Today we were to leave for FW for a week of relaxation. Just us, our pooch in a spa kennel for the week. Unfortunately my wife has spent the month of december trying to recover from a work injury that requires more surgery on monday with about 3 months of healing and rehab. We have made a halloween 09 reservation already. So we hope someone is enjoying the site we opened back up about 3 weeks ago.

Been there done that.....we had to cancel our Halloween trip due some surgery that I had back in October. I really know how you guys feel.... Keep reading the Camping boards here and it will be almost like you're there.

Good Luck and prayers go out your way for the surgery and a quick recovery!

Been there done that too ... we had to cancel for November because I had knee surgery on October 31. Hope your wife recovers quickly!

I'm sure you both are disappointed. Pixie dust for a successful surgery and quick recovery. :pixiedust:

Hope planning the Halloween trip helps ease the pain. :flower3:

Same here!!! We had to cancel because I am not healthy enough and my DH job keeps changing schedules on us....I feel your pain. But since the military discounts are good all year....I still have hope.

I'm sorry Jim, it always stings when you realize "I'm supposed to be so and so by now" when you have to cancel a trip. :grouphug:

First, thanks for all your responses. My wife is home now recovering and starting her exercises for the arm and shoulder. Thankfully my boss is understanding and I've been able to adjust my work schedule to stay home most of this week. Time helps heal the body and were trying to be as positve as we can and will focus on getting healthy and then worry about the next camping trip. Only about 290 days anyway. Again thanks
