I have just confirmed a resale purchase for property at OKW through the Timeshare Store. Very Excited about it. Everything looks in order, but I have a few questions. Is there anything I should know about buying a resale property? Has anyone ever dealt with the Timeshare Store and how was your dealings? Should I know anything else?
Thanks

We just closed on a resale purchase yesterday with the Timeshare Store. Pat Spell was the one who handled our transaction. The whole process was quite easy and took 27 days from our initial contact to Pat until the closing yesterday. Good luck!!

Mickey,
You just agreed to a purchase - But your question sounds like your unsure about something and you didnt specify your feelings in words for an answer. Blurt it out - there's no such thing as a stupid question - there are plenty of people here to help and they do a great job of it too btw.

We purchased thru Timeshare Store (Shontell Crawford who I believe is no longer there) and it was painless.
My DH (who works in the real estate business) has TONS of questions aand was skeptical. We called the BBB and the Chmaber of Commerce in Orlando and all gave TSS a good report. We questioned, we negoititated and we got what we wanted.
We are proud owners of OKW.............Noww I need more points!!
We are in the process of purchasing through the Timeshare Store and so far we have no complaints, things seem to be moving quickly.

Timeshare store did a nice job. Answered all our questions-no baloney. We bought an OKW re-sale a couple months ago. Shontell was our gal, too. Her father runs the place. I think his name is Tom. He's a good old boy.

I have had no problems, I was just looking to see if anyone had any problems before. I am very happy and excited about the purchase. This is something I have been wanting to do for 5 years, but I finally made the decision to do it. I know I should have done it 5 years ago, but better late than never.
Thanks for everyone advise and help.

I just took a shot because of the many happy posts about The Timeshare Store because we saw the same use year at our home resort ( we wanted enough points for any combo of dates/rooms ) having the 11month window - DVC told us there was no use year for sept. and we could go on a waitlist, with the price increase comming that became a no-brainer. The Sept use year showed on the TTS web site for enough points and after a short and helpful talk with Pat we made our offer and the seller agreed 40 mins later. Recieved paperworkyesterday and we will fax/mail paperwork today - we arent looking to use the add-on points for anything this year ( Look Below ) so I can wait the 4-7 weeks it may take to finalise. The process was not an ordeal with both the seller and myself not looking to "steal" anything.
Resales are the same in every aspect as a purchase straight from DVC itself.
Congratulations and "Welcome Home!"
