. Very funny.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0042.jpg
This was really the only picture I got in the area for now because it was so crowded.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0040.jpg
Fastpasses were still available so we grabbed some and then headed far away from the area. They almost need crowd control people over there.
I don't remember exactly what time the fastpasses were for but I do know it was at least two hours or so before we ended up heading back to ride TSM.

Again I was lacking. Been a rough month for the family but I am back! I love the headshot photopass pic of you and hubby. Very cute. Can't wait to hear how about the rest of your day. Glad to hear your friends were able to work through their problems, they are lucky to have you guys to help them out.

OMG you guys I'm so so so sorry that I have been neglecting my TR. I seriously have been super busy. Let me give you a rundown on what I have been up to the last few weeks or so.
First I have been babysitting our friends 1 year old and that right there has been super time consuming and also leaves me exhausted by the time he goes home. LOL. I guess I'm getting my experience for when hubby and I have kids. I'm actually watching him right now but he is napping so I thought I would at least check in.
Then it has been everybodys birthday. Seriously we have celebrated at least six birthdays. :scared1: And of course each and every one of them wanted to go to Disneyland on the day. Needless to say I have been spending a serious amount of time at the parks. Also just about all of them purchased season passes since they are doing that payment plan thing for Southern California residents so I have been going to Disneyland all the time at all hours of the day. I can't really complain about that though. :thumbsup2
Then hubby's car broke down and so he has been driving mine. Well there have been some days when I needed my car so I have had to drive him to work and since he doesn't exactly work the best hours in the world, I have found myself stuck on the 101 Hollywood freeway at rush hour time at least 4 times in one day. So not cool! And this dillema is still going on.
Then one of the cats has been sick and throwing up all over the dang place, that has just recently began to subside.
Along with the cat my MIL got violently ill and was out of commision for weeks, and since I am the one who is around I was taking care of her. She is doing better sick wise now but is having some kind of back problems now.
Most recently I have had some kind of stomach bug that keeps sending me to the bathroom pretty often, so that has not been fun. I'm still working on getting rid of it completely.
There are countless other things but I won't bore you guys with them, but I will tell you the very latest one that happened yesterday was that my mom went into the hospital for breathing problems and since she is in New Jersey and I'm here that has been difficult. I have talked to her several times and she swears she is okay, she sounds okay but the doctors still don't know what caused it. Anyways it looks like she will remain in the hospital through mothers day.
So I'm going to go ahead and answer the lovely messages I have been left by my loyal readers and also wish all of you a Happy Mothers Day but I don't think I will be able to work on the TR till tomorrow. Again I'm so sorry and I will do my best to get back to it ASAP. Thank you again for everybody who is still reading. Have a great weekend you guys.

Love the photopass pics.
I'm a runner for the fastpasses. I love the adrenaline rush. So if you want me to come along next time-I volunteer to do the fastpass race for you.
Ugg! I could not imagine running all over the place for a fastpass. Well we are planning on going back the last week of Oct through the first week of Nov in 2010 if your available to be our fastpass runner, I'm fine with it. :thumbsup2:hug:
popcorn::I just spent the last 2+ hours reading your entire TR!:dance3: It's really great!!! Congrats on getting married:yay: We just got back from WDW and I've also started my TR.:rolleyes1 Can't wait to read more of yours. Also, love the Halloween wedding! Your dress was amazing!
Thank you so much for your sweet compliments. So happy that my TR can entertain someone for 2+ hours. :woohoo: At some point when I finally get my TR rolling again I will look for yours. :goodvibes
Nice update. Your first photopass picture looks like you were wearing the sorcerer's from the background. Pretty cool. :cool1:
I said that same thing when I saw that picture, it really wasn't planned that way but came out pretty cool none the less.
Again I was lacking. Been a rough month for the family but I am back! I love the headshot photopass pic of you and hubby. Very cute. Can't wait to hear how about the rest of your day. I feel you pain in the lacking and having a rough month department. :sad2: I hope things get better for you.
The photopass pics from this day are some of my favs, they just came out really good and we look so happy in them.

Glad to hear from you.
I know life gets in the way and from what you've described life has certainly been keeping you busy. I'll be hear when you've got some time to finish up on your report!
This is what I dislike about my job as a teacher. I can only go on vacations during school breaks. So I'm afraid November 2010 is out for me.

Awwww that sucks! And the sad part is that is really the only time of year that hubby can get away without to much drama from his work. I fear I will never see Walt Disney World at any other time. :sad2: Anyway I guess in honor of you offering and reading my TR maybe I can bring myself to do a few butt hustles for some fastpasses. After all I did just do it the other day at California Adventure for Soarin, so maybe there is hope for me yet.

So I left off with getting our fastpasses for TSM and leaving the area.
Neither hubby or I new what to do next. I was getting irratated because we just couldn't make up our minds on anything. I was finally feeling much better and had lots of energy so I wanted to get going and get stuff done since this was our only day in this park.
Hubby kept asking me what I wanted to do and I of course kept saying I don't know which does not help the situation. On top of it, it was extremely hot out and that was making us more cranky.
Finally I said lets just walk until we find something. He took some pics along our mostly silent walk together.

AJ absolutely loved this awning because I'm from the east coast and still have my accent (at times it comes out) so he had to take a picture of it.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0073.jpg
Again let me remind you these are all just random shots while we try to figure out what we want to do.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0045.jpg
At some point we found ourselves near the Honey I shrunk the Kids play area so we decided to check it out. Under any other circumstances I would have had a blast in there taking really fun photos but since I was in a poopy mood at the moment and it was hotter then hell in the play area we just took normal photos.

After leaving there we decided to go over to the Backlot Tour, of course when we got there it was not open yet. AAAARRRRGGGGGGG!
Finally we make a decision about something and it didn't work.
So moving on we got ourselves over to the Muppet 3D Vison show. Hubby and I have seen it like a million times at home so we decided to pass on it. Thinking about it now we should have gone because at least it would have been cool inside and given us time to stop being cranky. :sad2:
I loved this gate though. I'm a huge kermit fan.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0080.jpg
And the fountain was also really cute, I loved it.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0075.jpg
Coming up do we finally figure out what to do with ourselves or is the whole day a bust?

No go on the muppets, even though we should have. I agree 100% they should put a water play area in there.

So even though the muppet show was just starting we decided to move on since we had seen it so many times back at home. I still wish we had gone and seen it anyway.
Moving on we found ourselves next to the Star Tours area. Hubby and I made the decision to go on that ride because even though it's super old, it's a favorite for both of us. Before we got in line we took pictures around the area which I might add is very well decorated. I wish Disneyland had enough room for stuff like that.
Hubby had a blast playing around on this.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%20Photopss%20Pics/image270.jpg
After I was finally able to get him off so that the other little kids could play we headed towards the ride.

One last photo as we leave the area.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0230.jpg
After our wonderful ride on Star Tours it became very clear to us both that we were very hungry. That was probably causing us to be very snippy with each other as well so we decided to find some food fast. When I looked around the area the first thing I saw was this.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0107.jpg
We decided to try our luck and see if we could get seating for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised when the CM at the podium told us it would be a five minute wait. Yay!
Well it wasn't even really five minutes before we were led to our car. We ended up sitting in the last row of the car behind a really nice family. Of course I didn't get any pictures of the food we ordered and I don't even remember what it was. Not to say it was bad, I do remember everything was very tasty and we liked it alot. I also remember that my dear hubby almost died on me while eating. He ended up getting a piece of food stuck in his throat and when he started coughing and gasping for breath, I started to freak out, as did our waiter who was expecting the worst from the look on his face. After what seemed like an eternity hubby was able to get the food out on his own but it was pretty darn scary. Well needless to say after his near death experience we made up from our stupid fighting and the rest of the day was great. I tell ya guys did we have an interesting honeymoon or what?
Our waiter who also probably lost a year or two of his life thinking hubby was gonna choke to death offered to take our photo before we left. First with us in the back of the car.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0117.jpg
Then he had us move up to the front of the car for a shot.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0118.jpg
All in all I thought the place was really cute and the food was good, so we will be returning to eat there again.

Glad to hear your husband was okay. I don't think I would know what to do if something was stuck in my throat.
Were the seats really close to the table? From all the pictures I've seen of the Drive In restaurant, it looks really cramped and uncomfortable.

Other than my little star wars fan (Jedi DS6) the Studios is our least favorite park but next time I really want to take the kids to eat there. I think they would get a real kick out of it. I wonder how they do seating for 5? Different cars?

Yeah, I don't think I would have been so calm had it been me but since hubby is trained for situations like that because of his job he handles them much better. Still it was pretty freaky and I don't ever want to witness it again.
The restaurant to me is cozy. The seats are small but not so much that I found it uncomfortable. It's like a little bar looking table in front of you, but we had enough room for all our stuff and managed just fine. I guess it's just a matter of what people consider cramped and not cramped to them.

Really? I loved DHS, I thought the park was done really well and we had a blast with all the photo opportunities. I will admit alot of the attractions there are a bit cheesy but I guess hubby and I are goobers enough that we enjoyed it. :rolleyes1
I think your family would really like Sci-Fi. The movies they play on the drive in screen are just so stupid it's funny and the atmosphere alone is great. The cars each have three rows that can seat two adults in one and probably three kids in one or two and two. You should be fine with your family of five to sit in the car. If not they do have tables mixed in there as well, but I highly suggest a car, it's obviously more fun that way. :thumbsup2

After stuffing ourselves on yummy food and feeling much more refreshed we decided to head over towards The Great Movie Ride.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0120.jpg
We took some pictures while on the ride but they didn't come out to great so I won't bother posting them. All in all we thought it was a cute ride, we would do it again as long as there was no line. We waited for about 10min for our turn so it was good.
Leaving the ride we got some pictures outside the area.

While hubby was snapping photos around the area I was looking at the show time shedule for the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. That was a must do for us since hubby is a huge Indy fan. The next show time was in about 20min so I suggested we head over to the stadium and do that. Hubby had been talking about this show ever since he found out it existed, I was hoping he would not be disapointed with it.
We snapped a few more pictures on the way over to the show.

We still had time to spare before the show so we decided to walk around the area looking at the props. I was glad we did this before the show because when the show lets out it does right next to the area we were walking around in. Hubby was able to get pictures and look around without a ton of people in the same small area.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0160.jpg
And then it was time to go inside for the show. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the stadium was covered and comfy. We got really good seats pretty close to the front and then settled in for the show.
We have a ton of pictures but I will only post a few of the more decent ones. I liked the way the stage looked in the beginning.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0175.jpg
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0174.jpg
So the show starts with Indy dropping down from the ceiling on his rope, that was pretty cool. The whole beginning of the show was pretty cool actually. My favorite part was him running from the giant ball. It was alot of cheesy comedy again and stupid jokes but good none the less.
Most of the pics of Indy that we have did not come out to good because he was moving to fast.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0192.jpg
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0191.jpg
Rolling the ball back up, it was pretty funny.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0196.jpg
He isn't Harrison Ford that's for sure.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0195.jpg
So the show goes on they pick there people out of the crowd to participate and the main stage disapears to reveal the set in the back. Pretty cool, I thought it was done well. The show is really long but good, some better parts then others. I'm sure that we will end up seeing it again on our next trip since hubby liked it as well.
After that we decided to go and see the Sounds Dangerous Show with Drew Carey. Now I know this is probably the worst attraction at the park and I told hubby it was totally stupid and not worth the time (based on what I read on the DIS). Well he wanted to go anyway just to see what it was all about. Off we went.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0225.jpg
All we both have to say about it, is that we had a nice relaxing time resting our eyes and enjoying the air conditioner, great napping spot.
What the heck was Disney thinking with that attraction? :sad2:

So after we left the Sounds Dangerous attraction we decided to head over to the Backlot Tour.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0043.jpg
There was a fairly long line when we got there and we didn't make it in the first group of people so we had to wait about 20min. or so for the next group. We took some pictures while we waited in line.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0241.jpg
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0245.jpg
So then it was our turn to go in and we got to the first part of the tour. I have no idea what they called this part but it was pretty funny. So far for every show that has required audience participation we have been lucky to have pretty cool people that make it fun and they have a good time so we have a good time watching them.

And then he was drenched
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2010/DSCF0252.jpg
After that we got ushered along and through the prop wearhouse. It would have been nice to have more time to look around in there instead of running through it. I think next time I'm gonna stop for more photos and just let all the people run ahead of me until I'm at the end of the line. From what we did see some of the stuff was pretty neat. Didn't get to many good pictures though.

Our thoughts on the tram tour.
It was alright, don't think we would wait 20min. to go again but if it's a walk right in we would probably see it again. Some of the stuff is pretty cool but I think they could change it around and make it so much better.
More coming up, just going to stop and eat some dinner first.

Upon leaving the tram we spent some time in that building that has all the wardrobes from some movies. It was cool to look at them but it was really hard to get any decent photos because of the dim lighting.

By the time we got done wandering around inside there we noticed that they where still letting people in for the next showing of this so we headed there.

That photo of the sign was taken earlier in the day at some point so that's why you don't see anybody wandering around.
So we headed into the ginormous stadium. It was a hike just to get to some seats and it was steep. I was not likeing how far up we had to go because of my fear of hights thing but I just snuggled close to hubby and was fine until I got used to it.
We got tons of photos from the show but I will just post some of my favs.

The show was very cool, we both really liked it alot. I'm a total car girl so I like things like this. I grew up with two brothers and all there friends so I was around cars alot. It stuck with me for the most part which pleases hubby to death because he knows he can bring me along for car shows and races and shows like this and I will happily go.
So now hubby and I are on a roll and we are getting around the park and doing things finally. I had forgotten about our fastpasses for Toy Story Mania and when I checked them I was pleased to see that we were now in our time frame to ride it so we decided to work our way back over there.
But first we run into some characters that we want photos with.
Who will it be? And will AJ and I love TSM or not?

Oh you are soo much better at remembering to take pictures than I am. I went on the same ride and took like 5 pictures and I was so proud of myself for remembering.
I agree they need to update the tram part and soon.

We are picture freaks. Sometimes I think it's not worth it because we end up with thousands of photos to go through and have to decide what to get printed and stuff. I think I'm gonna make hubby buy a camcorder this year then we can just have hundreds of DVD's instead. :lmao:

Some day I will get done with our day at DHS, I swear. :rolleyes1
Anyway when we left the Lights Motors, Action show which was no easy feat by the way. I never felt more like a sardine then I did trying to get outta that stadium. Next time I will just sit on my booty until the place is cleared out instead of trying to push along with everybody else.
Needless to say after we were free from the masses, we headed on to TSM to use those fastpasses. Along the way we ended up passing a character greeting spot and it was none other then my guys from Monsters Inc. I had to have a pic with them so we asked the CM standing there how to get in line because it was not clear to us at all.
I don't know how many of you are familiar with this spot but it's inside a store kinda, and they have the area the characters are in roped off so you can see them you just can't enter. Well being our first time to the park, we were not wise to the entrance line. Turned out we had to get the most irratable CM to explain to us how to get in line. After she ever so rudely explained how to get to the entrance (which she really didn't make all that clear) we turned to head off. Just as we were leaving she yells out to us "The characters are taking a break right now anyway so it doesn't matter when you get in line".
So we turned around and said "Thanks but we will just wait for them to return, it's fine". Her response to that was looking at us like we were something she found on the bottom of her shoe that day. :sad2:
We wished her a magical day in the hopes it would piss her off more.
So then we decided to hang in the store for a few minutes to look around and then finally we went on the search for the entrance line.
We found it, with the help of a nice guest outside who was more than happy to help us.
Of course when we saw the entrance I was laughing because there are no signs that say what it is, the area around the entrance does have Monsters Inc. stuff on it but it's still not clear what your walking into. I kept thinking to myself there should at least be a CM outside telling people what it is.
That was when I spotted her, the CM that should have been by the door was about 30 feet away, doing absolutely nothing. So after watching about a dozen families come over looking for the character entrance and hubby and I telling them they were in the right spot, I wanted to approached her so bad but hubby would not let me. Mind you when those families had been asking for the spot she never even glanced at them to help.
So after a few minutes of everybody waiting around she came over and said to us all "Are you waiting for the Monsters Inc. characters"? I think everyone just looked at her in silence.
So she opens up the door so we can all go through and just as hubby and I are about to enter I hear another family come up to her and ask if this was the right line for Mike and Sully and she says "Yes it is". The family thanks her for her help and she says "I'm glad to help you out, have a great day".
Well I couldn't help it, I turned to her and said "You would be more helpful if you could stand next to your post and actually be here to assist all the families that have questions instead of being 30 feet away so that nobody will notice you and doing nothing until you have to open a door. And with that I continued on to have my picture taken. Of course hubby looks at me like you just had to say something didn't ya.
I'm sorry but I just can't stand when people are supposed to be doing a job and they arn't. It drives me nuts, especially at a theme park and someplace like DHS were a ton of the guest are newbies and don't know what the heck they are looking for.
Okay slight rant over, sorry!
Finally it was our turn for the picture.

Finally we arrived and started taking pictures before getting in line.

Then it was time to get in line and once I saw the inside I was more in love. The place is just great, totally awesome how it's done up.

I have since gotten a ton of practice here at home and now can beat most of the people I ride with. Yay!

When we got off of TSM and back outside it was already getting dark. Now this next part of the TR requires some explaining. Hubby sooooo badly wanted to get over to the Tower Of Terror, I did not. This is the part that requires explanation.
Back in the day when I learned of TOT at WDW, I so wanted to go on it, it sounded like so much fun. Of course this was when I was younger and had more of a tolerance for rides like it. Fast forward to when I found out Disney was planning on building us our very own TOT at California Adventure. I was thrilled and couldn't wait for it to be done.
Well it was finally built and I went with my best friend one day who had already been on it and was ready for my turn. This was probably 4 years ago or so. Needless to say I went on, I almost peed my pants and I nearly broke my friends arm off and made her deaf. But I liked it, and had fun. I should also mention that we sat in the middle row with me on the outside. I did not like the fact that they don't make it easy to hold onto anything, I felt very unsecure.
So years went on and I went on it a handful of times always with my head burried in the arm of the person I was with and I was fine for the most part.
One of the last times I went on it I had the misfortune of sitting in the front row. That I did not like. I was completely petrified and did not have a good time. After that I said if I was going to go on the ride ever again I had to sit in the back row since I had found that I felt more secure back there and if you sat next to the wall there was a handle for you to grab. That was A-okay with me.
So now in talking with people about TOT at WDW I was told of all the differences from our TOT. I didn't think anything about it really but I would soon realize that those differences would prove to be my demise with TOT.
With our TOT we only have the option of up and down, ours cannot move forward so being that, our ride usually consist of some smaller drops with about two full drops. I like that because it gives me a chance to catch my breath.
So now that you know that little history I can continue with the story at hand.
We walked over to TOT and hubby stopped to get this picture.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2011/DSCF0424.jpg
And we got a photopass picture.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%20Photopss%20Pics/image300.jpg
And then some more pictures.
I would love to do what this was saying.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2011/DSCF0426.jpg
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2011/DSCF0425.jpg
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2011/DSCF0434.jpg
As we are walking through the line (which I love by the way, I think the place is decorated in the most awesome way) I was already shaking like a leaf and didn't want to ride. I seriously have some kind of love, hate relationship with this ride.
So we finally get up to our elevator and I tell hubby to ask the CM if we can be in the back row otherwise they needed to show me the exit. The CM was okay with that so he put us in the back row but behind a guy and his little sister. Well we get behind them and I kindly tap the guy on the back and say "Excuse me but do you mind if my husband and I switch places with you because I need to sit in the corner to feel secure and not get sick". At first he looked at me like I was crazy then he must have thought about it and decided it would be a good idea to switch with us. Most likely he thought of vomit. :rotfl2:
Here is my elevator of doom.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2011/DSCF0439.jpg
So how did I do on the ride you ask?
NOT WELL AT ALL. GOOD LORD I DID NOT LIKE IT!
Well I shouldn't say I didn't not like it because I did in fact like the beginning of the ride. It's different from ours and sooo much better, so that part I really enjoyed.
BUT THEN.............
When we shot straight up, I freaked, then we went straight down and proceeded to do that about 4 times if not more. I think I lost count and I was trying really hard not to puke.
I remind you all again that I was used to having a few smaller drops in the ride. In fact it's guaranteed with ours.
So after shooting straight up and straight down a serious of times, I had had enough and wanted off. I was seriously getting sick and I couldn't catch my breath for anything. I was about one more drop away from spilling my insides when the ride stopped, and this was much to the relief of the guy and his sister sitting next to us who had kept a watchful eye on me the whole time.
Upon exiting the ride my legs would not work and I was still feeling pretty sick so I had to sit down in the fresh air for a few minutes to recoup. The whole time I was glaring at hubby who kept saying I was getting old and how much fun that was.
Thanks alot honey.
Needless to say we didn't get the picture of us on the ride which I'm kinda sad about now because I'm never gonna go on it again. It would have actually been a funny pic since it did show me clutching hubby to death and you can see my cheeks kinda puffed out in the vomit position and the guy sitting next to us looking at me very worried. :rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:
It was that day that ended my time going on TOT either at WDW or here at home. I now refuse to go on it at all much to the dismay of my hubby who just loves the ride.
And so there you have it, my TOT story, I hope you enjoyed.
Coming up next.....Would I do better on Rock N' Rollercoaster or have a problem on that also?

Loving your take on DHS--you are such a hoot! Never been able to make myself go on TOT, don't plan on it in the future, and after reading your experience, sounds like a healthy decision to me.

You won't catch me on the TOT at either park.
On the bright side it leaves me with more time to people watch, shop and snack.

I used to love rides like TOT but I guess with age my feelings about certain rides have changed. Doesn't help matters much that I don't like heights either.

I know, just last week we were at Disney's California Adventure with some friends and they all wanted to go on TOT so I offered to watch the kid for them while they rode. I was perfectly happy running after him and people watching.

Okay so I last left off with us heading towards RNRC. I was excited for this ride and nervous at the same time, only because I new it was inside and kinda dark. I love rollar coasters but I'm used to them being outside, especially if they have loops and stuff. So we headed in that direction and took some photos of course.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2011/DSCF0453.jpg
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2011/DSCF0457.jpg
We stopped and had a photopass picture taken also.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%20Photopss%20Pics/image306.jpg
I think the wait time for the ride was about 45min. or so but it seemed to move pretty quick to me. I thought the line was really cool, I loved how it was decorated throughout. Unfortunatly we didn't get any photos while standing in line. I know my feet had started to hurt pretty bad at this point and I really was just focusing on trying not to keel over.
As we got closer to the front of the line and we could see the ride taking off I got more nervous.
Before I knew it our turn was next. We ended up sitting towards the rear of the ride which was fine with me.
As soon as we were settled in the car and sent off I relaxed alot, I'm weird like that. Also I love that the ride shoots you off at the start. I'm a sucker for rollar coasters that do that, I think it's more fun that way.
So anyway the light's approaching green and we are off. My first thought was crap this is fast. Then I realized how jerky it was and my head kept getting smashed on both sides, this was made worse because I had earrings on.
In a nutshell I have to say I loved the ride but I was paying more attention to all the signs trying to read them that I really didn't notice to much of the actual coaster itself. I felt the loops and the corkscrews but they didn't do anything for me really. The take off was superb and was probably the highlight for me. Hubby loved the whole thing and really wanted to go on it again but didn't want to wait in line another 45min. I think next time we go on it I will NOT be wearing earrings to try to save my head, really that was the only thing I didn't like about it.
So with that done it was now time to decide if we wanted to sit and watch Fantasmic or not. I'm not a huge, huge fan of this show, I have seen it about a million times at Disneyland mostly because my best friend loves the show so she makes me sit through it all the time. She made me promise when we left for Orlando that I would go see Fantasmic and record it for her so that she could see the difference between them. With that promise hanging over my head and hubby reminding me that I did promise her I reluctently let myself be led into that enormous stadium.
The walk into the stadium alone was crazy just because of how long it is, so when we actually reached the inside I was in awe of the size and how many people could fit inside there. We quickly made our way to some seats on the left side of the stadium fairly close to the front. I didn't really care about our seats anyway. Of course had I been aware of the sheer mayhem and craziness that ensues when the show is over I would have found seats as close to the exit as humanly possible.
I took this picture just because I was in shock at the size of the place.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2011/DSCF0459.jpg
And that wasn't even half of it, it was just all I could fit in the shot. :rotfl2:
So anyway the show starts and hubby is recording it for my friend and my first thought is okay, it's starting the same way ours does. As it goes on though we both quickly realize it's a very different show from ours. I can't even begin to tell you how many times during the show hubby and I both looked at each other like, "what the hell". Now I know that tons of you on the Dis love this show and that's cool, but for hubby and I we didn't care for it. Not that it was bad or anything, but it just didn't do anything for us, at least in comparison to our Fantasmic at home. And what I mean by that is when we watch it here it actually will bring tears to our eyes but there we just kinda watched and had the Okay look on our faces most of the time. I will admit that some of the show was awesome and those parts we really enjoyed but overall I don't think we will sit through it again. And leaving the stadium after the show was enough to make a man go insane. They should have more exits available for people. It took us 30min just to get out of there and that was with us waiting for most of the crowd to leave first.
And my friend by the way, didn't like the way the show looked either, and for her to say that is unheard of because she is a super disney freak.
Anyway I hope I didn't offend anyone by saying that we didn't really like the show and I'm sorry if I did.
Well after finally getting free from there we decided to hit a couple of shops on our way out of the park. I didn't take pictures of the stuff we bought but I ended up purchasing a few things. While we had been in the store it started to rain pretty hard so people of course started freaking out and scattering for there lives. The stores ended up getting to cramped for me so hubby and I just decided to leave. I so wish we had gotten somebody to take our picture because as we approached the exit we were seriously the only two people walking, everyone else was hiding from the rain and it just looked so funny. It was super hot and muggy so the rain felt good to us, we just strolled out of the park hand in hand and almost drenched.
We made our way to the tram and back out to the car in no time since everyone was still waiting for the rain to let up. By the time we got into the car the rain had stopped. We made it back to the hotel and I think we stopped for food someplace but I don't remember what it was. Needless to say it was another fun day and we went to bed at around midnight. I remember the time because I was yelling that we were not going to wake up early the next day to go to Islands of Adventure. Yes ladies and gentlemen, we finally get back to Universal to do the other park.

Well it's been another long time since I have posted. I am determined to finish this TR very soon though. I hope I still have some readers out there.
Anyway I last left off with DHS and our mostly fantastic day at that park. Today would now be Nov. 15th and we are heading back to Universal to go to Islands of Adventure. I was extremely excited to get to this park, I had read all about it and it sounded like so much fun.
I don't remember exactly when we woke up this day but I do know we got into the park at around 10:30 or so. I refused to stop for breakfast because I wanted to get there so badly. It was a very overcast day but still pretty warm and humid out. Little did we know the weather was going to change alot.
Here are a couple of shots as we made our way to the entrance of the park.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0008.jpg
So we get into the park with no problem and are soon on our way. Already I was loving it.
I thought this little overhang was cute because it says The adventure begins.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0011.jpg
It seems like it's super crowded in that picture but it was not bad at all. The longest wait was like 35min. No big deal.
One of my first stops was in a store filled with Grinch stuff. I just love him and I wanted to take everything home with me.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0021.jpg
AJ started taking like a gazillion pictures of the main entry area and I was like hurry up already. It's a cute area but I was very anxious to get my butt on the Hulk coaster. Here is my "I'm half smiling for this picture but I'm gonna kill you if you don't hurry up now look".
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0027.jpg
A short walk later and a quick turn to the left and finally we are at my destination.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0037.jpg
Doesn't it look like fun?
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0030.jpg
Here are some random photos while we waited in line.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0041.jpg

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0054.jpg
As we are getting closer to the ride I start getting antsy. I do this when I'm going on a ride I have never been on before. So as I'm doing what AJ calls my ride pee pee dance I'm trying to calm my nerves. I don't know why it happens to me really because I love rollar coasters and once I get on the ride, I'm instantly fine.
Finally, finally it's our turn and we are loaded on. I didn't get any pictures at that moment because they have that "YOU MUST NOT CARRY ANYTHING WITH YOU ON THE ROLLAR COASTERS LAW AT THIS PARK" so we had to hide the camera.
Anyway the ride is fabulous. I had the best time. You start off going up the inside track like any normal coaster but then halfway up it shoots you out, really fast and you go into the first twist. It's awesome! The take off is by far the best part. The whole ride is really good and that loop is pretty large because it felt like it took forever to come out of it. LOL
We did end up purchasing our ride photo. That again is the one thing I love about going to Universal parks, with hubby's discount I can shop till I drop and not spend a small fortune.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/img006.jpg
Oh and the two people sitting with us on The Hulk, we had a running theme with them this day. I don't know how or why but we ended up sitting with them on several rides throughout the day. It was super weird and never once did any of us say anything to each other but we would look at each other with the strangest expressions when we kept running into each other. It was really, really funny.

Universal Studio park is an awesome park. Not quite as "magical" as Disney but just as exciting. The Hulk rollercoaster is the best ride at Island of the Adventure, IMO. When I was there in 2006, because we stayed at the resort inside the complex, we used the hotel guest line instead of the normal line. So I didn't get to see what the waiting queue look like you did.
This is what you look like when they 'shoot' you out of the tunnel. ;)

So continuing on we left the Hulk coaster and headed over to the next closest ride which was this.

Pretty much they are just like the teacups except they spin easier and faster, making it much more fun. I was loving the theming also since it was Storm from X-Men and I am a big X-Men fan. My cat is after all named Storm! :)
They had cool comic strips around the ride to read also.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0060.jpg
The ride was fun I really enjoyed it but again I like spinny rides. I tried to get some pics while on it but they came out really blurry so I won't bother sharing.
After that we just kinda walked around for a bit in the Marvel area taking it all in. I think it's decorated really well and I guess anybody who likes comic books would really like it. Other people might just say it's stupid and boring.
I thought this pic came out cool, it's looks like Wolverine is attacking us.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0070.jpg
I will say that the only thing that sucked was the characters, or at least most of them. This is seriously the worst Storm and Rogue I have ever seen in my life. People that go to Comic Con do a much better job at dressing up and posing for pics then they do. LOL
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0069.jpg
I'm surprised I was able to get the shot because I couldn't stop laughing at them. Hubby made me laugh more because he did a better pose than they did.
As we walked away from them I shot this picture of there cyclops and still have no comment.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0071.jpg
This ride would have been next in our walk if it wern't for the fact that I'm so scared of heights. I offered to wait for AJ while he went but he passed on it as well.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0074.jpg
So then we came across hubby's favorite. SPIDERMAN!
Before going on the ride we had to have him get a picture with spidy.

I really wanted to get the professional ones they took because they came out so cute but for some reason we ended up leaving without them. I think we just kinda started walking around the store and forgot about them, I'm still bummed about it. I guess I will have to get them on the next trip. :thumbsup2

Then it was off to ride the Amazing Adventures of Spiderman.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0081.jpg
I was a bit nervous about this ride because I had heard there is a part in it where you feel like your falling from a skyscrapper and that didn't sound very appealing to me.
Here are some random pictures from the line. It was set up pretty cute.

They had this little model of the ride vehicles you get in.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0097.jpg
So I don't know how to explain the ride really. It's a 3D ride so you do wear glasses and the vehicles are on a track also so you are going through different sets as well. It's done really, really great and you totally feel like your in the action. We ended up sitting in the second row which I was silently thankful for, I so didn't want the front being my first time on the ride and all. There are alot of surprises and it is enough to make a person sick who has horrible motion sickness. A few times I had to look down to regain my composer, and I will say that anybody who is afraid of heights will not like the skyscraper part. We didn't know when that part was so we kinda had to estimate when it would happen, and well I didn't look away fast enough and I got so dizzy it was crazy. If I hadn't looked away when I did I'm positive I would have thrown up. Other than that part I thought the ride was truely awesome and now that I know when to look away I will go on it again.
After the ride we backtracked to the front of the park again so that we could cut across to Seuss's Landing. I was beyond excited to go into this land, I love Dr. Seuss.
This is what I was seeing as we got closer to the land.

I've just spent 1.5 work days reading through your whole TR! It's amazing!
I've never really felt the magic of a WDW cruise before. I've read plenty of TR with cruises but yours had me asking DH to go on a cruise for our anny next year! Your pics are great and you really captured the most of your vacation!
I LOVE US/IOA. We took a year off WDW and went to the UOR last year. It was amazing! Spiderman, Hulk and Mummy are my favorite rides ever!

Haven't been to universal yet. Waiting until the kids actually want to ride costers. I'm beginning to think that with my kids that might mean we never go but I'm working on the youngest one. He just might end up liking them.

Once again, I missed all the funky setup at the waiting queue in the 3D Spiderman ride because I didn't use the normal waiting queue. I actually like that ride a lot.
You didn't miss much with the Doctor Doom ride. That was a major let down. It was no where near as fun as TOT, IMO. I know, you don't like height.
Dr. Seuss land was a strange one for me since I know nothing about it but I still had a fun time.

So sorry for being MIA again with this TR. I have been having issues with my MIL and seriously have been wanting to kill her. Things have calmed down a bit now but only because I'm refusing to talk to her and just ignore her when I see her. :sad2:
Hubby also had some minor drama at work that we had to deal with, and that is finally all sorted out.
Then these fires have broken out all over Cali and they are really freakin scary so I have been watching alot of TV and keeping an eye on them. We don't live in the path of any of them but I know several people who do, so I have been very worried about them. The air is soooooo bad that I can't even go outside without having an asthma attack, so it's really misarable here right now. Praying for a miracle to get those fires under control.
Also we are going to Seattle/Canada in a few weeks to visit family and site see so we have been getting ready for that as well. All around we have been pretty busy and tied up with issues. Now things have fairly calmed down except for the fires so I can continue on with this TR.

Hello! Thanks so much for the nice compliments. :goodvibes
The cruise is truely amazing, I'm sure you will love it and even more if you will be celebrating your anniversary while on it.
I personally can't wait to get back to US and IOA, we had so much fun at those parks and I still feel like we missed so much.
I'm still here too!

Hi! Thanks for still reading.
Good luck with the kiddos on getting them to like rollar coasters. I know I didn't like them for a long time, were talking like pre teen years before I would even go on the littlest of coasters. :rotfl:

I think the queue lines are cool to go through at least once so that you can see them, now that I have I would much rather have that front of the line pass. :thumbsup2 We actually thought about getting it the day of but the lines were nonexistant so we had no worries.
I liked spiderman alot also but I really got sick with the skyscrapper part. It's okay though because now I know when to look away. :thumbsup2
It didn't look like we would have missed much with Dr. Doom, I think that's why hubby passed on it. He isn't scared of heights but he thinks rides like that are a waste of time, except for TOT.
I love, love, loved Suess's Landing, but more on that coming up soon.

Okay so first on my list was to get to The Cat In The Hat Ride.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0129.jpg
I think the ride is really fun but it does spin you around a lot while your on it. There is so much to see while your going through but you can't really do it with the spinning. You have to go on it a few times to really see everything. Overall we liked it though.
From there we headed over to this ride.
http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0135.jpg
For some strange reason I don't have any good pictures of the actual ride itself. It's pretty much just like Dumbo but you fly around in Fishies and you get drenched from water shooting fish on the sides. When I say drenched you really do get drenched.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0137.jpg
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0138.jpg
It's really a fun ride, especially on a hot and humid day. I can't say we got drenched personally because hubby kept flying us away from the water. :sad2: We did get caught a couple of times though and we got a good spray or two but some of the people getting off the ride were soaked.
These are just a random photos as we walked around.

http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0153.jpg

http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0176.jpg
Then we ran into my favorite guy ever. THE GRINCH! I was so excited to see him.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0186.jpg
Then as we were about to walk away the cat in the hat came out for photos so we really quickly snapped one with him also.

So as we walked away from our character meetings and started to head towards the High in the sky Dr. Suess trolley ride we literely ran into these guys.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0201.jpg
They are so much fun and they really have a good time joking around with everyone.
Finally we have made it to the little trolley ride.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0213.jpg
So it was about this time while standing there waiting for our turn that I realized I was in an enormous amount of pain and it was coming from my right foot. Now my feet had been hurting for the past few days from all the excessive walking we had been doing, after all it has been almost two full weeks already of Disney and Universal fun. I tried to ignore it but the pain was super sharp and radiating all the way up my leg. For the sake of just looking I decided to check my ankle. I should not have looked. My ankle at that point was literely the size of a golf ball. I had never seen anything like it. Never ever in all my years on the planet have my ankles ever swelled up from walking. Since there wasn't much I could do I decided to just push through the pain and deal with it, I wasn't of course going to leave the park.
Some more photos while we waited.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0218.jpg
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0217.jpg
Finally it's our turn.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0220.jpg
Okay so the next pictures are just random photos from the ride and the view you get.
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0223.jpg
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0232.jpg
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0231.jpg
http://http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n316/KathleenBlauvelt/Honeymoon%2012/DSCF0240.jpg
So the trolley ride is really cute, I recommend going on it at least once. Don't stand in line for it though, totally not worth that because it's so short, but if there is no line go for it.
That ended our adventures in Suess's Landing so we headed out towards our next destination but not before taking a picture of this sign.
