;) am really doin a good 'check and see' about bein able to go for halloween, but still have a few questions....
obviously, its cheaper to go outside of half term, but how busy is half term during the week?? is it quieter than the weekends either side of half term?
also - the festivities..... are they all on all the time, or are there any that are only on at weekends??? we ideally wud like to go wednesday to saturday, so that we can fit in mickeys halloween party..... but wanted to know if there were things that we wud only get to see on the saturday (as then it wud depend how long we stay in the park lol)
have read all the halloween threads and searched online, but not got all the info i wanted - so wondered if anyone has got the old schedule that shows all the meets and shows on??
also - what happens at the party (non scary one lol) and wud we 'have' to stay til the end, as not sure how long i can keep the kids going for (or how long i can keep going for!!)
any help appreciated in my quest for 'can we afford it & fit it all in!' :thumbsup2

It all depends on whether your school half term coincides with French school holidays - have a look in the stickies where you can check the French dates. I think my son's school half term is during the week including Halloween again this year, so it will definitely be busy, but I don't think it will be as bad as just before Christmas. Halloween itself seems to always be can't-move-kind-of-busy so if that is when the party is you want to go to, that's one of the busiest days of the year.

I have to say, I'd have loved to have been there for the MNSSHP this past year.
In the week we were there (1st week of Halloween season, Monday 6th October for 3 days), the shows in Frontierland (Goofy and the Magic Pot, the Pinata, and Minnie and the Bat Boys) was only on the Wednesday, and then the Friday and all through the weekend if I remember correctly. The Villains showtime in front of the castle was every day, several times a day (and is a real highlight of Halloween season for me :goodvibes ).
Hildasmuriel's trip report from October has a report and photos from the MNSSHP, and mine has the other shows on it :) .
I know you're looking for half term info - but you can get £100 off an onsite room/tickets package price for dates which include the first week of Halloween season, if you book by the end of April (obviously, the quicker you book, the more choice you'll have with the offer rooms). Having said that, you'd need to check when the first MNSSHP is scheduled, as that might be after the £100 off offer ends.
Hope this helps,
cap'njack.

I was there at exactly the same time as Elaine (only stayed slightly longer :cool1: ) I think I've got the programme of shows at home. If I have I'll scan it in tonight for you but as far as I remember Elaine is spot on (as usual) with the days of the shows. Most of them were on the Wed and Fri but the Villans show (which was the best of the bunch for us too) was every day four times (I think)

thanks for that (cap'n that wud be fab if u still had the schedule!:thumbsup2 )
elaine - had a look...... if we went on the monday, wed either have to have 4 nights, and then stay for the party and leave during to drive back...:scared1: or 5 nights..... which wudnt be too bad (£632) but not sure if u can then get shareholders on top of this??? also, the hb wud be alot more due to more nights lol am torn......
mnsshp is on 9th, 16th, 23rd, 27th (3 fridays & 1 tuesday) but of course going in half term wud be an extra £100, and busier......
i think i like the idea of leaving on the saturday - as i guess we cud have a lie in after the late night the night before, then check out, then go to the park and do anything thats weekends only (maybe winnie the pooh show will still be on - as havent seen that yet!!) and understand that it will be busy (maybe leaving on 17th might not be too crowded with ppl waitin for half term the following week??)
to go on wed 14th til 17th (3nights) it wud be £532 (and then 10% shareholders off) so not too bad.....
do shareholders get money off the party?? thought id seen sumthin in my searching that said they did get a special deal, but cannot find full info!! also, with shareholder discount - do we have to wait til a couple of months before to book, or can we book now???
am off to hunt for ur report now elaine, as not sure if i read it or not :confused3

I realised after I booked for March 9-11th that it opens on the 28th and I was planning to go for opening weekend. Oh well...Kacee will have to wait until our planned trip in May.
Spoilt little monkey, March will be his third trip in 6 months and he will (hopefully) have had five in 12 months by the end of October!

we went the 13-18 of october and it was quiet enough. we actually thought it was busy till i talked to other people lol. the longest wait in the park was only about 25 mins for rides like btm. that was the busiest it got. i dont remember anything on at the weekend that wasnt on during the week. although i would recommend doing what we did which was having the friday your last night. the mnsshp was the last memory we had of the park and it was a nice way to say goodbye. i would definately do it that way the next time. what info on the shedules are you looking for so i can think back lol
oh and i still have my mnnshp schedule upstairs i will dig it out for you later.
i loved mnsshp it was from 8-11 and ash only fell asleep just before we were leaving. she wanted to go on the carosel one last time and we walked in and i was carrying her. it was going around and she was waving and said buh bye babbas and i looked down and she was fast asleep bless. there were characters everywhere. the whole atmosphere was amazing.

The clue is in the title of MNSSHP - it's Not So Scary - so it really is a night suited for younger children and it ends at 11 pm.
The Halloween night party is as scary as Disney ever gets and adults are encouraged to dress up in as fantastic cotumes as they want. There may be special shows and/or parades and it goes on longer.
Oh and it costs more.:rotfl2:

Hi, no it's no the Adagio, it's just a private apartment I found on holiday-rentals.co.uk. It is a 2 bed apartment & is costing EUR800.00 for the week in July for the 6 of us. It doesn't have a pool, but it has its own garden for a bit of outdoor space. :)

I was looking at a 1 night stay, the 16th coming home the 17th, would cost £240 without the Eurostar.
Its very tempting, esp if i get Eurostar for £65 and then pay a extra £20 each for the MNSSHP tickets.
I will decide when i see how much money I get from Kyra's dad at the end of the month and how much i need to save to pay off September.
Means i wont have to pay out for a Birthday party i guess.
