Deals in July?

Because of a conference for work, I have the opportunity to go to WDW in July after the conference in Orlando is over. Seems too good to pass up. :cool1: I've been getting a lot of mail coupon offers for through June but nothing after that. Should I make a room only reservation for July and wait to see what deals Disney might offer later on? If we go, we'll want to stay on site and have the meal plan as well as park hopper tickets. I've never done a room only reservation before, but it is the best way to hold a reservation while waiting to confirm prices? I know July is high season, so maybe there aren't going to be any discounts? I've only gone in late August and late November in the past. Thanks in advance for any tips!!

If you're looking to book a package that includes park tickets and dining, I'd book a package now. That way, if any discounts do become available for your travel dates, you don't have to worry about changing the room-only to package; the package is already set up.

We have been there a few time in July and August. Generally, I book a room only ressie. To this point deals for July are almost non existant. Sorry. I agree with booking your package now. If something does come out you can make the change.

If you have a AAA membership you can get 10% off of a value resort room even in July. However, they only give that discount on a limited number of rooms so call immediately.

This year, so far, seems to be a little different so at least there is a hope of something for the summer.
