Does anyone knows of any military specials?According to the website, there are no online discounts available for military but you can call 1-877-801-9720 to see if anything is available when you're going.

not all of the Loews hotels have the same discount specials.

the ones in orlando don't have the MIL code for their online booking.

do not believe they have the room military special but have done some ticket specials for military personal

Loews does offer military rates, though it dosen't work over their website, you have to book directly through them. Last year, we spent the night at the RPR for $179.00 during peak season (4th of July weekend). However, they only offer so many rooms, at certain times....just be persistent and call often.

Just wanted to add that Universal will only give room discounts to ACTIVE DUTY military. The offer does not apply to retired, which sucks for us. I was hoping they would do like Disney and offer military rate for everyone. Won't hold my breath.

For tickets, go to Shades of Green on Disney property to get tickets. OR, you can go to your local base and purchase tickets. I suggest calling around. We called Fort Eustis in Newport News, Va and saved a bundle on both Universal and Disney tickets many months ago. Ft Eustis will even ship the tickets to you for a flat rate. Give it a try. They were much cheaper than Shades of Green.

universal offers a 10% discount for military at the front gate. it is issued as a courtesy and unfortunately, not all sellers at the front gate will honor the discount. it really is best if you go to your local base or to Shades of Green on Disney property. if you're a Florida Resident, buying the tickets online at www.universalorlando.com can save you money. if you're a AAA member, the discount is about the same too. if you're not a Florida Resident, but know someone who is, use their address with their permission when booking the tickets online. guest services does not request proof of florida residency when picking up the tickets at the Will Call window. you can even choose to print the tickets at home if you wish.
