Hello. I'm trying to narrow down my dining selections for my trip. Like always, we have to many choices. It seems to me that Trails End Restaurant in Fort Wilderness and Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge seem pretty similar. They are both "all-you-can-eat" and have similar environment and food. :confused3 Maybe I'm wrong- its just from what I'm getting from what I've read. But I need your input- Which one is better? Or which one do you prefer? Why? Also, I heard that one of them- have a loud playful atmosphere? Lastly, does either have good breakfast? Thanks!

We have breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe on every trip. WCC has the loud playful atmosphere that you're describing. I've eaten at Trail's End twice, once breakfast, once dinner, and was unimpressed.
If you're going to WCC for breakfast, the breakfast skillet is the best option. That's the "all you can eat" part. The rest of the menu is ala carte.

We went to WCC in September for dinner--we didn't like it. We thought the food was terrible (Dh actually got sick eating either the chicken or ribs from the skillet--it was the only two things I didn't try); there was very little of the antics that everyone talked about (although this did not concern us that much as we were two adults); and the service was terrible. We were there almost two hours.

Have never been to Trails End, but our family wasn't too impressed with WCC. It was too hyped. The food was no good. I wouldn't recommend it. FWIW.

We didn't care much for the food or environment at WCC. Trails End on the other hand we loved (it is a buffet, where's WCC isn't). There are some pictures / reviews of both places in the link in my signature if you want more in depth!

My family ate at WCC last June and it is now my kids' favorite restaurant. We were there for dinner and the antics were hilarious. My "shy" 8 yo son was running ketchup to far tables by the end of the meal. Now, if they just wouldn't throw straws at home..... Also, we enjoyed the food.

WCC is one of our faves! Trails end was okay but nothing really stood about it. Just your standard buffet.

We did WCC last year, and if we go this year, I'm pretty sure I'm goping to try and do it again. We really liked it and left so full. Also the shakes (i beleive or maybe a smoothie?) were included on the dining plan. We had a great waitress. She wasn't too rough on us as we had a small child but the table next to us really got it, and DD loved watching that. She also made me a shake to go and boxed my dessert up. She was really good to us. DD also did the pony express and loved that. Never tried the other resturant, so maybe we'll look into that one too.
