I'm wondering if we get the dining plan and find we will have extra TS credits because my DDs decide to share at some TS meals, would we be able to make an ADR for a 2TS place while at Disney? Say on day 5 or 6 of a 7 day stay? Or will everything be booked up? I'm thinking maybe California Grill or Jiko. (But open to others.)

My DDs are tweens/teens and I think at some places they may decide to share a TS. But I'm not sure until we are there and see how much they will eat. Some days they feel like eating a full meal and some days not so much.

California Grill will be hard if you want a reservation around fireworks time, but if it is after you shouldn't have a problem. I was in WDW over 4th of July and had no problems getting later times (after 7ish) for 2TS restaurants. Nothing is ever certain but if you are flexible in location and time you should get in somewhere.

Our last trip at the end of May, they were fully booked at FF, Jiko, CG on the nights we dined there, no walkups available. Brown Derby had openings; the place was almost fully empty. Artist Point had about half empty tables.

2 TS are much easier then 1 TS in general. There are some times at 2 TS that can be more difficult, like 6:00 - 8:00 at California Grill (Fireworks seatings), but overall they are easier.
