what sort of stuff do you like to do in the parks? Thrill rides or not so much? When do you like to go? Favorite park?

I'm in the Orlando area, and usually spend quite a bit of time playing in the parks, I'd probably be interested in hanging out sometime

Hi, well, I'm one of those people where I like to do quite a few things...I like the thrill rides, those are my favorite..but I also like the shows and, just I like to do everything. I like all the parks, Hollywood Studios is my favorite, but I like to do the other parks as well. I don't go to Animal Kingdom much though. I like to go at anytime, more during the week, just because it's less crowded.

Hey Fellow Disney Lovers!
I'm pretty new to the area, but I've been going to Disney for years and I've been doing the parks by myself lately, kind of tired of enjoying the magic alone, anyone interested in meeting up and doing some parks?

what sort of stuff do you like to do in the parks? Thrill rides or not so much? When do you like to go? Favorite park?

We're up for another touring buddy when we're there in March. It's a few of us who went to school together having a grown-ups only week. We're planning to hit all the parks twice, AK once, Jellyrolls and just lounge around the Beach Club. :woohoo:

:wave: would love to join the list of touring buddy... as long as it does not include rope drop... I do one rope drop a trip.. may it be in MK or AK ...
so far will be in WDW on the week of ...

April 18 - 24...
July 3 to 6...
Sept. 28 to oct 11 and
Dec. 13 to 18

well I have not done Universal thrill rides.. I am more modest.. WDW rides all I can do !!:thumbsup2

I usually have more free time on weekdays, rather than weekends. But, i work in an industry that runs 7 days a week, and my normal days off are Mo/Tu.

:offtopic: Don't to be offtopic but I was just in Montreal in early December! Cold but beautiful. It would have been a perfect trip if I didn't loose my wallet. :sad:

I'm going to be in the parks next week on a solo trip! 25th-30th
I'm 22, from NYC, and going down to celebrate my college graduation tomorrow! (and laugh at my friends who will be going back to class on monday, while I call them from space mountain)

Yes!!! I rented a house up at Hunter Mountain, NY and have skied every weekend since Nov 22nd! It's been a great year for skiing! I can't wait to stay at AKV. Have never even seen the resort, so it should be fun!!! Have a great trip!

and while you are in that area if you are walking towards back to Mexico... will you grab a chocolate funnel cake with lotsa of powder... make sure you ask them to powder it 1st before they add the chocoalte drizzle and if you have an extra dollar.. have them add their strawberry toppings too!!!

Well, I'm a local guy (now), divorced with no kids, and looking to get some exercise and fun at the same time. I've been a Disney fan for a looooong time (it's why I moved to Orlando), yet I haven't been to the parks in about 2 years! :crazy2:

I started off enjoying the solitude, not having to worry about anyone else's needs or time schedule or interests. Plus it was fun being around all of those families and kids having so much fun. But after a while, it actually started to depress me being there alone, and well...now it's two years later.

Anyway, it's great to see so many others with the same interest, and looking to share the fun. Maybe I'll buy myself an AP for my 40th next month. :eek:

Well I work 2nd shift, so normally I'd have to be leaving parks between 2-3pm on any weekdays to make it to work on time. Right now, I'm pulling OT and working a 2pm-1am shift M-F. So with waking up at 10am, in to work by 2pm, and probably an hour to get off Disney property and up to where I work, there's no chance of anything but a weekend visit.

But April is a slow time here, and I'm sure I would be back on my 4pm-1am shift. So something lunchtime on a weekday would be doable. Assuming, of course, that my laziness allows me to get more exercise than what it takes to walk to the fridge for another Diet Mountain Dew. :eek:

welcome to my world!!! been working 4P to 12A for 16 years now... diet Mt. dew???? regular for me please !!!! well I better make sure to grab a doble espresso for you on those days that you are tagging along !!! But I cannot complain with my schedule.. with FL 4 hours away ( 2 hours at the airport and 2 hours from PHL to MCO) on my weekend off... I usually get to make it by rope drop on Saturday morning... and be back at work by 4PM on Monday!!! :cool1: :thumbsup2

Since I'm trying to make it a "cheap" trip and will be eating most meals in the villa, I would say hang out at a park. I'm dying for park hours to come out so I can see where I'll be and when, lol! Are you into going to the parks? I was thinking of hitting parks early, then heading back to AKV mid-day to do the pool and then parks again at night. :)

Haha nope as long as it's a weekend or week night I'm all good. There wouldn't be anyone to write a note to anyhow. I'm pretty much my own boss but I think that can be a burden as well because if something goes wrong all fingers are pointed to you. I had a week like that this week and can't wait to get a chance to "get away" for even just a few hours at the parks.

I'm a single guy, 46, who is a huge Disney geek and I'll be staying solo at POR the week after Thanksgiving, always, I've found, to be a great time to be at the parks. The crowds are at their lowest, the Christmas decorations are up, it's just great!

just got back last night...; flew into detroit from orlando ........... what a shock! 87 degrees to wind chill of 13 below......... not cool..... no., really really cold. wish I would have thought to ask for company. stayed at wilderness lodge for a couple days, and 3 at shades of green. for all you who dont know, shades of green is one of the best resorts on the property I have seen. you need a military id though...... we got the salute 5 day pass for $99 what a deal! certainly worth it. next solo trip in two months............ anyone there in feb?

I am 38, live in NJ but will be visiting family in the Orlando area in September and I want to visit the parks for a few days. I am flexable on the dates (month & day) but was thinking aound the last week in Septmeber. I am an adult who loves to act like a kid in Disney. I go on every attraction, know alot of backstorys on the attractions and trivia. I can go from opening to close. My dates are open so all I need is another Disneyholic who is ready for some fun. I am fun guy who loves to laugh, and have a great time with an open mind to do anything once. I guess that's why I am trying this cuz I never did the solo thing before but you only live once. Its a small world after all....Is'nt it?

Yeah we have North Jersey and South Jersey. AKA the NY side and the Philly side. Since I'm in what I consider Central Jersey and despise the Eagles, I also consider myself on the NY side haha! :lmao: I always say the only good thing about Philly is the airport, the cheesesteaks, and the cream cheese :rotfl:

They are beyond delicious! I ate at either Pat or Geno's.... can't remember which one it was. It's the 2 places that are right across the street from each other. It was about 10 years ago so I have no clue which one it was! Where in central Jersey? I used to be a Cowboys ADDICT. But when I realized that Sunday football was affecting my health I stopped haha! Now I like to see them win, but don't follow it like a psycho. :)

I am usually all about the fun of the parks, but this will be my 5th trip within a year so I have decided to do more resort stuff. The last few trips I have spent more time at the resort, or touring other resorts, and have really enjoyed it! I like seeing the details... I def plan to spend a lot of time exploring WL and also going over to the Fort and checking out stuff there. We leave in 15 days and I can't wait!!

My last trip there was my 1st in 30 years. I loved every min of it. I was all about the parks; more or less, full speed ahead mode lol I wanted to experience everything every park had to offer. I couldn't wait to see Epcot (fav park) to see all the countries. Like I said before, WL has tons to offer.

The pool's are nice, the restaurants are good as well (didnt eat at whispering canyon but this yr we r) Roarking Forks, is very good. The place is huge and it just is quite nice, can't say enough good things about it. We don't leave for another 3 week or so. Just seems like yesterday when we were discussing going. My brother and sis in law finally told me niece we r going to wdw the other day. Her excitement and joy of going is priceless.

Come on now - the only people that call it Joisey are people that are not from Jersey. It's better to ask "What exit?" LOL

I'm not a true exit - but I guess it would be 7A on NJTP or 98 on the parkway :) And then 195 from both! LOL you know Jersey and our super-fun highways! :rotfl:

That is so funny wityh the exit. Mine is 18W. Jersey has the most malls per square inch than any other state. If you ccan't find it here it don't exist.

I have to say I am a true exit...8 to be exact. I travel the NJTPK daily from one end to the other....literally. so I have had drive up to 18 (E&W) and to 1 to head to the nuclear plant (long story).
as for cheesesteaks.... Jim's and Geno's are my favorites to get cheesesteaks. Ishcabibbles (sp?) is my favorite place for fries...as for NYC....ummm...everywhere has great food!
