Hello & golf cart an option FYI.

Hi Guys-
This is my first post- long time lurker.
We will pulling our Wanderlodge into the Fort for the third time in three years so I guess we are hooked. We just booked our first Christmas next year at the fort and are very excited. We were about to book a golf cart then saw the total price. EEEk! So after reading all the fantastic posts in this forum we started looking at costs we dedcided on a plan C.

On craigslist we found an old and need of help cart for $250.
My dad is handy, so after we replace a few things (Batteries, paint) we should own a cart for a $100 more than we would pay for a week long rental at the fort.

I have bought 2 golf carts from craigslist. As long as you have a way to get the cart to FW then owning it is the way to go. They are a lot of fun to have around the house. How ever if you don't have a way to get it there thats a whole other story believe me I have been there. Oh yeah WELCOME.

After we rented a cart for a trip, thats what we did.We didn't buy from Craigslist but, we still figured that if we wanted to have a cart at the fort that the one time investment would be cheaper than renting within a year..

i agree i would never pay what they want to rent one.
