I am, indeed. It is light reading, well-paced, and plenty of it...and the characters are interesting. I love the historical aspect of it most of all. The thing I like least is that the women are either stunningly beautiful, or hideously ugly....or not talked about much. You can tell it's written from a male perspective.

Hijack huh?:scratchin

Did anyone watch the Bachelor last night? It was Trashtastic!!!:lmao:

If you thought the Bachelor ladies were trashtastic you should try and watch Rock of Love Bus. OMG!!! I think half of what those "ladies" did is illegal in most of the U.S. :scared1: This show is far worse than any of the other Rock of Love shows so far and it was just the premier.

(I know, I know - you are saying "Rock of Love?, Really? How can you watch that garbage?" What can I say? It is one of my guilty pleasures. And it makes me feel soooo much better about myself after watching an episode.) :lmao:

I think Rock of Love is hilarious! I watch it not because I think he's going to find love, but because I am in awe that people actually behave like that.

I have only watched the first Rock of Love, but it was a marathon. My DH was so mad when I wanted to stay up late so I could watch the final episode. I had watched like 7 hours of it. I could not take my eyes off what those women where doing.

Just to follow on what Paul and Aaaron have said here:

In everyday life us Disney fans get the crazy looks when we say that we like Disney. I have always looked for a place where I feel that I fit in. I can tell you that the disboards are such a special place for me. I have met people here that I consider friends and family.

Thanks so much to Pete and John and all the Unplugged crew for creating a space where we can connect with each other and share our love for Disney.

Pete and John are some of the most generous people I have ever met. I really enjoyed meeting Pete face to face for the first time at Mousefest, and he is the genuine article. I could see the joy he had in meeting everyone and giving us the TSM party.

We are still finalizing our plans, but I hope that we will be on the cruise. The podcast cruise is something very special, and I hope that everyone can see that. TSM was a once in a lifetime event for me and my family, and I know that the podcast cruise will be even better.

Thank you guys. Blessings upon you and the work that you do.

man, you guys are good hijackers. i don't watch the Bachelor anymore, but i saw the end of that True Beauty- pretty funny.

oh and my sister's BF was on Season 6 of the Bachelor (with the professional bass fisherman)- she was one of the final two- he came to Dallas and met my sister and she was on the show twice- including the 'after the rose'- they flew her out and my sis got to berate the guy for not choosing Tanya. she lost out to Mary. She was in my sister's wedding last month- recognize her? :rotfl: :lmao:

We love BBT.

It's one of the few things on TV that make us laugh out loud.

You can buy old episodes on iTunes and the $1.99 you spend on "The Luminous Fish Effect" from last year will be money well spent.

Laurie Metcalf (Roseanne's TV sister) gives a hilarious performance as Sheldon's mother.

I've watched it 10 times and laugh every single time.

This year's episode where Penny gives Sheldon his Christmas present is a future classic as well.

Funniest show on TV.....and make sure you pause TiVo and read the thing at the end of the show. They are usually funny as well.

Italy it's a beautiful country specially for tourism...but as we are "europeans" many people here likes "tradition"... I think something balanced is great, I mean shopping outdoors is great when it isn't freezing cold or raining ahahahah.. as for tv shows.. Italian tv shows aren't good...

We're huge BBT fans here, too. DH is a computer geek, so some of it's close to home - which makes it even funnier!

We eat far more Nutella than two people should! We eat it on bread. We eat it on toast. We eat it on tortillas. We eat it on pancakes. We eat it off the spoon. We lick it off the knife.
But our favorite way to eat it is on a large breakfast croissant or on a nice fresh hot crêpe.

There seems to be a lot of controversy about how we’re giving away the last free podcast - some are saying we are being unfair, some are saying we are breaking the law.

To be honest what was supposed to be fun has now just turned out to be a royal pain.

I have decided that we won't be giving one more cruise away. We have given away the original allotment we had and this was an 'extra' one I threw in at the last minute. So to avoid any more hurt feelings or concerns that we might be breaking the law the last cruise will not be given away.

Sorry.

John

Oh John and podcast crew-

You know the more I think about this, the more upset I get.

Not for me, not for us, but for John and the Podcast Team. It's just wrong that someone that has made us laugh and has given so much to us over the course of the year has to get so frustrated trying to do one nice thing for us.

We should be paying for John's cruise.

I totally agree, I am upset for them. How great they have been to this community, I feel badly that they had to deal with this-
The real gift is the podcast cruise itself, and the podcasts each week we all enjoy- oh, and Pete's rants! :rotfl:

Think about the silkiest creamiest peanut butter you've ever had........now imagine it being chocolate instead...with a subtle taste of hazelnut.....yummmmmm....my mouth is watering.....

Ever tried Sweetened Condensed Milk? ;) It's even better.

Hmmm. Ya know, I have both in the cabinet. I wonder what sweetened condensed milk mixed with Nutella tastes like? :woohoo:

If you want a Coma,

try the Chocolate Cake from Costco. I think it weighs about 10 pounds and it is really Death by Chocolate.

That will definately put you in a diabetic coma.

Sounds like we have the same recipe - dark chocolate godiva, dutch chocolate vodka, creme de cacao, and half and half. It's 5 o'clock somewhere, right?

Similar, I use straight vodka not chocolate vodka though. Other than that its the same. I little chocolate sauce spread in the glass for presentation too!

I am honored! DH came home between court sessions (today is my RDO for working Saturday) but of course he has to wear his gun/badge/cuffs even though he is in a suit -- usually I only see him in uniform so it is odd to see him wearing his gun while he's in a suit and for some reason it made me think of you (maybe it was the whole bringing your weapon to work thing??) My therapist tells me I am really over it, really.

From a girl in a non-gun owning country i have to :scared1: at this one! Guns only ever appear on American TV shows, they don't happen for REAL in my mind!

I'm sure you do Puck. I have sold a ton of stuff over the years. I sold four rifles last year and used the money as a down payment for DVC!! It's amazing how your priorities change over time. I still have plenty of them to have fun with though. :thumbsup2
