My friend, a CM in WDW, said she heard the Star Wars Weekends dates for 2009 would be May 22 to June 14... Just passing on a bit of info..

It was apparently in the cast newsletter so looks like these dates are correct. Cool surprise for May people! Stinks for the last half of Juners who made plans based on the last two years. Thankfully we played it safe and scheduled right in the middle of June so we'll be there for the last weekend. phew!

I spoke w/Disney travel last week to check when the official release would be. The cm said to check back this week, and they usually have their calendars six months in advance. I really wish they would go ahead and release the dates, I want to book my trip!!!:hyper:

Any thoughts on what the crowds will be like that first weekend? I usually go during early December or other less crowded times, but my oldest is a huge SW fan, so I might try to book a trip then.

I was there in 2007. Crowds were huge for SWW.

Thanks. We might just stick with our plans to go in December. He's only six; we'll save the big crowds for when he's a little older.

Too bad, because the kid is OBSESSED with Star Wars!
