We have Ressies for 1/24 thur 2/1 at the Fort, and as usual with our planning we never considered the Superbowl.
Does anybody have any idea what that will do to the crowds at the Fort approaching Superbowl Sunday? Not that it matters that much since we are already committed......
Thanks!!

Crowds shouldn't be that bad. You are still in what is called Value season which equates out to smaller crowds at the Fort and the parks.

We have gone the last 2 years over the weeks during Superbowl Sunday, and very rarely have we had to stand in lines for any rides. Great time to go as far as I'm concerned. Have Fun!

Unless you go someplace like ESPN club, you need not worry. Nothing special is done for Superbowl at WDW, and Tampa is far enough away you need not worry about traffic. Unless you plan on going thru Tampa when you leave to go home. But, why would you do that?

I was at Disney the last time the Super Bowl was in Tampa (although staying at CR, not FW) and it really wasn't bad at all. In fact, game day was kind of a ghost town in the parks by afternoon - I guess everyone had gone back to their rooms to watch the pre-game shows or something.
I'll be at BWV this year over Super Bowl weekend, and I am not anticipating it to be crazy busy - maybe just a little busier on Saturday than normal. I think in this economy, a lot of people who are going to the game will consider that to be enough of an expense, and may not do the whole Orlando thing in addition to it. Regardless, like the OP, I'm committed to going, and no football fan is going to put a damper on my vacation.:woohoo:
