Okay, so I am starting my new PTR!!
If you are here, you might already know me! If not.....you will soon enough!!!
We will be "flying" into the wonderful world of Disney on Sunday, November 29th through Friday, December 4th. I will introduce the fam coming up next!;)
My name is Heather, Disney planner extraordinaire!!! My favorite character's are Tinkerbell and Tigger. Hmm, the 2 T's!! lol!! I love to plan Disney trips and I like to take them even better!!!
DH is Chad. His favorite characters are Mickey and Grumpy, (he acts like him so he should like him!) He puts up with my obsession, but does get tired hearing about it. So, that is why I am here!!!
DD, is Hollie! She loves Disney princesses and can not wait to meet Tinkerbell and Ariel (she didn't meet her on her first trip!)
This will be Hollie's 2nd trip and we are so excited!!!!
Also joining us will be Chad's mom and stepdad. I will post pics soon!!!!
Our dates are:
November 29th through December 4th! Staying at Pop!!! (Our first time there!!)
You might want to refer back to my first PTR, the Superfamily flying down below!

You should be OK for snow, at least at Ober. We taking our kids to Ober this year also. My DH and I have been but they haven't. We love Bubba Gumps but we haven't ever eaten at the Red Rooster. We have tried alot of places down there though. And I think we loved most of them. The Apple Barn is one of our favorites. We actually got married there. It snowed and we got stuck on a mountain. We had to be rescued from our honeymoon. Then they closed the interstates and our family couldn't get home. Yeah, we definately have some great Gatlinburg memories.

Well, I'm disappointed for no February trip, but happy for a trip to my fair state. Gatlinburg will be great. You'll give us a mini-trip report on that, right? I say every fall that we should drive up and see the leaves and stay at least overnight and do something, but we never do. It has been many years since we've been up there. It's a great place for shopping ;) , and of course you have to eat at a pancake house while you're there. It's a requirement!
So, I guess for now you can put away your warm weather packing and pull out the parkas! I'm always up for seeing pictures of anywhere anyone goes.

I love Gatlinburg and that area, quite fancy moving there actually. We really liked the Park Grill and Hard Rock and then the Apple Barn which I see you mentioned. All the shops and winery were closed when we were there though so will definitely have to back to check it out next time. We quite liked the Old Mill too, the pecan pie is so good :lovestruc

Well, I have a couple of plans! It all depends on what day the MVMCP happens! But, as of right now here are some plans I am throwing out!
Tuesday, Nov. 17th. maybe that night O'hana
Wednesday, Nov. 18th. We will either go to Epcot or Universal that day. If we go to Epcot, I am sure we will eat at either CR or SAI!
Thursday, Nov. 19th. either Epcot or Universal. Unless MVMCP
Friday, Nov. 20th. hopefully a MVMCP. If not, then another park.
Saturday, Nov. 21st. More than likely MK.
Now, we might end up leaving that Monday night to come down. So, if we do we will just get a cheap hotel off property.
The day we go to MVMCP I think we are going to take Hollie to BBB to get her hair and makeup done! Now, she still talks about getting it done in 2007. She said she wanted me to get it done too. Now, the only way I would do this is if I got the Fairytale Princess hairstyle. You all know me, I don't like anyone doing my makeup at all!!! lol! But, to keep Hollie happy, I will let them "put a little" on my eyes!! But, I doubt I will do it. Especially since my hair is so short!
I wanted to add some pictures but for some reason my laptop is going slow and its taking forever for photobucket to upload! So I will do that tomorrow!

Ok so where does one recommend we stay in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge? Really want to check out a cabin or anything with a nice deck/patio.
I know this sounds funny, but as many times as we have been there, I have never stayed in a cabin. I have had friends who did and love it! But, we stay in a hotel in downtown Gatlinburg. Once you come into downtown, there is a road that cuts to the left up a hill. We stay up there and its called brookside resort. We always get a fireplace deluxe room and it is so nice!!!! Plus, it has a private balcony that is right at the stream! Its so beautiful!
I didn't realise you and Chad met and worked at 6 Flags over Georgia. We plan to go there on our trip this year so I will have to bug you for information about everything there.
I really need to get one of those cool cocktail makers from Margaritaville, they are so cool. We haven't got one yet as it would be a job getting it back but if we lived over there that wouldn't be an issue. Oh look another reason to move over
Bug away girlfriend!!! :lmao:
I want one of those too!! I just haven't talked Chad into getting one yet since they are around $300 bucks!!! He just won't budge!!! That is a wonderful reason to move!!!:rotfl2:

I am wondering if its the Log Cabin pancake house. Its in downtown Gatlinburg. But....my favorite is the Red Rooster in Pigeon Forge. But, its like my hubby said....there is not one place up there that doesn't have good pancakes!!!!!! :rotfl2:

My husband laughed at me last night because I was drinking wine and reading Disney Guide to Dining while in the bath. My daughter told me I use way too many bubbles and they are for her. Hmm?

For me....great. We have never been, though. It tells you about each resort and park and all the food locations at each one. Plus it tells what kind of food they serve. Even has a section on lounges!!! Will be helpful when we want some quick service other than a burger. We could just mail it to you when we get back in May. (if you can wait that long) Won't need it again for a few years. We have to go home to Disneyland next year.

I have now started a pin collection for Hollie! I will have to take some pictures and post them. But, when we were down there in November 2007 a very nice CM gave her the 2nd half of a tinkerbell pin. The same one that was given out in the Disney Mom's club packet sent out for the first ones who applied. Well, I bought her a Scrooge, Roger Rabbit, and Cinderella one. So, I am trying to get her a good collection before we go!

There's 11 days we can play with there since the kids are out for a week then the weekends surround that. All we have to leave is $25 per family no matter how long we stay just to cover the gas/electric. Talk about a cheap vacation! We can buy our own food and cook at the house if ya'll want. They really do!!! Its so funny how they favor each other!
I still need to talk to Chad about that! I know the money wouldn't be a problem since that is an awesome deal!!! I just know we will be turning around and going to Florida a couple of weeks after that!
Hmm, Sidney can teach Chad since that boy can't cook for his life!!!!!!!! I came home one night after we were first married and when I opened the door, he met me there and told me to wait a second. I looked up and smoke was billowing out of the door!!! I came inside and he had made me a grilled cheese. The pan was BLACK!!!!!! It had the imprint of the sandwich on it!! I had to throw it away!! The sandwich was really good once I scraped the black burntness off. I will tell you this, that was some majorly melted cheese!!!:rotfl2:

If you get 'Ohana at the right time, then you can go out on the beach and watch the EWP and Wishes. It's a great place to watch from!
Have you read much about the luau? I thought about it, but I read a lot of posts that said younger kids would much like it or it was a little too long or it was too expensive for what you get. We'll probably get to it someday, but I think we'll wait until the girls are around the 8-10 year old mark.

Oh wow!! I didn't think about that! Hollie would love the EWP! I remember in 1994 when me, my mom, my grandmother, my aunt, and my little cousin went and we stayed at the Poly! I sat on the balcony every night watching that! It was so fun!
I have actually done the luau 7 times! I have done the older one before they changed it 6 times and then the newer one once. It was good but I miss the old one where they had a lot more dancing instead of the acting part going on. That was our main concern if we thought Hollie would watch it and sit still or not. It is expensive! I remember one at one time Chad and I ate there and it was only $30 bucks a person! We sat in the first tier this last time and it was I think, $57 a person. The food was really good though. I know that there is a lot of mixed reviews and I have read a lot of bad ones but we really enjoy it. We would like to take Hollie but not if she isn't going to sit still and enjoy it. One year Chad and I went and this family sat next to us. They ate the food and then got up and left before the show started!!! No way!! If I pay the money, I want to stay until it is over with!!
We love our breakfast!! lol!! I think that is really the only time I eat a good, nice breakfast besides Christmas day at my parents house! :rotfl2:

You'd be the expert then. I've read a lot of reviews as I have researched whether or not we should do it, and most of them say they'd choose Hoop-De-Doo over the luau with little kids. Most said the food was good, but pricey.
I would love to stay at the Poly someday! We're going to be in WDW next New Year's Eve, staying at All-Star Music again probably, but we're going to go to Poly to watch NYE fireworks. I checked into just getting a room for the one night so we could have the day there and then just walk to our room when it was over instead of fighting bus crowds, but the least room they have is $560. I couldn't pay $560 for one night, so I guess we'll be letting the little girls have late naps in preparation for a late night that night. It'll be worth it, because I watched the NYE fireworks on a guy's webcam from Poly, and they were incredible!

Okay...WTH? I am so confused. Are you going to Disney sometime soon now? Our trip is on girl and I have to make a counter but PLEASE go when I go!!!! March 5th-12th! We need to talk....you need to get an annual pass. Why you don't have one yet I do not know. :worship: I'm going to email you.
....So funny about the black sandwich! :rotfl2: I can cook really good. I just don't want to. I will sometimes but I prefer not to. I need to go email you...
lol!! I know, it seems like its forever away doesn't it!!! But, we are going November 16th through the 22nd. I am really excited!!!!!
I think I need to talk Chad into buying AP's! If he was finished with school and was working it would be a done deal with getting them...
Yeah, I have to say that cheese was really melted..:rotfl: I used to love to cook and could cook good. Now, its just easy stuff since I work later and then get home and do things with Hollie. Maybe someday I can stay at home with her! :goodvibes
I can live with that plan! :rotfl:
Oh, I know I could!:lmao:
I have read the same about HDD being better for kids. Maybe we should try it instead and wait till Hollie is older for the luau!
that is my dream to stay at the Poly again! It was just so nice! I love it since I love all things tropically!! (Hmm, I think I made up a word!!) :lmao:
I know I will have to watch those next year! I bet they were gorgeous!
plans sound good!
i contemplated starting a pre-TR for my december 2010 trip but i figured i'd run out of things to talk about in about, oh, march of this year! :lmao:
I know, that is the hard part is coming up with things to say on here with my trip! :rotfl:
But, once the MVMCP dates are released I know I can do plans then! So, until then...you guys will be entertained with other pictures tonight!:rotfl:
oh wow..I'm gone for a few months and so much happens! I was so sad to hear you had to cancel your Feb trip...but excited that you're getting to go in Nov! :) Subscribing!
I know!!!! How have you been?:goodvibes

i've never been to the luau but i LOVED HDD! it was fun for the kids because it's really interactive AND it's fun for the adults. there is a little bit of adult humor in there (but nothing that the kids would pick up on) and unlimited beer, wine and sangrias!!!! me and erica are about to start on our last day of our TR and that's what we did for dinner that night, so you will be reading about that whenever we get to it.

I definately recommend Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's! Hollie loved both of those so much!!!! We will definately be visiting both of those in November. O'hana's breakfast is also a good one!

i know heather already recommended CP, CM and ohana's breakfast. but i also wanted to mention tusker house breakfast at AK. we did that last trip and it was really cute - they did a dance parade for the kids with donald. and the food was GOOD! the characters were donald, daisy, mickey and goofy.

I feel the same way!!! It seems like November will drag getting here. But, we will be in Gatlinburg soon, then we are going to PCB with my parents in April, then we are at our lake house every other weekend through the summer, so hopefully it will get here fast!

Okay, so these pictures were made while we were driving up Nature Trail road. Just don't look at the dates on them! We visited the wax museum 2 days since his parents arrived late the first night we got there!

Okay so after that we drove up the nature trail road! Well, funny story! I put my window down to take some pictures. Now, mind you there was snow and it was freezing!!! I pushed the button to roll it up and it wouldnt' budge!!!! The window had come off of the roller upper (I am not a mechanic, so I don't know the words!:rotfl2: )
The only thing we could think to do was drive to a car place to see if they could fix it. We had to drive to Sevierville and the first place we stopped, recommended the one we finally went to! Now, this was how I had to ride down the road!!

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b359/hlrababy/gatlinburg/346086785306_0_ALB.jpg
The sweet man who came and looked at my car, said that it was just stuck.
So, he tried to push the button to roll it up and it wouldn't budge. So, he grabbed some pliers and pulled it up and taped it really good until we could get it home to get if fixed!! It has some bright lime green tape!!!!:rotfl2:

i used to have a honda civic that did this ALL THE TIME. ray would have to take the inside paneling off the door and fix it. he said it was coming off track. i eventually sold that car to my little brother and when it did it to him, he was too lazy to fix it and so he rode around with either the window down all the time or with a garbage bag covering it. :lmao:

:rotfl: :rotfl: That is SOOO funny!! We had a car window taped for a while, a couple of years ago, because we thought it was going to cost SO much. Finally found out that it cost $150! That's it? Hi, what's up? :wave2:
Those mountains are beautiful. I love the pics of you in the snow. It's so funny you consider snow a neat/cool thing. I'm soo ready for it to melt away. We had black ice several days this week and in one 2hr span we had about 200 accidents. We had 4 men rushed to the hospital in one morning this winter for heart attacks (from over exhurtion from shoveling mass amout of snow). Very pretty to look at but after Xmas it can go and I'd be fine with it. :rotfl2:
I will admit I missed it when I lived down south, but I didn't miss driving in it. :rotfl:
We will have lots to talk about until November, we always do. :lmao:
Have you bought anything on Ebay lately?
I got Lexi an autograph book for our trip. I'm so excitted I found the other Build a bear princess dresses she was missing. (Jasmine, Belle and Mulan) She already has Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Snow White, Tinkerbell. I even got her the Mickey ears and tee. They only sell them in DTD in California, so they are hard to find. She wants to dress a bear in a different dress each day we are there, very cute idea since she is too old/big to wear the princess costumes herself.
I've changed her bday theme again.
It went from Chinese/Mulan to Build a Bear. The only problem was I could only get the party stuff from one company online and the shipping is crazy to Canada. Then I would have to pay duty taxes ontop. Too much $$$.
I was shopping this week and came across Mickey & Friends party stuff. So it's now a Disney bday! She will love it. I'll dress her BABs in the princess dresses and put party hats on them. I went on Ebay and they have tons of stuff to decorate with. They even have a bday Mickey plush that sings. Her bday is April 7th so I have lots of time to order stuff. Come to think of it I should have stuck with BAB, I'll probably spend more money with this theme...:rotfl2:

Yes I keep buying Hollie some pins. I found some cute chip and dale with the tie dyed cheesecake and the dole whip! They are so cute!!!
Ooh, cool!! That sounds like an awesome birthday party!! I have actually decided today what Hollie's will be this year. She told me Tinkerbell. We were listening to the Selena Gomez song from the Tinkerbell movie, "Fly to your heart" She knows the words to it and loves to sing it at the top of her lungs. Speaking of that movie, we have watched it a total of 5 times this weekend. Does anyone else get teary eyed at the end of the movie? I cry like a baby!!!!! I just love that movie!!!

Now, a little background on this! I loved the Dukes of Hazzard when I was a little girl!! I had a huge crush on Bo Duke (John Schneider). Well, a couple of years ago Chad and I went to the races in Atlanta. As we were walking around, I saw a car and who I thought was John Schneider standing next to a car. So, upon further inspection we walk up and it was him! Well, this lady standing next to me (who was very professional looking) asked me if I would like to help them with a Dukefest Commercial they were doing. Of course I said yes!! So, as John was teaching someone to slide across the car like he did in the show, I had to walk beside him with a microphone. They actually sent me a copy of the commercial on DVD. Its really funny when you watch it actually. So, with me loving John, I had to get this picture!

Next we went to the wax museum! Now, I have a ton of pictures from them. Nevermind the date on them. We actually visited the place twice. Once the first night we got there and then the next day with Chad's mom and stepdad.

I have definately decided, along with Hollie, that she is going to go to the Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique again. When we go on our trip in October, I might take Hollie and our niece Hattie to get there hair done. My plan is for us to go to MNSSHP and then we will get there hair done before we go so they can wear their costumes. Then when we go in November, Hollie will get her hair done before the MVMCP. She actually said she wanted me to get mine done with her. Which, I don't have a problem with it. I could just get the disney princess hairstyle (if my hair is longer) and I will already have my makeup done. I might even just tell them to "add" a little of the makeup to mine! :rotfl2:

That was my favorite too along with the Wizard of Oz!!! It was funny because as soon as we done there we went and ate at Bubba Gump's!
It was so freaky!! I didn't get my picture with linda blair until the 2nd day. I just looked at Chad and I kept saying, I don't want to go up there! What if she spits pea soup at me!!! lol!!!
The LOTR's character were horrible! I was very disappointed in them and was really looking forward to them. Of course, if they really looked like them I would have tried to steal them!!:rotfl2:

I can just see it now -- I would have started screaming and Charles would have laughed and laughed. :rotfl: One time, when I first moved to Georgia, he took me to 99X's haunted house (I can't remember what they call it -- it was probably 1995 or 1996). Its called Madame Tussuards, its a major tourist place, and so expensive, about £25 each. You are literally in there an hour, its fun, but not worth the money. Would you recommend going to this one?

I love your pictures, they are great. I love the Hugh Hefner one, he is especially life-like. We have a place in London a bit like that, you may have heard of it, its world famous. Its called Madame Tussuards, its a major tourist place, and so expensive, about £25 each. You are literally in there an hour, its fun, but not worth the money. Would you recommend going to this one?
Oh and what exactly is Cooters?
Thanks girl!!!!! I have heard of that and I have always wanted to visit one of her places!! Everything just looks so good!!!
I would definately recommend this one we went too. It was a little expensive, I think it was $21.95, but it was cute!
Cooter's is a museum type place for the Dukes of Hazzard tv show. The guy who played Cooter in the series owns the place. He usually shows up and does autographs and stuff. Its a really neat place if you liked the show. They have several cars and other things from the show.
Growing up, I LOVED the DOH too...that's so cool that you were asked to help out with the commercial....how fun!
Your wax museum pics are hilarious!!! :lmao: DH and I have very similar pics from when we visited a wax museum in Vegas......
Awww, cool!!!!! I will have to post the picture from it. It was so fun!!
Aww, I would love to see your pics from the Vegas one!

Okay, here are some of the pictures from the commercial for DukeFest I was in. It was really fun!! They actually sent me a copy of it and I am going to figure out a way to upload it so I can put it on here. It wasn't shown on regular tv, only at racetracks during the Nascar season. But still, it was fun! When I first saw him, I looked at Chad and said, "Its B-freaking-Duke" Of course being the smallville fan that he is, Chad thought the same but then added, "Its Jonathan Kent!" lol!! I know, we are geeks!!

I watched Taladagga Nights (sp?) this weekend so I got an extra laugh at that one.
You are so good at capturing the poses with the figures. Very entertaining. You must have a good time looking back at them. :)
Wow, you met a t.v. legend and got to be in a commercial too. Of course he picked you, I'm sure you were the prettiest one there.
A Tinkerbell bday sounds fantastic. I couldn't think of a better theme. :tink:

Thanks for the information. I don't think we ever had Duke's of Hazzard over here but I did see the film with Jessica Simpson a while back :lmao:. You will have to fill me in on Ober Gatlinburg and take lots of pictures. We planned to go there last time but didn't have time so are going to this year but would love to know everything there is to do there.
Maybe you and I should gatecrash one of Hef's parties one day so we could meet him. Maybe not the Midsummer Nights one though unless you want to go in your underwear :confused3

That's awesome! My BIL is a singer with Shane Bridges and his band. He's friends with Ronny Milsap's nephew(I think its his nephew). Long story short, Ronny got a pair of alligator or crocodile boots as a gift and didn't want them so his nephew gave them to Nick. Very cool and flashy boots that were custom made for Ronny. Isn't that so cool? And Ronny listened to Nick's CD and loved it. I really think Nick will hit it big someday. He's a mix between the look of the Jonas Brothers (He's only 20) but add in some country and rock and roll. He sounds like Dierks Bentley and Keith Urban but more bluesy. Shane has had some songs played on the hills and other MTV shows.

Wax museums always give me the creeps. We didn't go to the one in Gatlinburg. We did go to one in the Wisconsin Dells area. It's funny how some of the figures are dead-on while others are way off. Probably different artists.
We did the Haunted House. It wasn't that bad. There is one room that is totally dark. You have to find your way out of it. So buy the cheap little light before you go in.
I love the shots of Hollie with the big puckery lips. Do you imitate her, or vice versa?
My DH would be so jealous of your meeting with John S. He loves that show and watches reruns when he finds them.

Me too!!! My parents have a 72 juke box and there are all kinds of good music in it! It's funny, I am 32 and I love older type music. I always have! The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, etc. My fav Ronnie song was "Stranger in my house". Love it!!

So, it wasn't that bad? I just don't like them touching me. I totally get freaked when I can feel them breathing on me! :sad2:
I think its a mixture of us imitating the other!!:rotfl2:
Awww, they used to show them on CMT for the longest time. We were sad when they took it off. He was such a nice man!!!!!! Funny story, I am all about smells. Its some weird thing with me. Oh, and we can't forget the Nanny! Yes....I said it right. They are taking the Nanny because younger niece won't go to Halloween Horror Nights. So, they are bringing their nanny to play with Hattie and Hollie. We are staying at the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal. Now, nothing against the nanny, but we only leave Hollie with my parents. So, I don't necessarily know if we will let Hollie stay with her. But, with Hattie staying with her I know Hollie would in a heartbeat. She LOVES her cousin!!! But, we will see!

Okay folks, I talked to my sis-in-law the other night! She has booked our trip for October!!!!! WHOOO HOOOOO!!:cool1:
So, its going to be SIL, dr boyfriend, my 2 nieces, maybe his 3 kids if they aren't with their mom, younger BIL, younger SIL and her hubby, and possibly FIL and S-MIL!
Oh, oh, oh!! the good thing about it..........WE ARE ALL GOING TO MICKEY'S NOT-SO-SCARY HALLOWEEN PARTY!!! :cool1: pixiedust: :cheer2:
Girl, That is so exciting. I know what you mean about leaving Hollie with someone other than your parents. I'm the same way. I'm soooo jealous that you get to go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. That's my goal. And little does my family know (if I ever do get to go), I will be dressing up. Whether it embarasses them or not. :rotfl:

Sounds like you are going to have a great time. And I am so jealous you get to go to MNSSHP, I wanna go . When you say FIL and S-MIL is that different to the ones you went to Disney with? Have you stayed at Hard Rock Hotel before? We are staying st Royal Pacific but we like the look of Hard Rock too :confused3
Oh yeah, its the different ones from Disney last year. It's Chads real dad and his wife, Chad's stepmom. I am really excited!! We have never been to MNSSHP before!!! We have never stayed at Hard Rock Hotel so I am really excited!!!!
I have always wanted to stay at the Royal Pacific. You have stayed there before, right?
First of all... HOLY CRAP on whose going! That's a lot of famdamnly time!! And, a NANNY??? Wow!

I know, right!! That is a crowd!!!! Plus, the dr. boyfriend's business partner and his wife and son are going as well. So, there should be around 16 of us, and that doesn't include dr's kids if they are at home!
Chad's sis decided that every year in October she wanted to do something all together. See, long story short, we just had them come into our lives 4 years ago. So, we all like to get together as much as possible. It will definately be like the clampetts when we all get together!!:rotfl2:
Amy (older sis) and our 2 nieces are actually coming into town next weekend for a concert. So, Hattie (10 year old niece) is actually going to hang out with Chad and Hollie while I go to the concert with Amy and Lex. Then Saturday we are going to the Ga. Aquariuma.
Our dates are Thursday, October 15th through Monday, October 19th. The only thing Disney for that trip is going to be MNSSHP! But, I am excited about it!!
I still haven't made too many ideas and plans about our November trip. I just have some ideas about ADR's, but it depends on the dates of MVMCP.

I just worry about things happening, ya know! When she is with my parents I don't worry for nothing!!!!!
I am so excited about MNSSHP! We have never been!! We plan on getting Hollie and Hattie an appoinment at BBB to get there hair and makeup done!
I want to dress up!!!!! I am thinking maybe Wendy and Chad can wear some tights and be Peter Pan, while Hollie is Tinkerbell!!:rotfl2:

Yes we have, last year. It is a beautiful resort, quite quiet and tropical. And we had a great room with a view over the pool and IOA. We thought we would stay there again as we know we really like it, plus our favorite restaurant is there, Tchoup Chop. We are so excited to eat there again :cheer2:

The funny part was the texas chainsaw guy! When you got close, his chainsaw went off!!!!
I had to join in on this pre-trip report. We live about 1 hour from Gatlinburg and we went to the Wax Museum in October. We posed with alot of the figures as well but it took alot of coaxing to get DS to pose in the Horror room, especially after hearing that chainsaw. I had to explain to him that it was fake and show him how to pose. I love all your pictures from the museum, looking forward to more.

WOW! That is quite a group going! I'm careful with who I leave DD and DS with as well. Do you know the nanny? Maybe you could meet her before the trip and get a better idea of her capabilities. It may help you with your decision to leave DD.

You'll love that pool. There's a big area of chairs surrounded by beautiful greenery right there at the zero entry point - a wonderful place to sit and watch the kids play.
I'm still trying to talk my bunch into going to BOMA. I think I might be able to talk them into breakfast there, but they're not so adventurous as far as the dinner menu. I bet when I finally do talk them into it, and I will someday, they'll end up being very happy they tried it! Will you take lots of good pictures of the food to help me out in my quest??? :)

I haven't booked our Gatlinburg trip yet! Chad went to the doctor last week for his back and they are going to do some more epidural shots in his back. The first being the week we were originally going to go to Gatlinburg. Plus, my washing machine totally died yesterday! I went to throw the clothes in the dryer and they were soaking wet!!!! My dad came over today thinking that maybe it was the belt that needed changing...nope! That would be too easy. He couldn't figure out what was wrong, so he is going to this place in our town tomorrow to find out if the guy he knows (who owns the place) can tell him if it can be fixed. If not.....that means a new washing machine!

Sorry to hear about Chad and his treatment. It really stinks about your washing machine. There are just certain appliances that you can't live without in your home. I hope he's ok. I've had epidural shots---they aren't fun at all...hurt like crazy too. I had major back trouble a few years ago..it just took a lot of rest and some physical therapy..
He had them a couple of years ago, and they really helped his back! We just wish that there was something that could be done to help him. I pray for a miracle daily!!
That sux!!
I love the Hercules picture! I used to never miss that stupid show. I just watched 'cause Kevin Sorbo looked darn cute in those leather pants!
It does, but if it happens it happens! We have to get a new washing machine this week. But, I am okay with it!
Awww, thanks!! I loved that show too! He really did!!:rotfl2:
Loving your report! it's helping me to write mine haha!
Awww, thanks and :welcome: If you need help in any way, I am here!!:thumbsup2
Thanks!! He is 5. I have to say that it is so cool that you met John S. I grew up with the Dukes of Hazzard and loved him on Smallville!!
Awwww!!
It was really awesome!! I loved that show and I am addicted to Smallville!
Ooo...I hope Chad's back is ok! And bummer on the washing machine! Mine went out a few months ago and it was a huge pain. We had to completely replace the whole unit (which is a stacked washer and dryer). :rolleyes2
Best of luck with it!
Aw, thank you! It looks like we will have to get a new one, but Oh well!!
Sorry to hear about Chad and his treatment. It really stinks about your washing machine. There are just certain appliances that you can't live without in your home. My garbage disposal has been out for 4 months. But, I'm dealing with it. A washing machine is a little different. I'd have to live at the laundry mat.
Oh, and the whole, "yu wan sum..." thing:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Thanks! He had them a couple of years ago and they helped with the pain. I hope that soon he can get better!
That is definately something you can't live without! I am already having withdrawals!:lmao:
LOL!!!!! Fri rice good fa yu!!
Fooey on the washing machine. :guilty: If you want you can always join us at the Mtns for next to nothing. We'd have to get food and stuff but you have to eat anywhere you go.
I can not believe the f=game has been canceled. I am so bummed.
I know, right!!!
I am telling you, if its not one thing its another! But, anything thrown at me I can handle!
I am so upset about the game!!!!!!! I was looking forward to spending the weekend haning out with you guys....oh...and um....stalking! :rotfl2:
That picture is even funnier, I love them both. I hope I get to go to Disney on my anniversaries, you are so lucky.
That sucks about the washing machine, I hope you manage to get it fixed. And I hope Chad's back gets better soon, poor man. And I hope you still get to go to Gatlinburg, that would not be good if you have to cancel again.
Aww, thanks!
It does, I think we are going to have to buy one! But, there is nothing I can do about it!
Thanks, I pray everyday for his back. I feel bad for him being 33 and having a bad back.
Hope Chad is ok. Those epi shots are never too much fun.
Also hoping your washing machine can be fixed. I hate how things break around the house just when you're ready to book a vacation or do something important!
:rotfl2: at the Hercules pic!
They aren't fun at all!!!! He had some a couple of years ago and they helped, but he just feels sore right afterwards!
I do too!!! It seems like that is when they decided to break!! :rotfl2:
Yes those epi shots HURT...That needle..OMG!! Needles don't normally bother me, but this one sure did!!!
He handled them like a champ last time! We had just hoped that he would never have to get them again! But, that isn't the case.....:sad2:

I'm sorry...I had a herniated disk about two years ago--I have daily problems but I don't let it get me down. And I still go on the rides at amusement parks :) Hope he's okay though.

I hate to hear that!!
Chad's unfortunately could have been fixed! His mom was told he had scoliosis as a child. She didn't do anything about it! I can promise you, if I was told my child had something like that, I would fix it instead of partying on the weekends. Okay, off my soapbox now......
So, Chad hurt it worse while working. He had 2 discs that completely ruptured and they had to fuse them together. The doctor told him last week that the disc's above the ones fixed were going the same route as the other two....we just hope for a miracle!

Oh, oh, oh!! the good thing about it..........WE ARE ALL GOING TO MICKEY'S NOT-SO-SCARY HALLOWEEN PARTY!!! :cool1: pixiedust: :cheer2:
OMG,that is a LOT of people!!! YAY that you are booked now!! :cool1:
Another funny picture!!!
This was taken on our 1 year anniversary, which of course, we went to Disney!!!!
I laugh everytime I see it!! Chad hated it!!!!!

The characature (sp?) was so funny to see. :lmao:
Have a good time picking out a new washer, cause there's always :laundy: ! :rotfl:
I'll pray a miracle for Chad too. It must be awful to have constant back pain. Is the epidural shot the same as when you are in labour? When I had mine it numbed my legs so it can't be the same. It would be great if he could become healed. :grouphug:

Okay, so I am subscribing to your thread……You are a hoot! I can tell that you are a southern belle, as am I. I have been reading your PTR for the past couple of days, and you remind me of ME! I live right outside of Memphis, so Gatlinburg is always a great long weekend trip option for us as well!
So, I am planning my first family trip (as an adult). I went with my parents growing up and in high school for cheerleading, but this will be the first time since 1997! I am, and always have been, obsessed with all things Disney. We are booked for Nov 29-Dec 4 2009 at Pop. This will be my DHs (31) first time to WDW, and we will be taking our DS (3) he will be 4 by then. My Mom and Step-dad will also be coming with us!
Can’t wait to keep reading!
Prayers for Chad!

Just wanted to welcome the new southerner along!
Hello from just north of Nashville! :wave2:
I hope you'll enjoy being a part of the DIS family. You'll meet a lot of nice, friendly, helpful people around here.
Don't judge everyone by Heather, though. She's a little on the wild side!!!
Naaah, just kiddin'. She's a good one.
And if you ever lack for costume ideas, you're in the right place.

Heya how are you? And how is Chad feeling with his back? I really feel for him, I had some back problems before and know how much it can hurt. Luckily mine wasn't that bad, and nothing serious (I hope anyway) but it still really hurt. Anyhow, have you any new plans for any of your trips?

Good luck to Chad with his back! My mom (shes 45) had back surgery after countless numbers of cortizone shots in her back did nothing for her. The surgery was the best thing she's ever done she said. I hope Chad's situation doesn't come to that but know that there is a way for him to not be in pain anymore! :grouphug:

Hello MeMom! My Mom, that is going with us, lives in Franklin TN (right outside of Nashville)!
Thanks for the welcome :flower3: , I cant wait to chat about my obsession, WDW! All of my friends, including my family, think that I have lost my mind....I cant go a day without talking to someone about it. Now, I have people that will listen without thinking that I am a looney toon! You all seem super sweet, and I cant wait for any tips you can throw my way!
By the way, Heather's wild side sounds right up my alley, she is too funny!:rotfl:

He likes the shots because he feels better for like a week. Then that is it!! I couldn't imagine being young and having a bad back. He's a man, so he still does what he shouldn't do!
He actually had back surgery in 2005. They fused 2 discs back together and the ones above those are looking bad. I just pray he doesn't have to go through the surgery again. If by chance he does, I really hope it helps him better than the last one. Who knows, by then they might have a new kind of surgery!

No, I have slacked!!!! I haven't even made reservations yet! My mother is wanting to go up there when she knows there will be snow, so I haven't really planned anything yet. Chad is supposed to have his shot the day we were gonna leave, so we might have to put it off for a couple of weeks. But, its okay because I think we could find a room anywhere up there.
Hollie is getting ready for a Cinderella Ball she is going too Saturday night!! I will have to post some pictures. All the girls get to dance with Prince Charming, go riding in a carriage ride, eat little sandwichs, etc. It will be really cute!!!
How is Miss Sophie doing?

Whoa!!!! Miss Sophie is one busy chick!!!!!!!!
I actually went tonight and bought 2 more dresses for Hollie to choose from. My Aunt used to own a bridal store and she closed it down 2 years ago. Well, all of her dresses are still in storage and she sold me 2 dresses for $35 bucks!!! They were both originally $90 bucks a piece!!! So, we are going to let Hollie choose which ones she wants to wear. We have those 2 and then my mom ordered a cute princess dress that should come in tomorrow. I asked Hollie if she wanted to wear her Belle christmas dress (just to wear red) and she informed me, "Mommy!!! That is not a Cinderella dress!!" :rotfl2:
