Tracy, I think many of us need to take our stress to the Lord and not the frig. Its a hard lesson but you are making progress! Bumps along the way are lessons.:hug:

I also think its great that your dh can fix things, I hope you find that part! Dan is not the handiest of guys so we took out a home warranty that covers all our appliances, furnace, ac and garage door opener. $39 a month but it covers things. I got so tired of having to have a service call to replace some 39 cent part that cost me $100!

I hope your early spring lasts, its nice here too. Don't know about you, but I am done with winter, here's hoping winter is done with us!

Have a really good weekend and get some time to relax!:goodvibes

:banana: for good weather, completed surveys and DH who can fix things. :banana: completely why you took the day off. Thursday we went out to lunch and all the guys were looking at the sky, going "why are we going back?" They all had either tennis or fishing on the brain.

I remember having to look for heater parts one winter. I had this real old heater and sometimes I would have to take the front cover off and use a flat head screw driver to move a part on the motor until it began spinning on it's own. Sometimes in the middle of the night I would get so frustrated. Took about 3 weeks to find a new motor. Thankfully my dad was very handy at stuff like that. This was before the internet and we had to call places. One of my friends finally found it for me.

I'm sorry you are so stressed. :hug: Wish I could help. :hug:

Thanks Amy and Lisa. :grouphug:

We had a busy, but good weekend. On Saturday, my DH and I worked on cleaning his office and on getting caught up with work stuff. After that, we took the girls out to eat for dinner and then we took a two mile walk at a local park.

On Sunday, we went to church and then my DH worked on the car. After that, we went to DQ and the four of us split a large Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Blizzard. We drove around a bit, came home, made dinner, and watched the movie, Despicable Me.

I woke up this morning not feeling well. :( MAJOR headache and tummy troubles. :sick: I'm giving the girls some independent work to do for school and then I'm going to try and sleep this bug off. If I feel better later on, then I may try for some surveys and DIS for awhile.

Hope everyone has a nice day today!:wizard: Happy Spring! :sunny:

Hey Tracy, I hope you are feeling better. That does not sound like fun! Great job splitting the blizzard! Blizzards and me go wayyyyyy back.;) Not sure I could split one lol.

Is your spring weather still holding?

It's been a long couple of days...

* I was sick on Monday. Took it easy most of the day and started feeling better by evening.

* On Tuesday, I went to the doctor only to find out that the lab messed up the test AGAIN. :headache: That means I have to do the restricted diet again and give another urine sample in order to determine why there is so much calcium in my urine. UGH. :(

* Yesterday, the girls were being less than cooperative with me and with each other. Also, the pain in my left side increased. I really need to find a new primary care doctor so that I can get a referral for a GI doctor.

That leads me to today....It's freezing cold outside. :cold: My poor DH has to travel for work today after a 16 hour work day yesterday. :eek: Plus, I still have the pain in my side. UGH. :(

On the bright side, I made SMPlus at SR, I'll be able to cash out for another $75 at the end of the month, the sun is out, and spring break is next week!:cool1: Now, we just have to put one foot in front of the other to get there. ;)

Hope everyone has a wonderful day today!:grouphug:

Bah! on the cold weather. :cold: I'm glad the sun was shining for you though and hope you warm back up soon.

Can you request that the doctor's office use a different lab? I can imagine how frustrating that has got to be, having to do that test again.

I pray you are able to find out what the pain is soon. Is it kind of at or just below your waist? I had that one time and the doctor told me to think about what I had been eating. Had I suddenly started eating something new or a lot of something that I normally didn't? I had started eating something new (can't remember now what) but I stopped eating it and the pain went away. I'm not trying to play doctor, just a thought.

:woohoo: on Super Member! :woohoo: That is so awesome! More $$ for Disney.

Prayers that DH made it home safetly. :grouphug: and take care of yourself.

Thanks Lisa. :hug: The other lab that my doctor's office uses is not on my insurance so we have to stick with this lab. Kind of a bummer, but I had a good conversation with the lab manager so we'll see what happens.

I spent the night in the ER last night. The pain in my side just kept getting worse and worse. :( They did a CAT scan and found no problems, except a teeny tiny kidney stone in my left kidney. (Same kidney as last time.) They gave me a lot of pains meds at the ER and sent me home with a prescription for Vicodin (sp?) and medicine for nausea. The ER doc thinks that the stone will pass soon. It's less than 1 mm. I am praying he's correct!

We stopped at my MIL's house and picked up the girls around 5:00 a.m. I slept for about 2.5 hours and woke up nauseous and jittery. Decided to stay up and get some work done. I can nap later.

I spoke to the lab manager at the hospital (different than the ER) where they messed up my labs for a second time. She credited my account for both lab tests and has personally notified all of her technicians about what has transpired. She said that if I call her before I drop off my next urine specimen, she will be at the lab that day and run the tests for me herself. She also stated that she has a gift card for me for all of my time and trouble. I'm glad the credits were issued and that my doctor credited my account for the doctor visit on Tuesday as well.

I've decided to start the diet next Saturday. We have a birthday party and my parents' anniversary this week and I know I won't be able to stay in the strict confines of the diet during those two events.

Today's Plan:
* Work for DH- We have a lot to catch up on. He was out of town for 2 days this week and we have lots of e-mails to send, schedules to coordinate, and invoices to complete.
* Start spring cleaning- de-clutter and de-junk
* Plan a couple of fun activities for spring break for the girls
* Do some summer shopping for the girls

I am so glad that the girls are officially on Spring Break!:banana: This next week will give us some space and it will allow me to figure out how we will proceed for the rest of the school year. It will be nice to have a few days off.:goodvibes

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!:hug:

Tracy, I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well again. Hopefully the stone will pass and your health will get back to normal! Good for you to get those credits for the bills. Sometimes you just have to put up a fight (in a nice way of course).

Good luck with your Sat. Diet Date. I know you can do it! I'll be jumping on the wagon too. DH and I have committed to going low-carb until Easter. We'll see...

Enjoy your spring break and above all-feel better!

Thanks Denise!:hug:

We had a busy weekend. On Saturday, we went shopping for some spring/summer clothes for the girls. They each got a couple of nice outfits for around $20 total. We have more shopping to do for them, but we were all pretty tired so we decided to hold off a bit. After we went clothes shopping, we went to Walmart for a few things, came home, the girls went to bed, and DH and I watched a movie.

On Sunday, my MIL took the girls to church while my DH and I worked on the furnace. My DH thinks he has pinpointed the problem. The good news is that we found the part on eBay. The bad news is that it costs a bit more than we expected so we'll have to wait until DH gets paid to order the part.

After the girls got home from church, we went to my aunt's house for my cousin's birthday party. Lots of good food and conversation. :goodvibes After the party, we came home and DH watched Inception (too intense for me) and I went into our bedroom and read some books. A nice end to the evening. :goodvibes

Today, we will be doing some de-cluttering and cleaning. I'd like to get as much done as possible today so that we can relax the rest of the week.

The girls have some fun classes at church in the week ahead. Each evening from 6-8:30, they have supervised activities and lessons for kids in K-6th grade. Tonight is a cooking class and they are so excited!:cool1: While they are in class, DH and I are going to either Wendys or a local coffee shop to sit and chat. We're looking forward to 5 mini date nights this week while the girls go to church and enjoy learning some new things!:goodvibes

Well, I better get moving. The house won't clean itself, unfortunately. LOL!:laughing: Have a blessed Monday, my friends!:grouphug:

Oh my, I don't get on here for a few days and you are in the hospital! I am so sorry you are going through this, I so hope this pain gets resolved soon. Please God, may that stone pass soon!

That sounds so fun for your girls and some mini dates for you and your dh just make it even better. I hope you guys had fun tonight at Wendy's! I love Wendy's this Lent thing is killin me!

Again, take care and I hope you feel better and thank goodness this lab thing seems to be sorted out. I hope that gift card is something good!

Thanks Amy!:hug:

Our cleaning/de-cluttering project is moving right along. We got our bedroom done yesterday and we almost got the living room finished as well. Today,we'll be working the living room, the girls' room, the bathroom and linen closet, and maybe my DH's office. So far, we've sent 2 bags of clothes and stuff to Goodwill. We have another bag almost filled already!:cool1:

Today's Plan:
* Cleaning
* Surveys
* SR Cash out
* Take girls to church
* Mini date night w/DH

Hope everyone has a great day today!:hug:

Good morning friends,

We are slowly, but surely getting the house clean and organized. :cool1: We still have my DH's office and the kitchen to go, but I am really happy with the progress we've made so far. :goodvibes

I cashed out for $75 at SR yesterday so that brings my March total to $125 in cash outs!:banana: I also checked our car rental rate through Alamo and the price dropped by over $60!!!:banana: I was very excited about that!:thumbsup2

We don't have any specific plans for today other than church for the girls later on and a mini date night for us. I'm not sure where we are going this evening. Last night, we ended up at McDonalds and had a great conversation about Disney. :goodvibes

Speaking of Disney, we are thinking about scrapping our plans for our table service meals and doing the QSDP for the Wilderness Lodge portion of our trip instead.

For the table service meals:
* We would eat at Chef Mickeys (dinner), Biergarten (lunch), and Whispering Canyon (breakfast).
* The cost with tips would be around $300 out of pocket for just those 3 meals.

If we do the QSDP:
* We would have 32 QS meals, 32 snacks, and 4 refillable mugs. (2 meals, 2 snacks per person per day for 4 days)
* The total cost would be around $470.
* We would still have a set of credits to use the day we switch over to BCV since the dining credits don't expire til midnight on the day we check out of VWL. We could use our snack credits at the Boardwalk Bakery as well.
* We would have some flexibility and wouldn't have to worry about ADRs.

I really think we are leaning towards the QSDP for the first part of our trip. For the BCV part of our trip, we would still eat a QS meal here and there, but we will have a rental car so we can go offsite and eat dinner at places like Sweet Tomatoes, Orlando Ale House, Giordanos and others with coupons.

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!:wizard:

Amy&Dan
03-30-2011, 04:21 PM
Tracy, honestly, full serve dining at WDW has gotten so stupidly overpriced its not even feasible for us anymore. Those tips add up big time! And with so many really first rate cs places (WPE comes to mind lol) why bother? We have done the QSDP the last two trips with #3 coming up and I am amazed at how much easier it is.

If you do the plan, go over to POR and get a pasta bowl!

I cannot believe how much Disney charges for the DDP, when you add in the tip its not a good deal anymore. Esp now that your dd is a ten year old adult!

So glad you and your dh are having some nice couples time while the girls have their fun time at church. Gotta love that!

Thanks Amy.:hug:

Yesterday was a long day. :( Extended family issues, SNOW, being tired, and not feeling well all contributed to a small meltdown yesterday. I am praying that today is a much better day!

Today's Plan:
* GYN appointment
* Surveys
* Disney planning
* WATP
* Church/ Date Night
* Count change jar

The money from our change jar will go towards our Disney dog sitting fund. While we are in Disney, my niece takes care of our dog and guinea pig for us. I always forget to budget dog sitting in my Disney budget though. :blush: So, this time around, I figure we'll put all of our change in the jar and see if we can't save the money for dog sitting this way. Our goal is $280 by December 1st. Anything we save over that can be used for fun things like miniature golf or Blizzard Beach (if we save enough!), or a Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream, or the arcade at POP (kids love that!), e.t.c. I am looking forward to seeing how much money we can save if we all throw our coins in the jar!:goodvibes

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a wonderful day today!:grouphug:

Long day today. :( I'm hoping tomorrow is a much better day!:wizard:

I did manage to get 7 surveys at SR today. Great start for the month!:thumbsup2

Also, remember how my 24 hour urine samples were sent to a lab that isn't on my insurance? Well, we found out today that instead of owing $1,000, we'll only owe $150. I know that the error isn't our fault, but I will take the $150 over $1,000 any day. :thumbsup2

I guess today wasn't a total wash. ;) :laughing:

We don't have a lot of plans for the weekend. DH has to work, we have to discuss the budgets (monthly, Disney, roof), and we'll go to church on Sunday. I'm not sure if we'll do anymore cleaning this weekend or not since my DD8 and I aren't feeling well. We'll have to wait and see what tomorrow brings.

Got on the scale this morning. :headache: Enough said. :( I'll get it together one of these days.

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a great weekend!:wizard:

The girls and I are sick. :( Headaches, sore throats, sneezing, and a general feeling of blah. :sick: We went to church, CVS, and Walgreens, and came home to chill out.

We had a great shopping trip at CVS today.:cool1: We got a bunch of stuff for $0.72! Our merchandise total was -$2.09 before tax. If the tax hadn't been added, CVS would have owed us money! LOL!:laughing:

Today's Plan:
* Church (done)
* CVS + Walgreens (done)
* Surveys (done-got 4)
* Disney Meeting w/the kids
* Relax and head to bed early

If we're all still sick tomorrow, I may extend our spring break a day or two.

Hope everyone has a nice evening!:hug:

Hi Tracy, I just caught up on your journal for the last couple of months. You sure have had a lot on your plate. I'm so sorry to hear you are not feeling well and that your side is still bothering you. I hope the pain meds are helping a little.

It sounds like you had a nice spring break with your family. I am jealous of your organizing and decluttering. That is something I really need to do around my house to.

I hope you are feeling better!

Thanks, Lola. :hug: I don't think the stone has passed because I am still having some pain. :( I'll just keep pushing the water and hope it gets flushed out soon!

The girls are still not feeling well so I canceled school for the rest of the week. Next week, we'll double up on lessons and should get right back on track.

Today's Plan:
* Work for DH
* Surveys
* WATP- 2 miles (DONE!)
* Sam's Club
* Pay Bills

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a nice Wednesday!:hug:

UGH! UGH! UGH! :(

My DH called me a couple of hours ago to tell me that the car is shutting down while he is driving!:eek: I told him to get a tow truck, but he said no. He'll try and drive the car home.

He has a BIG meeting out of town tomorrow that he can't miss. So, my dad will be picking us up in an hour or so to go rent a car at the airport. We'll have the car for a week so that he has time to go to the meeting and make repairs on our car. UGH. Why does this kind of stuff always happen when my DH has to go out of town?:confused3

In the meantime, the girls appear to be feeling much better now. How do I know? They have been arguing ALL DAY LONG! :mad: I'm really glad that they are feeling better, but I could definitely do without the arguing. :(

I really wish we were going on vacation soon. :( Only 7+ months now.....

Oh Tracy I am so sorry about the car issue. I hope you can fix it cheaply. I hate car issues. Keep us posted.

I am glad the girls are feeling better, nothing like the lovely sounds of arguring to remind you that life is back to normal!;)

It has been a long day here....Lots of laundry, haircuts for the girls and I, surveys, a birthday party, work for my DH, e.t.c. Tomorrow should be a more low key day.

We're expecting temps in the 60's and 70's for the weekend! Woohoo!:cool1: It probably won't last so we'll have to enjoy it while we've got it. ::yes::

My DH isn't feeling well so he hasn't taken a look at our car yet. Maybe tomorrow. I hope it's an easy and affordable fix. :wizard:

Good morning WISH friends,

The car still isn't fixed yet. My DH is having one heck of a time with it right now. I went ahead and booked a car rental for next week as well, just in case.

Speaking of car rentals, we saved another $50 on our December rental this morning!:cool1: I have been trying to shave some money off of our December budget and every little bit helps. :)

Today's Plan:
* School (only 31 more days!!!)
* Laundry (1 load left)
* Surveys (1/4 so far)
* Work for DH
* NCIS/NCIS LA

As if my poor DH didn't have enough to worry about, he woke up yesterday morning with a terrible toothache. :( I scheduled an appt for him for tomorrow. I hope and pray that it's an easy and affordable fix.

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a nice Tuesday!:hug:

Hey Tracy. Goodness you have been busy and lots going on lately. Glad the supervisor at the lab was so nice and willing to work with you. I hope you are beginning to feel better. How is DH since he had his tooth worked on? Was he able to get the car fixed? You have had some issues lately. Someone just told me yesterday, God does not give you more than you can handle. Thanks ladies! :hug:

It has been quite a week here. :( Here's a recap:

Monday- DH had an emergency tooth extraction. His pain level on a scale of 1-10 was a 20!:scared1:

Wednesday- We had to pick up another car rental. :( My DH couldn't fix the car because he couldn't lie down under it due to the pain in his tooth. :( I got the car for 2 weeks this time so that gives him some leeway since he needs to get caught up on work.

Wed. night- Thursday- Computer got a nasty virus. Spent almost 18 hours trying to get everything cleaned up and fixed again. UGH.

Thursday- Started passing kidney stone. OW!:scared1: The pain lasted for 2 hours (crampy, colicky pain) and then all of a sudden, no pain. I called the doctor's office and the nurse said that maybe the stone made it's way to the bladder and is waiting to pass. I sure hope so. That was REALLY painful! :(

So as you can see, it has been an interesting week here. ;)

Today's Plan:
* Go to my grandma's house for Easter
* Walk around the mall for awhile

Tomorrow's Plan:
* Celebrate Easter with my DH's family

If you could send some prayers and pixie dust my DH's way, I would really appreciate it. He is interviewing for a new position at work and has to travel next week for the interview. This would be a full time job that has enough flexibility that he can continue his business as well. Please pray that God would guide him in the right direction. Also, please pray that he can get our car fixed as soon as possible as well.

Well, that's about all from here. I hope you and your families have a blessed Easter weekend!:grouphug:

************************************************** ***

Linda- Thanks! :hug: My DH's tooth hurt quite badly. When the dentist pulled it on Monday, he said the antibiotics had done nothing at all. The infection was actually worse!:eek:

Denise- Thanks!:hug: Now that my computer is fixed, I can get online more often. :goodvibes

Lisa- Thanks!:hug: I really appreciate your words of encouragement, WISH sis!:goodvibes

Amy- Thanks!:hug: My DH's mouth is feeling much better. I'm starting to feel better too!:goodvibes

Amy- It's great to see you on WISH, my friend!:goodvibes I'm sending a :hug: and lots of prayers your way today. :hug:

Tracy, I pray that the stone has passed. I cannot believe how much you have been through with these kidney stones (and I bet you cannot believe it either). Is there anyway to tell if its passed or are they just too tiny to see?

I am so sorry your dh had to have that tooth extraction, but I am happy that now is pain is gone. It must have been absolute agony.

It sounds like you have a busy weekend with family, I hope you guys have some time to relax too!

Best of luck to your dh with this job, I hope it works out just the way you deserve it to!:wizard:

It has been another rough week. To quickly recap:

* Our oven isn't working. We need to buy a new one because the part to fix our current oven will cost about the same as a new oven.

* Our car still isn't fixed. My DH needs to replace the fuel pump now.

* The post office lost my DH's paperwork. :( As a result, he didn't get paid this week which means we are out of $700+. I am praying that they find the paperwork and get it to where it needs to go. Even if it does arrive, it will be another 2 weeks before we see that money. :(

* During the storms yesterday, we had a lot of shingles blow off of our house which means we'll need to replace our roof sooner than later. We planned on late summer/early fall. Now, I don't know what we'll do.

On the positive side:

* I had a good conversation with my mom yesterday. (That hasn't happened in awhile.)

* We managed to pay all of our bills and extra expenses this month, even without the $700.

* My DH landed safely in Illinois this morning!

I've decided that we won't be doing school today. We got up super early to get my DH to the airport and they could barely keep their eyes open. I'll have them do a math page and study their spelling words and that's it. We'll probably head out to the library and get some lunch in a little bit.

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

Tracy where are you guys located? That must have been scary enough to have the wind strong enough to pull off shingles,I can't imagine the devastation down there.My heart goes out to those people. Now we could really use the $400 million we sent to Haiti??? Now we need help-where's everyone?

Hope your skies are brighter this weekend and everything is working itself out.

We've got a very busy day ahead. Church, my grandma's house, and my MIL's house before the day is over. It has been a very busy weekend so I'm hoping that we can chill out a bit tomorrow. :)

Hope everyone has a blessed day today!:grouphug:

Thanks Linda!:hug:

We had a nice Mother's Day yesterday despite some drama from my mom early in the morning. I got hot pink roses, a Disney gift card, and my DH told me to go ahead and order a new Vera Bradley hipster as well.

We were very blessed with some nice weather today. Sunny and 70! :sunny:

Plans for the evening:
* Surveys (1/3)
* Clean off desk
* Budget for May
* Disney Planning (reward for doing budget LOL!)

Please continue sending good thoughts, prayers, and pixie dust my DH's way. He has the meeting about the job tomorrow with the owner of the company and we're getting a little bit nervous. Well, at least I am. LOL!:laughing:

Speaking of my DH, he thinks he got the car fixed! He's driven it around locally and will be taking it to work tonight for a longer test drive. I am hoping and praying that it's fixed! :goodvibes

Well, that's about all from here...Hope everyone has a nice evening!:grouphug:

Good evening friends,

My DH was offered the job!:cool1: They're doing some background checks and once those are completed, they'll send the contract out. Please send prayers that this whole process goes quickly and smoothly. :goodvibes

School is almost done for the year!:cool1: It will be nice to have less structured days in the very near future. ::yes::

I have been exercising pretty consistently the past couple of weeks, but my food hasn't been all that great. I need to start focusing on planning some healthier meals and keep moving. That's the only way this weight will come off! ::yes::

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a nice evening!:hug:

Hello Tracy

Happy Belated Mother's Day and Easter.

I pray this week has been kind to you. Have you heard about DH's job? When he will start? How absolutely wonderful for him!:banana: He is such a wonderful man who takes such good care of his family that he fully deserves this. I am so happy for all of you.

How are you feeling? Any more kidney stones? Did the doctor ever figure out what was causing them?

I hope you are having a great weekend and storm free. Those things have been nasty lately.

and just because.....:hug:

Hey Tracy, that is such great news about dh's new job!:cool1: You guys so deserve this and I just knew he'd get it!

I am betting you are indeed very excited to be done with school. What a long year this has been for you.

Hope you have been having great weather, after the winter its always so nice to have warmth and sunshine!

Good job getting that exercise in, now that you will have some time to think and breathe, you can plan some healthy meals and watch those pounds disappear for good!

Thanks Lisa and Amy!:grouphug:

I've not been feeling well this week. :( I've got some kind of stomach bug. I feel better than I have, but I'm still not 100% yet.

We are officially done with school for the summer!:cool1:

Still no word on DH's job yet. :( I'm concerned about that, but my DH isn't. He said that this process would take awhile and with the holiday weekend coming up, he isn't too concerned. I'm hoping he hears something soon!:wizard:

No big plans for the weekend... My DH deejays on Saturday and that's about it. We will probably head to the beach if the weather permits, have a picnic, and talk about our plans and goals for the summer.

Well, that's about all from here. Have a great day today!:goodvibes

Tracy-I hope you're feeling well again and were able to enjoy the weekend. I bet you're glad that school is over for the summer and a couple months of less structure awaits you. Enjoy your time doing fun summer stuff!

I'm sure that everything will fall into place with DH's job offer. When I took the position at my current company, it was quite some time before all the paperwork was completed and the screening results came back.

Enjoy your week and celebrate summer!

Did you notice?

I have a new ticker! :goodvibes My DH and I have been talking about doing a quick trip to Disney in September for a couple of weeks now. Well, he got the news that he is getting a bonus for one of the jobs that he completed and we decided to go ahead and book a trip! :cool1: We'll be staying at POP for 5 nights with the free QS dining plan. No parks this time though. We're going to save those tickets for December. :goodvibes We are all pretty excited to have a trip to look forward to in September!:goodvibes

Remember the job my DH is supposed to be starting soon? That fell to the wayside. :( My DH called the owner last Friday and he told my DH that he was sorry, but he didn't have enough money to pay him a salary. Seriously?:eek: I don't know why he made my DH go through all of those interviews and meetings and background checks if he wasn't serious about hiring him. He is supposed to fly in next week to talk to my DH, but we'll see what happens. I was pretty upset about it at first, but I realize that God may be closing this door for a reason, so I'm working on becoming more peaceful about it.

Today's Plan:
* Surveys
* Work for DH
* Laundry
* Walk or workout

As far as my weight goes, I am currently at my highest weight ever and I've been holding steady there for the past couple of weeks. :( I'm very uncomfortable right now. I'm going to start getting more movement in and watching what I eat more carefully. I have so much weight to lose, but I've got to start somewhere.

I would appreciate any prayers you can send for my mom and dad. My mom is not being compliant with her meds right now and isn't taking care of herself like she should be. :( My poor dad is under an enormous amount of stress at work and at home as well. Please pray that God would give them both peace and that He would cause her to choose to be compliant with her meds and well being plan of action. Thanks!:goodvibes

Well, that's about all from here. Have a great day today!:wizard:

Hi Tracy
As I look back at your posts I see I was telling you on 4/30 I hope all was well in your area-how ironic.

On Tuesday a tornado hit Westfield and surrounding towns-it touched down 6 houses away from us.We were so lucky I can't believe it.

This weather is scary.My grandmother always said it changed when we started going to the moon. Who knows she may have had something there.

Have a happy and safe summer

Oh Tracy. I am so sorry about DH's job. :hug: You are right though. One door closes and another opens. But very odd that he would do all the interviews and make a job offer just to pull it back. :confused3 Very odd. Something better must be right around the corner. Can't wait to hear what it is. :goodvibes So happy for you that y'all are going in September. We loved POP and with three pools there is plenty to do. DD loved the pools.

I will pray for your parents (and you). Strength for your Father to handle all he has on his plate and conviction for your Mother to take responsibility for her meds and health. Hugs to you my friend. It's hard sometimes to wrap around the idea that now we are taking care of our parents.

Thank you, ladies! :grouphug:

We had a really nice day today. We got some work done, I got some surveys, and we walked around the outlet mall for awhile. It was a nice, relaxing day. :)

Tomorrow, we'll probably head to the beach or maybe a waterpark. It's supposed to be pretty warm!

On Sunday, we'll go to church, meet some friends for lunch, and go to my DH's aunt's birthday party.

I weighed in this morning and could have cried. I gained 4 pounds last week! :( How is that possible? I will work on getting exercise in this weekend and drink plenty of water. Maybe that will flush some of the weight off.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!:wizard:

Tracy,

I am so sorry about your mom's current state, I will really pray for her, your dad and of course you.:hug: Are things any better the last few days? Just know we are all thinking about you in this very tough situation.

You and I frequently have so many parallels in life and your dh's job really brought to mind what Dan went through last summer all the way through the rest of the year. Being told he's more or less set with a company, doing background checks, yada yada only to have the whole thing fall apart. God did open a different door and its been a good one. I hope the same thing happens with you and your dh. Its such a weird, tough, impossible to predict job market right now. And so frustrating to think "awesome, we made it" only to find out "maybe not". God does have that plan for you and your dh and I can't think of two people who deserve His blessings more!

I love your ticker!!! I am so glad you were able to make this happen, what a great time you guys will have!

Lastly, don't despair. I know you can do this with your weight. Just remember there is no obstacle that you and your faith cannot overcome. You are such a strong and inspirational woman, I know you can and will do it! Just take it in small increments. Every journey truly does start with that first step. :hug:

Love ya friend! I'll miss you while I am gone and am so glad you guys will be at WDW sooner rather than later!:woohoo:

Thanks Amy!:hug: I hope you're having a WONDERFUL time in WDW!:wizard:

I got quite a shock today.

I was reading my journal from August of last year and came across an entry that had my weight in it.

I've gained 15 pounds since last year!:scared1:

Why? Stress, busyness, lack of focus, emotional eating, e.t.c. With all of the health issues I have had the past few months, I should have seen those as wake up calls and taken my health more seriously. I didn't though. :( I really, really need to lose weight, but most of all, I need to get healthy.

On Monday, I'm going to start Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds program. It's a 6 week program of walking, inspiration, and reflection. She suggests that you make exercise a habit before changing your diet. I think I'll stick to that. One change at a time. :goodvibes

Today's Plan:
* Surveys
* Work for DH
* Straighten the house up a bit
* Exercise

I am really looking forward to our trip in September. I know it will be a quick trip and we won't be doing the parks, but we'll have a chance to hang out as a family and just be. :goodvibes

Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!:grouphug:

Hi Tracy,

I like your idea of tackling one goal at a time. Where did you find the Leslie Sansone program? Our Comcast system has a couple of her walking workouts, but not the total program. I Wish you much success with it!!!!!

Those wake-up calls are tough to deal with but remember you are not alone.

Hey Tracy. How's it been going? How are you feeling lately? Since you haven't mentioned it, I have been hoping that you haven't had any more stones. Yes, your health is so important. I too like the idea of getting into an exercise routine first. One change at a time. :thumbsup2

How is your DH doing with the job cancellation? While we were all disappointed, I just can't imagine how he must be feeling.

I hope you have had some sunny days and nice weather to get out and enjoy after your cold winter and crazy spring. :goodvibes

Tracy, I just realized that you are going for free dining and yet, you aren't visiting any of the parks. Will you just be visiting other resorts and DTD to eat?

toystoryduo
06-15-2011, 08:52 AM
Thanks, Denise and Lisa! :grouphug:

We started Leslie's workout program on Monday. So far, it's going quite well. I got the program from her book, Walk Away the Pounds. It's a 42 day program of walking and walking using light weights. As each week goes on, she has you focus on things that are beneficial to your health. This week, she has you walk and take a multivitamin. Next week, she'll have you walk, take a multivitamin, and then keep track of water intake. Throughout the book, she posts motivation and health info. She also has you journal how you feel each day and a beautiful thing from each day. It's a great book! :)

Not too much to report...We're just plugging away on summer break and enjoying the down time. :goodvibes Please continue to pray for my mom and dad though. Sadly, there has been no improvement in my mom's condition because she continues to NOT be compliant with the plan her medical team devised for her. :(

Today's Plan:
* WATP Day 3
* Surveys
* Work for DH
* Disney Planning

We are under the 100 day mark for our Disney trip! :cool1: After all of the stress with work, school, and the situation with my mom, we are really looking forward to some time away. I know it's only a few days, but I think it will make a huge difference!:goodvibes

With the free dining, we do plan on visiting DTD and the other resorts for our meals. We plan on eating at places like WPE, Earl's, and the QS locations at the Poly, the Contemporary, POR, ASMo, and POP. We'll use the park tickets that came with the package in December.

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!:hug:

Good morning friends,

We had a really nice weekend! On Friday, we went to the beach and to Outback for dinner. On Saturday, we went to my grandma's house for a party and then to a friend's house for a party. On Sunday, we went to my parents' house to celebrate Father's Day with my dad.

Our first week on Leslie's WATP program went well. We logged in 6 miles and took vitamins daily. I also showed a 5 pound loss on the scale, but I suspect that was water weight from TOM. I'll take the loss though! :thumbsup2 This week, we'll be walking 9 miles and focusing on 8 glasses of water per day.

Today's Plan:
* WATP- 2 miles
* Surveys
* Work for DH
* Laundry
* Clean the car
* Start cleaning out the garage
* Baseball game?

We may be going to the Indians- Rockies game tonight. The weather forecast is kind of iffy so we're holding off on buying tickets until it gets closer to game time.

We are officially under the 100 day mark for our trip! Very exciting!:banana: We should have the trip paid off in the next couple of weeks. :cool1:

Well, that's about all from here. Have a great Monday!:wizard:

I can't believe it's Wednesday already! :eek:This week is just flying by!

On Monday night, we went to the Indians/Rockies game. Even though the Tribe lost, it was a great game! :goodvibes We had a ton of fun! I couldn't believe how expensive the food and beverages were though! :scared1:

Hot dog: $5.50
Bottle of Beer: $7.75
20 oz. bottle of soda: $5.50
Cotton Candy: $6.50

Yesterday, we got our walk in and I spent the day working on paperwork and budgets.

Today's Plan:
* Surveys
* Walk (unstructured walk day: goal=6,000 steps)
* Work for DH
* Work on cleaning the garage

We found a new way to save money for our Disney trips. On the dollar bill on the left hand side, there is a circle with a letter in it. If the letter is a "D", we put the dollar in our change jar. We call them our "Disney Dollars". It's a fun way to save money for our trip and the dollars really add up!:thumbsup2 The girls are constantly checking our money to see if we have one. :goodvibes

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday! :grouphug:

We spent 7 hours cleaning the garage yesterday and we're still not done!:eek: We did get a lot accomplished, but we still have a ways to go.

I woke up really tired and sore this morning. I did manage to get my WATP 2 mile walk in though.

Today's Plan:
* WATP- DONE
* Laundry- 1 more load
* Grocery List/Shop?
* Take a nap

Weigh-in is tomorrow and I'm not expecting a loss. We have had way too many carb heavy meals this week and I am feeling the bloat. I will push water today, but I'm not sure if it will make a difference on the scale tomorrow. :confused3

My DH deejays tonight (Yep, a Thursday wedding!) and he'll be taking some scrap metal/wire we found in our garage in to the scrap yard either today or tomorrow. More money for the Disney fund!:cool1:

I can totally relate to the weight gain wake up calls & the mystery weight. WHY does this keep happening to us??.

Tracy, I love your new plan. That sounds like just what I need too! I was just writing in Densie's journal that I am tired of doing things that are too complicated but what I like about Leslie is that she makes it easier. Sometimes the hardest obstacles are overcome with the simplest of tools. Food for thought!

I hear you on baseball food. That is why we never do stuff like that and why I still swear that even though Disney is expensive its no more so than other similar stuff.

Be sure and go over to Coronado Springs and eat at Pepper Market! You will have a gratuity (won't be over $5) but their food court is awesome. We did that one evening, Dan got a steak, I got a steak burrito and dd got a pizza. Its all made to order and a huge selection. And they seat you, bring you your drinks and the food is served on real plates. Its almost as good as Wolfgang Puck Express!

Still praying for your mom and dad, glad you were able to go over to see your dad on Father's Day, I know that must have meant a lot to him.

I love your disney dollars idea! Every dollar counts.:goodvibes

The past couple of days have been relatively quiet here. I've been working for my DH, getting some surveys done, and getting my WATP workouts in. The weather has been beautiful too. Not too hot and not too cold. :thumbsup2

Tomorrow's Plan:
* Surveys
* Grocery Shopping (what I didn't get today)
* Go to work with my DH (great mall near where he is working; no shopping, just browsing!)
* WATP (6,000 unstructured steps)

Weigh-in is on Friday and it's kind of iffy. I have eaten much better this week than last week, but my clothes aren't fitting any looser than they were before. :confused3 My guess is that I am probably the same weight as I was last week. We'll see on Friday.

Thank you for your prayers for my mom and dad. Things remain the same. :( Please keep those prayers coming!

Thank you, Julie and Amy!:grouphug:

I woke up this morning and weighed in. I am up .8 of a pound. I'm not going to sweat that small of a gain, but it really got me thinking...What EXACTLY do I have to do to lose weight? I had a good week. Lots of exercise and good eating and the scale shows a gain. How does that happen? I mean...I have at least 80 pounds to lose. How is it that some people can just start walking and lose a ton of weight from the word go? I have been on this program for 4 weeks now and I am only showing a 1.2 pound total loss. I just don't understand it. :confused3

Instead of drowning my sorrows in a bag of Taco Doritos (love those things!), I decided to get my workout in early. It was a WATP 2 mile DVD called, The Big Burn, that included intervals of walking and boosted walking or jogging. I sweat a lot and felt good afterwards. :goodvibes

Moving on...

Today's Plan:
* WATP (done)
* Surveys (1/4)
* Go to work with my DH
* Menu/Grocery List for next week

I ordered Zumba today. It was supposed to be a Christmas gift from my DH last year, but we just never ordered it. I found it for a great price today and went ahead and ordered it. :)

I've also decided that my reward for finishing Leslie's 6 week WATP program will be the purchase of her new walking system. I found it for a decent price on QVC this morning and will order it in two weeks when I finish the current program. It's better than rewarding myself with some of those Taco Doritos, right? LOL! ;)

Please continue praying for my parents. My dad thinks there has been a tiny amount of progress, but thing are still pretty tough right now. :( I really appreciate your good thoughts and prayers for them!

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!:grouphug:

It's been awhile since I've posted. Where does the time go?:confused3

Things are going okay here. My DH is busy with work, the girls and I are getting ready to ease back into homeschooling, and I'm still exercising.

Tomorrow is my last weigh-in for Leslie's 6 week WATP program and Saturday is my last walk on the program. I'm not sure what I will do from here, but I know I will keep exercising. I feel soooo much better when I do! :)

My DH and I had a really good talk about finances last night. We have been tossing around the idea of canceling our Sept. trip and focusing more on getting some extra savings in the bank. For now, we'll keep the trip on the books. In the meantime, my DH has decided to work some overtime to bulk up our savings and we'll try de-cluttering the house and selling some stuff on eBay or Craigslist as well.

Today's Plan:
* Laundry
* Surveys
* Work for DH
* Dinner w/ DH for our anniversary; birthday shopping for DD8
* WATP- 3miles

I got my Zumba DVDs and toning sticks yesterday!:banana: I just love those workouts and now, I don't have to get the workout DVDs from the library anymore. Woohoo!:yay:

Good morning, friends!:goodvibes

We had a nice weekend here. My DH deejayed (Disney money!) and my aunt had my DD's birthday and my cousin's birthday at her house yesterday. It was so nice to see everyone! :goodvibes The food was delicious and my DD was very blessed with gifts and money.

We made a tough decision this weekend. We've decided to cancel our September trip. My DH and I have been talking about this for awhile now and we feel like this is the best thing for our family at this time. By canceling the trip in September, we'll:

* Save almost $200 on tickets. With the free dining, we had to purchase 2 day tickets for everyone. (3 adults, 1 child) With December's trip, we'll still do 2 days in the parks, but one day will be MVMCP and the other will be one day in Epcot. For our Epcot day, we'll only need 2 adult tickets and 1 child ticket because my DH already has his.

* We'll save $500 in car rental and fuel costs by not going in September.

* With the refund from Disney, we'll have our tickets for December covered, $150 back on our debit card, and $300 worth of Disney gift cards for food.

Plus, if I stay on track with earnings at SR, I'll have another $200 or more in Disney gift cards to add to the food budget for December.

We are kind of bummed about not going, but we are that much more excited about our December trip now. Plus, I get to re-plan and re-budget the December trip which is always fun!:banana:

Today's Plan:
* Laundry
* Workout- Zumba
* Surveys
* Work for DH
* Library

I finished Leslie's Walk Away the pounds program on Saturday. I lost 5 pounds and almost 5 inches in 6 weeks. :) The book calls for continuing the 6th week of the program pace for the next 3 weeks. I don't think I can do that. About a week ago, I hurt my knee and it still hurts despite elevation and ice. I will continue to workout, but my workouts will be more varied and probably, every other day until this knee heals.

Well, that's about all from here. Have a great day everyone! pixiedust:

Tracy, I think you made the right decsion but I know it was a tough one. Disney has gotten so darned expensive it makes it tough to justify more than one a year. And as you say, now you can take your longer December trip easier and have fun planning that!

So proud of you with your five pound/five inch loss. You really stuck with that and it paid off! So are you enjoying the Zumba? Can you tell me what DVD you got? I used to do Zumba at the gym but quit when I realized I was just too self conscious being the largest person in there week after week. But I do enjoy it and doing it in my family room would be easier on my pride!

Still praying for your mom and dad.:hug:

Thanks ladies!:grouphug:

Life has been super busy the past few weeks...Work, getting ready for school, e.t.c. Actually, today is our first day of school! :teacher: I think we're all ready. :goodvibes It helps that the weather is very fall-like outside. It makes it seem like we are starting later in the year than we are. Does that make sense? LOL! :goodvibes

I haven't been getting my workouts in like I would like to. I'm hoping that once we settle back into the school routine, I can work out at least 3-4 times per week.

Today's Plan:
* School
* Surveys
* Work for DH
* Errands- Fed Ex (copies for school), Shell (gas card for trip!:cheer2: ), and ???? (need a new computer mouse), Dinner (celebrate first day of school)

As far as our Disney trip in December goes, we are at about 40% of our total budget for the trip. We have our ticket budget fully funded and the pet sitting budget fully funded. The rest of the categories (BCV and VWL, food, car rental, fuel) are at 8-30% each. My DH continues deejaying, we continue adding money to the change jar, I continue to do SR and look for deals for Orlando restaurants, and we'll start listing things on Craigslist soon. The good thing is that we did budget on the high side for this trip, meaning that if necessary, we can cut back a lot and still have a great time. :goodvibes

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!:hug:

Hey Tracy.
Happy First Day of School! :goodvibes

I think we have all been busy and looking forward to school and routines getting back in place. And you have yet another busy day ahead of you.

Do you ever do the deals at CVS where you spend $30 and get the $10 gas card? I have decided to save those to use on our November trip. Our Winn Dixie just had a similar thing, I wonder if the grocery stores are going to hop on that bandwagon. I hope so.

How are your parents doing? Well I hope.

Tracy-good to see you!!!! I think we've all had a busy summer so it will be nice to get back to a calmer routine.

I love that you're planning another trip to WDW. Its almost a year since we've been there and I don't see any trips in our near future so I'll have to get my Disney fix by reading about your trip. LOL

I may purchase Leslie's book today providing B and N has it. I'll let you know.

Have a great day!!!!

Thanks Lisa and Denise!:grouphug:

We had a good first day of school. :thumbsup2 We got calendars setup, folders and notebooks organized, and we got started on our reading list for the year. Next week, we'll get started with the full curriculum. This week is for easing back into a routine.

Today's Plan:
* School
* Surveys
* Work for DH
* Coffee with a friend
* Walk

That's about all from here. Have a great day today!:hug:

Lisa- Thanks!:goodvibes I haven't done the CVS gas card deal yet. I was going to on Sunday, but our newspaper didn't have the coupons I needed to make it a really great deal. I'm hoping to give it a try this week!:thumbsup2 My parents are doing better. Things seem to have settled down for the time being. Thanks for asking!:hug:

Denise- Thanks!:goodvibes We are really looking forward to our Disney trip in December, especially since we decided to cancel September's trip. If you get Leslie's book, please let me know. It is such a good read and the workout plan is very do-able! ::yes::

Hi Tracy,

Its hard to believe school has started! :teacher: It sounds like you are off to a good start. I am betting once your school routine is set, your workouts will fall into place. I love it that Leslie says even 15 minutes is okay. Takes a lot of pressure off!:thumbsup2

I hope your fall weather continues. We are still hot as everything and I am so sick of it!

Thanks ladies!:grouphug:

What a week! Soccer, school, bad attitudes, grumpy parents, an earthquake, work stress, financial stress, and everyday stress. UGH. So glad the weekend is here! :)

We are officially double digit dancing!!!:cool1: We are 99 days away from leaving for our Disney trip! We plan to have pizza and snacks and a Disney meeting and games to celebrate tonight. :goodvibes Woohoo!:woohoo:

Today's Plan:
* School
* Surveys
* Work for DH
* Laundry
* Walk
* Disney Meeting/Pizza Party

Tomorrow is DD10's first soccer game of the season. She is very excited and hoping that it goes much better than last week's scrimmage did. ;) I'm praying that everyone gets along and that they have a good time.

Have a nice weekend!:goodvibes

Amy- Thanks! School has been pretty good and the weather has been so fall like. I love fall! I just wish the snow didn't have to come right after it. LOL!:laughing:

Amy- Thanks for stopping by! It is so good to see you, my friend!:hug: We miss you around here! :grouphug: We are really looking forward to our December trip!:santa: We're still kind of bummed about September, but we know it's for the best.

Thanks Lisa! :hug: The soccer game went well on Saturday!:goodvibes And as far as the earthquake goes, we definitely felt it, but we are all a-okay here. :thumbsup2

It has been a long week. :( My poor DH has been having issues at work almost everyday this week. He is really stressed out right now. :( If you could send some good thoughts and prayers his way, I'd really appreciate it. Please also pray that his job would be protected and that corporate would begin to realize what a hard working and patient man he truly is. Thank you!:goodvibes

As a result of the added stress, I haven't been sleeping well. The past couple of nights, my mind has been racing at bedtime and it has been really difficult to fall asleep. :( I'm hoping to squeeze in a nap today, especially since I feel like I am coming down with something. UGH.

Today's Plan:
* School (independent work)

* Work for DH
* Walk

Tracy, just stopped in to say hi! Hope you have a great week!

Thank you, ladies!:grouphug:

The past couple of days have been a bit quieter here. The work issues still exist for my DH, but things have calmed down for the time being.

I'm not feeling well today. I'm not sure if it's a cold or allergies though. I took an Allegra a little while ago so we'll see what happens.

Today's Plan:
* School
* Surveys (2/4 so far)
* Return the rental car
* Work for DH
* Coffee with a friend
* Get dinner in the crockpot

I mentioned in Amy's journal that my DH and I are thinking about going to the World for his birthday next year. We'll be pricing things out and doing research over the weekend. If we go, it will have to be a super budget trip since we will have just gone to Disney in December.

Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

Well you know what I am voting for as far as a March trip! Lisa may be there around that same time too (I think more like first weekend of April maybe?). We need a WISH meet!

Hope you are feeling better this weekend Tracy. :hug: A lot of us here were feeling puny the end of the week also. Figure it was the change in weather we have. I hope you are passed yours. A friend told me to try a 1/2 tsp of baking soda in a cup of water every couple of hours when you first begin feeling that way. He said normally it will kick it out. I'm gonna try that next time. Not sure how it will taste, but who knows.

I'm hearing you on the super tight budget for Disney next Spring. That will be us also. After our regular trip this November and then the marathon in January, going Easter week will be double, but no extras. Hoping for some type of discount. I plan to arrive on Saturday, March 31.

I just wanna say, I love my crockpot. Sundays is when I use mine the most. I was already planning today what I am going to put in it tomorrow. :thumbsup2

Hope you all are having a great weekend.

Thank you, Amy and Lisa!:grouphug:

We had a very short weekend here. Despite my DD10's soccer game being canceled, it was still a very busy weekend. It didn't help that DD10 and I were sick all weekend either. :sick:

Now, DD10, DD9, and I are all sick. DD9 told me last night that her head hurt and she wasn't feeling well. A few minutes later, she was in the bathroom getting sick. My poor baby. :(

I hope this "bug" leaves my DH alone and leaves our house VERY soon, especially since I have Jury Duty next week. UGH.

My DH and I talked about the possible trip to Disney in March. We priced out some trips and found out that most of them are out of our price range. I'm still working on it though. Hopefully, we can find something that will work for our budget.

Today's Plan:
* School - educational DVD (I don't think either girl is up to a full day of lessons today. )

* Surveys- 2 is my goal, more would be good! :)

* Work for DH

* Disney Budget- re-work dining budget and check car rental price for December and work on finding a budget that works for March

* Soccer Practice- weather permitting

We went to a Borders store yesterday and got a TON of books for $57. At the bottom of the receipt, it said that we saved $299.xx! :eek: I'm really sad that Borders is closing, but it was nice to get some great deals on books.

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a great day!:wizard:

Good morning Tracy!

Hope all is well around your house!

I love the great deal that you got at Borders! There's nothing like a good book bargain, that's why I go to the library sales. Sometimes I find books that don't even look like they've been read.

Let me know what type of books you enjoy and your favorite authors. I have a circle of friends who share books and don't want them back so I'd be happy to send you some if I have any of the authors that you like.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Thanks ladies!:grouphug:

I'm sorry I haven't been around for awhile. The past couple of weeks have been pretty busy.

Let's see...I didn't get called for Jury Duty (yay!), DD10's soccer team won their tournament last weekend (way to go!) , and we are making some very good progress on our Disney savings for December's trip (woohoo!). :goodvibes

The bad news? I am at my highest weight ever. :( As a matter of fact, I am 4 pounds over the number on the scale I swore I would never get to. This extra weight is really affecting my health. I am in pain a lot, I'm not sleeping well, I'm not able to keep up, e.t.c. I just don't feel very good right now. :(

Today's Plan:
* School
* Surveys
* Work for DH
* Disney Meeting

This weekend, we have soccer (weather permitting), a huge rummage sale to check out, my DH deejays, grocery shopping, and hopefully, a nice, quiet Sunday. I will spend some time planning healthy meals (before grocery shopping) and getting some exercise in too.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!:goodvibes

Happy Weekend!:goodvibes

The soccer game was canceled for today. The fields were in really bad condition last weekend and it has been raining consistently since Thursday. I can't imagine what condition the fields are in now. :eek:

We'll be leaving in a little while to go to my favorite rummage sale of the year! :cool1: It's at a local church and today is their bag sale. Before noon, it's $5 a bag and after noon, it's $2 a bag. We usually get a lot of clothes and school books at these sales so we're really looking forward to going. :goodvibes

We could use some good thoughts, prayers, and pixie dust...Our oven isn't working (again!), our dishwasher is on it's last leg (unless DH can find replacement parts), and our heating element went on our dryer last night. UGH! :( I feel like our appliances are ganging up on us! LOL! :laughing: I really hope we can find the replacement parts we need because I'd really rather not replace entire appliances right now.

Today's Plan:
* Surveys (5 already!)
* Rummage Sale
* Library
* Drop DH off
* Menu Planning
* Grocery Shopping
* WATP- 1 mile at least

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!:grouphug:

Amy&Dan

Tracy, I hope the rummage sale went well and you got lots of good buys!

I am so sorry about your appliances, that really stinks. We had this happen a couple of years ago and it was so hard on the budget we got a home warranty policy that covers all our applicances, ac, furnace etc. We have to pay it every month (its around $39) but its more than paid for itself.

Sounds like a busy weekend even with no soccer!

As for the scale, I know how you feel. I am in pain a lot too. Menu planning is a good way to beat that scale. When I preplan meals I save money and calories so good job with that! You can do this Wish Sis.:hug:

Thanks Amy. :hug:

The past 48 hours have been filled with appliance failures, work drama, and other daily stressors and all I can say is....

Thank you, Lord that we are under the 60 day mark for our trip!:cool1:

We need a vacation so badly, especially my poor DH who has had 10 times more stress than usual lately. The poor guy. :sad1:

I can honestly say that I don't regret canceling September's trip, but we are looking forward to December's trip even more now! :goodvibes

Today's Plan:
* School (independent work)
* Surveys (my last month to cash out before trip)
* Transition summer/winter clothes
* Craigslist/eBay/sell items

I also need to work on our schedules for the next two months. We are busy now, but things are about to get VERY busy here soon and I want to make sure I have as much written down as possible so I don't forget anything.

We are now at 89% of the money we need for our trip! I am soooo excited about that!:woohoo: Usually, we have the majority of our trip paid off before we go, but not all of it. (usually charge car rental and pay it off a couple of months later) Plus, in the past, I have always forgotten to budget for pet sitting and this time the pet fund is fully funded!:goodvibes I got a refund from an overpayment to the hospital yesterday and DH will get his cell phone reimbursement so we'll add that to the Disney fund and get to that 100% ASAP. Once we have the trip fully funded, we can go ahead and save for extras like mini golf, souvenirs, e.t.c.

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

:hug: to you my friend. :hug: Bless your heart, you are dealing with some stuff.
I have confidence in your DH that as long as he can find the parts, he can keep your appliances running. And washing dishes by hand isn't quite so bad, dish washers make great drying racks.

I hope your weather improves soon. Soggy soccer fields are no fun. Makes for some very muddy laundry.

Congrats to you on the vacation budget. You have done awesome with that. I think your trip will be that much better because the entire time you will have the knowledge that it is all paid for.

Under 60 days for you! :banana::banana::banana:

Thanks, Lisa! :hug:

Do you hear that? It's peace and quiet! At least it will be for a few minutes. My DH had to run some errands and took the kids with him. :thumbsup2

It's been a very busy couple of weeks. My DH was able to get the appliances and the furnace fixed. Thank you, Lord! :goodvibes We do have to replace our kitchen floor though and we were blessed with a great deal on laminate flooring, so we got enough to do the living room too. Of course, we have to re-paint the walls before we put the floor down. Oh, and did I mention that the girls would love their room to be re-painted too? Oh, and maybe a new dresser to replace the one that broke? Oh, and new bunk beds and a new mattress since the dog had a field day with the old one? Don't you LOVE how remodeling projects morph into something else?!?!? LOL! :laughing: And did I mention that all of this needs to be done by November 19th when we are having DD10's birthday?!?!?:scared1:

Okay, deep breath....Moving on!

Today, we are going to my cousin's 16th birthday party and to Home Depot to get paint and a tub surround. Tomorrow, we'll go to church, come home, and get started on the remodeling projects. My DH has a very busy week ahead and tomorrow is his only real chance to get something done.

We are almost completely funded for our Disney trip!:cool1: The two categories we are still working on are food and fuel for the rental car. We need $445 and so far, we have $254.41 or 57%. The rest of the categories (hotel, car rental, pet sitter, and Disney and Legoland tickets) are 100% funded. Yay!:yay:

Once we get the other 43% (or $190.59) in the bank, we will continue to save money for any extras: mini golf, Wolfgang Puck Express, rent a boat, Wolfgang Puck Express, souvenirs, Wolfgang Puck Express, e.t.c. (Wolfgang Puck Express!:lovestruc )

Well, that's about all from here. Have a wonderful weekend!:hug:

Kudos on getting the trip paid for. You are SO good at that!

Home repairs are NOT particularly fun and usually one thing leads to another & another & another. I dread getting started re-doing more of our house, but it's almost 17 yrs old, so it's coming.

It has been a very busy week here! Ripping up floors, work, school, e.t.c.

Yesterday, I was in the ER with sharp, stabbing pain in my side. Wanna guess the diagnosis? Another kidney stone! UGH!:headache: Very frustrating, but just another reminder that I need to take better care of my own health.

Today's Plan:
* School
* Surveys
* Work for DH
* Work on planning DD's birthday
* Work on budget
* Work on Christmas list

I really, really, really need to sit down and make lists of things that need to be done in the next few weeks. If I don't, I can see a lot of things not getting done or forgotten. I wish I was much better organized right now. We just have so much going on....

Let's recap the week:

* All old flooring is ripped up and new flooring is waiting to be installed.
* Our oven is about ready to go kaput.
* I found out I have another kidney stone.
* Yesterday, the kids broke our recliner.
* Today, my computer would not start. With all the chaos going on, guess who forgot to back the hard drive up? :rolleyes1
* My DH was called in to work not once, but twice today and couldn't get any work done in the house. (Well, except for getting rid of part of the wall.)

Sigh... And the items on my to do list that need to get done, haven't gotten done. :(

I'm glad the new week starts tomorrow!:goodvibes

Tomorrow after church, I am going to meet a couple of friends for coffee. I'm hoping I can relax, even if it's just for an hour or two.

Thanks Des!:goodvibes

It's been a long week. Work, remodeling, budgeting, party planning, trying to find things, e.t.c. Of course, the weekend is going to be super busy so we won't have much of a chance to relax this weekend.

I didn't weigh in today. I have been stress eating this week and I know the number on the scale will upset me. It's my own fault of course, but I don't want to add to the stress overload right now. I will weigh in next Friday though and try and be more mindful of my eating in the week to come.

Today's Plan:
* Surveys
* Work for DH
* Going out for dinner
* Hook up printer to laptop
* Try and restore my DH's billing from the other computer

Tomorrow: Final soccer game of the year + awards, pumpkin carving, Home Depot and Lowe's, work on house

Sunday: Work on house

We may take Monday off to relax if we get enough done this weekend. We'll just kind of wait and see...

Have a nice weekend!:hug:

Hey Wish Sis, sorry I haven't been on your journal (or anyone else's) but I have been thinking about you! Has the stone passed yet? Just take one thing at a time, the scale will be there next Friday and I think not weighing yesterday was a good idea. With all you have going on, well stress eating is about a given. I hope you had a nice dinner out and that this weekend is a good one.

Also hope you got dh's billiing stuff figured out, what a headache for you and him!

Sorry to hear about the new 'stone'. NOT fun! Have you ever been told to add lemon to all your water? I have a niece that has lots of stones & they said to add lemon to all water/drinks. Can be the trulemon stuff. Something in it helps keep stones from forming. Now instead of having one every couple months, she has had only one in nearly 2 years.

I can't believe you get done everything you have to do. You & your DH are amazing. So much to deal with! But, someday when it calms down, you will probably be very bored!

Hope you get to relax a bit this weekend and start feeling better. Don't worry about the scale. Life happens!

We've got a somewhat busy day ahead of us:

* Finish the floor (DH has two rows left!:cool1: )
* A Craigslist sale
* Shop for rugs for the house
* Start putting the house back together

We'll hold off on painting and repairing the walls until tomorrow. My poor DH needs a break.

Also tomorrow, I need to work on getting organized for the rest of the year. I started a few to do lists regarding school, budgets, Christmas and vacation, but with all of the remodeling chaos, I've lost them! LOL!:laughing:

You've certainly had a busy month. It will be nice when things calm down a bit.

What are the dates of your WDW vacation? Our cruise leaves on Dec. 4 from Baltimore and we have a stop in Port Canaveral on the Wed. the 7th. We may be in Florida at the same time. We're renting a car for the day while in PC but haven't decided exactly where we're going to go.

I am feeling much more centered this morning. Why? Because we are back to our daily routine! I didn't realize how much not having the routine made me feel off kilter. It's good to be back on track! :)

Today's Plan:
* School
* Surveys
* Workout
* Send party invites out
* Work on party plans (DD10's birthday)
* Continue straightening up the house
* Birthday dinner for my dad

Over the weekend, we managed to get to 100% for our Disney fund. Woohoo!:woohoo: Now, any extra money we earn, will go towards extras in Disney like mini golf, souvenirs, e.t.c.

I can't believe that it's Nov. 1st already!:eek: I love this time of the year though...The decorations, the Christmas shopping, the excitement, the Disney trip!:santa: We have a very busy November (5 birthday parties + 2 Thanksgivings) and I have a feeling time is going to go by very fast.

Well, that's about all from here. Have a great day everyone!:grouphug:

Thanks Des! :goodvibes I LOVE Disney at Christmas too!:santa: We are really, really, really looking forward to our trip.:thumbsup2

I woke up in pain this morning. :( Not because of the kidney stone, but because I tend to sleep on one side the whole night and this extra weight is causing a lot of pain. UGH. I've noticed that when I get over a certain weight, I feel the pain even more. The solution is to get under this threshold and then continue losing weight. The question is...Will I be able to lose weight while at Disney and during the holidays? I'm not sure. :confused3 I will try though.

Today's Plan:
* School
* Surveys
* Workout
* Haircut
* Count change jar
* Straighten up around the house
* Menu Planning
* Grocery Store?

I did manage to get my basic to do lists done yesterday for Disney, DD's birthday party, and Christmas. Those are the lists that I have been trying to get done for the past couple of weeks. :blush: At least they are done now!:thumbsup2

I'm going to spend some time today trying to come up with an eating and exercise plan for the next 30 days. I need to lose some weight!

I hope everyone has a great day today! pixiedust:

I went to my urologist today. He said the kidney stone is so small that it should be a non issue. He's referring me to a new internist so we can start investigating what the pain is from. I also need to see a Pulmonary Specialist due to a small nodule on my lung and my OB/GYN because I have a cyst on my ovary. Fun stuff, huh? :rolleyes:

Today's Plan:
* Doctor Appt. (done)
* Vote (in a few minutes)
* Work for DH
* Walk
* NCIS/ NCIS Los Angeles at my MIL's house

Well, that's about all from here....Have a nice evening!:goodvibes

Tracy, I am so sorry you are having this pain. I can't help but think if that stone was in your doctor's kidney, it might not be a "non issue"! I hope an internist can give you some answers.

Your trip is so close, its always hard to believe how all of our trips are months in the making, seem like they will never get here, and then boom, its time to go to WDW!!!

I hear you on the pain thing, I too have a limit to what my body can handle and I'm afraid I am very over it. I just told Dan tonight, "can I lose weight in the next six weeks during the holidays". I feel anxious to get started but also know how this time of year goes. Maybe we can make this time of year successful on some level, even if its staying the same.

So glad your routine is back on track!:yay:

Hi everyone! :wave:

I can't believe I haven't been back to journals since the beginning of November! :eek: Life has been kind of hectic here.

Things are going well for the most part. I did hit my all time highest weight over the holidays and got very discouraged for quite awhile. :( The thing is that I'm still having some health problems and I realize that I need to get this weight off if I want to get healthy.

I'm going to work on getting back OP and hope to be posting more here on WISH.

Hope everyone is doing well!:grouphug: Have a great evening!:goodvibes

We had a snowstorm yesterday that prevented us from going to my grandfather's birthday party. :( The roads were so bad that we had to turn around and come home. I'm hoping that we can get together with my grandparents this week so that we can give my grandpa his card and gift. I feel so bad about missing his party. :(

Today, my poor DH got called into work. One of his machines isn't working properly and it needs to get fixed ASAP. There's no telling how long he'll be there.

Plan for the evening:
* Make dinner
* Work on tomorrow's to do list
* Walk or do the Wii
* Watch a movie (Courageous)

Have a nice evening!:hug:

Tracy-I'm so glad to see you posting again. I missed you! You know that we'll all be here for you through your ups and downs, good health and no-so-good health and anything else that's going on with you.

How was your trip in Dec.? Do you have any hints for me when going to the MK? Anything new or improved?

Hope the weather is improving in your area. We had a little snow this weekend with very cold temps and high winds. We're not used to that, we've been very spoiled this winter.

I hope to see you more often. I know we've all been lax with our posting but that really needs to change.

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Thanks Denise!:hug: Our trip to Disney in December was wonderful! :goodvibes The weather was sunny and in the 70's most days and we had a wonderful time in the parks.:goodvibes We didn't spend much time at MK though. We went during an EMH evening and only got to ride a few rides. I will say that we went to Cosmic Rays for dinner that night and I had their pulled pork sandwich. That was the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had! YUMMY!:thumbsup2 We're scheduled to go back to Disney this December. It's sooooo far away right now. I can't wait!:cool1:

We're having a busy day so far: school, surveys, work for DH, laundry, e.t.c. I still have to clean my desk, pay some bills, deposit money at the bank, workout, and head to the library. Oh, and work on some Disney planning as well. That's fun work though!;)

I need to do some thinking and praying as well. A friend of mine challenged me by saying that my expectations for certain things in my life (finances, weight loss, e.t.c) are way too high right now. She is absolutely right! ::yes:: I need to learn to slow way down and appreciate the small victories each day. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed by the "big picture" that I just stop whatever progress I was making. Definitely time to re-evaluate!:thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a great day today!:grouphug:

OK. Remember me saying that Disney planning is fun work? Well, it usually is for me. At the moment? Not so much. :(

We had a full size car rental booked for December for under $500 for 3 weeks. I used a Sam's Club discount code to get such a great rate.

Well, a few weeks ago, I found out that Sam's Club no longer deals with travel and my discount codes are invalid. Okay. No big deal, right?

Wrong.

I have been pricing rentals for the past few hours and they are all in the $900-$1,000 range. :scared1: UGH!

That is way too much money to pay for a rental. :( I'm not sure what we are going to do.

One of our goals for the year is to get a new-to-us, reliable, used car. We could use that car maybe. However, my DH isn't too thrilled about putting all of that mileage and wear and tear on a vehicle he needs for work. (He drives A LOT!!! :drive: Sorry, I just had to put that smilie in there! :thumbsup2 )

So, I'm not sure what we are going to do. I know that car rental prices have a tendency to go down, but that initial number is just way too high. :( We're gonna need some extra :wizard: for this one!

Hey Tracy. I have gotten all caught up with you.

First off, stinks about the rental car, but if you keep your eyes peeled, you'll find a discount code. Have you signed up on the different rental car websites? and what about Sunshine Rewards? I haven't look for rentals on there, but they have tons of codes for other things. Do you do Coke Rewards? sometimes, there will be different codes on there. Right now just mostly for one day or $20 off of a weekend, but I got a $25 dollar one time and you could use multiples. I'll be on the look out for them also. At least you found out now about the invalid code and have time to regroup.

How are you doing? Any more stones? I saw you had one back in the November time frame. Any more lately? Did the internist have any answers?

I still can't believe I missed you in Florida in December. I had stayed for a week after our Thanksgiving trip to work for a week in Port Canaveral and flew out on December 3.

toystoryduo
02-14-2012, 02:11 PM
Thanks Lisa!:hug: I can't believe we just missed each other in December! I think we arrived in Florida on December 3rd. Are you guys going to be in Disney for Thanksgiving again this year?

I am so glad I found out about the invalid car rental code in advance! ::yes:: Who knows what they would have charged at the window?!?!? :eek: At least now, we have some time to find an alternative and hopefully, some good discounts as well.

As far as kidney stones go, I'm not sure if I still have one or not. According to my last scan, I have a small one, but that was a few months ago. I still have pain on that side, but I'm seeing several different doctors to try and found out what it is because they don't think it's kidney stone related. They're just ruling things out one-by-one.

I am currently doing a food/symptom diary to see if there is any correlation between the foods I eat and whether my symptoms change or not. I'm supposed to do the diary for a month and add some fiber into my diet as well. My doctor also wants me to use Prilosec as needed.

Today has been a busy day: school, work for my DH, surveys, e.t.c. I still have several things to do on my to do list, but if I don't get them done today, there's always tomorrow. ;)

Have a great Valentine's Day, everyone! ♥

Happy Valentine's Day Tracy! I hope you have had a wonderful day.

Yes, as of right now our plan is Thanksgiving at Disney. It's the perfect week for us to go as a family.

I am so glad your doctors are working to figure out what is going on with you. I had a pain in my left side that would come and go, some days it would be really bad. The doctor determined it was something I was eating too much of. I can not remember what it was though. I do know that now if I eat too much sugar I will have that problem. Hopefully it won't take to long to figure out what is triggering your pain.

Tracy, I hear you about the car rental prices. We're having a really tough time finding a decent rate for March for our 4 night stay. I'm spending more for that than I did for a week's rental previously. Sometimes there are last minute specials so I'm hoping for a deal.

When are you going for your 3 week stay? I can't even imagine being there for that long. It would be wonderful!

Thanks ladies! :grouphug:

Lisa- We'll be arriving in Disney on December 2nd. Will you still be there then?

Denise- The car rental prices are so high right now! :( I'm going to keep working on this though. I am bound and determined to get a good deal.:thumbsup2 We'll be in Disney for 2 weeks. The extra week for the car rental is a buffer in case we run into bad weather and can't get the car back on time.

Happy Wednesday!:)

It's bright and sunny here today. :sunny: I wish it was just a little warmer out though. At least it's not snowing!:thumbsup2

Yesterday was kind of a rough day. :( We had issues with a contractor not paying again, some budget issues popped up, and some extended family issues came up as well. I am happy to say though that I didn't take the stress of the day and drown my sorrows in food for a change. Instead, I cried a lot. :sad1: I left myself feel the hurt for a change. It stunk, but at least I didn't go to bed bloated and sick from overeating. That's progress, right?

Sigh...Life is a journey.

I am feeling somewhat better about things today, but that's after a lot of tears, a lot of prayers, and lots of hugs from my DH. :lovestruc

Moving on....

Lots of things on the to do list today:
* School (done)
* Pay bills (almost done, 1 down, 1 to go)
* Play basketball with the kids
* Help MIL with her taxes
* Go to the store
* Library
* Work for DH
* Maybe look for a car rental if I have time

Weigh-in is on Friday. I'm not sure what to expect. I haven't been eating as much as usual, but I have only exercised once so far this week. Once our taxes are done (hopefully, this weekend), then I can focus on setting goals for healthy eating and exercise for the month of March.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!:grouphug:

Some days I'm successful at it and some days I'm not. Just gotta keep moving forward from here. ::yes::

Yes, you are definitly making progress. To show emotions instead of ignoring them is a good thing. Sometimes you just gotta let it out.

I always hate to hear when your DH has a contractor that doesn't pay. It infruirates me when people try to ignore their obligations. They just don't seem to realize that it affects other people lives.

I hope you have a great weekend and get to enjoy something you love to do.

PS - we are going Nov 17-24.

Thanks, Lisa!:hug:

Yesterday, we had family night and it was DD11's turn to choose the meal and the activity. She chose pizza and watching movies from when the kids were little.

It was so much fun watching the kids grow up!:goodvibes Those movies brought back so many wonderful memories of trips to Disney, holidays, and other special occasions. It was a wonderful trip down memory lane.:goodvibes

One thing really bothered me though and that is my weight. Seeing myself on camera was very, very hard.:sad1:

You see, in my head, I don't look like I do in reality. I look more like I did in high school. Here's the thing: we don't have a single full-length mirror in our house and when we go out, I avoid mirrors like the plague. So, when I see myself as I truly am on video, man does it stink. :( And it hurts to know that this is one goal I have failed to conquer over and over again. :sad1:

I know that I need to face this head on. Every day, I am not reminded of how I truly look, but I am reminded that I have way too much weight on this body. When I wake up in pain, when I can't get up off of the floor, when I can't put on a new shirt because it doesn't fit. I don't see it everyday because I try to ignore it, yet it is always there.

This year, we are trying to focus on finances, clutter, and losing weight. It's hard to focus on 3 main issues at one time, but I think we're going to need to really think about which one of these should be our main focus. For me, I think it's going to have to be getting healthy. If I don't have my health, my finances will be affected (with doctor bills and such) and the clutter just won't matter. For my DH, it might be something else. We'll figure something out.

In the meantime, I've got a lot of thinking and praying to do. I think I will postpone working on the taxes this weekend so that I can spend some time reflecting on what's needed.

Thanks for reading and and have a good weekend, everyone!:grouphug:

Hi Tracy,
It's very nice to hear about your trip down memory lane with your family. And I relate completely to how you felt smacked in your face seeing yourself on film.

I wish I knew some magic way to help us all say we've beaten this demon of weight that plagues us repeatedly but for now, all I can say is, it's still not too late to make changes. And it sounds like you and your DH are working on some pretty great goals for this year. It will be great hearing about your progress, inspirational even.

Hope that the rest of your weekend was as reflective and de-stressing as you hoped!

Hopefully this week will be better for you. A little thing I recently learned from my oldest DS (and should have known myself) is whenever I am feeling poorly, I eat an orange. We had kind of a rough weekend. My DH was called into work 4 separate times and the girls and I were sick. It wasn't much of a weekend here. :(

Yesterday, we heard about the school shooting. The community where the shooting happened is about 40 miles away from us. Thanks Mike!:goodvibes

I actually forgot to weigh-in on Friday. :blush: I've been sick since then and it just slipped my mind. I did weigh-in yesterday and I was down .8 of a pound. I'll take it!:goodvibes

While I've been sick, I've come to realize a few things about my health. You see, years ago, I said I would never get over the 200 pound mark. I've been there for almost 10 years. Three years ago, I said I would never get over my "magic number" of 230. Well, I've been there for about 2.5 years now. It has to stop somewhere and it has to stop now.

My way of thinking tends to be "all or nothing" but that doesn't work with weight loss. I have to re-train my brain to think that every little thing I do for my health that is positive, gets me one step closer to my bigger goals. Every little bit counts.

So, what did I do yesterday to work towards my weight loss goal? I ate 3 meals, with 1 small snack, exercised, and stopped eating when I was full. Not when the plate was empty. Those are positive steps in the right direction.:goodvibes

Today's Plan:
* School
* Vote
* Surveys
* Exercise
* Disney Planning

Over the weekend, my DH and I were talking about the possibility of a late summer Disney trip this year. I saw on the DIS the rumors of free dining being opened to the general public on Monday, but I also saw that the people with the Disney Visa (who could book early), weren't able to get POP and that's where we wanted to stay.

So, yesterday, I was goofing around with the Disney reservations site and tried to book free dining for September. I couldn't get the dates I wanted, but I saw on the DIS where people were getting the last weekend in August at POP so I tried that. Low and behold, it was available!:eek: I called my DH and told him and he said, "Go ahead and book it!" So, I did.:cheer2: We now have a trip planned in August and in December. :thumbsup2 We are so excited!:cool1:

Well, that's about all from here. Have a great day today!:grouphug:

I'd comment here now on your new Disney trip news but I AM WAY TOO JEALOUS!! And you're staying at my favorite place, POP!! :scared1::scared1:

Cordial, it is then, Mike. ;) LOL! :rotfl: I'm not 100% sure we will take the trip in August. It's certainly what we are striving for, but if finances don't permit, then we will just focus on December's trip. I'm really hoping we can go. I love POP! It's my second favorite resort behind the Beach Club. :cloud9:

Well, I woke up feeling like I got hit by a Mack truck this morning. :( I took some Nyquill last night hoping to feel better and get some sleep, but it kept me up all night instead! Weird, isn't it?:confused:

After school, I did manage to get a 30 minute nap. I took a shower and feel a little better, but this is one tough bug!:sick:

Today's Plan:
* School (done)
* Work for DH
* Take a nap
* Make dinner
* Disney planning

Speaking of Disney planning....Last night, when I couldn't sleep, I started plugging in discount codes to various car rental places for both trips. (Remember, the rates were coming in were between $700-$1,000 and that was NOT in the budget.) Well, I got the idea to try and modify the reservation that we had by adding a different code. Guess what? It worked! So for December, we have a fullsize car for 3 weeks with unlimited miles and a free additional driver for about $475. Woohoo!:woohoo:

I also tried booking for September and get this... A midsize SUV was CHEAPER than renting a compact car!:eek: Can you believe that?!?!? At least something good came out of me not being able to sleep last night!;)

That's about all from here. Hope everyone has a nice Wednesday!pixiedust:

I'm still not feeling well. :( As a matter of fact, I feel worse than I did yesterday. I'm drinking lots of water, taking medication and vitamins, but I still feel really sick. :sick: I hope this bug is gone soon!

Not much going on here... Got school done, laundry is almost done, and dinner is in the crockpot. I think I will do some trip planning and relax for the rest of the evening.

Happy Weekend!:goodvibes

The sun is shining and the birds are chirping. Spring is on it's way!:flower3:

I am feeling a little bit better this morning. I still have a cold and some body aches, but at least I can think a bit more clearly.

I weighed in yesterday and I'm down .4 of a pound from last weigh-in. It's not much, but I'll take it!:goodvibes

No really big plans for the weekend. My DH has to work 8 hours today and may have to work 8 hours tomorrow as well. If I am feeling better, we may take our first trip to Costco when my DH gets home from work. If I'm not feeling better, then we'll probably stay home and watch TV.

That's about all from here. Have a great weekend! pixiedust:

I'm just now starting to feel better. My DH bought some Mucinex for me last night and the pain and pressure are slowly going away. Yay!:cheer2:

I woke up really early this morning. :( A thunderstorm rolled through and I just couldn't get back to sleep. Hopefully, there will be a nap in my future. ;)

I started working on taxes yesterday. UGH. It's a long, drawn out process, but I'm going to try and take it one month at a time. Hopefully, they'll be done by this weekend.

Today's Plan:
* School
* Work for DH
* Work on taxes
* Walk
* Nap

No updates on the Disney front yet. Once I get the taxes done, I'll have more time to work on our plans and budgets. That's good motivation to get those taxes done ASAP. :thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a great day today!:grouphug:

Well, I found out I have a sinus infection. :( I'm on antibiotics for the next 10 days. I do feel somewhat better, but I still have pain and pressure in my head.

I didn't get a chance to work on the taxes yesterday. :( My DH has been super busy and hasn't had a chance to get all of the tax receipts to me yet. I wanted to get them done by Friday, but now it looks more like Monday.

Today's Plan:
* 10 Minute Trainer Total Body (DONE)
* School
* Surveys (goal=2)
* Walk
* Work for DH

Have a wonderful Wednesday! pixiedust:

I am feeling better today!:cool1: I'm still not 100%, but I feel much, much better than I have been. Yay!

I still haven't had a chance to work on taxes. My DH has to locate the rest of his receipts and just hasn't had time to look yet. This project he is working on, has tacked on additional 40+ hours to his already busy work week. Hopefully, he'll be finished by this Saturday.

Today's Plan:
* 10 Minute Trainer Cardio Workout (DONE)
* School
* Online class for work
* Surveys (goal=2)
* Walk (weather permitting)
*:laundy:

Weigh-in is tomorrow. I'm not sure how it will go. I did manage to get 2 workouts and 2 walks in this week, but food choices haven't been my best. We'll see what the scale says tomorrow.

Have a great Friday Eve!:goodvibes

The weekend went by way too fast! :( My poor DH had to work all weekend and I'm still working on feeling better. (I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow.)

The good news is that I am almost completely done with our taxes!:woohoo: Yay! :yay:

I forgot to weigh-in again on Friday. :blush:

Today's Plan:
* School (DONE)
* 10 Minute Trainer Yoga (DONE)
*:laundy: (NEVER done)
* Walk
* Work for DH

Have a great day!:goodvibes

Happy Friday! :goodvibes

Sorry I haven't been around the past few days. The DIS has been loading VERY slowly for me, if I can get it to load at all. I know that there have been some tech issues recently. I hope they are able to get everything sorted out soon. I've got a trip to plan! LOL!:laughing:

The past week has been kind of rough. I'm still not feeling well so my doctor had some additional bloodwork done. I'm still waiting on the results from that.

Food has been okay and I have been working out a little. I'm not doing any major workouts until I find out what is going on though.

Weigh-in went okay. I showed a 1.2 pound loss. :goodvibes

Our plans for the day, and for the weekend, are up in the air right now. My DH has to do some major work on our car and that will most likely take up most of the day today and maybe tomorrow as well. We'll just have to wait and see.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!:grouphug:

Happy Tuesday!:goodvibes

I got the results back from my blood work last week and everything looks normal. Yay!:cool1: I am feeling much better, but still have allergies to deal with thanks to the early spring. (I'll take the warmer weather though!:thumbsup2 )

I've decided to focus on tweaking my eating habits. I think that better nutrition will definitely help me lose weight and stay healthy in the long run. My plan (in general) is to increase my consumption of fruits and vegetables and lower my consumption of unhealthy carbs, cheese (UGH!), and meat. I'm also trying to avoid snacking as well. Doritos are definitely in the Danger Zone! LOL!:laughing: We'll see how this works out.

Today's Plan:
* School (DONE)
* Work for DH
* Finish a book
* Walk

Have a great Tuesday!:goodvibes

Hey Tracy! How are you feeling? All better now I hope. Congrats on the new trip. I do hope you all will be able to take it. and :woohoo: for the car rental rates. :thumbsup2 Those totally rock!

Continued losses at weigh-ins are awesome also! :worship: Despite being sick you have had some great news to report. :banana: I pray you are all better now and won't being sick any more this Spring. I had that couple weeks ago and it wasn't fun. Literally spent two days in bed and couldn't even watch TV. It hurt to focus. DS had it but differently and sounds more like what you had. Took him to the doctor and thankfully he is better and DD didn't get it.

Have a wonderful Easter!

Thanks Mike and Lisa! :goodvibes

Only 3 more days until spring break begins! YAY!:yay: I'm so looking forward to having a few days where we can sleep in and not have to be on a schedule every day. :thumbsup2

I'm still having pain in my left side and since all of my tests and bloodwork came back normal, I'm going to see a chiropractor and see if an adjustment to my back will help. I have an appointment for later on today.

And can you believe that I'm still working on taxes?!?!? :eek: My DH has been so busy that he hasn't had a chance to go over the last few pieces of information that I need to get them done. I'm hoping today is the day!:wizard:

Today's Plan:
* Chiropractor
* Taxes
* School
* Work for DH
* Surveys
* Walk

I forgot to mention that I put the scale away for April. Last weekend, I weighed in and was VERY frustrated by the very tiny weight loss that the scale registered. Last week was a good week OP for me and to not see a decent weight loss was very discouraging. So, rather than use that as a reason to give up, I've decided to just focus on intentional eating and exercising this month and see what the scale says next month.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!:grouphug:
