Anyone heard of the Pop Century Resort?

I was looking through my son's Walt Disney World for Kids book and they list it as one of the resorts by Epcot & MGM studios. I've never heard of it before. I tried doing a search but it would accept to word "pop" (too short).

Anyone have any info on this?

It's the new value resort, along the same lines as the All Stars (big icons, no frills). It was due to open last year but has not.

It was supposed to open early this year, and those books go to the publisher sometime early the previous year so they can be in the stores by October...so at that point, everyone thought that PoP Century would be up and running. At this time, no firm opening date has been announced. They are still working on the resort, however, and it is possible if things get back to normal that it may open sometime early next year. It is quite similar to AS, as far as oversized icons, inexpensive rooms and no frills.

Date is not known. Looks cool though, but not great.
