I have ressies for DC with my 8 y.o., now my 5and 1/2 y.o. son is putting the pressure on that he wants to go and swim with the dolphins. He is a big 5 y.o, always being mistaken for being older, he is in swim classes now and is a good swimmer for his age. But the age restriction is 6 years old. Has anyone ever stretched the truth about the age of a child in order to swim with the dolphins? I know he could go and do lots w/o the dolphin swim but that is an expensive ticket.

My then 5 (tiny) year old did it last year. She is a very good swimmer- independent in the water so I was very comfortable with her being there. No questions asked about her age. I think it depends more on the little ones ability to swim more than the age but i could be wrong.

I did and they never asked me my children's ages. I also think they are just wanting your child to be able to swim and handle themselves with the dolphins and follow directions.

hi, my dd was 5 and half & she did dolphin encounter. she was
a big 5 also so we decided to risk it, she was a good swimmer
otherwise i dont think i would have risked it.

only problem was we rehearsed her to say she was 6 which wasnt
a problem as she never got asked but comin home
goin through immigration my dh & dd went through together as they
have same name they were stopped and she was asked a few questions, one being her age ahhhh im thinking she gonna say six, this was about a month after madeleine mccann went missing, but she had forgotten by then.

see as i always tell my kids it doesnt pay to lie lol
