Mini DIS Meet at DL today! 11:30am at Pizza Port

Hey - should have posted this on the podcast board earlier, but it just didn't occur to me. It's been on the DL board, though.

A whole passle of us are meeting at 11:30am today at Redd Rocket's Pizza Port for lunch. Even Mary Jo is coming!!!!! There should be at least 20 or more and we'll all be sporting our LGMHs!

We're all so excited! If any locals are looking for something to do today, come on down!!!!

Have a terrific time. Next time we go down, I will be sure to find out if anyone is having a meet. It would be fun to meet some of you crazy DIS folks :cool1:

We had a blast! It was great to see folks and to meet Mary Jo, the wonam who is Mom/Moderator to the DL Board!

We had gotten there late and got stuck in the throngs of folks trying to get into the parks. The line of cars waiting to park at Mickey and Friends (the massive garage) was stopped all the way on the bridge into the structure. Then, we were smart in taking the monorail in, but it took us a while.

The highlights:

Meeting everyone - Pixiewings and her husband, Waisowskilover, DisneyLove, Axiom, Shyboy, TooCherie, and of course, the honorable Mary Jo.
Sharing the remains of one of the seasons last handpulled candy canes - made by the master craftsmen at the Candy Palace and Mr. Guy Fieri of Food Network fame. (I got 2 of the 20 made for the taping of that show.) The best part was sharing them with people who "got" their importance and appreciated it!

Sorry we missed it! We've been staying at the HoJo all weekend and my time on the boards has been very limited so I missed seeing the info about the meet at Pizza-Port.

I can sure relate to the lines just trying to get into the park. YIKES! :eek:

I do! I have to get them uploaded into Flickr, but I'll try to do that today. It was a really fun experience and the candy canes were beatutiful and flavorful.

I'll also post up a group shot of all of us that were there when we arrived late.
