Aha! I had thought that is what a Kookie Pen might be, but I wasn't sure. They are cute. And a practical souvenir.
So, you speak of this "next time"....when, when, when? :hyper: :goodvibes

Don't get too crazy. I do have an update coming today, but not the one you might be expecting. Hopefully though it will entertain. Let's just say it involves yours truly, a video, and some "pole dancing".

I don't even know what to say Biscuit. That's hilarious and strange! What kind of reaction did you get at church? (They did a great job with the set by the way -- reminds me of 50's Prime Time.)
The Sprinkler is my favorite part of that clip!

Too bad we don't have a heimlich emoticon...you know a face that turns blue then anther face squuezes it and then blue face turns back yellow and hurls a chunk of goo across the screen. Something like that. That could serve as a warning at the beginning of a remark that you should not procede until swallowing.

By the way, you can use a baggallini as a man, I don't think it's a gender specific bag. They have black, red, navy, and khaki, orange and if your secure in your manhood you could always do pink. :thumbsup2
Black is always good for a guy. Just putting it out there incase you want to do a smaller bag.

Before I complete this final installment, it only seems fitting to pause and give thanks to those who have helped to make this TR such a joy to write. I am speaking of course of you, the readers. I had no idea when this project first began whether or not I would have anyone actually following along or not. Over the past year, I have gotten to know many new faces, and been blessed to interact with some awesome folks. Some of you have been around since the very beginning, some have come and gone and some are new friends. To all of you, I express my heartfelt thanks for reading along with me and posting back your thoughts. It’s been a fantastic ride and you have all played a huge role in that.
Taking a cue from Mrs._The_King, I thought it fitting to pause and recognize each of the 127 DIS’ers who have posted here and give a shout out to those writing their own trip reports. (If you are writing one and I missed you, PLEASE let me know and I’ll update it post hastily.)

Thank you all!
The subject of a return visit is both a source of hope and frustration. Before we went on this trip, Tracy and I had very differing opinions on The World. She saw it as a “Get it out of your system” type trip, while I saw it more as “establishing a precedent”. Before we left, we had a couple of brief discussions about our possible return. The general feeling then was that it would be a good 10 years or so. (When the girls were in high school.) While we were at The World, Tracy surprised me one day by advising that we needed to aim to come back in 5. On our last day, she said we needed to try to come back in three. So our goal at that time was to return the summer of 2012, with the hope of coming with Tracy’s sister and her family.
It would look something like this:
When: June 2012 for 10 days
Where: Pop Century
What: Park Hoppers, Disney Dining Plan, Peeps fest
Cast: Myself, Tracy, Tahli & Hailee / Nick and Tammy and their daughters Niki & Sammie.
That’s the dream. The reality is that I don’t see how we are going to be able to do it. With the continued cutbacks at work, my salary is going in the wrong direction. If we have to plan a trip with the current budget, it will NOT happen. So I’m hoping and praying that as life moves forward, our circumstances will change.
In short, the answer to the question of “Will there be a Sequel” is yes. As to the question of when, well the official response is “I don’t know.” But if this trip has taught me anything, it is that life has a way of bringing about the unexpected, both good and bad. For now, I wait and hope we will have an opportunity to return in 2012.
As to any other details, no I have not started The Plan 4.0, nor determined if or when I’ll do a PTR. I’m guessing if it happens, I’ll try to post a PTR in Jan of 2012. In the mean time, I’ll still be writing. I’ve been occasionally writing devotionals for our church and plan to do them more frequently now. I’m also working on a project for the 2010 San Antonio Christian Film Festival. In 2007, I directed a documentary that placed as a finalist and this time I am writing a story treatment. We’ll see how it goes.
Thanks again for reading along my friends. I’ll ask the mod’s to move this to the Completed Board at the beginning of next week. It’s been an awesome ride. In honor of Zzub... :moped:

How sweet of you to post links to everyone's PTRs and TRs. :goodvibes I have a PTR going (link in my signature - Magical Journey).
I had to laugh when I read that your wife thought the trip would be a "get it out of your system" type of trip. I'm sure my husband thought the same thing on our first, second, and third trips. :rolleyes1 After our last trip he really wanted to take some time off from WDW. But, somehow I have convinced him to join me for a couple's only trip in January. I think it's the lure of alone time with just me. ;)
Thanks for a truly great report. :thumbsup2

Be forewarned. Jeff was on the 3-5 year plan and he's migrated all on his own to 18 months!
So very very sad it is ending and I submit a vote, make it a call for a June '11 as the appropriate time for a trip that may never be PTR to commence. Or a trip will be, just maybe not be on those dates.
Or that year
The trip that will be or not to be?
What was the question?

It can be done. I had a PTR called, "A PTR for a Camping Trip That Might Never Be." :rolleyes1 It was started far in advance of when I was thinking about going and it ended up turning into something totally different.

I completely understand about waiting to see where things go before planning another trip. Our plan is 2013 (Ds will be 8) but that is if we are good about doing what we are doing now in regards to paying things (Creddit Cards:sick:) off and really budgeting.

I have just finished reading your final Post-trip chapter. I loved that you put a picture of a motor cycle (more likely a scooter) at the end. It made me laugh because all along I have been thinking "What a ride!"
I am mostly just a lurker reading steadily, commenting occassionally. Today I wished I could have been in at the beginning, to become a member of the daily readers and posters.
Of course, as a Johnny Come lately, I got to read almost to the end without any delays!
I will miss having the Biscuit's trip report to look forward to. But as a reader I want to say a big THANK YOU for sharing not just your trip, but a part of your life. :cheer2:
Thank you for this awesome and most excellently organized trip report. I loved it! I am hopeful something will happen to enable the earlier trip for you. I wish I could convey how helpful your report was to me: in planning, in enhancing our anticipation, in just plain enjoyment, and in helping to prepare me to have the right attitude - enjoy the time with my DD!
My first trip to the world is in 49 days, but we are already planning for 2012 as well.....

I'm not even too sad it's over, because I still have a lot of back-reading to do!! I guess I'll just have to PM you my responses, since this will probably be on the completed board by then!
Anyway, thanks so much for sharing. I sure hope you are blessed with surprises that ensure your quick return to the World!! Take care, GB!!

The “farting scooter” was a trademark of an old DIS friend who no longer haunts these halls. (Well, maybe he still haunts them, he just doesn’t communicate with the mortals.) Sometimes, coming at the end is best as it lets you skip all the waiting. The downside is you miss all the banter which is what makes the DIS such a fun place to be.

Well, as your top poster (only in count, mind you), I feel rather lousy that I'm only making it for a final comment nearly 3 pages later. Ah well...
Here they are:
1) If we're ever in Texas... watch out! Could be some fun times. :confused3;):thumbsup2
2) This has been one of the best WRITTEN TRs ever! You really have a gift there!
3) I know we'll be hearing from you regularly, as you've been thoroughly assimilated- we've done good!
4) I have a sneaking suspicion that there will be a PTR sooner, rather than later.
5) I refuse to say good-bye- I know I'll see you on mine- there's at least 6 more months of kicks and giggles over there. ;)

You truly are a classy, gracious, amazing guy. The quoted paragraph (and entire post) summarizes that. You made it a real pleasure to read your epic report and interact with you along the way. You are a great storyteller!
Thanks for all the shout-outs to your fans (and the links to their own TRs). Very classy move.

I didn't realize until now that the TR links in my last update didn't actually work. :scared1: Stinking MS word used slanted quotation marks instead of straight ones and it caused the DIS to do funky things. They should all be fixed now & I tested to make sure they pointed to the correct poster. Sorry for the mixup!

I am in awe of the time and effort that has gone into your TR. You are a talented writer and I am glad to know that you will continue to be writing (even if it's not for us at this point).
I hope life leads you where you need to be. I'm sorry to see your TR come to to an end. I've enjoyed it immensely.
Thank you.

Hi Biscuit, I am still reading your trip report(on page 76). I recently joined the Dis and started reading Jordans and then Winkers. I read every post and update and often ran across your replies. I thought you were very funny and finally got caught up on theirs so I started on yours. Well, I absolutely love your writing! You are so well versed and such an amazing storyteller. I feel like I am right there with you through the years. I was going to finish the report before i wrote to you, but then I read the rude comment someone sent you. I read it three times to fully believe it. You handled it so well, and I just want to say that they are so wrong. I love love love your writing with all the description and pics. You sound like a wonderful father and a very loving father and son. Thank you for sharing your time and I will keep reading as long as you keep writing.:surfweb:

Hmmm…the indefinite TR….that has possibilities.
And you are one of the few that could pull it off. Legions will flock and follow....

Thank you. Thanks so much for reading along! I really so appreciate it. I've enjoyed getting to know all of you here and plan to stick around a long time. (Unless they return to issuing infractions for potty humor...in which case this narrative will likely get me kicked outta here.)

I'm so glad you are reading along. I figure if I've only had one "I hate this" comment thus far, I'm still satisfying99% of the posters. Working in the service industry, I know that's good stats in anybody's book. I've actually completed the TR, but will leave it up a few more days. Thanks again for sharing. If I don't see you again here before the thread closes, I'll see you over at Winkers' & Jordan's. (That would make a good pub name.)
And you are one of the few that could pull it off. Legions will flock and follow....Thanks! I don't know what I would talk about without an actual trip on the books. Not so sure the Mod's would go for it either. But, we shall see...

Hi again Great Biscuit, I forgot that your trip report will come to an end! I still have 50 pages to go, but I will be sad when it is over. Hopefully you will not have to wait so many years for your next trip. I will be keeping an eye out for your next report as well as your posts on Jordans and Winkers. By the way, I just read about your love of bbq-I own a bbq restaurant in Pennsylvania. We cook all our meats over hardwood and I must admit it is pretty good. If you are ever in my part of the country- stop in. I will treat you like family(and don't worry, I like my family!) :rotfl: I don't know how to post pics yet, but if I can get one of my kids to show me, I will send you a pic to make your mouth water! Ha Ha!
Thanks again for all the fabulous writing and for the many hours of enjoyment you have given me and many others.

Thanks again for all the fabulous writing and for the many hours of enjoyment you have given me and many others. :hug:The pleasure has been mine. It's funny, now that I've been reading them to the girls at bed time, they have remembered things I had forgotten. I'll have to go back and add them in I guess when I print it out for the "official" scrapbook.

ps - did anyone else notice the Freudian slip? GB, you posted 2012 and most of the time, but the "ACTUAL ITINERARY" listed 2010...maybe 2011 is the perfect compromise?

Yep, I noticed it too. I thought his subconscious mind was trying to tell him something.

Thanks so much for reading along. I didn't notice my mix up! :scared1: Of course Freud would likely have all kinds of theories on the symbolic design of things such as Spaceship earth and the Tree of Life. :rolleyes1 Having had to study some of his writings in school, I can safely say that he was one werid dude.

HI! Thanks for the mention even though I joined late and only posted 3 times. I wish your TR wasn't ending.
I also hope to be at Peep Fest in 2012. What are the actual dates for that?

Hey, GB! I've been gone for a week or so with the flu, but I'm so glad I got back in time to thank you.
Thanks for the stories.
Thanks for the sweet pictures.
Thanks for the "growing up Disney" trip reports.
Thanks for the shout out.
And thanks for filling a place in our DIS hearts that had been empty for a while (hi, ZZUB!).
This was a truly outstanding read, and I hope you are able to keep it all for your beautiful little girls to read when they get older. They will, I'm sure, treasure it.
Please stay active here on the DIS, O.K.?
God bless.

:)Sorry to hear about the flu. I just got over it myself. NOT pretty. Thanks so much for reading along! I truly appreciate it. And like you, I miss Zzub too. I'm converting to a print version now actually. (Removing the DIS - Specific references and adding in a couple of forgotten elements.) I'm glad you were along for the ride!

I apologize for not reading this when The Great Biscuit was regularly posting on this TR.
It is in the Completed Board now, but in honor of a great TR, I am going to stick it in the beginning for awhile. Many times I receive PM's asking me for a good TR, and I can seand them here.
I haven't laughed this hard and really enjoyed this one. I enjoy all of them, but it was nice taking 3 days and reading it. It was like a good book, that you couldn't wait to come back to.
