Split stay, different DDP, how early can you start using the new DDP?

We're getting the Basic DDP from 1/17-1/19, and will be moving from CSR to GF on 1/19 and getting the DxDDP. Our hope is to 'check in' before we hit Magic Kingdom - even if the room isn't ready for quite some time. If we go to GF on 1/19 to register around say 10AM, will we be able to start using our DxDDP then?

Yes~after you check-in, even if your room isn't ready, you can use your card for parks and DxDDP...

Just remember that your first set of credits will expire at midnight the day you change resorts.

Thank you! Since we have the Basic DDP for our first two nights at CSR, but are actually there for full days (we'll get in to CSR around lunch with a flight arriving at 10:30AM) - we'll likely use all 4 TS, 4 CS and 4 snacks between the two of us at breakfast on 1/19. So, this is great news that we'll be able to start using our credits for the DxDDP for lunch since we have 2 TS credits that I haven't accounted for yet. Yahoo! Disney, here we come!
