I seem to remember some threads about a very nice on-site VB dinner that would be a good way to celebrate an anniversary. Does this ring a bell with anyone? DH and I will have an anniversary AND childcare while at VB this summer--yippee!:D

There are two restaurants. Shutters is the more casual and Sonya's is probably the one you are speaking of. I had two good (not fantastic) and one extremely disappointing meal with guests at Sonya's. After the embarassment with guests I haven't returned. Both restaurants share the same kitchen and it's possible to order off either menu. Others have had better luck and it would be your best on-site option. However, Vero is a town with many older tourists and snowbirds and has other options for a nice dinner. I haven't been myself but the Black Pearl has gotten favorable reviews here.

I am not a real fan of room service...but when my husband and I arrived at Vero last February, it was late and we were tired....so we ordered the "Romantic dinner for two". It was wonderful! Non-intrusive, and the best meal we had there. I believe it was around $125 but well worth the price. I was amazed that they were able to do this with a 1 hour notice. Have a great time!

PamOKW and Tracey L! These are some good options I didn't know about! Does anyone recall anything about some particular chef that you work with? Maybe at a vero (town) restaurant, maybe Sonya's? Some kind of chef's table thing. . .

We can vouch as well for the romantic dinner for 2 if you just want to stay in the room. The Black Pearl is worth a trip.Everyone has different tastes but we have not had a bad meal there.

Oooh! the dinner for two sounds like a great idea. Now, if I could just find the "two" to share it with.
