Well...it has quit raining but its supposed to start back again tonight. Right now, they are in the process of cutting the water off for precaution. There were several main water lines that broke and they are afraid that the water will be contaminated so they are shutting the water off for a few days! Too bad my parents closed up their swimming pool!
I am trying to keep a positive attitude about it because number 1, me and all of my family still have our homes and not one of us have been hurt! That is the most important thing to me! Who cares if I can't take a bath in, gulp, 2 days!!!
I am lucky in the fact that my parents have well water, so we won't be going without baths. But, it just blows my mind with all of this. I feel so bad for everyone who have lost family members and their homes.
Six flags is actually under water right now. I am gonna post pictures soon!

I'm glad you and your family are safe! A good friend of mine lives in Atlanta near the airport ! She rode down a road near the airport on her way to the docs and her car went under water!! But the good thing is her and her children got out unfortunately cars are expensive but replaceable! I seen that story on the news about the 2yr old baby that the father lost grip of and floated down stream and drowned!:sad1: soo sad! And then another where The one family member drowned then later the same day a cousin in the same family drowned it's all sooo sad!!:sad1:

Oh my goodness, I am so glad that your friend and her babies got out!!!
I am really hoping that the rain will miss all of us and stop soon! I am grateful for rain but I dont like it when people are losing their family, homes, etc.

I am a fellow Georgian. I am so sorry to hear you live in a hard hit area from the floods. I live east of Atlanta; about 16 miles east of Stone Mtn park. Of course we got tons and tons of rain but there are no rivers or large creeks near here. Funny thing is about 10 miles (Lilburn) from here many people have flooded homes and there are other major flooding issues from the Yellow River.

I have seen all the reports on TV and my heart just breaks for all the families that have lost loved ones and the ones whose home have flooded.:sad1: It is hard to believe that this is happening around Atl. I have lived here my whole life and I can't remember anything like this. :sad2:

Oh wow, those pictures are crazy! I'm just up the road in Chattanooga, and my DSS goes to school in Catoosa county. They were out of school on Monday and Tuesday. Luckily, we live on a hill and only had minor water seepage into our back room/laundry room at home. Since our house is so old (built in 1940), we did have some water damage from the sheer amount of rain we had but we're so lucky!

Those pictures were unbelievable! I would have been so terrified if I was driving on the interstate and had no way to turn around. Those people in those cars were so brave! My heart goes out to all the families who have been affected by this storm and esp to the little toddler's family. :sad1:

Oh I know, it has just been awful!! I am glad the rain has held off and it hasn't gotten any worse! I heard that yellow river lost some animals that were in cages...so sad!

We don't have to boil our water anymore!!!! Yea!!!!!!!!!

Now, let me tell you a story! My mom is the city clerk in our hometown...well she kept me up to date on most of the stuff happening with the water (thank goodness she works there!) So, when she called to tell us that we would have to boil our water before we used it, this was the conversation that came from it. Now mind you, I AM A PANICKER!!! I panic if I have to do anyting out of the norm...seriously!!!! If they say there is a tornado watch, I am at my front window watching like crazy waiting to see if I see anything or hear the sirens. If they say there is snow coming, same thing as above! Now that you know, you will see that I tend to freak out. Its what I do...and I do it good. Here was what happened:

mom: Hey Heather, you need to start boiling your water in the house.

me: Why?

mom: Because there were a few main water lines that were damaged and busted so just for precaution we are going to put a water boil advisory out. In case it was contaminated.

me: (me talking a little bit louder) OH MY GOSH, I DRANK SOME LAST NIGHT...AM I GONNA BE SICK?? OH MAN, MY STOMACH HURTS!!!! OH NO..OH NO....I THINK I FEEL SICK!!!! DO I NEED TO DO SOMETHING??? I BRUSHED MY TEETH THIS MORNING WITH THAT WATER!!!!! OH MY GOSH, WHAT ABOUT THAT BATH I TOOK THIS MORNING!!!! DO WE NEED TO BOIL THE WATER BEFORE WE TAKE A BATH????

mom: (after she picks up the phone and I can clearly hear her laughing....) No Heather, you do not have to boil the water before you take a bath!! I have to go......(I hear laughter) I love you..(more laughter) click

The rest of the pictures are of us before dinner! We went to eat at Boondock's..OMG!! If you ever go to PCB you have to eat there! Its the best!!! After dinner we went to the dog track. Hollie had so much fun!! She sat down by the fence and made some friends with a little girl and her brother. After every race Hollie would turn around and yell, "Daddo, did we win??" :lmao: As the races were getting started, she would turn around and yell, "Hey daddo!! I pick dog number 5." or she would pick another number. Needless to say, she kept everyone entertained!

It was a little chilly this time when we went. I would say it was probably around 75-80. When I go on my girls trips in April/May its usually around 72-80. It was sooo pretty this time around! I just love a clear ocean with no seaweed floating around! :lmao:

Our next trip is gonna be to North Carolina to ride the Polar Express on the smoky mountain railroad. Then after that, we are going to Santa's Land the next day. I am excited! I love staying in Cherokee!!

Chad's mom and stepdad drove through some of the areas in Cobb this weekend from the flooding and she said it was so sad. People were gutting their homes and just going through stuff. It was awful!

Morning!!!!!!!

I have a long weekend ahead of me, or I should say full!! We are going to my parents house tonight (no surprise, I go there about 3 times a week anyways! haha) because my mom has made me my most favorite cake in the world......key lime poundcake!! YUM!!!!! Why you ask?? Because 33 years ago tomorrow they were blessed with a funny, loving, sweet-as-candy daughter like me!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Tomorrow we have a birthday party to go to at Chuck E. Cheese, I laughed and told Chad I am spending my birthday with the mouse...not quite the mouse I want too, but still! Then we have another birthday party for Saturday. Whew...thats a lot of birthday parties!

Counting down till our Polar Express trip...6 weeks!!! Woooo hoooo!! We found out that Santa's Land will be closed when we go :(
We were sad about it, and we are maybe thinking of going to Dollywood that Saturday. We love Dollywood!!!

just looked at those flood pictures. i think you sent me some through e-mail, too. those were crazy! i felt so bad for the people that had such horrible damage. we got lots of rain but nothing like that at all. the only thing that happened around here that i heard about was that an assistant district attorney was coming into the office that saturday (i think it was 9/19 maybe?) to prepare for a trial the next week and she hydroplaned and flipped her car. she was all bruised up. but no flooding here. i pray all those people are able to cope somehow!

HAHAHAHAHAH I knew you would like those! That was the first thing I said to Chad, that I knew you would love the bird pictures. I was just afraid they were gonna poop on one of us! I can't stand seagulls just for that reason, mean little poopers!!!

just looked at those flood pictures. i think you sent me some through e-mail, too. those were crazy! i felt so bad for the people that had such horrible damage. we got lots of rain but nothing like that at all. the only thing that happened around here that i heard about was that an assistant district attorney was coming into the office that saturday (i think it was 9/19 maybe?) to prepare for a trial the next week and she hydroplaned and flipped her car. she was all bruised up. but no flooding here. i pray all those people are able to cope somehow!

by the way, LOVE the goofy pictures of you and hollie and hollie and her grandpa! so cute.

Oh wow!! I am glad that she wasn't hurt really bad and that it was just bruising! I am so glad its getting back to normal around here and also Cobb, Douglas, and Fulton County!

Its gonna be a busy weekend around here! I am getting up super early tomorrow to go help Chad's mom with there subdivision wide yard sale. I took some things over there tonight to put out and price. So, I am gonna be there early. Then tomorrow night we are going to a Halloween Party if Chad feels up to it! Then Sunday, Disney on Ice!! Woooo hoooo!!
His birthday was this past Tuesday and he actually woke up Monday with a bad cold. We thought it was the flu and he went to the doctor. He actually had the symptoms of the flu, but it was a severe cold. He finally isn't running a fever anymore thank goodness!!

I just love her dressed as Alice! She decided to be Alice for her school festival and then she will be Tinkerbell this Saturday.

Its funny because they don't really freak me out that much. I don't like scary things. I am a big chicken and Chad used to have to beg me (like on his knees) for me to even go in a haunted house! But, for some reason they don't scare me that much and I think its because their movies tend to be more comedic than scary...now if you were to put a Jason, Michael Myers, or a creepy clown in my house and I will jump out the window!! :scared1:

Oh, my mom bid on a cute pettiskirt at a silent auction for flood victims. She won so Hollie got to have a custom pettiskirt in any design she wanted! The lady does a really cute job!! Hollie's coupon was for a pettiskirt up to $75 dollars! (I am glad she won it!)

Walgreen's had a Disney carving set for $3.19 the other day. I didn't buy it, but now I'm wondering why. I guess because I haven't carved a pumpkin in a while, but for three bucks, maybe I should have it in case I do one again.

We had a field trip, too, but it was indoors. It was kind of a gloomy, misty day here. The trees are so pretty. It was the kind of day that made me want to come home and make a pot of chili, but I already had ribs ready to go. Maybe this weekend. :)

Walgreen's had a Disney carving set for $3.19 the other day. I didn't buy it, but now I'm wondering why. I guess because I haven't carved a pumpkin in a while, but for three bucks, maybe I should have it in case I do one again.

We had a field trip, too, but it was indoors. It was kind of a gloomy, misty day here. The trees are so pretty. It was the kind of day that made me want to come home and make a pot of chili, but I already had ribs ready to go. Maybe this weekend. :)

I will definately be posting some pictures tomorrow of the field trip! Hollie enjoyed it so much!!

Hey everyone!!

I am gonna now post the pumpkin patch pictures! I have apparently lost my voice. I had a sinus cold for 2 days and started to feel better. Then I woke up this morning and my voice was gone!!! :scared1:

The day of Hollie's Pumpkin Patch trip it was a little cool that day. They had called for some rain but I was hoping it would hold off. We went to meet the other kids at Carlton Farms. Its a cute farm! They have milk cows, goats, pigs, donkeys, turkeys, etc.

Here are the girls walking between Chad and one of Holliie's friends dad. This was coming back from the chicken coop. Funny story.....they were looking at the chickens and then this gust of wind blew and I immediately had to walk away!! OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!! It was awful!! Hey everybody!!

I hope you all had a great weekend!! I was just thinking that Disney will be here before we know it!

In 3 weeks I will be going to see New Moon at the midnight showing (wooo hooo) then getting up super early that same day to go to Cherokee!! I am sooo excited about it!!! I am really looking forward to the mountains and then going to Dollywood.
Then the next week will be Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving and spending time with my family. Then of course, we have Black Friday the next day!! My 2 best friends, Pam and Audrey (aka the twins) we get up around 4 am and head out to go shopping!!! We have so much fun! We head to the mall and get whatever we find great deals on and then hit Olive Garden for lunch. Its just our little tradition we do every year. Then 2 days later we will be on our way to Disney!! Yay!!!!!

I am hoping we can find a great bounceback deal. Chads mom is already talking about doing a trip next year in Sept/Oct so we can do Mickey's Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party! I also have Pam wanting to go at the same time.

Only 13 more days till the mountains!! I am so excited! I went yesterday to find me some Christmas pajamas to wear on the Polar Express. Hollie insisted that we all have to wear them. Chad's older sister is down there right now. They are staying at SSR and are having a blast! They went to DTD last night and ate at Planet Hollywood. I went yesterday to find me some Christmas pajamas to wear on the Polar Express. Hollie insisted that we all have to wear them. I thought it was a really cute idea. As did my mom and sister. hey, heather! i had to share this with you. i called yesterday to make michele's reservation for mason for the pirate league. she wanted me to verify two things: one, that she could be with him at all times (what you and i talked about yesterday) and, two, how long it would take. she didn't want to be standing there for 3 hours.

well, first of all, i call the number and i'm on hold for about 8 minutes. then when i get someone, i ask the CM who answered if the parent could be with the kid at all times. she goes, "um...well, there's a pirate adventure they take them back for and i'm not sure about that." i said, "is there any way we could find out because my client absolutely does not want to do it if she can't be with her son at all times."

so she transfers me to someone else to find out. the man who answers the phone has a thick accent and i can barely understand him. i ask him the same question. he goes, "are you talking about the pirate cruise?" :headache:

i said, "no, it's called the pirate's league and it's new at the magic kingdom." he goes, "hold on one second."

so then he puts me on hold and the voice on the automated message tells me that the wait time is now 12 minutes!!! :headache::headache::headache:

mind you, i had to use my cell phone because it's a 407 number and all of this is eating up my minutes.

so i hung up and called the travel agent line (which is a 1-800 number and i can use my land line FOR FREE). i knew they wouldn't be able to help me but i figured they could transfer me to someone that could and i don't mind being on hold as long as it's not eating up my cell minutes. of course the lady i got there had no clue what i was talking about but she finally got me to someone who did. sheesh!!!! :confused3

I always wanted hot pink luggage that had brown polka dots on it. I actually found a big rolling suitcase just like that on sale along with the large train case. There is this place called Razzle Dazzle! They have the cutest luggage!!! They usually have a 5 piece set for $200 bucks. The biggest one (the one I got) is usually like $100 by itself and the train case was $50. I got them both for $65!!!!

I actually got both books in the mail! So, now all I have to do is remember to pack them! ;)
