I haven't had a chance since Christmas to play with my new external flash and let me tell you, I really like it. With the flash bounced off of the ceiling and one of the Gary Fong diffusers on, it looked like a photo I took in almost pitch black was taken in full daylight, with hardly any shadows to be found!
All of this being said, my dilemma was that upon opening my manuals, I realized that both were written en espanol. Needless to say, I didn't read the "don't look at the flash when you are testing" part because it was in another language. :scared1:
.....ouch. I swear (which I don't do often)....I thought I was blind. I couldn't see for a few minutes afterwards. Stupid mistake, I know...but now, more than ever, I understand the importance of reading the manual BEFORE doing anything with your equipment. :goodvibes

Thank you! I ended up finding that after the fact. Once the spots had faded I told DH that I really had to find a version that was in English do I didn't do any permanent harm to myself :rotfl2:

Santa brought me the SB600 too but I'm still shooting film so the results are still in the camera!
(I did get a manual for BOTJ Spanish and English though!)
MMmm. maybe next year Santa will bring something digital to to pair up with the SB600!
Looking foward to seeing your results.
