Anyone else get one for Christmas? We got one from my Dad, and I was SOOO excited!! It has been sold out here for months, so it was nice he found it where he lives.
First off, this game MAKES you want to exercise! Every time you get better at something, they unlock another new game or yoga position.
Secondly, it weighs you, checks your balance, and also tells you how really fat you are with the Body Mass Index number. My favorite part is when it calculates your Wii Fit Age. This is how well your body test went along with your real age.... let's just say, I was older than my real age of 34!
I have worked out 30 mins in the morning and at night every day since last week and have lost 3.8 lbs!!! I am also joining Weight Watchers to help with the weight loss process.
I would love to hear from others who have it. :)

I picked it up a week ago Friday. Our GameStop told me they would have a couple when they opened at 6 am that day. It was me and one guy waiting for the store to open and we got the 2 they had.
I love it. I'm getting some good workouts in with running, boxing, step aerobics, hula hooping, and some of the strength exercises.
The balance games are fun.
I haven't tried yoga yet.

I would really like to get this, but I'm not sure I'm ready for the transformation it's going to cause my mii to have.

Congratulations on your weight loss!! That's terrific.
I got a wii yesterday and wii fit today. I, also, am in love with it. :goodvibes I like how you set a goal. And you're so right about it making you want to work out more. If I did bad on an exercise I'd do it again and then again and again trying to beat my score. And I love when it gives you your minutes in the bank. And if I do well, I move on to a different sport so I can try that one. It's very motivating!
Here's to continued health improvements. BTW my age is 47 and my wii fit age: 62 "which means you are much weaker than you should be." a polite way for it to tell me I'm a sloth ;)
I did 34 minutes this afternoon and will do more tomorrow. BTW I did really well on Weight Watchers but after moving away from my favorite leader I'm having a hard time making myself go to another meeting. It really worked for me when I went though.

My Wii Fat initially said I was obese... This almost got it put back in the box but now it just classifies me as overweight. I have a lousy center of balance and need to NEVER get on a soccer field as a goalie because I only get hit by shoes and panda heads. Oh, and I can't hula hoop.

Well mine says I am overweight too. And I hit some balls but for some reason the shoes seem to find me most! I can hula hoop but only catch about half of the ones thrown to me. And I run over the ski flags :lmao: But little mii people clap for me anyway at the end.

I think it is a laugh-riot!!!
My class was obese when I started, and it made my little Mii into a pillsbury Mii, and the ever kind 7 yr old said "Gosh mom, you're not THAT fat!!!!!
I play on it alot, but have found that the mario/sonic olympics gives you a good workout too(4X4 relay in swimming is a bear!!!)
everyone at work laughs when I come to work with really sore forearms----from trying to beat an old score on the @*&!^!%$!$ Wii
if you have a wii, I'd get a fit------it will actually scold you for not training for 3 days -------i'd swear it knows when you had pizza too..........:scared1:

Now that's funny! :rotfl:
We got the Wii for Christmas but can't find the Wii Fit anywhere! So far we're just getting a work out with Wii Sports!

DH got me one for Christmas although we both use it. My son thinks its hilarious when I get hit in the head with shoes.:rotfl: Great encouragement. It also made a mistake with my DH's weigh in and said he only weight 5 pounds. Now it keeps thinking that should be his goal weight.:lmao:

I'm more than a little frightened by what a Wii would call me.
Thankfully, I can't seem to find a Wii to buy.

Im with you on that!! I hit more panda heads than soccer balls. I also should NEVER ski until I am fully ready to jump! I dont know how many times I have rolled down the hill in a snowball because I could never get the hang of when to stand straight. I am really loving the yoga and strength training. And who knew I loved to BOX so much? I can't get enough of boxing!!
Oh, and yes, I was also in the Obese class, and my poor Mii looks like the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man with long blond hair.
If you can get your hands on one, its worth it!

We got one on Dec 27th. I still haven't used it! Well, I registered and watched my Mii turn into a flotation device, but haven't been on it since! I wonder how bad it's gonna scold me when I finally do it again!
Is there a way to post video on here? I used my Blackberry to take video of DS hula-hooping, and it's so dang funny! It's funny every time I watch it. Although it's still not as funny as seeing him do it in person! Wait-I better stop making fun. I haven't done it yet and can imagine my fat Mii hula hooping is going to be a sight to see.
I'm glad to hear you can lose a few pounds on it. Part of the reason I haven't done anything with it is cause I figured it would just be a waste of time. Guess I better get it out and start Fit-ting!

That penguin game is the funniest and I still don't have the hang of it - dang that red fish! :lmao:
I tried Wii Fit for the first time at a gf retreat in the summer and it was such a hoot I blabbed on and on about it to DH. He loves video games so I thought he'd say we should get a Wii, instead he said it was stupid! :sad1: Turns out he wanted to steer me away from it so he could surprise me with one for our anni in Sept. :goodvibes
The big surprise for him is he bought all these other games for me with it, and I haven't even tried those games once :rotfl: I was on Fit every nite for the first couple of months and loved it and then travel and holidays 'stopped' me. But starting tomorrow when things go back to normal, I shall be a tight rope falling, shoe spanking, offbeat aerobic dancing, can't hold yoga pose, off balance, red fish missing, mii again! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
cheers,
:santa:

I would love to have one but I'm afraid of another electronic obsession! Without quitting my job I don't know how I would fit it in. I work in an orthopaedic office where we have a physical therapy facility and they are using the Wii Fit for therapy. They call it WiiHab.

hmm WiiFit that's that thing tucked under the TV gathering dust but giving evil looks....
I was really good when we got ours a few months back but soon fell out of love with it when it told be I'd put weight on when I hadn't cheated once on my diet and had been doing all the muscle workouts and cardio everyday. hmm maybe I'll get brave and start again.

This is the greatest itsn't it! I am a little suspicious about its weight calculations. I supposedly gained three pounds since I started??? I guess I will have to start weighing myself nude.

maybe you had the board in a different place on the floor especially if on carpet ?

Also, if you are putting your WiiFit on the carpet, you will probaby have to attach those round disk things onto each one of the legs. I'm not sure what they are called, but they elevate the WiiFit a little bit more off the floor. If you don't use them when you are on carpet, they can give you an inaccurate weight reading. Mine said that I was 10 lbs. lighter than I was, which was nice, but totally untrue. Once I added the round disks, I got an accurate reading.

I like my Wii Fat..er..Fit, well enough.
Except when I skip a day and the babydoll voice chastises me that I was too busy to work out the day before.
I know the secret of the Red Fish. From the opposite side, slide across until you get to the very end of the iceberg and quickly shift your weight to the other leg, making the iceberg act as a springboard. I still time it poorly now and again and end up in the ocean, but if you time it right, you can get the Red Fish. :)
Oh, I don't care what the weight fluctuations are, as it still tells me I'm obese. :rolleyes1

I'm REALLY lovin' ours. My Wii age is 40....which is exactly what I am. :thumbsup2 I'm 25 pounds overweight and my Mii is also a bit on the pudgy side. My balance is perfect, however. DM and I did it for 3 hours today! I'm always trying to get the highest score. It's my motivation....That and it's so darn fun! I unlocked the penguin/fish, boxing and free step games today along with some Yoga and Strength exercises....which I don't really like doing. This is how I spent my day off today. :woohoo:

Oh I know HOW to do it, it's just that I CAN'T do it :lmao: :lmao:
I slide across and keep going right into the ocean. Where there are 4 blue fish and 1 green fish on once side of the iceberg you'll find mii on the other side of the iceberg doing the happy dance all by myself. :sad2: :rotfl2:

I had to post on this...I also got the Wii Fit for Christmas and LOVE IT!! :lovestruc
I am laughing out loud at work and my office mates are probably giving me weired looks behind my back :)
My Mii also looks like the Michelin man. I was not ready for that as I was setting up my profile!
I am loving the cardio stuff...I feel like I can do the hula hoop better now, but I still don't want to do it in front of anyone.
And my advice...if you are having a party and want to have some laughs, have everyone try the hula hoop...I had some family over after Christmas and two of my brothers and cousin did it (all boys, btw) and my SIL was laughing so hard she was crying.

I got the Wii Fit when it first came out...I LOVE it... I was waiting for the release date and sent my son (I had to work) to buy one for me and one for my mother.....I gave her to her for her birthday.
I am recovering from surgery I had Dec 18 so Im not allowed to work out...but I see my Dr tomorrow for a post Op check up.....he said no working out for three months ( I also do Aquafit and Body sculpting class) but Im hoping he will let me do Wii Fit...at least the jogging and the step class.
I think watching my boys ( DS (18) and DH) do the hula hoops is HILARIOUS!!Men just don't seem to be able to move their hips the same as us women do.
