Ok, someone please tell me about the use of codes to book your Disney stay! I'm afraid to admit that I haven't a clue what you all are talking about when you speak of them! How do I get them? Where do I get them? How do I use them? Thanks for your help in advance

I had no idea about codes either at first! Codes are happy little gifts from the Disney gods!!! They're a series of letters (CEP, for example) strung together to mean some sort of discount. Watching these boards you will quickly learn that it's almost never necessary to pay the rack (regular) rate at a Dis property. Codes are sometimes in your newspaper (pay attention to your travel section) or listed online. They can either be for a discounted room only reservation or for a discounted package. Codes are released (generally) a few months in advance. Find one that works for your vacation time and call Disney to book it. Keep in mind that you can make your reservation at a rack rate and then call later and have a code applied. If you're worried about missing a good deal, I suggest you contact a Disney travel specialist. Dreams Unlimited is big on this site, but I have been using Our Laughing Place travel www.ourlaughingplace.com (Josephine is great!). They will keep track of what you want and search out the best deal for you.
