Echinops-Also called Globe Thistle. I know the nut plants thistle. Not only one a couple of different kinds. :)

Actually Globe Thistle is a very beautiful plant when planted in large numbers, it what they call false thistle. It's a great summer flower that requires low-maintenance.

Globe thistle likes sun and ordinary well drained soil. It grows to heights of 24-60 inches. Is loves by butterflies. It has blue globe flowers, kind of prickly to the touch. There also is a white variety.
