Kids are excited they want a snow day! I work at an institution for Disabled men and I am considered essential and expected to be at work no matter what! :sad2:

We're doing great! I'm just counting down the days until we leave for disney. Everyday Brad says he wants to leave today or that he just wants to be at Disney. I completely agree. Plus, it's that time in the semester when all the assignments pile up and it seems like everything is due at once. Yuck! I hate the second half of the semester. I'm only taking two classes but there's a lot involved since it's graduate courses.

I am 100% sure that we are leaving early in the morning like ya'll do. I was thinking that we should leave at 3 am instead of 4. I just hope it doesn't take a long time to get our room. We do have an ADR at San Angel at 1:30 so we'll be out at the parks for a while but it would be nice to have a room. We shall see!

Yes, SW is one of my favorites, its just all so amazing. If you get like that just petting a dolphin you should think about maybe going to Discovery Cove when Hollie is a bit older. We love that place so much, its like heaven on earth :cloud9:. Ah Seuss land is great, I LOVE it :lovestruc. Its so bright and colorful and there is so much to look at. And not a single path in the land is straight. The best ride is One Fish, Two Fish, its such fun :banana:

I believe you can goto the ticket and transportation center and catch the linx bus then maybe transfer to the Trolley ! I believe this is what we did in 2005 a lil rusty remembering but you can always ask at the resort also and not very costly at all! When you get to the TTC goto the window and ask they will tell you and the bus drivers are usually very helpful also!

Yes, SW is one of my favorites, its just all so amazing. If you get like that just petting a dolphin you should think about maybe going to Discovery Cove when Hollie is a bit older. We love that place so much, its like heaven on earth :cloud9:. Seriously, you have to go one day. The dolphin swim is amazing. I have done one in Cuba too, which was great, but at DC you just feel so safe and they tell you so much about the dolphins, their training, and how well they are looked after. But the dolphin swim is just one small part, the whole day is just a dream. The first time we went I thought it was going to be a 'Once-in-a-lifetime' trip, and I really had to convince my Mum, but we loved it so much we HAVE to go every time now. We couldn't go to Orlando and not DC, it just wouldn't be right :laughing:. Seriously, everything is thought of, and its feels so natural, laidback and beautiful, its just amazing. And they only take 1000 people a day so is much quieter than all the other parks. Go :thumbsup2

The snorkeling is amazing. The area is huge and has such colorful, beautiful fish and great big rays. There are some really deep bits and it is literally like the bits in Shark Tale and Finding Nemo when they come to the crossroads and there are just hundreds of multicolored fish, its amazing. The bird bit is great, they have a few different sections which various birds, and you can feed them and they land on you. The staff are really friendly and help you out too. The bird bit is also above the lazy river bit so you swim through the birds which is really cool. Then they have a nice warm pool area, a ray pool where you can pet and feed rays, a restaurant and a few snack/drink bars which are all included. It is just so good, I cannot wait to go back.

You will all absolutely love it, and it is such a magical place to spend a birthday. I spent my 21st birthday there and couldn't think of a better place to spend it. My Mum surprised me with the birthday package and I just felt so special all day. The first time we went we surprised my little sister with a trip there. Even after we got there she didn't realise we were going to swim with the dolphins until we went for the talk just before and it suddenly clicked. It was so cute, she actually cried.

Its just like a miniature train thing but has no roof, and it goes along this thin track. However it goes quite high over the water and your only on this little track thing with nothing else. It looks pretty tame but scared me way more than the Hulk :laughing:

Okay, I think I have some semi plans for both of our trips!!

October trip:

arrive Thursday, Oct. 15th. We are gonna go to MNSSHP that night!
Friday, October 16th: Halloween Horror nights possibly that night or the next. Just whichever day they do it.
Then on both days we are gonna enjoy Universal Studios and Universal Islands.
Then come home on the 18th.


November trip:

Arrive on Monday, Nov. 30th. We might take Hollie to Chef Mickey's or 1900 PF that night.

Tuesday, Dec. 1st: More than likely rest

Wed. Dec. 2nd: Magic Kingdom

I do too! All I do is sleep and shower...and I love those huge icons. When we stay in the nice places I feel obligated to use the resort. KWIM? Which in Nov/Dec we will play at the resort a lot. There's so much to do over there. They just built a brand new pool too with a big slide and everything. Maybe one night....like after we cookout we can all go to the Campfire singalong together. That would be FUN! Would you be willing to split a cani with the MIL? If so the rates are really good....if you get a 40% off code you can get them for $159 a night! If ya'll split one of them that's less than two rooms at the value. You will be on one end of the cabin while they're at the other end. You even have sep doors to go in and out! Look into it! Poly is not all that great. Don't get me wrong I LOVED that view..OMG it was sweet but that resort needs a majot overhaul AGAIN!

I wanted to say thank you for all of you who have stuck around with me here! I know I am boring right now since it is over 6 months till my first Disney trip, but I promise once it gets closer it will get more interesting! :goodvibes

I have been saving pics in my photobucket account for the past 2 days! I got an email from my kodak account saying that if I didn't make minimum certain amount each year, all my pictures will be deleted. The problem with that is I print my own pictures at home! I have the kodak picture printer and then also a scanner and photo printer that I use as well. So, I never think about going and ordering pictures. I have over 2,500 pictures in that account!!! I have till the middle of May to buy something or they will be deleted. So, I am trying to upload them to pb and also to snapfish. I plan on buying something before then but I want a backup plan..KWIM!

I work for the State here and we just found out we definitely have to take 2 furlough days one in may and one in june they call them furlough but technically it is a temporary layoff! :sad2:And then come the new fiscal yr which is July we have to take 14 more! :scared1:Unless our union lawyer wins the fight then we may only get stuck doing the 2 in May and June! It's a breech of our contracts because it is technically lowering our salaries! So who knows i'll make it work at least I still have a job.
So how did Chad make out with that shot a few weeks back? So when is your next Disney vaca! Free dining was released today so that makes mine seem that much closer! :thumbsup2! I'm trying to plan a late nov/early dec vaca but if things keep up at work IDK if I will be able to swing it unless I get a great code!! :scared:

I have Jimmy Buffet on April 16th, then we are going to see Wicked in Birmingham, Alabama on the 18th.

Then once that all gets out of the way, that means I can really start planning Disney! I will have my room booked, but of course, I can't do the dining reservations until August. Ugh!!! I miss it being 180 days......

Those dolls are TOO funny!!! It reminds me of my niece when she was 3. Her grandma bought them a talking frankenstein/monster doll. That thing was HER baby! she would carry that thing around the house, and put it to bed and everything you would do with a baby. My sister said that thing was the ugliest thing. No, its not that bad, we just don't get the best weather. On the plus side we have some beautiful countryside and beaches, and some nice, vibrant cities. You just have to go to the right places, and at the right time. Normally we have the best weather now in May as the Summer can be pretty hit or miss :guilty:

Last year we went to Myrtle Beach the first week in May, it was wonderful.

Your DD is adorable in those beach pics!!! I loved the beach scene! We went in 2007 when DD was around 3 months old and got her pic taken with her cousins... then we went back two days later and got our first official family pictures with beach scene too! I thought about that the other day. We were at my parents house and the birds were eating in the bird feeder. Well, Hollie likes to run in the yard and scream at them and shoo them away. This blue bird was just darting towards us and I ran screaming!! All I could think of was, "What Would Dawn Do?" :rotfl2:

We had our 3rd Annual Black Family Reunion today (my mothers dads side of the family) and it was at the same place we have Hollie's birthday party. Paulding Meadows. They have a craft show there every year. Its a really nice place. Lots of picnic pavillions, the enclosed one (where we had it) playgrounds, etc. There is also a creek that runs through the whole park. So, naturally all the kids wanted outside near it. We had a really good time. Hollie had fun throwing sticks in the creek and she also saw her first crawfish today. The expression on her face was priceless and I left my camera in the car!

I hope everyone is having a nice day!!! Hopefully soon I can start my planning!

Well I hope you get the snow if you REALLY want it. Luckily ours melted right away...although it was only in the low teens today. Too cold for April. We are having Austins 1st party indoors tomorrow, it is suppose to be 40. A heat wave! Still jealous of the photo studio! Sears canceled ours because someone had a funeral and then Austin cut his bottom lip open so we never tried the 1 hour here in town. I am going to see how they turn out at Grand Floridian. I can always have them taken when we get back.

So, I talked to my SIL today. They just got back, (well, her boyfriend, his kids, and she) yesterday from Orlando. They had rented a house for 18 people!!! Yikes!!! Well, she told me that the day they went to US, they decided to check out the Hard Rock Hotel to see how it looked. She said it was awesome!!!!! They also checked out the Portafino Bay hotel as well. Well, her boyfriend told her it was her choice wherever we were gonna stay in October. She said she really liked the hard rock better. She took some pictures so once she shares, I will share!

So.......today I was talking to the MIL and she said that Jim wants to go on Monday to Orlando. I had to read the email 4 times!!
What did she say???? He wants to go down on Monday instead of coming down on Tuesday afternoon. Who is he and what has he done with the real Jim!!

Okay, that man hates to miss work. He never misses it! In fact, if you remember he had work to do when we were at Disney in November so they missed rope drop at Epcot. He said since Hollie was going, he wanted to see her and enjoy her enjoying everything. So, they are now going to leave early Monday when we do. But his stipulation was that he wants to do something that he has never done in Disney before. I asked her does that mean SeaWorld, Animal Kingdom, or DHS? She said more than likely DHS. But, it really surprised me he wants to be there for 7 days!!!

So, now I have to come up with something to do that Tuesday (which won't be hard for me to do:lmao:)

Then tommorrow we are going to My Parents for a nice Ham dinner and some Cake or Pie for the anniversary! Then in a few weeks when were free we'll do something for the anniversary! Next weekend is another busy weekend were doing easter at the in laws b/c my sil will be down with her kids. Then sunday my cousins baby's Christening. And I promised to help her get ready for that so I'll be busy!And I maybe getting a 14 yr old Foster Child by the months end I'll know more when the background checks come back! Which should be soon since i haven't murdered anyone or committed any crimes that I'm aware of! :rotfl:

Well...I am sitting here listening to radio margaritaville's live show of Jimmy's at Lakewood ampitheater.....THATS RIGHT!! I DIDN'T GO!!!

Don't ask me why, really I don't know! Other than we are going to see Wicked Saturday and we really didn't want to leave Hollie for 2 days this week. Not that she doesn't love going to my parents, but she would have been there all day today and then all day Saturday. We have to go to Birmingham to see Wicked and we are going to the 2 o'clock show. So, we are leaving pretty early.

its kind of depressing.....but I will also be at the beach in 1 week!! Whoooo hoooo!!

So, all my nice Buffett stuff will be saved up for next year! :thumbsup2
