If a 9yr old boy wants to order from the adult menu at a TS restaurant and they are on the dining plan, will they let him use one of the adult TS credits for the meal? The family is 2adults, 4 children (one of which is under 2). Could the older child use an adult credit and then the 2 year old use his child credit for a total of 3A/3C points total used at the meal?
Just wondering because this 9 yr old will not be satisfied with a child's plate. Thanks!

I believe they would only let you use the number of adult ts credits listed on the card.

Nope. They will only allow you to order 2 adult TS per meal. They will never allow you to use more credits than adults present at a time.

Ok, I know the flames are right around the corner, but...

I know NOW that dining credits are non-transferable. So it makes sense that you would only be able to use one "set" at a time.

In reality this is not the case. We have used the dining plan multiple times. We usually travel with other families. We have never any trouble when one person "pays" for a meal. We do it because it's just easier. (For example, we might use 8 credits off of my card tonight, and then 8 off of my friends the next night.)

If you want to, you can use all of your snack credits at one time. I've heard of people using them exclusively for take home gifts. I know we've bought drinks and ice cream or pretzels at the same time.

I've also never been asked for ID with a KTTW card when dining.

As long as you aren't reselling your credits, I don't think Disney cares how or when you use them.

here's the think, this is not the debate board. Disney's policy is very clear on how DDP works. On this board, we do not advocate 'bending' the rules. work arounds or any other loophole.

Information is shared on how the plan works and how to use the plan, not abuse the plan. the OP got their answer :), this thread is closed
